Over a week has passed since the brawl in Magix, as Timmy ,Riven and Austin were standing out in the hallway each carrying two water-filled buckets.
"Seriously, I don't understand why ballroom dancing is a requirement for school, I doubt the Grey Owl had to do this." Riven groaned.
Timmy adds "I know and Miss Guin is a drill sergeant when it comes teaching it."
Austin chuckles "True, I'm surprised she didn't kick us out when you nearly crushed her toes Timmy."
The other two boys started laughing too until they realized this was the first time they had a casual conversation in days.
"Honestly Riven can you tell us what that whole thing in Magix was about." Austin asked.
Riven sighed "I'm not entirely sure what happened, after that race on The Day of The Rose I just felt angry for no reason. Like one minute I'm fine and the next I'm pissed."
Timmy asked "Maybe it's a concussion? You did take a nasty hit during the race."
Austin adds "Don't forget getting decked by that Minotaur."
Riven says "I've been to the clinic for both of those and got cleared."
Austin says "Well whatever it is, you can count on us man."
Timmy nodded his head "Yeah even if you're dating a witch you're still a member of Team SABER."
Riven smirked "Thanks, that actually means alot."
"So youre a fan of the Grey Owl?" Austin asked.
"Yeah I've been reading about his adventures for years, who doesn't want to be like him." Riven responds.
"Wait but he looks about our age, how could he be around for so long." Timmy asked.
Riven answered "Thats the second one who works under the orginal's sidekick, Red Falco."
It was then Miss Guin walked into the hallway. She was a tall woman with black hair tied into a bun and wore an off-the-shoulder black dress with white buttons and white stripes located down the front and at the rim of the spiked skirt, which includes magenta lining, along with steel tipped ballet shoes.
She states "I assume with all this talking you gentlemen have learned your lesson."
The three boys nods and say in unison "Yes Ma'am we will take your class more seriously."
Miss Guin says "Good, Prince Sky and Brandon discussed about tutoring you three. So try to take to make the most of their generosity."
The boys shook their heads as Miss Guin dismissed them from their punishment and walked off.
As Timmy placed the buckets back on the ground , he says "That's was definitely a workout."
Riven and Austin did the same as the former says "True but now we gotta learn for Brandon and Sky."
It was then the two Erakylon boys walked up to them as Brandon says "It's an important elective, besides as heroes we need some sort of ballroom etiquette."
Sky states "That's why we're thinking about inviting the girls over later for some practice lessons."
This got the three boys nervous as Riven says "I don't think we need to trouble them, I'm sure we can learn without them."
Timmy agreed "Yeah, we just didn't take things seriously. So let's not make the call."
Brandon argued "Come on guys these girls can really help. Stella went through this type of training and Musa is from the realm of Music and."
"Damn it I forgot I have a thing at Gloomy Wood. So today isn't the best time." Austin mentioned out of the blue.
Riven chuckles as he nudges Austin in the ribs "Let me guess , going flower picking with Flora."
"N..no, I'm meeting up with an old friend."Austin answered as he held onto Riven's elbow.
Brandon asked in a somewhat annoyed tone "Can't you reschedule, this is apart of our grade."
Austin shook his head "I'm sorry but I've rescheduled this a few times already, so my hands are tied." The Beast Tamer checked the time"I'll see you guys later." He said as he walked off.
Sky nods his head "Ok, guess it will just be the four of us."
Riven groaned as he rubbed the back of his neck "I doubt they'd want to see me after what happened."
Timmy shook his head "Plus I'm not entirely sure Tecna would like me after I stomp on all of her toes."
Brandon sighed "I guess we can reschedule for another day then."
About an hour later in Gloomy Wood Forest, Austin was fishing at a pond with Knut the Ogre.
"Wait ,so you're the ogre that Stella and the guys fought when they met Bloom?" Austin chuckles as he was using the Varia-Rod's nunchuck mode as a fishing pole.
Knut explains "I was ordered to by my mistresses. You know I'd be out of Cloud Tower without them."
"Can't you just serve another witch, Jackie did enroll this year." Austin states.
"I know but I don't want to cause trouble for her, I doubt the Trix would like a freshman stealing their ogre." Knut said as he started reeling in a fish.
Austin sighed as he asked "So when do you think they'll try to steal Stella's ring next?"
Knut answered"They gave up on the ring, I heard they found a lead on the Dragon's Flame."
Austin scoffed "Yeah right, it was lost after the destruction of Domnio." His eyes shifted towards the ogre "or maybe you think I have an idea where it is?"
Knut frantically shook his head "That's not it, besides I doubt even you would know what happened to it."
The beast tamer patted Knut on the back as he let out a hearty chuckle "Relax old chum, I know you wouldn't do that. All I'm saying is whatever lead they have is probably a wild goose chase."
Just as Knut pulled a Catfish from the water, he sighed "I hope so, with a power like that I don't even think Griffin could stop them."
Austin felt he caught something on the Varia Rod and reeled the weapon back only to be surprised that he caught an old boot.
The beast tamer quickly threw it back into the water and asked "Wanna spilt your catfish?"
"Weren't you the one who made the rule that you can only eat what you can catch." Knut states.
Austin pouted as he tried grabbing at the fish"That rule was made because of Helia, so share thy bounty."
Knut lazily held Austin away with two fingers "Did you honestly expect to beat an Ogre in a contest of strength."
"No, but I can beat you in a battle of wits." Austin smirked as he used the Varia-Rod to snatch the catfish away from the ogre.
The Beast tamer ran off with the ogre following his heel. "And I'm certain you can't beat me in a foot race either , old chum." Austin snarked.
Knut grabbed a nearby boulder and flung it at Austin, but the beast tamer dodge the projectile by jumping on a tree.He began climbing up towards a steady branch as he saw Knut seemingly walk off.
"Come on, I didn't think you'd give up that easily?"Austin asked.
To his surprise Knut turned around to charge at the tree, knocking it towards the ground with a single tackle. Austin leaped off the branch and lost his balance attempting to land on the ground. He looked to see Knut standing over him.
"If used correctly, my strength can beat your smarts." Knut chuckled.
As Austin handed the fish back over , he states . "I know you're both watching, so you can come out
Reluctantly Riven and Timmy popped up from a bush with the latter asked "How did you spot us?"
"He's a beast tamer, tracking and evasions are his bread and butter. Though why are you hanging out with this ogre." Riven scoffs.
Austin explains "Knut's an old buddy of mines, me and Helia meet him while exploring these woods."
Surprised Riven says "Saladin's grandkid, didn't think you two knew each other, let alone were friends."
"Yeah we sorta of balance each other out, in fact if it wasn't for my injury, the four of us would've been a squad." Austin smirked.
"So instead of dealing with Sky and Brandon, I would've been with a guy that cares more about painting than combat. Can we get him back?" Riven asked.
Austin shrugged his shoulders "Doubt it, he barely picked up his phone since enrolling at the art school. So let's work with what we got."
"Even if Riven and Brandon are constantly at each other's throats." Timmy asked.
Austin says "I mean this will all blow over at some point, right Riv?"
Riven took a second to respond "I mean I'll try but I doubt Brandon will let me off easy."
"True but know that you have us to back you up bud." Austin gave a reassuring smile as he stole the catfish back from Knut and started running.
As Timmy and Riven watched the cat and mouse game between Austin and the ogre, the latter smirked while thinking"Still can't believe that ogre gave us trouble."
