[Recap Music: Hidden Skill TP: Hyrule Warriors]
After an Arduous Battle, Mabel and her friend slew The Komodo-Saur, saving their town from its wrath. But the beast was only ever intended to be a distraction. The Army of Monsters had taken The Mystery Shack. Worse, after the dust had settled, Stan Pines, Ford Pines, and Dipper Pines were nowhere to be found. Mabel, Soos, Wendy, and Grenda searched the Town for them but to no avail. Although the battle had been lost, Mabel was seen as an importance to the coming war. Mabel didn't believe herself capable of such a feat, but she was determined to try and find her family.
Weeks passed, until one day Mabel and her friends were given a message from a Gnome requesting support with a resistance of soldiers holding out against monsters in Gnome Forest. The leader of this resistance was supposedly a 12-year-old child. Mabel dared to hope this unknown kid was her brother. With the main entrance to the Forest closed off, Mabel and her friends had to take the long way through the Lava Caverns, a path with its own dangers.
Mabel plopped her face on her bed exhausted.
Two weeks had passed since the Invasion of Gravity Falls. The townspeople had wasted no effort in rebuilding as best they could.
As for the Mystery Shack gang, they spend the time searching for Dipper, Stan, and Ford.
They would walk around the forest, ask around the town if anybody had seen them, and even comb the shack again, but nothing.
Normally they would have simply consulted the Journals for more places but Ford had taken them with him. ALL THREE OF THEM at that.
She tried contacting Dipper with their walkie-talkies but there was still nothing.
She had the whole Shack to herself and even though she had Sprye and Waddles (She was lucky the monsters didn't kill or kidnap him. Grenda was to thank for that), she couldn't feel any more lonely. Even Soos, Wendy, and Grenda spending a few night with her only helped a little.
Every day she hoped that Dipper or her Grunkles would return when she woke up or would be there waiting at the shack after she was done searching with the others, but her luck turned out flat every day.
At this point, she was starting to lose hope.
Sprye floated out from her Shooting Star sweater and looked at her human friend.
"All good?" she asked.
Mabel shook her head. "No. Sorry."
Sprye fluttered closer to Mabel. "Look, I get that you're worried about your brother and your Great Uncles. But it's been two Weeks. By now, we'll have to face the fact that they might be-"
"DON'T!" Mabel snapped her head at Sprye in uncharacteristic anger. "Don't say it. Please."
"I wasn't going to say dead." Sprye replied. "I was going to say captured."
"Oh." Mabel replied. "Well, that's just as bad. But I guess that's to be expected. If they did kill Grunkle Stan I would have found his bloody body around the shack. Same with Dipper and Grunkle Ford. We searched the entire forest for them and I'm sure I would have found theirs too."
"Exactly." Sprye nodded. "So don't give up. I'm sure once we track down the baddies' base, we'll get your family back."
But still, what would those monsters want with them?" she asked.
"Well, you did mention you had a dream about a destiny that involved them." Spryte offered. "Maybe the witch knew about it too and she captured them so whatever destiny that occurs won't come to pass."
"Maybe." Mabel sighed. "But do you think she killed them there?"
Mabel's face fell again. "I wish that's not the case. But..."
"I don't think we can rule anything out right now." Sprye nodded. "But still, don't give up hope."
Mabel nodded as she got up. "Maybe some Mabel-Juice will help get my mind off all this."
"What's Mabel Juice?" Sprye asked.
At this, the last of Mabel's grim demeanor faded. "Oh, it's a very delicious drink I made! It's all these different fruit juices mixed together with plastic dinosaurs and food coloring."
"Sounds tasty." Sprye commented as they walked out of her room and down to the kitchen.
As they passed the front door they heard a knock.
Mabel opened it to see a small gnome with a gray shaggy beard.
Her eyes widened as she tried to hide her slight disgust.
"Oh, hey! Uhhh..." She tried to remember the Gnome's name. "It's you, uhhh."
"Shmebulock!" The Gnome groaned.
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
"Shmebulock" the gnome replied.
"Oh that's right," Sprye floated out. "He's one of those few gnomes who can only speak his name. Sorry, buddy but we can't understand what you're saying."
"Then it's a good thing Carson came along." a second Gnome walked up.
"Hi Mabel, Hi Sprye." He waved.
"Hi." They both said.
"What brings you here?" Mabel asked, still trying to hold back her uncertainty towards these gnomes.
"We were sent here by our leader," Carson replied.
