"Pregnant!?" Dakota gasped in shock. "How the hell did this even happen!?"
"Well," Angela replied with a smirk, "when a man and a woman really love each oth- OW!" The older girl cuffed the younger girl upside the head with an annoyed expression.
"Have you thought about this?" Dakota continued. "Vincent can't go out in public. Where is the nearest hospital? What about an obstetrician? Prenatal care!?"
"I didn't think about any of those things. How come you did? I mean, look. Women have given birth to healthy babies for centuries before the invention of prenatal vitamins, and we don't need a hospital because I can do a water birth in the bathtub."
"So, you're totally fine doing a completely natural birth without an epidural or anything to help with the pain?"
"Bo, where's the nearest hospital?" Angela turned her head to look at her partner's brother.
"30 minutes from here," Bo replied with a soft chuckle.
"That settles that then," Angela sighed softly, resting her head on Vincent's shoulder. She suddenly frowned at the idea of Vincent not being with her while giving birth to their child. She didn't really care about getting ultrasounds. Vincent wrapped his arm around his angel and kissed her forehead.
"I can take her to the hospital when it's time," Bo stated determinedly. "It'll be easy enough to say she's my sister and we don't have ID on us. They wouldn't turn away a pregnant woman in active labor.
"It could work…" Dakota sighed, running her fingers through her hair. "I just wish we could at least get Angie in for a checkup, at least to make sure that the development is normal so far…"
"Would they be able to tell the sex?" Vincent wondered aloud.
"Not quite," Angela told him. "You can tell by 18 – 20 weeks. I'm still only 12 – 15 weeks."
"I don't really care what our baby is, as long as they're healthy," he admitted, "considering that I never even thought I'd ever have any…" Angela's expression softened as she cupped his jaw in her hand and kissed him sweetly.
"You're going to be a wonderful father, Vince," she reassured him, smiling softly. "Just like you're a wonderful partner." Vincent smiled and kissed her again. She kissed back, gently nibbling on his bottom lip as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Her lips parted and he slipped his tongue past to tease hers.
"Get a room!" Dakota snorts, giggling. Vincent and Angela both laughed softly as they reluctantly separated. He was just glad that it seemed like their life was back on track. Even though he understood she had little control over the way her hormones affected her, he had been miserable while she wasn't herself. He was glad his angel was affectionate with him again instead of pushing him away.
"Now there's the matter of taking care of yourself, little sister," Bo interjected. "I can do a run for prenatal vitamins, but we also have to make sure you're eating plenty. We also have to restrict your activity."
"That's not fair, Bo!" Angela whined.
"No pouting, Angie. We want to make sure you carry to term, right?"
"Fine…" Angela stuck her tongue out at Bo.
"I can't believe you just turned 20…" Dakota sighed.
"I can't believe you're only 21," Angela shot back, "since you act so old." Dakota rolled her eyes and headed back to the kitchen to remove herself from the conversation. Bo followed, stepping up behind her as she tended to dinner on the stove, wrapping his arms around her waist. He dropped his head, trailing kisses down the curve of her neck and across her shoulder. She mewled softly as she tilted her head to give him easier access, then turned in his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck as she kissed him. He tugged her hips to his, grinding his erection against her.
"Maybe we could think about having one of our own, huh, darlin'?" Bo purred in her ear, grinning at the way her cheeks turned red.
"Maybe we could worry about getting Angie and Vince through theirs first," Dakota suggested. "Having us both pregnant and less able at the same time isn't an ideal situation. I like the way you're thinking though." She rubbed her hands over his chest and grabbed his shirt collar as she kissed him again. He groaned softly as he kissed back, sliding his hands down to squeeze her ass. She whined softly and pushed him away, turning back to dinner.
"That has to wait," she whispers, giggling.
Later that night, Angela sighed softly as she scooped Cheshire into her arms, receiving a chirpy meow. He was no longer the tiny kitten she found and had reached a good 10 pounds. She nuzzled his soft fur as he purred in her arms. She set him back down before climbing into bed and getting comfortable before holding her arms out to Vincent. He eagerly accepted her invitation, getting into bed and holding her close as he kissed her sweetly.
"Did you really mean what you said earlier, angel?" he asked, looking and sounding morose. "I thought I was never going to be a father. Ours was too weak to stay and take care of us. He took his own life after Mother passed because he couldn't live without her… What if I'm weak like him? What if I can't take care of our child after you're gone?" His voice cracked and a single tear slid down his cheek.
"Oh, Vincent…" Angela responded soothingly as she cupped his face in both hands and gazed lovingly into his eyes. "I meant every word. You're going to be an incredible father. Twice now, you have vigilantly remained by my side and nursed me back to health while I was bedridden. I saw how you cradled Cheshire when I first brought him home. I see how you still cuddle with him when you think I'm asleep. Vince, you're so focused on what you think is wrong that you can't see anything that's so right. You are gentle, caring, passionate, and loyal. The best husband and best father anyone could ask for. I can't speak of your father, but I do know who you are deep down. I know that you would never abandon our child because you would never want to allow our child to feel the way that you did."
He hung on her every word, gazing deeply into her eyes as he allowed her words to give him the confidence he was missing. He held his beloved Angel even tighter and kissed her lovingly.
"Call me your husband again…"
"You are my amazing husband." She smiled warmly up at him.
"I want to marry you. I'm so glad you came into my life, my angel. Please… Please don't ever leave it…"
"I swear, Vince," she promised as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed him deeply, helping him strip their clothes off before letting him pin her beneath him. As he held her wrists above her head, he kissed her and lined himself up, spearing himself inside her as she gasped and groaned into the kiss. He lifted her legs in his hands and thrust steadily, moaning. She gripped his shoulders tightly as she whimpered in pleasure and arched into him.
"Vincent…" The way his name left her lips was like a drug, and he was an addict. He increased his pace, sliding one hand down to grip her throat, gently squeezing the sides of her neck. Her eyes glazed over as became lost to the pleasure. She was getting closer. He growled softly as he began thrusting harder. She soon cried out as she came, wrapping her limbs around him and shuddering. He cried out as he came deep inside of her. He slowly pulled out and collapsed beside her. She snuggled against him as they panted together. They fell asleep in each other's arms.
