Then*
Rize looked at Danny and inhaled deeply. With a devious grin, she spoke, "You know, for a ghost, you smell delicious."
Danny shuddered. Lady, you are a nutcase.
Rize, unphased by Danny's comment, released her kagune and in an instant impaled Danny through his chest.
As she lifted his body into the air, Danny let out a cough, spewing blood.
Rize slowly drew her kagune back within her reach, took her finger, and made a swooping motion in Danny's wound.
Danny winced.
Rize brought her finger to her lips. "Who would of thought ghost would be so rich in flavor," said Rize.
Danny now looks down and begins to slowly bring his gaze to the large wound in his chest.
The reality of what has happened to him begins to sink in.
He gasped for air, but each breath just sent a sharp pain through his body.
Danny started to phase through her kagune, but his efforts were interrupted when Rize sent him soaring through the air until his body was met with a concrete wall.
The cracking sound of Danny's bones filled the room.
Certain he now had a concussion, Danny tried to stay conscious as he stood up and wiped the blood from his face.
His head felt so foggy, Danny took flight gaining immense amounts of speed, Rize sent a barrage of attacks at Danny.
He dodged 3 tails but the third made contact piercing his face for a moment but Danny made his head intangible and connected a solid left jab, sending her through the next two concrete pillars.
Who sent you?! Danny yelled.
With a smirk she muttered wouldn't you like to know?
Rize lifted the the broken pillars and hurtled them at Danny, using them like a shield as she dashed quickly behind them.
Danny punched through what pillars he didn't phase through, but through the cloud of debris, Rize sent two tails soaring at Danny's feet, bashing him into the concrete like a ragdoll.
Danny gathered what strength he had left and became intangible, phasing out of Rize's sight.
He continued to phase until he was back on the first floor of the building.
That alone took a lot out of him, unsure he could even hold his ghost form for much longer.
He began desperately heading towards what he hoped was the direction of an exit.
Knowing any second, he could collapse.
Danny's bloody hands left a trail along the concrete as he used the wall to hold himself up as he shuffled towards the exit.
His legs began to tremble and eventually gave out, causing him to have to crawl towards any hope for freedom.
Danny didn't have his phone on him, nor had he told anyone he was patrolling.
If he had, he might have had a chance of being rescued.
But help wasn't coming, Danny had no idea how he was going to get out of this mess.
~ Back on the third floor Rize wasn't upset by her meal trying to escape.
In fact, she rejoiced, as she loved the thrill of the chase.
(Something about the fear and adrenaline makes the food just taste better), she thought.
(She was sadistic in that way.)
Rize made her way to the first floor slowly. but not before making a stop for something special for the half breed.
Thinking the suspense would make the end result even better.
Aware of Danny's powers, she wasn't shocked that he phased through the floor.
As she walked down the stairs, the taste of blood still lingered on her tongue.
Rize couldn't help herself from giggling, and she was filled with glee.
Danny winced as he heard Rize's laughter echo through the building.
She was getting closer, and he wasn't sure how much longer he could hold out.
Now*
Danny couldn't comprehend what he was witnessing.
For a moment, he got choked up trying to speak, but he managed to get the words out.
Hey! What are you doing?! Danny yelled at the man.
The man turned his head slowly towards Danny, just enough to side-eye him and reveal the blood that had stained his face.
On one hand, Danny could see it was full of flesh and oozing with blood.
(Is this a ghoul?) Danny thought to himself.
The man chuckled.
Can't you see I'm busy here? Why don't you run along while you still can? He turned around completely now.
This time when Danny saw his eyes, they were black with crimson irises.
Danny stood in the alley trying to transform. But nothing happened.
Frustrated, Danny darted towards the ghoul at full speed and tackled him.
Danny proceeds to pummel the guy.
Although he wasn't really able to do much damage, since he had average strength at best while in his human form.
The ghoul snickered and clocked Danny with a left hook, sending him tumbling across the ground.
You? You thought that you could stop me? Look at yourself. You are weak, not even worth the effort.
The ghoul chuckled lightly as he approached Danny, who was still lying on the ground.
He picked Danny up by the collar and threw him towards the other end of the alley, his face landing in a puddle of water.
Come on, I thought you wanted to play hero? The ghoul yelled.
Danny raised his head weakly.
Pushing himself up off the ground, he noticed his reflection in the water.
(My eye, ) he thought to himself.
Danny staring at his reflection, saw one normal eye, a cerulean-colored iris, and the other crimson-colored.
Danny could no longer doubt the truth.
Everything made sense, all the sudden changes he had been noticing all added up.
Danny's head was a mess right now.
(What am I going to do?! I can't kill people to survive! I won't.) He thought, unable to compose himself.
Danny, now blinded by his emotions, began running towards the ghoul, throwing uncoordinated strikes wildly.
Danny wasn't letting up, causing the ghoul to be on the defensive.
The ghoul continued to back up while still dodging Danny's fist.
In the midst of Danny's barrage of attacks the ghoul noticed the Danny's eyes. ( A one eyed ghoul? They're supposed to be myth, a story told to children about the a ghoul that has come to free all of ghoul kind.)
The ghouls train of though was broken when Suddenly, Danny lands a hook kick to the ghoul's stomach, knocking the wind out of the ghoul and causing him to stumble and fall.
The ghoul fidgeted for a moment, when he spoke his words were muffled, like he was drowning.
Danny heard him mutter "one eyed king" then all movements ceased.
Danny unsure of what had happened, took a step closer, when he noticed a jagged piece of metal pierced his jugular, causing the ghoul to bleed out within seconds.
Danny didn't want this outcome; he never intended to kill the guy.
( It was an accident ), he thought to himself.
Shaken to his core, he had gone from a semi-normal guy to a murderous ghoul in a few days.
His life was in shambles, and Danny had no one to turn to.
Sam and Tucker couldn't understand this.
A ghost is such an easier thing to digest compared to murdering as a ghoul.
Danny had known the paramedics wouldn't be here in time to save him.
But still, he searched the ghoul for a phone, dialed 911, and spoke briefly before ditching the phone.
Danny got up and walked towards the body the ghoul had been dining on and crouched next to him.
Danny sat silently for a moment before shedding a tear for the nameless victim.
Danny wiped his face and he hadn't realized he was also drooling over the body, like a wild animal.
He set there in silence, his ghoulish side had began taking over. Danny didn't even realize that in his right hand he held a part of this strangers intestines.
It was like a power struggle in his body. His right arm acting on it's on accord, with a death grip on what his body had now considered food.
Danny tried to hold his arm down desperately trying to keep the "food" away from his mouth. Just as the food was almost to his face, Danny gained control over his right arm again, sling the intestines out of his hands.
He stood up and left the scene, having no idea of how he had became this atrocity, this ghoul-ghost hybrid.
Danny finally made it home and up to his room without anyone noticing.
As a sat on the bed, he heard his phone go off "buzz".
Danny grabbed his phone and saw that Sam had sent him a text.
Sam - "Hey you want to get together with Tucker and I to go see "Trinity of doom II" tomorrow?
( There is no way I can even talk to them, let alone see her. ) Danny though to himself, as he turn his phone over and tried to fall asleep.
Then*
Danny looked around more attentive to details trying to recall if anything had changed from when he first entered the building.
As Danny got closer to the exit he noticed something littered around the exit, which probably meant it encased the entire outside of this place.
Are those Blood Blossoms? Danny muttered under his breath. How could she know about those? What can Danny do now, he was stuck, weakened, clearly this Rize had did her homework or she was working with someone.
(There is way to many variables and unknowns with this woman) Danny said with vex.