"Jeff sent you?" the human girl asked.
"No not him." the coherent Gnome clarified, "The leader of our resistance, some 12-year-old kid who believed you could help with our struggle against monsters."
Mabel's eyes widened. 12 years old? She was 12 years old and so was...
"What was this 12-year-old kid's name?" she grabbed Carson with her arms and lifted him in the air until he was close to her face.
"I didn't get it." He replied. "I'm just the messenger, All I knew was that they were 12 years old and that they knew you and requested your help."
Mabel realized that this preteen leading the resistance in Gnome Woods could very likely be Dipper. But why wait until now to get a message out?
"But how did you guys get here?" Sprye asked. "Didn't Jeff-"
"Block off the entrance to our part of the forest?" Carson finished her question. "Yes, he did. But there are other paths to it. It was just our luck that we had to take the most dangerous one to get to you."
"Which is?" Sprye asked.
"The Lava caverns up in the mountains," Carson replied. "While we nearly got killed looking for you, at least that way we didn't risk running into any of those monsters that were summoned to this town."
"And we're going to have to back through them to reach the forest?" Mabel asked.
Carson nodded. "Unless we want to deal with thousands of monsters before reaching the forest."
"Well, let me round up Soos, Wendy, and Grenda." Mabel replied.
"Who?" asked Carson
"My friends." She clarified. "They can help us fight those monsters so we don't have to take the long way through those lava caves."
"Mabel, please be rational here." Sprye told her friend. "It's clear that the Gnomes took a discreet way here to avoid drawing attention. If we brought the others with us through the forest we might end up drawing too much attention to ourselves. Sometimes doing things the long way can be the safe way, besides this is a lead on where Dipper may be. We shouldn't botch it by jumping in recklessly.
Mabel sighed reluctantly. "Ok." She turned back to Carson and Shmebulock. "Give me a few moments to get ready and then we'll be off."
"Shmebulock!" said Shmebulock giving a thumbs up.
Mabel closed the door and walked into the TV room to say goodbye to Waddles as she went to grab her sword.
"Hang on Dipper." She spoke to herself. "I'm Coming."
[BGM: Solidus Cave: Hyrule Warriors]
A few hours later, Mabel, Sprye, Soos, Wendy, and Grenda came together and made their way through the Lava Caverns on the mountain.
Accompanying them were a few Gnomes who had come with Carson and Schmebulock to serve as support.
"Jeez." Soos groaned as he wiped his brow. "It's so hot in here!"
"Well, Dipper and I have been here before when we went to go look for one of the Gnome's treasures some time ago." Mabel replied. "And we got used to it after a while. Though, we didn't have to deal with hordes of enemies going all bizonkers around the place.
She gestured to several Animate Skeletons known as Skullkin and several Ghostlike Warlocks known as Wizarlocks who were patrolling the caverns.
"Well," Wendy smirked as she readied her crossbows. "That's their choice to make this lava their tomb."
"Everyone is ready, Grenda." Sprye told the gruff girl. "I hope we can all make it out in one piece."
"The exit's all the way on the other side of this cave." She examined the map. "We'll have to around the north to get to it though."
A horde of Skullkin charged at her but she drew her giant blade from its giant scabbard clasped on her back and began slashing them down.
"Some of our detachments went ahead." Carson explained. "We need to catch up with them before the Monsters take them out."
"Got it." Grenda nodded as she continued slashing enemies down.
They nodded as they followed Grenda's lead in taking down enemies that seemed to pop up endlessly. Mabel sliced and diced with her Rapier, Wendy fired with her crossbows, and Soos fired with his Pistol and slashed with his Cutlass.
After hurrying ahead they came across the mouth of a cave that was blocked by a rock wall.
"That wall looks a bit cracked." Sprye commented. "Maybe we could use something to destroy it."
"Leave it to me." Mabel smirked as she tossed a Magic Bomb at the rocks.
With a BOOM, the wall was demolished allowing them to continue onward.
They were met with a horde of Skullkin and a Wizarlock.
"These caves!" Carson complained. "No matter how many monsters we take down, more keep coming!"
"There must be a keep around here that's spawning all these monsters." Sprye suggested. "We need to find it and capture it.
"Soos and I will look down this way." Wendy offered as she grabbed Soos' arm. "Mabel, you and Grenda search up there."
"Are you sure?" Mabel asked.
Wendy nodded. "We'll come find you after we're done."
