Chapter 3: Illogical

Review Replies

Knightmare Lord: Izuku and Gowther's characters being mixed together makes for an adorable combo.

Dragon Emperor0: We certainly think so.

ThermalsniperN7: It really is an adorable combo.

: Great chapter, keep up the awesome work

Dragon Emperor0: Thanks.

ThermalsniperN7: The work will continue.

Ryuujin96: Awesome work on this chapter and I enjoyed reading it. It's nice to see Izuku paired up with Toru and I'm glad you're setting up the romantic pairing for Izuku at a faster pace. I also like Izuku has One For All and I like how he explained his training to Toru, by saying he wasn't sure he was at liberty to say. I liked Izuku's interactions with Toru and I like that Izuku helped Toru learn to turn off her invisibility. I liked the level Izuku's physical parameters were at, before getting One for All. I also like how you're doing Izuku's personality. I look forward to reading the next chapter.

ThermalsniperN7: Nice to know this AU of Izuku is well received. We're feeling good about ourselves.

Dragon Emperor0: Yeah, we really wanted to make this another good entry to our Seven Deadly Sins/Izuku series–so it's certainly good to hear that this is indeed the case.

Carneyjarred: single pairing or molecule?

ThermalsniperN7: ... Did you put "molecule" instead of "polycule" by mistake?

Dragon Emperor0: Either way, your question isn't necessary as 1. We already addressed this, and 2. No, this is a single pairing story.

Shirkahn: Nice update! Looking forward to the next chapter!

Dragon Emperor0: Thanks.

ThermalsniperN7: Here's the next chapter.

-UA High-

"Check out the results from the exam!" Powerloader exclaimed as he and the other teachers looked at all the UA hopefuls that passed the entrance exam.

"Wow, the first place student didn't even have rescue points." Midnight hummed.

"The kid cleaned house while everyone else was running off, he's tough, I'll give him that." Snipe noted, looking at Katsuki's score.

"And on the complete other end of the spectrum there's the second place student with sixty rescue points and only twenty eight hero points." Midnight nodded.

"Ah yes, Izuku Midoriya." Nezu nodded, looking over the Goat Sin's file. "He's certainly an odd one for certain, his file states that he is on the Autism Spectrum, but due to the stigma associated with the mental condition in our country, he never really received worthwhile counseling." He mused. "Additionally due to the nature of his quirk and body, he was often labeled as abnormal even by today's standards." He added.

"And based on what I'm seeing, the kid has a limited range of sensory abilities." Snipe noted. "He can taste, smell and feel most things—but his pain receptors are completely numb." He added.

"We'll have to help him learn to examine his body to keep him from getting put in the hospital too often." Midnight commented, not wanting to see the Goat Sin crippled or killed.

"And I think it would also be prudent to give him special classes specifically tailored to helping him due to his special needs." Nezu nodded. "The world we live in is one where the abnormal is now normal, so we must start correcting our original culture assumptions lest we let things fall by the wayside." He noted, looking back at a man leaning against the wall behind him. "Don't you agree, Eraserhead?" He asked.

"It is a necessity." The man replied with a slight nod.

"Our country does really need to change how we see things like that, you're correct." Midnight nodded. "Though I think that either myself, Mic or All Might should be the ones to handle this." She continued. "No offense, Aizawa, but you aren't exactly the most sociable person in the world." She added.

"Yeah, you're better off leaving that to the social people." Snipe nodded.

"It's the most rational thing to do, you'll hear no argument from me." Aizawa shrugged.

"But perhaps some extra lessons from you could help as well." Nezu mused. "As you both share a rather similar mindset—though Midoriya's is far more calculating and mechanically devoid of obvious emotion." He noted.

"I'll make something for that…" The underground hero shrugged.

(Elsewhere)

Izuku sat on his bed as he rather robotically did his various exercises to keep his body in its current condition, however, as he started doing some splayed leg stretches—he got a phone call.

"Hm?" He hummed as he looked at the caller ID and saw Toshinori's name. "Hi, Toshinori. Need something?" He asked upon answering.

"Yeah, come to Dagoba Beach, I want to talk to you about something." The man told his student.

"Of course." The boy nodded before hanging up and getting himself dressed to head out.

(Later)

As night began to fall that day at Dagoba beach, where All Might was standing in his withered form and watching for his pupil as the round bespectacled boy came into view.

"Hello." The boy waved in his usual neutral tone, but his body language was enough to tell the man that he was happy to see his mentor again—as he was bouncing his way towards the symbol of peace.

