First Day At Tomobiki!
Lum groaned as her eyes started to flutter open. She looked around to see that she was laying on a couch in her darling's house, covered by a blanket. She stretched out as she shook the blanket off of her body.
"Oh good! You're awake!" Came the voice of Nodoka. Lum turned to see her future mother-in-law and yawned as she stretched out.
"Oh, mother-in-law! What happened? Last thing I remember I was at Darling's school trying to give him the cure I made for his curse." The alien girl said as Nodoka just giggled.
"Ranma brought you back home after you passed out in his arms. You two looked so cute! Like a prince and his princess." Nodoka said as she giggled like a schoolgirl. Lum blushed a little at that image.
"So, uh, where's Darling at?" Lum asked. Nodoka giggled again and pointed to the towards the opposite chair. Lum turned her head to look where Nodoka was pointing and saw Ranma, passed out on a chair.
"He's never left your side. Not for a minute. He fell asleep waiting for you to wake up."
Lum blushed and cued at that. She got up and walked over to Ranma and knelt by his side. She smiled at his cute sleeping face. He was so nice and caring, it made her love him even more. Ranma started to stir and opened his eyes to see Lum looking at him with a lovestruck smile.
"Huh!?" He said as he jumps up with a start. He calmed down after realizing that it was just Lum.
"Oh, Lum! You're awake." He said. Lum smiled wider and tried to snuggle up to him.
"Good morning, Darling." She said. "So, you brought me all the way home, huh?" Ranma gulped, blushing up a storm as Lum moved her face closer to his.
"Um. Well, uh, I couldn't just leave her back at Furikan now, could I?" He said, trying to slip away from the cute alien girl. Lum just sat on his lap and wrapped her arms around him.
"Oh Darling." She said as she pulled him into a kiss. Ranma blushed as red as his shirt as Nodoka took pictures with her phone. After a moment, Lum released Ranma from the kiss and hugged him close.
"Oh Darling, I love you." She said. Ranma was so awestruck that he didn't know WHAT to say. But then his mother decided to 'help' him in that regard.
"Oh Ranma, didn't you promise Lum that you'd do something for her if she cured you of your curse?"
Lum shot up at that and Ranma paled.
"YES! You did! You promised that you'd call me your Lum from the top of a building if I cured you!" The green-haired alien said. Ranma gulped and started to sweat.
"Oh! Um...I did say that didn't I?" He wanted SOOOOO badly to be able to just disappear right now. But then a question popped into his head.
"Say, speaking of which, how the heck did you cure me Lum? And what was that weird gun you shot me with?" He asked.
"GUN!?" Nodoka gasped in shock. Lum flew up a few inches and waved her hands.
"HOLD ON! Let me explain!" She said. Nodoka clamed down and Lum took a deep breath.
"Well, after you said those things to me Darling, I took my ship to that place in China you said you got cursed at and took a sample of the water you fell into. I spent a whole week studying its properties and doing a whole bunch of experiments on that stuff, trying to find a way to counteract it. I spent countless all-nighters, but I FINALLY found a way to reverse the waters effects. So, I made a device that was meant to act as a cure for your curse and I went straight for your school."
Ranma and Nodoka were shocked. Lum actually used science to cure a magic curse? Honestly, they were impressed.
"Wait." Nodoka said. "You spent seven days and nights without ANY SLEEP!?" She asked in shock and worry. Lum nodded.
"Sheesh. No wonder you passed out after you shot me with that little cure gun of yours." Ranma said.
"Lum dear." Nodoka said, walking up to the floating alien. "While I'm happy you managed to cure my son of his curse, you really shouldn't neglect your sleep. I hate to think what would have happened if you passed out during your flight back to Furikan."
Lum blushed and scratched the back of her head. Ranma on the other hand was shocked. This girl had hardly known him for a week and she went through all that trouble to find a cure for him? Just so he would say that he liked her and that she was his girl? He honestly didn't know what to say.
"Lum...I..." Ranma tried to say. "Why would you go through so much trouble just for me?"
Lum turned to look at the man that won her heart the day he beat her in that game of tag and smiled.
"Because I love you Darling." She said as she as she hugged Ranma. The poor boy was too stunned to do anything except stand there. Could it be possible? Did this alien girl really love him?
'And...just what are my feelings towards her?' Were the thoughts that ran through Ranma's head that night as he fell asleep.
The next day, Lum flew into Ranma's room through the window. She looked over the sleeping form of her beloved darling. He looked so peaceful, even if he was snoring just a little bit.
"Darling. Oh Darling." She whispered softly, but Ranma just tossed and turned, not wanting to wake up just yet.
Lum decided to do something drastic. She took a deep breath and let out a shout that was sure to wake up her sleeping prince.
"GENMA, AKANE! GET OUT OF HERE!" Lum screamed. And it had the desired effect as Ranma shot up out of bed and looked ready for a fight.
"WHA!?" He screamed as he looked around for his father and ex-fiancé. He calmed down when he saw that the two of them were nowhere in sight. As he calmed down his racing heart, he looked around and saw Lum just hovering over his bed and looking at him with a smile.