"Well if we're going to split up," Carson pulled out several small jewels. "We should at least have these,"
"Oooh sparkly." Mabel spoke in awe. "What are they?"
"They're like your Human phones; They're made from a material called Communi-Quartz." The Gnome told them. "These will allow us to stay in contact with each other in times like this. You use them by gripping them and concentrating on someone who has one too. Observe."
He handed one to Mabel and gripped the one he had. Both crystals began to glow a Teal color as Carson spoke to Mabel. His voice also spoke out of the one Mabel was holding.
"Can you hear me OK?" He asked.
"Uh-huh." Mabel nodded.
"Loud and clear little guy." Soos nodded.
"Yup." Wendy smirked.
"WOW! THOSE CRYSTALS CAN SPEAK TOO!" Grenda exclaimed.
Carson handed out the others he had to Soos, Wendy, and Grenda
"Okay?" Said Wendy. "We have our way of staying connected. Now go!"
Mabel nodded as they went their separate ways.
The two preteen girls made their way to a keep that was filled with Skullkin and a Wizarlock.
The girls looked at each other and nodded before charging into the fray.
Mabel thrust her sword into one Skullkin before firing her Energy bow at another.
Grenda slashed left and right with her Giant axe, even leaping up in the air and flipping down to cut at a Wizarlock.
The enemy retaliated by warping away and charging a blast of dark fire at her that caused her to stagger back.
But that just left it open for Mabel to attack with her rapier and finish with an energy arrow.
With that out of the way the Keep Boss appeared.
Grenda turned to Mabel. "I'll deal with this guy, you and the Gnome guy go save the captain."
"But Grenda, what about you." Mabel asked.
"I'll be fine," Grenda assured. "But right now there are more important things than our wellbeing, so go!"
Mabel sighed before nodding, and she sprinted off with Carson and Sprye behind her.
They hurried over to a Manotaur who was being harassed by another Wizarlock.
Mabel took a deep breath before drawing her sword.
"Hey! You Wizard Dork! Leave the gnome alone!" She shouted before charging with her Rapier.
The Wizarlock evaded some of her swipes by warping away a short distance before firing a ball of dark energy ball at her from its lantern weapon.
She ducked down and charged at it. She summoned her energy bow and fired an intense shot that disintegrated the enemy.
She walked over the Manotaur. "Are you OK?"
The big creature nodded. "Yes, thank you very much, Dipper."
Mabel's eyes widened. "You know my brother?"
The Manotaur's eyes widened upon realizing his mistake.
"Oh. Sorry there, girl. You just reminded me of someone I used to train to become a man."
"That's, OK." Mabel replied. "I'm his sister, Mabel."
"Hello there, Mabel. I'm Chutzpar." The Manotaur introduced himself.
"And you're the detachments assigned to the Gnomes?" Sprye asked.
Chutzpar nodded. "The leader of the Gnome's resistance enlisted our help as well. Us Manotaurs have indeed been able to pulverize these jerks with ease, but as of late they've been coming in huger numbers. Eventually, the fights have just been becoming harder and harder for us. The Gnomes came to us requesting our support. At first we refused until they provided us with a lot of resources that were able to help turn the battle in our favor."
"That's a nice story." Mabel smiled. "And I'm sure you weird cow-monsters will be a great help to us!"
Her attention turned further down the cave and noticed the path was blocked by a flow of lava.
"Oh dang." She exclaimed. "We're trapped."
"Huh," Sprye commented to herself. "If we can break that stone spire that's next to it. Maybe that'll cut off the flow of lava and help us get across.
Mabel then pulled out the Bomb Bag and pulled out several bombs and placed them near the spire.
She pulled out one more and threw it at the pile of other bombs creating a huge explosion which she shielded her eyes from.
But when the dust cleared the Stone Spire was still intact.
"WHAT?!" She complained.
"That's reinforced stone." Chutzpar explained to Mabel. "It'll take more than a few bombs to bring that bad boy down."
"Then...what will it take?" She asked.
Chutzpar smirked. "I think it's time I introduce you to one of the new resources working with the Gnomes provided us with.
He took out a horn and blew it.
Soos and Wendy returned from the South Alcove having taken care of the enemies.
"So what now?" asked Soos.
"We regroup with Mabel and Grenda, and find a way out of these caves." Wendy told him.
Before they could do anything else, two Manotaurs burst in from the entrance much to their surprise.