"You know, you may not know it, but you did catch the eye of the faculty." The No. 1 Hero told him.

"… In what way?" Izuku questioned, his head tilted in confusion.

"Well, they saw your performance and your file, so they'll at least know what to expect from you." Toshinori explained as simply as he could.

"Oh." The Sin of Lust nodded. "Your power did less damage than I'd anticipated. But I was still adversely affected by the backlash, only realizing it after my body gave out." He stated.

"I noticed that, too. You can handle it for sure, but we'll need to build your body up to withstand the backlash better." The blonde man nodded. "Or set a limit for how much you can use it for you to keep in mind due to your inability to feel the effects of the backlash." He added.

"Yes, that would be beneficial to me." The autistic boy nodded as he thought about it. "For now, I think I'll restrict myself to up to five percent or below until things improve." He mused.

"That'll be a good start, I think." All Might nodded. "Now, there's something else I think you should be made aware of." He stated.

"What?" Izuku asked.

"The principal mentioned that he's thinking of having you take special extracurricular classes to help you develop your social skills and help you with your 'understanding emotions' pursuit." His mentor explained.

"I won't say no to extra help." The Goat Sin said neutrally, but it was obvious from his words that he was grateful that people were willing to help.

"It'll be taught by myself, Present Mic, the R-Rated Hero: Midnight, and the Erasure Hero: Eraserhead." The blonde elaborated.

"I did not expect an underground hero to take part in this." Izuku blinked, knowing full well who Eraserhead was. He made sure to keep up to date with certain heroes in the field.

"He thinks he can offer some advice that may be beneficial to you." All Might explained. "Now come on, I want to see how you run." He added as he bulked up, running off.

"Right behind you!" The boy exclaimed as he joined his mentor in jogging.

(Later)

"You have everything, Izuku?" Inko questioned as she watched her son get his things in order for his first day of class.

"Affirmative. I've double checked." Izuku nodded in reply.

"Alright, be careful out there, son." The woman told him.

"Roger roger." The boy nodded, saluting his mother briefly before walking out the door.

After the door closed, Inko giggled to herself.

"I love it when he does that cute Battle Droid impression." She smiled to herself. Letting Izuku watch Star Wars had been arguably her best move ever.

(Later)

"Class A… it should be here." The Goat Sin hummed as he walked down the hallway of UA, until he reached the door he was supposed to find. "… Considering the nature of some quirks, I should have expected this." He mused.

Opening the door, he was greeted by…

"Take your feet off that desk this instant!" The blue haired teen Izuku recognized from his exam area exclaimed as he tried to get Katsuki to stop reclining. "It's the first day of class and you're already disrespecting this school by scuffing its property, you creton!" He barked.

"You're kidding me, right?" Katsuki retorted. "Your old school put a stick up your ass? Or were you born with it?" The blonde jeered.

'There he goes again…' Izuku sighed mentally. He came into middle school like that, and it looked like UA was no different.

"... Let's start over, I'm Tenya Iida from the Somei Private Academy." The bespectacled boy stated.

"Somei, huh?" Katsuki hummed. "That means you think you're better than me, huh? Let's see that stick after I tear you a new asshole." He chuckled semi-darkly.

"You'd threaten me? Your own classmate?! Are you sure you're in the right class?!" The teen gasped.

Katsuki only scoffed before he took notice of who was at the door.

"Oi, stop standing there like some creeper, Deku." He barked as the Sin of Lust stepped into the classroom.

"Roger roger." The brainiac nodded, saluting his elder brother figure.

"You know him?" The bespectacled teen asked with a raised eyebrow as he looked at Katsuki.

"As a matter of fact, four eyes, I do." The blonde nodded, flipping a pointing digit at the autistic teen as the rest of the class looked at the boy, who had his head tilted in confusion. "That is the so-called Sin of Lust, Izuku Midoriya, the Goat Sin." He explained.

"Hello." The boy replied, waving at the other students.

"He's autistic, so be mindful. I don't want any of that stigma crap being aimed his way, got it?!" The blonde bomber told the class with a stern glare. This made it clear that Katsuki cared about Izuku a great deal.

The other kids didn't seem to really respond to this, but Iida seemed to nod along, seeing that this explanation actually explained a lot about the green haired teen's odd behaviors and rather abnormal mannerisms.

Well, as strange as could be quantified in this day and age, anyway.

Toru, who had known Izuku far longer than anyone in the class other than Katsuki, nodded silently as well. She had been able to figure the Goat Sin out in the time she knew him, and she picked up on his autism. She actually found it endearing in a way.

