The front doors to the Hellhound adoption agency burst open, as a big horned imp with a partly burnt face happily walked out. Followed by a disinterested Hellhound, in a long red shirt with a black skull on it.
"Ah, take it in little Loonie," Blitzo said "This is the first day of your new life,"
"I'm 17," Loona said. Her face buried into her cellphone, not even bothering to look up at her new owner, or the outside world. "So, what am I? Your new gardener? Maid? Bodyguard? Some performance piece for your fancy loser friends at parties?"
"Well, I do have plans for an amazing new business venture down the road," Blitzo said "Just need a bit more time to get everything up and running. Huh! Which reminds me, we need to take you shopping. Can't have you greeting clients looking like this. Is that blood on this shirt? Oh, and that old dog fart said I need to schedule you for your Hellbies shot soon. She says it takes a while to get the appointment though."
"The longer the better," Loona said "A bit of fear in eyes just then,"
"Anyway, my ride's just over here," Blitzo said pointing to a banged up grey and red van nearby "C'mon my new baby girl,"
"Please don't call me that," Loona said
A part of her was screaming to make a break for it. Yet she knew all that would do was land back in the kennels. And this place she was leaving was full of nothing but painful memories.
-Flashback-
A five year old Loona held the hand of her Hellhound father
"This sure is a big daycare center daddy," the puppy Loona said to her biological dad
"It's a wonderful place Loona," Her father reassured her "There's so many happy pups to play with, you'll make a bunch of new friends,"
Just then, another Hellhound parent began to leave the agency. She was very grey, with long black hair "Don't worry Vortex, mommy's just going to the store, I'll be back later."
As she then walked by Loona and her dad, she muttered something under her breath
"Dad, what's a dipshit?" Loona asked hearing what the other Hellhound said
"Oh," Loona's dad said "That's a... really cool person honey. Yeah."
"So, I'm a dipshit?" Loona saked
"You sure are Loona," her dad said "In fact everyone here's a dipshit,"
It didn't take long for Loona to learn what that word really meant. As she was soon thrust into a cage, and developed her "attitude problems."
-End flashback-
The sound of a horn beeping snapped Loona back into reality. "C'mon Loonie, I know a great mall to get you some nice threads. Then we can stop for coffee, you like pup cups?" Blitzo said
"Can't be worse that sharing a kennel with that little yellow brat," Loona thought. Recalling the pup she'd beaten up before Blitzo began begging to adopt her.
With that, the young Hellhound got her new owners van
"You like music?" Blitzo asked turning the radio on.
A rock song about a crazy girlfriend and mustang dongs blasted from the speakers.
"Oh! I love thing song!" Blitzo said driving off with his new Hellhound Daughter