"Lum? What ae you doing here?" He asked. Lum giggled.
"I just wanted to make sure you woke up in time for your first day at your new school Darling." Lum said.
"Huh? Oh yeah, that's right, I start Tomobiki High today." Ranma said as he started stretching out.
Ranma shooed Lum out of his room so he could get dressed. After getting dressed and brushing his teeth, Ranma headed down to the kitchen and saw Nodoka and Lum preparing the table.
"Uh, hey mom. Hey Lum." He said.
"Morning honey. Sit down, you have some time before school so let's have an actual family breakfast for once." Nodoka said. Ranma scratched his head and smiled sheepishly as he complied with his mother's wishes.
After breakfast, Ranma headed out the door, feeling much happier than he had the previous days. A new school, a life with his mom, no fiancé problems, no stupid pop bugging him to marry Akane or steal his food. Yep, life was actually starting to feel pretty good. Suddenly, Lum flew up beside him.
"Um, Lum? What are you doing?" He asked. Lum just giggled as she flew closer to Ranma.
"What else silly, I'm coming to school with you." She said like it was the most obvious thing. Ranma just tilted his head in confusion.
"Uh, why? It's not like you go to the same school as me you know." He asked.
"Married couples shouldn't spend too much time apart Darling." Lum answered. Ranma just gave her a deadpanned look.
"Lum, we are not married." He said as he kept walking. Lum gave him a cute pout.
"Not yet." She answered back. Ranma just smiled and shook his head. He had to admit, as far as fiancé's went, Lum was a blessing compared to Akane.
As the two kept heading to Ranma's new school, they heard the sound of two people arguing. Being curious, the two teens looked over to where the voices were coming from and saw two kids around their age arguing with each other.
"Come on, Shinobu! Cut me some slack!" Said the boy with short, messy brown hair. The other person, a young girl with maroon colored hair in a bob cut, was just turning her head away from the boy in a huff.
"Why should I? It's bad enough that you kept trying to hit on girls behind my back, but now you hit on women right in front of me? Forget it! I've given you TOO many chances as it is. We are through. I mean it this time." The girl, now known as Shinobu said. The boy grabbed her hands and brought them close to his chest.
"Baby, I promise, I'll never hit on another girl as long as..." The boy trailed off as he saw Lum and Ranma looking at them. Mostly Lum. And then he got a stupid perverted look on his face.
"HOT DAMN! SHE'S SEXY!" He said as he charged at Lum with open arms, only for his face to meet Ranma's foot.
"Back off pal." He said as the guy fell to the ground. Shinobu got mad and charged at what was soon to be her DEAD ex-boyfriend.
"I KNEW IT! YOU PERVERTED JERK!" She screamed as she kicked the downed boy HARD in the head. Hard enough to send him flying like a soccer ball. Ranma and Lum whistled as they saw the boy fly through the air.
"ATARU YOU UTTER SHIT! WE! ARE! THROUGH!" She screamed as she panted, trying to calm herself down.
"Hey, nice kick. You should try out for a soccer team." Ranma said to the girl. Shinobu suddenly remembered that she wasn't alone and turned to see the two people who witnessed her break up.
"Oh! Uh, sorry about that!" She said, scratching the back of her head in embarrassment.
"What was that about?" Lum asked. Shinobu suddenly realized that the girl was flying! That's when it hit her, she had seen these two before!
"Hey wait a minute! I've seen you before! You're the boy and the alien girl from the news!" She then started blushing. She knew that the Kung Fu boy was cute, but boy in person he was a lot more handsome!
"You ok? Your face is turning red, did you get sunburned?" Ranma asked. Shinobu blushed even more at Ranma's words.
"HUH!? Oh no, I'm fine! Honestly!" She said, waving her hands trying to cover her blushing face. Lum glared slightly at the girl. She couldn't help but notice that this maroon haired girl had the hots for her darling. She clung to Ranma's arm, not wanting to give this girl a chance at trying anything.
"So, just what did me and my DARLING happen to walk in on, huh? Were you and your boyfriend having a lovers spat or something?" She asked the other girl. Shinobu lost some of her blush and scowled.
"Well, kind of. And he's my EX-boyfriend now. Stupid jerk." She said. Ranma and Lum felt bad for the poor girl.
"I'm taking it that this guy does crap like that a lot huh?" Ranma asked. Shinobu nodded.
"Yeah. He's a serial pervert. I don't know why I put up with him for so long. But to think he'd try and go after a girl who CLEARLY already has somebody. I mean, practically the whole world saw you propose to that girl on the news."
Ranma blushed at that memory as Lum beamed and hugged Ranma closer. Ranma scratched the back of his head in embarrassment.
"Well, actually, I didn't actually propose to..." Ranma tried to say but Lum cut him off by hugging him to her bosom.