As Izuku went to sit down, however, someone else walked in.

"Hey! I recognized that messy hair!" A voice said behind him, causing him to turn around.

"Oh, hi, Ochako." The green haired boy said upon seeing Ochako's face.

"What do you think we're going to be doing besides orientation, Izuku? I certainly can't wait to meet everybody." The brunette smiled.

"I'm a little curious about that myself." The Goat Sin shrugged.

Before anything else could be said on that topic…

"If you just came here to make friends, then you can leave." A tired voice interjected, getting their attention.

This caused everyone to turn and see a yellow sleeping bag laying on the ground and someone inside it was just watching them.

Izuku, now much more deeply confused, tilted his head to the side and adjusted his glasses.

"Why is there a bizarre caterpillar trying to be scary?" He wondered, causing Katsuki and Ochako to snort in amusement. Toru giggled at the boy's words, finding them both silly and funny at once.

"Nothing seems to phase you, does it, Midoriya?" Aizawa stated as he got out of his sleeping bag. "Hello everyone, my name is Shota Aizawa, your teacher." He explained.

'He's our teacher?!' Everyone but Izuku thought in shock.

"Identification: Shota Aizawa, aka the Erasure Hero: Eraserhead." The Goat Sin noted, pointing a finger at the man as he used his quirk to see his memories. "Quirk: Erasure - Makes the user capable of shutting down any and all quirks in their field of vision that ends when they blink. Specialty: Stealth Ops and Ambush tactics, Occupation: Hero and Teacher, Hobbies: Napping, Writing and Research, Likes: Cats, Coffee, Cat Cafes, and dark comedy." He listed without missing a beat. "Note: Has a habit of expelling classes or students he doesn't like. This tends to get him in hot water with the board of education." He added.

"... Is that last part official?" Ochako asked after a beat passed.

"Affirmative, my personal trainer Toshinori Yagi was kind enough to give me a heads up warning before school started should I end up in Class A." Izuku nodded.

"... How were you able to know all that out of hand?" Iida questioned.

"My quirk, Invasion, allows me to view the memories of the people around me and even alter them. Useful for finding potential traitors in our midst and covering up my trail in future infiltration missions." Izuku explained.

"I can definitely see the uses for your quirk." Aizawa nodded. "That said, don't do that, it's a serious violation of privacy." He added.

"Roger that." The Sin of Lust nodded with a salute.

"Thank you." The man nodded. "Now, all of you put these tracksuits on and meet me at the sports field." He continued as he pulled twenty tracksuits out of his sleeping bag.

"... How did you make a sleeping bag of holding?" Izuku wondered with a blink.

"Took the words right outta my mouth." Katsuki nodded in agreement.

(Later)

Later on, out on what looked to be the UA track field…

"What? A Quirk Assessment test?" The kids questioned.

"I expected this. Given your nature, you perceive orientation as a waste of time and want to get straight to the point, correct?" Izuku surmised, getting a nod in return.

"That's right." The man confirmed. "Now you've all been taking standardized tests most of your lives, but you never got to use your quirks in physical exams before." He began. "The country's still trying to make us think we're all equal by not letting those with the most power excel. It's not rational." He continued.

"While that may be the case, trying to quantify the whole of a person's potential based on just how their quirk is in a few simple physical tests is itself subjective and furthermore very much illogical." The Sin of Lust stated, raising his hand.

"You're kidding me with the hand up, right?" Katsuki deadpanned.

"I see your point, Midoriya." The underground hero conceded. "But all the same, it helps gauge how helpful a person's quirk can be in various situations." He added. "Bakugo, what was your furthest softball throw in junior high?" He questioned.

"Sixty seven meters." Katsuki replied.

"Sixty five point seven, actually." Izuku corrected, having used his quirk to help recall that day–getting a smack on the head in response.

"Not bad, either way." The tired looking man shrugged. "Try throwing it again, but use your quirk this time." He added as he tossed the ball at Katsuki, who caught it.

"Alright, man, you asked for it." The blonde said as he got in position to throw, his arm going in a circle as he limbered himself up. "DIE!" He yelled as he sent the ball flying with an explosive throw–literally.

"And this is what these tests serve to do: Uncover the limits of your quirks, and see just how far you can go as a pro." Aizawa told the class as he showed Katsuki's distance score, which was 706.5 meters.

"Whoa, over seven hundred meters are you kidding me?!" A boy from earlier, Kaminari, exclaimed.

