Chapter 3

Thalia's POV

We were all sitting in the big house's rec room which doubled as our meeting room.

All the cabin counselors were here, with Malcom being the new Counselor of the Athena cabin. Zoe was here for the Hunters along with Annabeth.

"So first I think we need to break down this Prophecy line by line" I said. This surprised people that I was the first to speak because normally it was one of the Athena children.

"Okay, so the first line is pretty self-explanatory both hunters and heroes meaning both the hunters of Artemis and Campers from Camp Half Blood. I would recommend 3 hunters and 2 campers, and of course, it tells us to go west'' Annabeth said. After she said this she looked at Zoe who nodded for her to keep going.

"It says we must free the burdened one, does anyone know what or who that means?" Annabeth asked. We all shook our heads except for Zoe who paled.

"The burdened one is most likely referring to the burden of the sky. Lady Artemis came to me and said that Perseus was the one stuck under the burden after freeing her" Zoe said

"Wait what! Percy is under the sky" One of the Stolls said (I can't tell them apart most of the time) "And Artemis was under it as well" The other one said.

"Chiron do you have any idea who the forgotten one is?" I asked. He shook his head solemnly.

Annabeth picked up the last line saying "The friend who has turned has to be Luke right?" I nodded at this as it seemed plausible.

"As this quest was given to me I will be going and I will take Annabeth and Phoebe for the three Hunters," Zoe said

"I will go for one of the two campers," I said. Chiron did not look happy about this but must have known I was too stubborn to be deterred.

Grover was here as well and had finally realized what was being discussed and nearly tripped over himself while standing up and saying "I will go" It came out a bit muffled because he still had pieces of tin cans in his mouth.

"That clears it up you all can leave in the morning," Chiron said.

Once the meeting concluded I went to my cabin where the creepy Zeus statue was staring and silently watching everything. I went to the little alcove that hid me from the statue and where I slept and lay down, and went into a much-needed sleep.

Dream Sequence

I looked at my surroundings and saw a guy under what looked like a ton of rocks. He was holding it up which looked like an impossible feat.

The ground at his feet was covered in blood and his back was scarred and bleeding in some places.

I looked more closely at the man's face and realized it was Percy. Behind him, I saw Luke holding a whip and he brought it down in a swift manner that made Percy groan in pain.

He doesn't have any energy to scream I realized.

"Normally with prisoners, one of my guards would give punishments like this but with such a special guest like you, I thought I should see to it personally," Luke said as he brought the whip down on Percy's back once again.

I yelled in anger at what I was witnessing. My former best friend who had joined the enemy whipped one of my new friends.

Luke grabbed a bucket by his foot and threw it on Percy's back which made Percy sigh in relief. I watched as the wounds on his back slowly healed but the scarring stayed.

Luke walked around Percy until he was in front of him, and squatted down so that he was at eye level with Percy, and said "You could join us Perce"

Percy tried to laugh but it turned into him coughing up a lot of blood. "You don't cough want me to cough join you"

"Your right I don't," Luke said

"If you cough did I wouldn't cough be in this cough situation. You want Thalia don't you" Percy said.

"Bravo Percy. I didn't think you would be smart enough to get to that conclusion, but you are correct" Luke said. "The general wants both of you, but your fatal flaw restricts your cooperation on the other hand Thalia's helps us. The son of Hermes finished.

I wouldn't join Kronos. Would I? Was my last thought as my dream faded to black

End of Dream Sequence

Percy's POV

After Luke finished his turn torturing me I was stuck under the sky while the water worked on my back.

I was sitting there formulating a plan when I heard a voice it sounded deep and ancient not evil like Kronos's "So you are the one who has taken the burden of the sky. Unlike the previous beings under me, you are a mortal and this is a great feat for a mortal"

"Uh who are you" I asked

"I am Uranus Primordial of the sky and your great Grandfather" the voice I now knew as Uranus said.

I thought back to all the lessons Annabeth had told me and tried to think about what she had said about Uranus it was like a lightbulb went off in my head and I remembered all of it.

"Weren't you cut up into pieces so that you couldn't reform?" I asked

"Yes I was but as a primordial, I can heal and come back even if it takes a while. I just need to be reconnected with everything and then I can regain consciousness" he told me.

"So you need me to drop the sky," I asked "Precisely" he answered

"Okay I will do that soon but I need to wait for Kronos's army to amass itself up here so that when I drop the sky they will all be killed, but I need you to do something," I said

"And what would that be" Uranus asked skeptically

"When I drop it I need you to protect all the mortals in the city so that the blast wont affect them" I answered.

"That is fair. For a mortal, and a hero compared to others, you are remarkably selfless." Uranus told me.

"All I have in this world are my friends and family I want to protect them at all costs my life isn't important just them"I told him

"You do realize that the whole first part of that statement was almost the definition of selflessness right" He asked

"Ohh" was all I could say. "I honestly didn't know what selfless meant but he didn't need to know that," I thought.

"We are talking telepathically you do realize I heard all of that" he asked me.

"Dang it," I said in response

Seeing as we have lots of time together do you mind telling me some stories about what has been happening in the world" Uranus asked.

"Sure," I said, And I proceeded to tell him about the current events in the Greek world.

Maybe this burden wasn't so bad when you had someone to talk to i thought

Chapter 3 is done. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Some pieces of the prophecy are kinda falling into place. Bianca will be going on this quest as Phoebe will still be poisoned by the Stolls. So just know that I did not forget about her.