"What he means is, YES that was a charming memory! Thank you!" She said as Ranma blushed and tried to fight off a nosebleed. Shinobu blushed at the sight, these two actually seemed to be a happy couple. Even if the young pigtailed boy seemed to be trying to get away from his girlfriend.
"So, what are you evening doing in Tomobiki town? Last I heard you went to school at Furikan, don't you?" Shinobu asked. Ranma managed to get away from his alien companion's breasts to answer.
"Uh, well, actually I transferred to Tomobiki High and today is my first day." He said, causing Shinobu to gasp.
"No kidding! Hey, I actually go to Tomobiki High! Would you like me to show you the way?" She asked. Lum glared at the girl but Ranma smiled.
"Actually, that'd be great. Thanks."
And with that, the three teens were walking side by side towards their shared school. Lum wouldn't let go of Ranma's arm causing Shinobu to sigh. Why did the good ones all have to be taken? Oh well.
"SHIOBU!" Came a cry from behind the three teens. They turned around and saw the same brown-haired boy charging at them. Shinobu sighed.
"Oh boy. Here we go again." Shinobu said as the boy came right for her and for Lum. Shinobu sighed and prepared to punch the boy.
"Hey! Wait! I just want to ask you and the green haired lady out on a..." The poor boy never got a chance to finish cause Ranma's fist nailed him in the temple and sent him back into unconsciousness.
"Lights out, idiot." He said as the boy fell.
"Boy, that guy doesn't know when to quit does he?" Lum asked. Shinobu shook her head.
"Sadly, no. That may have been what kept me going back to Ataru for so long."
"Ataru?" Ranma asked.
"Oh yeah! I never told you his name. His name is Ataru Moroboshi, and he's regarded as the scourge of Tomobiki." Shinobu said, making Ranma and Lum arch their eyebrows at the nickname.
"Why is he called the scourge of Tomobiki?" Lum asked. Shinobu sighed and kicked Ataru when he tried to get back up.
"Because he's a stupid jackass pervert who keeps hitting on every pretty girl he sees. Even if he's DATING SOMEONE AT THE TIME!" She screamed and kept stomping on the downed boy. Ranma nad Lum almost felt sorry for the poor guy.
"Shinobu-chan. Please, let's talk about...*STOMP*" Shinobu never let Ataru finish as she stomped and kicked the perverted boy right into a light post.
"Jeez. He's harder to get rid of than a rash." Ranma said as he and the two girls got back on their way to the high school. Apon arrival, Ranma turned to his alien tag along.
"Lum, why don't you head home?" He said. Lum pouted at that.
"AW! But why?" She asked. Ranma sighed.
"Because you don't go to school here, and I'd kind of like to make a good first impression and NOT cause trouble for once." Was all he said. Lum pouted again but relented.
"Ok. But kiss me goodbye first." She said as she puckered up her lips. Ranma blushed. Should he? But before he could, the bell rang.
'Saved by the bell!' He thought.
"Uh, sorry Lum, gonna be late! Gotta go! BYE!" He said as he charged into the school.
"DARLING!" Lum shouted after him to no avail. She huffed and turned to Shinobu.
"Hey, Shinobu, that is your name right?" The girl nodded. "Could you do me a favor and look after my Darling for me? I don't want any girls in this school thinking that they can try and steal him from me while I'm not around." Shinobu smiled and nodded.
"Sure, I guess. But, don't you have any faith in your boyfriend? He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who'd cheat on you." She said. Lum fidgeted and blushed.
"Yeah, but...I guess I'm just nervous. I mean, I've had a lover before but, he was a jerk and a creep. But Darling...he just..." Her blush grew bigger until her blue tinted green hair started to gain a red tint of it's own. Until she felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist. Except it WASN'T her darling's arms.
"Ah! What's so great about that guy anyway! I'd never leave a girl like you alone hot stuff!" Ataru said as he tried to snuggle the alien girl. Lum growled and let loose a huge blast of electricity form her body and watched with satisfaction as the man who grabbed her spasmed from the pain.
"BACK OFF ASSHOLE! No one's allowed to do that except MY DARLING! GOT THAT!?" She screamed as she zapped Ataru even more until she was satisfied.
"Phew! Well, I'm off to look around town. Byeeee!" She said as she flew off. Shinobu looked from Lum back to Ataru and to Lum's retreating form again and sighed.
"Heaven help that Kung Fu guy if he EVER cheats on that girl." She said as she walked over Ataru's twitching body and into the school before she was late.
To say that Ranma was bored out of his mind was an understatement. School was so boring no matter where you went. He couldn't believe he was thinking this, but he actually missed Kuno a little bit. At least his challenges, while annoying, kept him entertained. He was surprised however when he saw the charred up form of Ataru Moroboshi stumble into the classroom he was assigned to.
'Huh? Small world.' He thought.
At lunch time, Ranma pulled out the bento his mom made for him and his mouth watered at the sight! The food looked and smelled better than anything he had had for lunch during the past two weeks at Furikan. And best of all, no pop to try and steal it from him! He was about to dig in when he saw a note in the lid of the bento. He opened it up and was surprised to see what it said.