"That's crazy!" A redheaded boy, Kirishima, exclaimed in amazement.

"This is what I mean when I say gauge your potential. Because if you don't know your current limits, you won't survive here." Aizawa stated. "UA will throw one terrible hardship after another at you. It's your job as students to push past your limits and overcome them, Plus Ultra style." He continued. "Now, with that said. Let's begin." He nodded.

-15 meter dash-

Izuku watched as the other students went and did their dash runs, all of them getting varying times. Then his turn came, which prompted him to try and figure out what to do.

"By my calculations, a brief burst of five percent should be sufficient…" The Goat Sin hummed as he got into position and started channeling his power, but this time, he decided to distribute it throughout his body instead of a single limb. "Increase." He intoned, before blasting off in a flash of green lightning.

A split second later, he appeared at the finish line.

"1.25 seconds!" The timer bot chimed.

"Whoa! I couldn't even track that!" Kaminari yelped in surprise as he looked between the starting and finish lines.

'That was definitely not Invasion at work. What was that?' Katsuki wondered in suspicion. "Then again, he is part doll… Does he have spring loaded limbs I don't know about?" He wondered aloud.

-Long Jump-

Izuku, like last time, watched as the events continued—and got an idea for how he could use his new full body distribution to keep up his progress.

Taking a running start, he fully activated One for All and managed to clear three quarters of the distance.

"Well, that was acceptable." He mused as he got up after he landed.

"Not bad!" The others exclaimed.

-Grip Strength-

"Locked… Increase!" The Doll-like teen said as he used One for All at a higher percentage in his hands to crank down on the device in his hand, and incrementally increasing it until he started to feel himself getting lightheaded.

Once he felt the sign, he stopped, and saw that he reached exactly 540 Kilograms.

"Aaaand that's enough." He sighed as he stopped upon feeling he had enough for the test. "Oooh, I'm lightheaded…" He breathed as he held a hand to his head.

"Are you okay?" Toru asked, running up to him and letting him rest on her so he wouldn't fall over.

"Yes. Just need a moment to rest so I can recover." Izuku told her in reply.

'Hm, so lightheadedness is one thing that can tell him when he's overexerting himself. Better commit that to memory.' Aizawa noted.

-Repeated Side Steps-

This next event was dominated by a rather small boy with purple balls for hair, so Izuku—ever the rational thinker—decided that going all out was unnecessary since he wouldn't surpass that score.

-Soft ball throw-

After watching the others do their throws, Izuku was confident he had a functional plan in mind for this test.

"Using my increased power here will definitely help me stay in at least the top ten or at most top five." He hummed to himself as Ochako got a score of infinity. "Interesting quirk." He mused.

"Midoriya, you're up." Aizawa prompted as he tossed the autistic teen a ball.

"Roger Roger!" The boy saluted as he jogged up to the circle.

"Gotta admit, your friend's pretty strong for a kid with a basic emitter type quirk." Sero noted.

"He's like that cuz he's part doll, dumbass." Katsuki hissed.

"What in the world does that mean?" Kirishima wondered.

"It means his body is built like a doll." Ochako told him in reply.

"How do you figure that?" Shoji, the one who tied with Izuku in the grip strength test, questioned.

"We saw it in the entrance exam." Toru told him.

"Wait, so his entire body is built like an actual doll?" Mineta, the class shortie with purple balls for hair, questioned. "… Wonder if that makes him really flexible." He wondered aloud.

Izuku didn't really pay them any attention, as he simply got himself prepared to do his throw, calculating the right trajectory, time and speed he'd need to have the ball reach to give his maximum power throw the right level of hit.

'Hm… If I focus my power into the last finger on the ball at the last second, I should be able to send it flying farther than Kacchan's.' He thought as he got ready to throw.

"Ready." He hummed, setting his stance first. "Set." He continued, turning his body for the wind up. "Aim." He said, cranking his arm back—before swinging into the throw—and at the last second…

"FIRE!" He yelled as he used his power on his finger and sent the ball flying in a sonic boom.

The rest of the class looked startled by this while Katsuki felt suspicious even more now since spring loaded limbs were not that powerful.

"… Did you learn how to copy launcher weapon action figures? Or am I missing something?" The Pomeranian called.

"I'll explain later." The Goat Sin replied.

"... 715.8 meters. Not bad." Aizawa nodded, impressed by the distance. "Now, with that out of the way, let's continue with the tests." He continued.