One of them was holding kart with a Giant Boulder-like Barrel that seemed to resemble a Powder Keg.
"Woah. What is that?" Wendy asked. "More importantly, who are you guys?"
"I'm Minitaur and this is Pubertaur." the first Manotaur introduced himself.
"We heard there's some sort of blockage up ahead." Pubertaur explained, "We're simply transporting a tool that will be used to allow us to continue advancing."
"We'll that's convenient." Soos smiled.
"A little too convenient," Wendy added.
"Don't worry." A gnome next to her assured. "They're with us."
"Oh." Wendy replied. "Well then I guess we're all cool. Now come on, we gotta hurry through these caves before we get cooked!"
Suddenly a horde of enemies began racing at them.
"OH, COME ON!" Wendy complained.
"EEEE-HEE-HEE!" A familiar cackle echoed through the caverns.
A telepathic transmission of her voice rang in their ears.
"Getting you into the caves was child's play. Now it will be your tomb!" Maivy cackled.
"It's that witch." snarled Wendy.
"Destroy their little tool!" Maivy's voice ordered the Skullkin and Wizarlocks. "Do it!"
The Monsters began advancing to the Manotaurs.
"We need that Keg intact!" Minitaur told the two Mystery Shack Employees. "Help us escort it to the stone pillars."
Soos and Wendy nodded.
"We'll cover you." Wendy smirked as she, Soos, and the rookie Manotaurs slowly braced their way through the horde of Monsters.
Back at the front, Mabel turned to see Grenda run up to her.
"You did it!" Mabel exclaimed.
Grenda nodded.
Mabel suddenly gasped and saw three Wizarlocks approach behind her.
Grenda noticed this and was unprepared as they fired several projectiles of dark energy at her.
Mabel leaped in the way and was sent crumpling to the ground.
"MABEL!" Grenda and Sprye cried.
The former turned her enraged head towards the Wizarlocks.
Gripping the handle of her Giant Knife, she closed her eyes...and slashed her blade across their chests as hard as she could.
They were instantly eliminated.
She turned her attention back to Mabel who was covered in scratches on both her face and her clothes.
"Are you OK?" she asked.
Mabel weakly nodded.
Carson pulled out a bottle of a Red Liquid.
"Here, Drink this." He offered.
Mabel pulled off the cork and gulped the red stuff down.
"Mmm tastes like Vegetables and Candy if they had a baby." She smiled.
She began to flow a faint red aura which mended her face and clothes.
She was able to get up with no effort.
"I feel better." She smiled. "What was that?"
"One of our resources: A healing potion made from our Mushrooms." Carson replied. "We have plenty of these to don't worry about using a few."
"Thanks." Mabel nodded. Her thoughts turned to Soos and Wendy and be pulled out her Communi-Crystal
"Soos! Wendy! We finished our task, how about you guys?"
"We finished them too!" Soos replied. "Now we need to get this Bomb-Rock thing to you guys!"
She turned her attention towards a locked Keep and could see Soos and Wendy making their way up with a Powder Keg.
"Guys!" She called out to them. "Take out the monsters in the keep and the door should open right up!"
"You got it, Girl Dude!" Soos called out.
He and Wendy fired shots rapid shots from their ranged weapons before he charged and slashed the Keep Boss down with his Cutlass with a few swings.
The Keep then opened as the Cart moved towards the spire.
Chutzpar smiled at the two small Manotaurs. "Great work you two.
"Thanks Chutzpar." They saluted.
They pushed the cart over to the Spire, unloaded the Boulder Keg, and placed it near the looming rock.
Minitaur gave it a little kick and the whole thing began to spark and exhaust smoke.
BOOOOOM!
The Keg Exploded and destroyed the spire, Covering the flow of lava with hardened Igneous.
"It's safe." Carson told the others. "Now we can get across. Let's go!"
With a nod, everyone hurried along.
After reaching the north of the caves they suddenly found several Skullkin and Wizarlocks advancing towards them.
With too many to take on at this moment, Mabel and Grenda backed up as everyone grouped together as they were slowly surrounded.
As the monsters closed in, Mabel braced for the worst when suddenly she heard a crashing noise.
She opened her eyes to see a giant flash of flash of Purple by and knock down a group of Skullkin like a bowling Ball before moving behind her.
She turned to see an Armored Individual with Bulky Purple Armor and a horned helmet raise a bulky sword and Shield before slashing down the Wizarlocks.
The Knight turned to her to reveal a shadowed face under the helmet.