Ranma dear, I know thanks to your father you have some issues with expressing how you feel, but do remember to keep your promise to Lum. It's not good to string a girl along, and it's not very manly to break your promise to your girlfriend.

Ranma sighed, he had forgotten about that. It wasn't like he didn't like Lum. He did. But, did he like her enough to call her his girlfriend? And did he really call her 'His Lum' during the fight with Ryoga? As these thoughts were going through his head, a shadow loomed over him and his lunch. He looked up and saw Ataru glaring at him.
"Yo." Ranma said as he plopped some food into his mouth.
"Cut the crap China boy!" Ataru screamed in rage. "What's the idea of stealing another man's girl when you've already got a smoking hot babe of your own, huh!?"
Ranma took a breath to calm himself. He HAD to go and open his big, fat, hypothetical mouth, didn't he.
"Look dude, I didn't steal your girl. You kept hitting on other girls right in front of her like an idiot and she finally got sick and tired of your BS." Ranma said as he plopped some food into his mouth.
"BULL SHIT!" Ataru said as he bashed his fist on to Ranma's desk. "Look, I don't want you butting in on my romancing..."
Ranma just tuned out the rest of Ataru's ramblings as he kept eating. He had other things to worry about other than this stupid perverted idiot. He did promise to call Lum his girl from the top of a building. But...
"HEY! Are you listening to me!? GOD DAMN IT!" Ataru shouted at Ranma. Ranma came out of his musings and looked at the brown-haired bonehead in front of him. He frowned, this guy was going to be just as much of a pain as Kuno evidentially. He sighed.
"Look, Ataru was it? You had problems LONG before I showed up from what I heard. Plus you tried to hit on MY girlfriend." Ranma said to him before he stopped. Did he just call Lum his girlfriend?
"Whoa man, you tried hitting on another guys girl? That's low dude, even for you." Said one of the other boys in class. Shinobu, who was also in their class, got up and marched over to Ataru.
"Look Ataru, we were having problems long before I met Ranma. Just accept that we're broken up and get over it already!" She said. Ataru looked heart broken, if he had one.
"But...Shinobu-chan..." He tried to say, only for the maroon-haired girl huffed and marched back to her seat. Ataru grew mad and glared back at Ranma.
"Why you!" He said, only to get a fist to the face curtesy of Ranma. As Ataru fell to the ground, Ranma went back to eating as he thought about Lum. Did he really consider her his girlfriend?
'Well, to be fair...she has done more for me in the short amount of time she's known me than Akane or the other Tendos ever did. Maybe...'
Then he looked back over to Ataru, who was hitting on any other girl he could since Shinobu shot him down. He the thought of someone like Ataru hitting on Lum started to make him angry. That settled it, if just thinking about something like that made him mad...then he NEEDED to tell Lum how he felt. And besides, having a cute alien like Lum as a girlfriend was a lot better than being stuck with someone like Akane for a fiancée.
As for Lum, she was flying through town, looking at all the shops in town. Looking through the windows, she couldn't help imagine herself in some of the outfits she saw, wondering which one Ranma would like on her best.
As she kept flying around, getting strange looks from everyone she passed by, she didn't notice two figures roaming behind her. As she flew towards a food stand, the two figures in question jumped out and tried to attack her. She noticed two shadows covering her and lashed out with a lightning blast. When the blast ended, she looked down and noticed that the two people were none other than Genma and Soun.
"What are you two doing here?" She asked. The two martial arts masters flipped back to their feet.
"See here you invader from another planet! We're here to fix the problem that you started!" Soun shouted. Lum just glared at the two of them.
"What problem? We settled the whole invading the Earth thing after Darling beat me, remember?" She retorted. Genma stomped his foot in annoyance.
"We're talking about the problem you caused by feeling my son and wife's heads with all that nonsense about my son proposing to you!" He said. Lum was starting to get angry.
"HE DID PROPSE TO ME! You're just mad that mother-in-law likes me more than that black widow you tried to force Darling to marry!" She cried, electricity arcing off her body.
"Oh really?" Genma said, an evil smile forming on his face. "Well then, tell me this E.T., has he ever called you his fiancée, or at least his girlfriend?"
Lum started to faulter. Seeing Lum start to lose her spark for fighting, Soun decided to jump in.
"That's right! If Ranma was really interested he would have said something about liking you that way. So, has he?" Soun asked. Lum looked down. Every time she tried to get Ranma to keep his promise about calling her his girl, he found some way out of the conversation. And lately, every time they kissed, she was the one to start it. He hadn't kissed her since that one time when he and his mother finally met.
"Well...he..." She tried to say, only for her words to get caught in her throat and tears forming in her eyes. The two masters of the anything goes started to grin, they could tell the young girl was about to break.
"Let's face it," Genma started to say. "You're no good for the boy. He deserves to be with a fellow martial artist that can keep up with him. And besides, if he hasn't said anything about claiming you as his girl by now, then he probably doesn't have any intentions too."
