The woman turns to Harvey, who can hardly contain his eagerness to see her again. But his disappointment is unmissable the moment he lays eyes on her.

"I- I'm sorry. I mistook you for someone else," he apologizes, swiftly turning away before the woman has a chance to respond.

'You're an idiot,' he berates himself silently. 'What were you thinking? She. Is. Taken,' he emphasizes, annoyed with his own misjudgment. He returns to his original spot and waits for his client. Later, he calls Ray to pick him up. As he settles into the car and glances to his left, he sees her again, this time for real. She's in a red dress that falls just past her knees, her red hair falling perfectly over her shoulders. Despite her sunglasses, he recognizes her unmistakable face. He briefly considers getting out of the car, but then remembers the man and decides against it. She seems engrossed in her phone and doesn't notice Harvey. When she finally looks up and spots him, she almost drops her phone. As she begins to move towards him, Ray starts driving away, and once again, she slips out of his reach.

"No!" she utters quietly.

'So, Donna. That settles it. That's clear evidence he's not interested.'

'Enough of this,' Harvey mutters to himself, frustrated. 'She's married,' he rationalizes, trying to quell his disappointment.

When Harvey returns to the firm in the late afternoon, he can hardly believe his eyes. There she is again, talking to a couple of people who seem to be waiting for someone. She looks stunning, and he could watch her all day. He hears her laugh when Ian tells a joke, and they are the only ones laughing. It was the worst joke the lawyer had ever heard. For a split second, he considers going over to say hello, but only for a split second. As soon as he spots Ian, his courage fails him. He quickly hurries to the entrance to escape the situation. If he had stayed just half a minute longer, he would have seen Rachel join the group, and all his questions would have been answered

... ... ...

"I can't believe it! You met her again? Twice in a day?" Mike states excitedly two days later when Harvey finally tells him."You must be soulmates," he jokes, but Harvey's glare shuts him down.

"What? Come on. What are the odds of seeing the same person twice in one day in different parts of Manhattan?" Mike continues, undeterred. "Not to mention the other time you saw her, and she probably saw you too."

"Sure," Harvey says sarcastically. "She saw me and ran away."

"You did the same," Mike counters.

"Yeah, because I have a good reason. She's taken," Harvey emphasizes. "I'm not."

"She doesn't know that. Maybe she saw you with a female client and thinks the same about you," Mike suggests optimistically.

"Yeah, Mike, and in two days we'll meet again, find out we're both single, and live happily ever after... with a baseball team of kids," Harvey scoffs.

"Wow, Romeo, that's your dream, isn't it?" Mike laughs, earning a sharp glare from Harvey. Mike clears his throat "I better leave" he says quietly, before Harvey decides to unleash a mountain of paperwork on him.

"You damn right you should."

In the evening

Donna shares the story with Rachel over wine at Mike and Rachel's condo.

"I can't believe it. Maybe the universe is really trying to tell you something," Rachel muses.

"Yeah, that I should stop chasing after a stranger who happened to be at the right place at the right time to save my life.

He saw me, he could have gotten out. He recognized me, I'm sure of it. He even nodded slightly and had a smile on his face," Donna remembers.

"I'm sorry," Rachel offers sympathetically.

"Well, I seem to always pick the wrong men. They're either taken or jerks," Donna sighs.

"Maybe he smiled because he saw me staring at him after I took off my sunglasses. People do that when they feel uncomfortable. Probably Ian is right, and he's already forgotten all about it," she states taking a sip of her wine.

"You told him?"

"what no, of course not. But he saw my reaction today and I think he knows anyway. I'm too often too distracted lately"

They speak up simultaneously.

"why don't you just tell him I mean he-"

"When's Mike coming? I'd like to meet him," Donna changes the subject and Rachel accepts her decision.

"He'll be here soon," Rachel says just as Mike walks in, and introductions are made

... ... ...