"Your Brother and your Grunkles aren't dead." A distorted and echoing voice rang from the Small Knight. "You'll reunite with them at some point on your journey but not yet."
"How do you know that?" Mabel asked. "Who are you?"
"You can call me...Mason." The Knight replied.
"Are you with the Resistance too?" Wendy asked.
Mason shook his head. "I am not. But I am not with the Monsters either. I came here to help you on your mission."
"Thanks!" Mabel smiled. "We'll take all the help we can get!"
"Hold on!" Grenda spoke up. "What's in it for you? What are you planning to do with us? Spill it!"
Before anyone could say anything the caves began to rumble.
"We can talk more once we get out of this cave. For now, just let me join you!" Mason pleaded.
"OK!" Mabel nodded.
With that, everyone hurried to the tunnels while Grenda stayed behind looking suspiciously at this Mason person.
But as seeing that they were in the middle of a life-threatening situation she needed to put that aside for now.
She followed behind them to see another horde of monsters arrive at them.
"FORWARD! CUT THEM DOWN! EEEEE-HEE-HEE!" Maivy shrieked insanely.
"They're really getting fierce are they?" asked Mason. "C'mon, we've got to keep moving."
They hurried to the Tunnel Square, cutting down Lizard-Men, Skullkin and Wizarlocks as they hurried.
"The South gate of this Keep leads to the Tunnel's Exit." Sprye told them. "If we capture the keep, the gate might open!"
Mabel sliced and diced with her rapier until all the enemies in the keep were gone.
Once they were gone, a treasure chest appeared.
"Aw sweet! Treasure!" Soos exclaimed as he ran towards the chest and opened it.
Inside was a dagger encased within an ornate crystal.
"What sort of weapon is that?" asked Wendy.
"A sealed Weapon." Sprye explained. "A weapon made by some of the sacred spirits of the Forest. Once we're out of these caves, I can show you how to unlock it."
"Cool." Mabel nodded as she pocketed the weapon.
"This way." Mason ordered as he pointed into the Crystal Portion of the caves.
As everyone hurried into the caves Mayvy's voice rang out.
"THEY HAVE NOWHERE TO RUN! CRUSH THEM! BEAT THEM! GRIND THEM TO DUST! EEEEEE-HEE-HEE!"
Several enemies poured out from the Cave's mouth.
"More Enemies are coming from out of the caves!" Sprye exclaimed. "Do you think there's some sort of conjurer in there?"
"Maybe." Carson suggested. "If we defeat this conjurer maybe the tunnels will open."
"That'd be nice and all." Chutzpar pointed out "But more enemies are coming from other areas of the tunnels too!"
"I'll Guard the rear from oncoming enemies." Mason offered. "Don't worry, I'll be prepared for anything."
"We'll deal with the enemies from the east!" Wendy gestured to her and Soos.
"And I'll find this conjurer." Grenda offered.
"Are you sure?" Mabel asked her friend. "I mean, we don't know what's down there and I don't want you to get hurt."
"I can handle them," Grenda promised. "And besides, I'm not alone."
She patted her pocket and a small green iguana crawled out and perched itself on her shoulder.
"Grenda Jr's with me." She promised. "You handle these enemies coming at us."
"Ok." Mabel nodded. "Just come back alive, OK?"
"I promise." Grenda nodded and with that, she ran deeper into the caves.
Grenda hurried down an abandoned mine track through the caves.
Several Skullkin impeded her movement but she was able to cut them down with ease.
FInally, she noticed a Wizarlock raising its lantern up high and bringing forth more Skullkin.
"Bingo." Grenda smirked "You're the Conjurer."
She charged at him dodging an intense blast of dark fire before slashing at him rapidly before her blade began to glow with an Amber energy as she slashed it along the ground to create a small fissure.
She then sheathed her blade back into her Scabbard as a torrent of water erupted from the fissure, destroying the Conjurer, though the monsters he had already summoned remained.
She turned back to the remaining Skullkin and made quick work of them.
Once that was done, the Gates before her opened.
She pulled out her Communi-Crystal and spoke.
"Mabel, I took out that spirit. So you, Soos, Wendy, and that Knight Boy hurry so we can get outta here!" She exclaimed.
"Got it!" Mabel exclaimed before both crystals ceased their glow.
Mabel pocketed her charm and turned to Soos, Wendy, and Mason.