"S...shut up..." Lum tried to say through her tears. "He...Darling he..."
"Just face the facts Lum." Soun butted in. "Ranma may have no interest whatsoever. He and my girl Akane were practically made for each other, all you're doing is getting in their way. Sure, they hit a snag, but once they calm down..."
"SHUT UP!" Lum shouted as she fired off a huge bolt of lightning at the two. As she fried them, the crying alien girl flew off. She didn't know where she was going, but she just wanted to get away. As for Soun and Genma, they laid on the ground, smoking and in pain.
"Do you think we went a little too far, Saotome?" Soun asked his friend. Genma coughed.
"Ranma will thank us for it later Tendo. Just remember, it's for the good of the schools."
Meanwhile, Ranma was just leaving the school, although it freaked everyone out when he jumped out of the window. Ranma just kept forgetting that some people weren't used to seeing someone doing crazy stuff like he could do. Oh well, he had other things to worry about. First, find Lum and finish his promise to her.
But as he walked towards his new home, he felt two familiar ki signatures behind him. He turned and lashed out with a spinning hook kick that forced Soun and Genma back. He growled at the two of them.
"What the heck!? What are you two idiots doing here!?" Ranma asked. Genma and Soun didn't relax their stances, knowing full well that if they did, Ranma would not hesitate to take advantage and attack them.
"Listen son," Genma said. "We're not here to start a fight. We only came to help you get your head back on straight."
"My head?" Ranma asked. "The only ones around here that don't have their heads on straight are you two dumb clucks."
"Ranma! Listen to reason!" Soun started pleading. "We're only here to show you that what happened the other day with Akane was a slight over reaction on her part."
"OVER REACTION!? She tried to have me kill myself! How can you two bozos still want me to marry that psycho!? I'm starting to wonder if you two have some kind of brain defect." Ranma retorted as he started walking away, but kept his guard up.
"Adios pop." He said with a wave.
"Ranma! Listen to us!" Soun tried to say only for Ranma to wave him off.
"Forget it Tendo-san. Besides, mom already said she doesn't want me marrying that bloodthirsty daughter of yours because she likes Lum better. And to be fair so do I." Ranma said.
"But that's the thing son, that alien woman isn't going to be a problem anymore." Soun said with a smile. Ranma froze in his tracks. He slowly turned his head, a glint of anger in his eye.
"What?" He asked, his voice low.
"You see boy, we told that girl that she would be all wrong for you. And let's face it, when you said what you said that caused this misunderstanding after that game of tag, you really didn't mean it and that you really didn't like her that way."
"YOU DID WHAT!?" Ranma shouted.
"Look son..." Genma and Soun never got to plead their case because Ranma dashed over to them and punched them into unconsciousness.
"You crap faced bastards!" Ranma said as he dashed off into town, shouting out Lums name. Unknown to him, Ataru was listening from behind a light post. He snickered as if he were Di Lung.
"Oh! So Lum's probably somewhere broken hearted and waiting for someone to make her forget about Ranma, eh!?"
Ranma ran throughout the town, screaming out Lum's name. His heart panicked, where was she?
'Damn those two old bastards! How DARE they say that stuff to Lum! If I ever see them again and I'll send them straight to HELL!'
As he ran, he tripped over to something and fell to the ground. Ranma got up, growling and turned to see what he tripped on and saw a very small old man wearing the garb of a priest. Ranma was about to yell at the guy but upon seeing that he was a priest, decided to apologize.
"Sorry sir. I wasn't watching where I was going." He said. As the priest turned to look at the young boy who ran over him, he took a closer look at the boy.
"Ah," The small priest said. "I sense a very strange aura about you, boy. An aura of pure chaos! You seem to be a magnet for trouble, and I can tell that you seem to be in some trouble right now."
Ranma blinked, he couldn't tell if this guy was either really good at his job or if he was just really lucky at guessing. He sighed.
"Well, you could say that. I just found out that my stupid old man and his friend said some things to a certain girl I like and I think they really hurt her feelings." Ranma said. The priest stroked his chin then snapped his fingers.
"OH! Now I remember! You're the boy from the news a while back. The one who played that game of tag with that alien girl!" The priest said. Ranma sighed.
"Yep, that's me."
"Well, I think I might be able to help you boy. I just so happened to see that alien girl of yours flying overhead a little while ago. She seemed awfully upset." The priest said, causing Ranma to get really worried.
"Please, tell me which way she went! I need to talk to her." Ranma pleaded.
"I saw her heading for Tokyo Tower. You better hurry if you want to catch her." He said, pointing in the direction he saw Lum fly off in. Ranma grabbed the old man's hand and shook it.
"Thanks old man." He said as he took off at breakneck speed.
"You're welcome! And the name's Cherry!" The priest, now known as Cherry called after the young martial artist. He sighed.
"I hope he makes up with his girlfriend."
As for Lum, she was sitting on top of the tower, looking over the city of Tokyo. She was trying not to let what Genma and Soun tell her get her down, but in truth, she was beginning to wonder. Did Ranma really have any feelings for her at all? Sure, his mother preferred her over that girl Akane, but...did Ranma?