(Later)

Izuku sighed a bit as he sat at his desk following the end of the quirk assessment test. He had seen a lot of noteworthy quirks, Momo Yaoyorozu's Creation quirk being the most interesting to him. To create anything from her own lipids was fascinating to him, which made his desire to understand it grow.

As far as his placing he was at fifth place overall, which made him feel a lot better.

"Hm… I wonder if I can help anyone analyze their quirks at a deeper level…" He mused idly.

This didn't last long, as he soon felt someone hug him from the side and sit themselves in his lap.

"Nice job in the tests." Toru chirped with a smile.

"Thank you." The boy nodded.

"So, got any ideas based on what you saw everyone do? I just know you've got several already." The chromatic girl asked.

"A few." Izuku nodded, jotting down a few specific ideas in his notebooks.

As the invisibility quirk using girl watched Izuku write his ideas down, she couldn't help but notice how adorable he looked while he did it.

'Wait, where'd that come from?' She wondered with a blink before she shook her head.

"You two look adorable together!" Mina, a girl with pink skin and horns, chirped as she leaned across from the desk she was borrowing.

"Wha–?!" Toru yelped with a wide eyed look.

"Oh come on, don't act like that! It's so obvious that you two would make a good couple!" The pinkette grinned.

"Pardon?" The Sin of Lust questioned, head tilted.

"Okay, do you feel anything when you're near Toru?" Mina questioned, now remembering Izuku's autism and decided to sort something out for him.

This caused the boy to look at Toru—his eyes having adjusted enough to wear he could see her when the light hit her correctly— and then became thoughtful as his cheeks flushed briefly at the same time as hers.

"Um… Well, I do sometimes feel like my face heats up when I look at her… I suppose that's something." He hummed, his blush deepening.

Unseen to them, Katsuki glanced his way when he said that.

'Wait… Is Deku having his first crush?!' He thought in surprise.

"Oooh!" Mina exclaimed, face lighting up. "You hear that Hagakure?" She beamed.

"Of course I did! I'm basically in front of him!" The prism colored girl retorted with a blush.

"Well it seems like you got a chance!" The pink girl told her.

'What is happening?' Izuku wondered in confusion, clueless on the topic of romance.

Katsuki, who was discreetly observing the whole thing, saw how clueless the Goat Sin was and knew he had to lay down a few important things for him to know. If he didn't, things could collapse in disaster.

(Later)

Izuku idly put his things into his backpack so he could go home, but he was suddenly pulled aside by someone. That someone turned out to be a serious looking Katsuki.

"Deku, I'll get to the point. I saw what happened between you and that girl earlier. There are a few things I need to go over with you for your own good." He began.

"That being…?" The Goat Sin questioned, his head cocked to the right.

"Be careful with how you treat a girl. If you're not, then bad things can happen." The blonde told him.

"Bad things? How?" He asked.

"God, you are denser than a neutron star…" Katsuki groaned.

This was gonna be a long-ass talk…

Dragon Emperor0: Well Izuku certainly made a big impression on his class during his first day, didn't he?

ThermalsniperN7: That he did, and unlike other iterations, he spread One for All through his whole body right away during the tests, so we don't have to wait a couple of seasons for that to happen. That's a relief.

Dragon Emperor0: This version of Izuku is far more analytical than other iterations, so of course he'd be able to find and address the problems with his current skill level and act accordingly. And thankfully, no one's really treating him differently, which is not common in Japan IRL, seriously, the Japanese have a big problem with discriminating against people with disabilities, mixed heritages (Particularly half japanese people), Japanese people with more western ideas or neurodivergent people–seeing them as 'not japanese' and as lesser beings. It's damn near unconscionable.

ThermalsniperN7: Which is completely unfair to the people in question. How is it their fault they are the way they are? Seriously, I've gone to a few schools here in America where I got shafted growing up. It only got better when I got to middle school, but the damage was still there. We did nothing to warrant treatment like this, yet we got it anyway.

Dragon Emperor0: As a guy who has family members who either work with or are special needs, don't be like that. Be kind and help people who are neurodivergent, don't treat them any less than you would anyone else, it's damn near evil.

ThermalsniperN7: Yeah. But enough of that gloomy talk; Onto other things. It looks like Izuku is having his first real crush, and it's on Toru.

Dragon Emperor0: Yeah, that's gonna be very difficult for Katsuki to explain, given that the blonde probably hasn't even looked at a woman, let alone dated one to know what a crush is.

ThermalsniperN7: Yeah, he's gonna have to get both Mitsuki and Inko to help out on this one. He'll need the help. Anyway, see you next time.
