Chapter 2:
46 Years Later:
In the town of Bellwood, the most normal place on Earth, in an elementary school, a young Ben Tennyson was waiting for the day to end, for it is the last day of school and that means his Summer Vacation can end. The bell then rings and Ben heads out, but not before he gets grabbed by someone, he was not happy to see.
"Hey Ben."
"Kevin, what do you want," asks Ben.
"You owe me money," says Kevin.
"What are you talking about," asks Ben, "I don't owe you anything."
"Oh yeah," says Kevin, "but I'm taking it anyway."
Kevin then takes the money and puts Ben in a trash can.
"You think everyone's afraid of you," asks Ben, "but one day, you're going to regret this."
"And what are you going to do," asks Kevin, "you're no hero, just a zero. Ben Zero." Kevin then walks away, laughing.
...
Ben finally made it to the Rust Bucket.
"Ben, what happened..." Ben's Grandpa Max began.
"I don't want to talk about it," says Ben.
"Don't tell me you were playing in trash," says Ben's cousin Gwen, "are you ever going to grow up?"
"What's Gwen doing here," asks Ben.
"Her Mother and I agreed that Gwen needed this too," says Max, "she spends too much time in a book."
"I was going to sign up for summer school," says Gwen.
The Tennysons then drove off.
...
In a lab, a man was entering until a security guard gets in his way. "This is for authorized personal only," says the guard.
"Oh, my mistake, but wait..." He holds up an ID card. "What's this?"
"Sorry, Dr. Animo... I thought... well, you look... like a hobo."
"Well, I assure you, I am no hobo. I am the greatest scientist the world will ever see. Now, if you excuse me, I have work to do." Dr. Animo then walks away.
...
Dr. Animo was in the lab. He remembered what he saw 46 years ago. "One day, I will show them all and they will never laugh at me again." He just needs his moment.
...
The Tennysons were camping in the woods. Max was making dinner...if you can call it that.
"I'm...gonna take a walk in the woods," says Ben as he leaves.
...
While in the woods, Ben sees something in the sky. A meteor, perhaps. Whatever it is, it lands right in front of him. Ben takes a look, and it opens, and it wasn't a meteor...just some kind of space pod...and a watch comes out and attaches itself to him. "Hey, I wasn't looking for a watch," says Ben, "how do I get this off?" Ben then touches something and the next thing he knows...he's on fire!