She sniffled, tears continuing to fall down her face. She wanted to believe, but Ranma had yet to do anything to prove that he cared. He still hadn't done what he said he would if she cured him, but...
"Well, hello there, hot stuff." Came a voice from behind her. Lum gasped and spun around to see who it was and was shocked, and saddened to see that it was the brown-haired boy, Ataru, from this morning.
"Oh. Hello." She said, wiping tears away from her eyes. Ataru cleared his throat and tried to put on his best smooth and suave Cassanova act.
"Lum, I heard about what happened. I'm so sorry. That Ranma guy doesn't deserve a girl like you." He said, trying to wrap an arm around Lum. She shirked away, not wanting to let this guy touch her.
"Were you spying on me!?" She said. Ataru kept his cool. Time to make that pigtailed boy look bad.
"No, I heard Ranma saying something about going back to some guy named Tendo's place." And to the sneak's satisfaction, his words had the desired effect. Lum looked even more heartbroken than she did a minute ago.
"WHAT!? After what that Akane girl tried to have done to him!?" Lum said, letting her tears fall as Ataru gave her a hug, smirking as he did so.
"How...How could he?" She said, not noticing that someone was climbing his way up the tower and saw the two.
"Listen, Lum, foget that cheating bastard. Let me be your Darling and I promise I'll treat you better than that chump." Ataru said, his pervy smile showing through.
Lum was not sure what to do. She thought she had found someone better than her ex, Rei, but now here she was, hearing that Ranma may not see her as the best option? She wasn't sure what to do. Sure Shinobu said that Ataru was a bit of a flirting perv, but...
"HEY! GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY LUM YOU LYING BASTARD!" Came a voice from behind them. Both teens turned and where shocked to see a VERY pissed off Ranma glaring right at Ataru.
"RANMA!?"
"DARLING!?" They both said as Ranma dashed over to them and punched Ataru right in the nose before throwing him over to the other side of the landing.
"LUM! Don't listen to anything that jerk or my stupid pop says! They're all liars that'd say anything just to get their way." Ranma said to Lum as he held her by the shoulders.
Lum was shocked. Ranma had come up here and called her his Lum, and this time she heard him say it. Just like he said he would. But she huffed and turned her head to the side.
"How do I know you're not lying. I mean, after all, wouldn't you prefer some girl who..."
"Lum!" Ranma cut her off and looked her in the eyes.
"Look, I'll admit, I haven't exactly been a great boyfriend or whatever, but listen. I like you. A lot. I'm not exactly ready to say that I love you or want to marry you or anything, but..."
"RANMA!" Came the voices of Genma and Soun. Ranma closed his eyes and ground his teeth.
'Why now?' He thought.
"BOY! Stop messing around with that alien and start thinking with your head! Akane's the only girl you need to marry!" Came the voice of Genma as he climbed on top of the landing.
"And if you're sure you don't want Akane, I'm sure that one of my other daughters wouldn't mind marrying you." Soun said as he too climbed up. Ranma growled at the two thick headed idiots. He REALLY didn't have time for this crap.
"Look, I've got something I want to tell you but it'll have to wait until I take care of these two." He said as he gave Lum a quick kiss and rushed over to deal with the two biggest pains in his neck.
Lum was shocked, Ranma kissed her! First he climbs all the way up this tower to find her, calls her his Lum before punching Ataru's lights out, and then he kisses her before dealing with his stupid dad and his friend and telling her he had something to say? She was blushing so much that her iridescent hair started to turn a few shades of red to match her blush.
Ataru was pissed! He had her! He had that hottie Lum in the palm of his hand and Ranma just HAD to show up and punch him after he told Lum that he went away to that Tendo guy's place. He really didn't know what the deal was, but he was sick and tired of that pigtailed boy getting in the way of him picking up CHICKS! He shook his head and looked over to see Ranma fighting against the two old dudes from earlier.
He grinned. He could try to get back to Lum while Ranma had his hands full.
"So baby, like I was saying..."
"Back off PERV!" Lum said as she zapped Ataru. "You lied to me! And I don't like being lied to!" She said as she cranked up the volume of her electric shock.
Meanwhile, Ranma was having a harder time with the two fathers than he thought he would. He knew he could handle his dad and Soun Tendo seemed to be very rusty in combat, but one of the biggest weaknesses of the Saotome Anything Goes is that it was more focused on one-on-one combat and was lacking in crowd control.
Ranma lashed out with a snap kick to Genma's chest and switched to a side kick to keep Soun at bay. But as he side kicked Soun, Genma tackled Ranma at the legs. As Ranma fell to the ground he did a double palm strike to the sides of his father's head and twisted it so that he could get the fat oaf off of him before he managed to get his grip on Ranma.
As Ranma got Genma off of him and flipped to his feet, Soun nailed the young man with a spinning heel kick to the head. Ranma reeled from the kick and was forced onto the defensive as Genma and Soun double teamed him again.