"Soos, Wendy, and uhh Knight Guy." She told them. "We're gonna get out of here, so let's just stay together and we'll be fine."
The three of them nodded as they followed her after Grenda.
As they reached her, they saw Grenda and a few Gnomes with her waiting for them.
"Come on!" She told them. "Let's blow this place!"
They hurried down the trail until they came face to face with another flow of lava. The Stone Spire before it was even bigger than the last one.
"Drat! More stones in the way?!" Sprye complained.
Minitaur and Pubertaur stepped up.
"Ready for some Many assistance?" They both asked in unison.
"Good Idea!" Sprye nodded. "DO you have the Boulder Keg ready?"
Minitaur nodded "We left it in the tunnel Square, but I can go back and grab it!"
Chutzpar examined the Rock obstructing their path.
"Hmm, it'll take more than one Boulder Keg to blow up a stone that big." He commented. He turned to the Rookies. "Can you bring another one out."
"Gee, boss. That was the only other one we brought." Pubertaur replied. "There's one more but one of our other brothers mentioned leaving one around this area of the caves."
"Well, we gotta go find it!" Chutzpar exclaimed.
"Grenda." Sprye suggested. "Go off and look in that area. While Mabel and Mason defend the Gorons, Soos and Wendy will look off in the area near the East of the Caves where the Mining Equipment is stored.
Grenda nodded as she hurried over to the Central Depot only to find it closed. She then noticed a cliff that lead to the top of the keep.
Gaining an idea she charged up the rocky ledge and leaped off the cliff with her knife drawn.
She let out a savage roar as she slammed her blade into the ground creating a fissure that sent enemies flying.
She noticed a Boulder Keg partially concealed within a crate near the back of the keep.
"Mission almost accomplished." She thought to herself. Now she had to defeat the enemies here so the keep would open up.
She turned her attention to the Wizarlock and slashed him several times with her sword before charging her blade up with amber energy before lunge-swinging and cutting down her enemy.
Once her work was done, the gates opened and Pubertaur was waiting for her.
She moved aside and gestured to the Boulder Keg.
"Thanks, manly girl." He waved before rushing to grab it.
Grenda hurried out to rejoin her allies.
"Everybody set?" Sprye asked. "Then here we go!"
"Got it! Delivering two Boulder Kegs to that spire!" Chutzpar cheered. "It'll be a meat-cake walk from here!"
Everyone agreed, but cringed when he mentioned meat-cake.
Maivy groaned with Irritation.
"Always something in my way." She snarled before flaring up. "Fine. I'll break these abominations myself! OPEN THE GATES!"
[BGM: Kumite SS: Hyrule Warriors]
The gates to the cave where she was taking a foothold opened as she floated out to attack the Gnomes, Manotaurs, and Humans.
"Destroy their boulders!" she ordered her troops. "Crush their final chance of escape before you crush them!"
The Skullkin began charging to the Boulder Kegs.
"GAH! Keep those monsters away from the kegs!" Pubertaur ordered.
"We're out of spare Boulder kegs!" Minitaur exclaimed. "It's all over if those two get destroyed!"
"Got it!" Mason nodded. "It's game over if even one of them is lost!"
"I can protect one of them!" Mabel offered. "Mason can you guard the other one?"
Mason nodded. "You got it, sis!"
Mabel turned to him. "'Sis'?"
Mason eyes widened and he said. "Sorry, I tend to call most of my female allies that. Anyways let's get to work."
With that, he sprinted off to protect the Keg being transported from the Tunnel Square.
Mabel shrugged it off and hurried to the Central Depot to Guard the other Keg.
Soos, Wendy, and Grenda were dealing with some Dark enemies coming their way when they came face to face with Maivy.
Maivy's glare turned into a cruel smirk.
"Well, well, well." She snickered. "If it isn't the three who fancy themselves heroes for that little girl!"
"You're the one who attacked the Mystery Shack!" Wendy snarled.
"And you took Mr. Pines away!" Soos shouted. "WHERE IS HE?! WHERE THE HECK IS MR. PINES! TELL ME! TELL ME NOW!"
Maivy only cackled. "All in due time, my pretty...though in your case it's more of my ugly. Tell you what. Once I've killed you brats, I'll whisper everything you want to know in your dying ears."
She held out her ring which began to flare up with intense dark energy...at Wendy and Soos!
"My mission was to kill the two of you but to capture the Sweater Girl. She has something Bill wants!"
She turned to some of her troops.