A week later, both Harvey and Donna have come to terms with the fact that their by chance meeting meant nothing and decided to focus on their real lives. They avoid discussing it further in front of Mike and Rachel.

"Mike, I need you to go over to Jessica and review those documents with her," Harvey instructs.

"Me? Harvey, I appreciate your faith in me, but that's something senior partners should handle. I'm not sure I can handle that," Mike hesitates.

"I wouldn't ask if I didn't think you could," Harvey assures him.

"I don't think Jessica will go for it," Mike adds.

"I don't care," Harvey asserts firmly.

"Harvey, I get that you're upset with her, and so am I," Mike acknowledges.

"But?" Harvey prompts.

"It's your job, and whether you like it or not, she's the managing partner. We have to work with her. And... she is sorry," Mike defends.

"She never said that" Harvey counters.

"But you know she is," Mike argues.

"Well, Mike, if there's one thing I've learned, it's that saying something and feeling something are two very different things. Jessica never said she was sorry; she said she'd do it again. How is that an apology in your book?" Harvey questions.

"Yeah, but I can see it through her actions. She accepts everything you say, even though she has a different opinion," Mike observes. "She's trying to be on good terms with you again. I mean she even put your name on the wall" Mike tries. He knows how much they mean to each other and even though Jessica really screwed up, she cares about Harvey and does he. Otherwise he would've accepted Darby's offer to work against Jessica and becoming managing partner. But he declined and made Mike going over to Jessica to tell her.

"Because she knows the merger was a mistake, and I was right. If it had worked out the way she thought, she wouldn't care how I feel" Harvey says bitterly.

"Are you on her side now?"

"No, for sure not and yeah maybe you're right, but I screwed up, too and you forgave me"

"First of all, she threatened you and second you proved you were sorry. She did it voluntarily and never apologized," Harvey points out.

"Okay, I'll give it a shot," Mike concedes, though he senses his friend's disapproval.

"No, you're right. I'm the senior partner; I should handle this myself." He rethinks when Mike is about to leave.

Trying to lighten the mood, Mike changes the subject after a brief pause.

"I met Rachel's friend yesterday. It's a shame she's going back to Seattle. You two would be a perfect match. Much better than the woman you saved. She's a pretty redhead," Mike teases, noticing Harvey's reaction to the mention of 'red head.'A smile building up on his face, he doesn't notice himself.

"Oh god, you're still thinking about her," Mike realizes.

"Mike, I appreciate... whatever this is supposed to be, but I'm done with relationships." Harvey admits, his tone serious.

Seeing his reaction wasn't what Mike was expecting, Harvey decides to joke, "Does Rachel know you talk about her friend like that? Maybe I should have a word with her."

"First, I said she's your match. And second, she's too old for me but perfect for you," Mike teases further.

"Are you calling me old?" Harvey raises an eyebrow.

"Yeah," Mike nods. "That's exactly what I just said."

"I think you should better leave before—" Harvey stops short as he sees Donna through the glas wall, talking with Rachel.

"Harvey?" Mike asks, following his gaze.

"Who's that?" he asks, nodding his head toward Donna.

"Uh, that's Donna, Rachel's friend I mentioned- wait, is she... is she that woman?" Mike asks, disbelieving, as Harvey nods subtly.

"Thank you, Donna. You really saved me," Rachel thanks her friend who brought her some documents Rachel forgot in their apartment.

"Yeah, sure," Donna smiles back.

"Give me a second. I'll ask Mike if he's free tonight to grab something to eat. Maybe Harvey wants to join us too," Rachel suggests.

"Yeah, sure, why not," Donna agrees, glancing at the two friends. Rachel notices her distraction almost immediately.

"Donna? Is everything okay?" Rachel inquires.

"That's him," Donna replies quietly.

"Him? Him?" Rachel presses for clarification, and Donna nods.

"The man who saved me," she confirms and walks towards Harvey's office.

"I don't believe it" Rachel whispers, her look changing from Donna to Harvey multiple times.