"Sheesh! Can't you two take a dang hint!?" Ranma said as he managed to counter one of Genma's punches and threw him into Soun. Seeing a chance, Ranma ran at the two and did a jumping side kick that knocked them to the rail.
"Why you no good little brat! Is this the thanks I get for all I've done for you?" Genma said as he peeled himself off of Soun. Soun was in pain, not just from having his fat friend crash into him but also from having his back smashed into the rail.
"Teff, yeah right. All the lies, the abuse, the times you made me drag you away from crap you got us into, the cat pit when I was six, the boulders strapped to my back when I was five. Yeah pop, you've done SSSOOOOO much for me." Ranma said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Besides, mom already said that she didn't want me to have anything to do with that stupid marriage pledge of yours. And after Akane tried to have me killed, I think I'll stick to NOT marrying some blood thirsty psycho."
"Son, look, I'll admit Akane may not be the best choice, but if you give Nabiki a chance I'm sure..." Soun tried to say, only for Ranma to cut him off.
"Oh BROTHER! How desperate are you guys!?" Ranma said. Only to be blindsided by Genma.
"Look son..." Genma tried to say, only for Ranma to strike with an elbow to the gut followed by a hammer fist to the crotch and an armbar throw that sent Genma away. Ranma turned and saw Soun coming at him and did a back kick.
Soun saw the kick coming and parried it as he tried to go for a palm strike to Ranma's face. Ranma ducked under the strike and did one-two uppercut combo and would have landed another blow had it not been for Genma grabbing him in a full Nelson from behind.
"HEY!" Ranma cried out as Soun recovered and helped Genma to hold Ranma down.
"DARLING!" Lum cried out. She had just been putting Ataru in his place by putting him in a wrestling hold and zapping him good, but then she saw the two fathers gang up on her darling.
"Hold on! I'll help!" She said as she started to fly over to help her beloved.
"Hold it!" Genma said. "If you zap us, you zap Ranma too!"
Lum panicked. They had her, there had to be a way to help Ranma, but how? Seeing that the alien was out of commission, Soun was about to try and talk some sense into Ranma, only to feel the boy's knee smack him in the groin and then his foot kick him in the thigh.
"Screw your crazy ideas!" Ranma said as he jumped up and did a double kick that sent Soun flying. Ranma then smashed his head into Genma's nose and went for the fat man's leg. He pulled and took Genma down and twisted the man's leg.
"Sheesh, I hate you." Ranma said as Soun jumped at him with a flying kick of his own. Ranma saw him coming and dive rolled out of the way. Ranma then went after Soun and hit him with a jump spinning back kick at Soun.
"Yike!" Soun said as he dodged the kick, only for Genma to get up and get hit with Ranma's kick.
"OOPH!" He said as he doubled over...and got shocked by Lum.
"Oops." She said.
"Hey, that's not fair!" Soun said. Ranma grinned as he ran at the long-haired old man did a spinning heel kick that nailed him in the head.
"Too bad! Anything Goes is the name of the game. Remember?" Ranma said as both old men fell to the ground. Genma growled, he was not going to lose. And neither was Ataru.
"Hey!" Lum screamed as Ataru wrapped his arms around the alien girl, keeping her from helping Ranma further.
"Alright! Go ahead and get him!" He screamed.
"I knew you were a creep but come on man!" Ranma said, only to gulp as Genma and Soun charged after him.
Ranma jumped over the two, but Genma jumped after him and engaged him in a midair melee. Ranma blocked Genma's punch and lashed out with a few punches and kicks of his own. But he was so busy dealing with his father that he didn't see Soun jump up and grab him from behind.
"Darling! Get off you CREEP!" Lum screamed at Ataru as she tried to fry him as he death gripped her. She needed to help her darling, but the lying perv just wouldn't let go.
As for Ranma, he double kicked Genma away and did his best to struggle free of Soun's grip. But as they hit the ground, Soun used what he knew of Judo to put Ranma in a submission pin.
"Ranma! Be reasonable!" Soun said.
"Go to Hell!" He said as he grabbed Soun's flesh and pinched and pulled hard to cause the older man to lose his grip on Ranma. Ranma then kicked Soun off only for Genma to try and grab him in Soun's place.
"Ranma! Just give up already! That alien is no good for you!" Genma said as he and Soun struggled with Ranma.
"Heck no! I'd rather be dead than marry anyone you creeps try to set me up with!"
"BOY stop being unreasonable! Give me ONE good reason why you won't marry any of my girls!" Soun said as Ranma managed to kick Genma and struck at Soun's neck.
"Because I LIKE LUM! SHE'S! MY! GIRLFRIEND!" Ranma screamed so loud that everyone down below could actually hear him. And Lum, she went limp.
'He...he said it. He actually said it.' She thought to herself as a big smile broke out on her face.
"He kept his promise." She said.
"Oh, who cares!?" Ataru said. "So he said he called you his girlfriend. He still isn't going to marry you."