"Find the girl and bring her to me!"
The SKullkin and Lizard-Man nodded and rushed to where Mason and Mabel were.
"I'll stop them!" Grenda raced after them leaving Soos and Wendy to face Maivy.
The two employees readied their weapons and charged at the witch but she fired a wave of dark balls at them which knocked them back and another that pushed them back further.
"We're being pushed back! Literally!" Soos cried.
"I'm not gonna let her!" Wendy replied.
She charged at the Witch with her Crossbows while Soos was not far behind.
Maivy created a thick wave of energy and blasted it at them.
Soos was sent flying but Wendy front-flipped over the attack and rapidly opened fire on the Hag.
She then closed her eyes as a whitish-blue aura swirled around her.
As she fired normal arrow shots from her left crossbow, orbs of ice began shooting out of her right one, freezing the remaining enemies left and right.
Soos charged up, his weapons glowing with a similar energy but a dark green color instead.
He fired several shots from his pistol which flew like the wind and left behind small leaves which blinded Maivy from enacting counterattacks. He then plunged his cutlass into the ground allowing several vines to shoot up and bind her.
Both of them stopped when they realized what they were able to accomplish.
"Woah." Wendy exclaimed.
"Did you just...how did we...?" Soos asked before both of them were knocked back by darkballs.
Maivy had freed herself the instant they both let their guard down.
"Like I said." She replied. "I will tell you everything you want to know in your dying ears. But I will say this now, you foolish mortals are all the same. The powers you were given always seem to distract you It's also how your little friend lost to Bill, though in his case it was because he still couldn't control his powers."
Soos and Wendy were taken aback.
"'Little Friend?'" Soos asked.
"Are you talking about Dipper?" Wendy asked as shock filled her system, "Where is he?! What did you do with him!?"
"You're not qualified to peer into that darkness." Maivy taunted.
"How about I freeze you to the floor and ask you again!" Wendy sneered.
She fired a few more ice shots from her crossbows but to her horror, they were coming out weaker.
"Wh-what. N-no. Why?" She started to stutter.
"Soos fired more Bullet Seeds from his Cutlass but they seemed to drop mere inches from being fired.
"What's going on?" He asked.
Maivy smirked.
"It seemed you two haven't yet figured out how to handle these powers either." Maivy taunted. "Which means I still have time to kill you before you learn exactly what they are."
She fired a dark mold of energy with a singular green eye which hit the two of them and knocked them to the ground.
She floated up and charged her ring with a deadly energy at both Employees who were too frozen in terror.
"Worry not." She smiled. "You'll still get to know everything you asked me about when I'm done killing you. Goodbye."
"No! Please!" Soos and Wendy both cried.
Suddenly she stopped she flew forward.
The Two looked and saw Grenda with her Giant blade having snuck behind Maivy and slashed her in the back.
"I WON'T let you hurt them." She snarled. The back of her left hand was glowing with the same Diamond mark Mabel was holding, only this time it was emitting an amber light and the middle-right diamond was the one that was glowing.
"I'm not afraid of you, Witch!" Grenda continued. "And I'm not afraid of your monsters. Send as many as you want to me! I'll take 'em out all the same!"
"You are a very foolish girl." Maivy snarled. "Brave, but foolish!"
"Call me what you want!" Grenda snarled. "I'm not gonna let you hurt my friends."
She readied her blade as a golden-brown aura enveloped her, her eyes morphing into Amber, Diamond-shaped pupils.
Maivy snarled as she blasted the intense Darkness blast at the gruff Girl, but Grenda rolled out of the way, sprang up and nailed her with a rainstorm of daggers made of Light.
Maivy spun around releasing an intense amount of projectiles knocking the three of them back.
Soos was the first to snap.
"I can't deal with this witch-dude anymore!" He shouted. "I'm gonna go help Mabel and that Knight Dude!"
He got up and sprinted off to where Mabel and Mason were escorting the Boulder Kegs.
Soon it was just Wendy and Grenda squaring off against the Witch.
"In the words of you females: Let's dance, girlfriends." Maivy smirked.
"Gladly." Wendy smirked. She turned to Grenda. "Take her down, I'll cover you."
Grenda nodded before charging at Maivy as Wendy shot crossbows from a distance.
Maivy fired several balls of Dark Magic but they were either dodged.
Wendy fired several shots from her crossbow before spinning around in an acrobatic circle knocking down the surrounding enemies and further wounding Maivy.