"WHAT WAS THAT!?" Lum screamed as she let lose the biggest electric shock she had at her disposal. Poor Ataru tried to hold her back, but even he couldn't handle the amount of voltage that the alien girl was dishing out now.
"I don't care if you think she's your girlfriend! You're marrying one of Tendo's daughters even if I have to break every bone in your body and drag you to a priest!" Genma said, causing Ranma to boil with rage.
"Oh yeah, pop!?" He said as he did a jump flip-split kick that nailed both old men in the chin, knocking them backwards.
Genma and Soun reeled back from the attack and just before they could snap back to their senses, Genma felt himself being thrown over the ledge by Ranma. He screamed as he fell and Soun began to panic.
"Saotome!" He cried out. He paled as Ranma turned to face him with a look of anger on his face.
"N-Now son. Let's not do anything rash." Soun said as he tried to back away. Ranma walked up to him and barred his teeth.
"Don't. Ever. Call me son." He said as he threw Soun over the rails. Ranma and Lum looked over the rails and saw Soun and Genma holding on for their lives, just like Ranma knew they would.
"HELP!" Genma shouted.
"RANMA! PLEASE!" Soun shouted. Ranma put a hand on his chin.
"Hmmm. Lum, do you think we should help them out?" He asked his green haired friend.
"Hmmmm...Eh, they got up here on their own they can get down on their own." She said. No sooner had she said this, Ataru jumped up from behind them and tried to strike Ranma with a steel pipe.
"Got cha ya bastard! The hot chick is mine!" He said, only for Ranma to pull Lum down and duck under Ataru's wild swipe as he collided with both Soun and Genma as they tried to jump back up to attack Ranma and Lum. The three knit wits fell to the ground, out like lights. Ranma and Lum looked at the three goofs who had caused them so much trouble in one day and laughed out loud.
"You know, in a funny way, these three remind me of an old comedy trio from America. The Three Stooges! Ha ha ha ha ha!" Ranma said as he and Lum laughed at the three buffoons. As they calmed down, Ranma and Lum looked at each other and blushed.
"Um, Lum...about what I said earlier..." He started to say, but Lum cut him off.
"Darling." She said, hearts in her eyes as she blushed as red as Ranma's shirt. "You called me your girlfriend."
And with that she hugged Ranma close, kissed him and started flying over the city. Ranma lost himself in the kiss, but came back to reality when he noticed just how high up they were!
"LUM! Don't let me go!" He said as he clung to his alien girlfriend. Lum hugged him back.
"I'll never let you go Darling."
"Good! Cause I don't think I can survive a fall from this high UP!"
About an hour later, Genma, Soun and Ataru were marching back to their respective homes, fuming at being beaten so utterly. Genma growled. First that alien girl wants Ranma for a boyfriend, then Nodoka shows up and dissolves the pact between him and the Tendos, And NOW Ranma goes and does a stupid love confession on top of Tokyo Tower while knocking him and Soun around.
"Oh! That boy will pay for this! Mark my words!" He grumbled.
"Saotome, let's just forget about it and go home." Soun said in defeat. Ataru was maddest of them all. First he lost Shinobu and now that Ranma guy stole the sexy alien hottie from him.
"Ranma Saotome! You just made an enemy for life!" He proclaimed to the sky.
Meanwhile, back at the Tendo dojo, Akane was struggling to get her pet pig, P-chan, to take a bath with her. It was almost like the little pig would rather die than get wet.
"Come on P-chan. There's nothing to be scared of. It's just a little hot water." She said in a soothing voice. But P-chan was struggling harder and harder the closer they got to the tub. Akane just couldn't understand it. Why was this pig so scared of getting in the bath with her?
"Ok. You win P-chan." She said, giving the pig a little slack. P-chan breathed a sigh of relief...until Akane took advantage of the pigs relaxing and dashed to the tub and hopped in.
"See P-chan. There's nothing to be scared..." Akane never got the chance to finish because at that moment, Ryoga Hibiki jumped out of the water instead of her cute pet pig.
Akane looked slack jawed at the naked...boy...in...her...tube. Ryoga looked towards the girl he had secretly fallen for and paled. This was not good. He gulped.
"Um...Akane...I can explain!" He tried to say as he got up only to remember that he was naked and sunk back in.
Akane just kept staring with a blank look on her face. Until the implications of what she had just seen started to sink in. The little pig she had been taking care of, her pet P-chan...was a human BOY! She started to go red with rage as her hatred of men was renewed with a fiery passion of HATE! Ryoga gulped.
"YOU PERVERT!" She screamed as she began to give Ryoga the beatings that in another reality were usually saved for Ranma.
"I! HATE! MMMMEEEEEEENNNNNNNNN!" She screamed as she thrashed Ryoga savagely, causing a chase around the house to ensue. As Genma and Soun slowly hobbled back to the door to the Tendo house, they were mowed down by a naked boy screaming for his life and a towel wrapped Akane chasing after him, screaming bloody murder as she tried to actually commit it.
"RANMA! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!"