Grenda summoned a giant orb of amber light that formed around Maivy before slamming her Blade into the orb causing it to explode.
Maivy shrieked as she was sent flying into the wall.
Wendy followed up by firing two blasts of ice from her crossbows onto the witch's arms, freezing them to the wall.
Both girls approached the Witch, their weapons ready.
"Want some more?" Grenda demanded.
"No, no." Maivy squeaked. "I'm good." She smiled menacingly. "I gotta hand it to you children. I never thought you would be entrusted with such important power. But you're still too late. Bill will succeed in the end."
"Bill?" Wendy and Grenda asked in surprise. (They hadn't encountered an enemy named Bill before.)
"Who's Bill?" asked Wendy.
"I said I would tell you everything as I killed you." Maivy retorted. "But seeing as how you are living and breathing. I'll just have to let that question gnaw away at your feeble human minds. We'll meet again but for now. Farewell."
Her form melted into shadow which dripped out of the Icicile restraints and melted into the floor where she dissolved.
Wendy and Grenda looked at each other but decided to shrug it off as they hurried back to cover Mabel and Mason.
Mabel and Soos were covering the Boulder Keg as it was being escorted they were taking down all the enemies that tried coming near.
Once they were done the Keg was transported to the spire where it began to ignite.
At once BOOM, the Boulder Keg exploded, severely damaging the stone spire in the way.
"That's one!" Wendy cheered. "Now we just need to guard the other one until it reaches the spire.
They turned back to see Mason struggling as he was surrounded by several Lizard-Men
They were striking the bomb which looked like it was starting to explode early.
"Oh no!" Soos cried. "They're gonna destroy the rock thingy before we can use it to escape!"
"Not on my watch." Grenda snarled as she charged at the Enemies,
Mabel charged behind her as they both readied their weapons.
Just before the enemies could rear up for another attack, they were distracted by two glowing lights. One pink, one yellow.
They turned around just in time to see a sigil of light form above them,
Mabel and Grenda shouted as they thrust their weapons forward creating an explosion of light that obliterated the remaining enemies surrounding the Boulder Keg.
When it was cleared the Keg resumed advancing, though Mabel and Grenda were in shock at each other, and Mason was surprised too.
"Woah." Mabel turned to Grenda. "You can do the whole glowy thing too?"
"Apparently." Grenda shrugged. "But the more important question is: HOW can we do that?"
"We'll worry about that later." Mason replied. "For now, we need to get out of these caves."
The girls raced on ahead as he followed behind.
("Those powers.") He thought to himself. ("They don't seem like the ones Soos and Wendy had, yet they're just as powerful. But what are they? If they're not the powers of the 12-)
"Mason!" Soos turned to the knight. "You coming?"
"Oh, y-yeah." Mason nodded as he hurried forward as the second Keg made it to the spire.
BOOM
The Keg destroyed the spire which covered the lava flow allowing them to cross over.
Once they made it to the end, Chutzpar opened the gates to the exit keep.
"Great!" Sprye cheered. "Now we can head to Gnome Forest and find this Kid we've been hearing about."
Mabel nodded. "I hope it's Dipper.
Mason quickly interjected. "Mabel, Grenda, Soos, and Wendy. Good job. If we combine our efforts. Gravity Falls may yet survive."
"You're welcome." Mabel nodded as they all hurried out of the caves.
The Repository
Bill watched these events from his crystal ball. NĂtho and Maivy were watching from a distance.
"I gotta say." He admitted. "Once I got a physical form, I would have lost the ability to spy on the others, but thanks to this baby here, I'm still in the game."
He gave the crystal ball a little flick before noting his arm was starting to dissolve in shadow.
"Dang. I'm almost out of time." He muttered. "I better finish up with completing my Vessel."
As he floated off his thoughts turned to what he experienced in the caves.
"So that Monster ended up with the Diamond of Courage." He mused. "At this point, I pretty much know who the Diamond of Wisdom will go to and it won't be long for it chooses her as its bearer."
He turned to Maivy who was recovering from her wounds.
"Maivy when you're fully patched up, I want you to head to gnome forest with some of our troops and put on a show for that little resistance."
"Yes, Bill." Maivy nodded.
Bill looked up to the sky.
"Soon all four pieces will be on the board and once they are. The world, No, the MULTIVERSE will be mine."
"Ahem." the voice from inside his head rang out.
"Sorry." He sheepishly replied. "I mean Ours."
