A/N: Joe's contact is gonna meet with the group and give out some earth-shattering information. I hope that you will be excited. I'll explain more at the end of the chapter.

Chapter Four: New Evidence

The five slept soundly through the night and it was just at the crack of dawn. Outside of Joe's door, a figure walked up to the door and started knocking on it. Inside the apartment, everyone started to stir from their rest from the repeating sound. Some rubbed the sleep from their eyes as they sat up. Another set of knocks came to the door and Joe got up as he said, "All right, I'm coming, I'm coming."

Everyone rose from where they were sleeping as Joe got up and walked over to the door. When he opened it, Joe was a little surprised to see, "Izzy? Hi. What are you doing here so early?"

"I got enough sleep before rushing over." Izzy said as Joe let him in. The other four noticed that Izzy was a young boy with reddish-brown hair, an orange overshirt over a green shirt, brown pants with many pockets and a pair of white shoes. Joe looked about before asking the boy, "Do your parents know that you're here?"

"Yeah, I told them right as I ran out." Izzy said before placing a bag on a clear spot on the table. Izzy then noticed not only his uncle Ford, but Goku, Chi-Chi and Gohan as well. Izzy looked to Ford and asked, "Sorry. I didn't know you had company over." Then he said to Ford, "Hey, Uncle Ford."

"It's okay, Izzy." Joe reassured while Ford slightly waved back. He then started to say, "But listen, about what we talked about-"

"Yeah, you won't believe what I've managed to uncover." Izzy said and removed a laptop from his bag. Joe was about to stop him when Izzy said, "I did a quick check on those readings and you won't believe what I found. The readings from fifteen years ago, I got another set of readings and they're exactly the same."

"Yeah, I saw." Joe said as he remembered seeing them. But with a shake of his head, "But it's-"

"Plus, there's something really weird about them." Izzy said when the laptop fully turned on. The others gathered around him as he waited for the computer to start up. He pulled up a few different images and Joe saw that they were indeed like the readings that he had seen at the time of the incident.

(Cue Broly on the Frontier track from DBS: Broly)

"So, what does this mean, exactly?" Goku asked, feeling a little confused. Izzy then explained, "Whatever is causing these readings is practically the same, but they're a little different from what was reported fifteen years ago."

"They are." Joe agreed as he looked at the graphs on the laptop. Ford noticed the look in his father's eyes and asked, "Dad, what are you thinking?"

"And I did some digging on the people that took over the site." Izzy cut in. He quickly pulled up more files on different people. The three time travelers happened to notice Ishiro and Vivienne popping up, but stayed silent as the boy said, "I tried to find something out about these people, but every trail is vague or a dead end.

"Plus, I've managed to find some shipping manifests of all kinds of equipment heading to the quarantine zone." The young boy added and pulled up the files.

Even Ford couldn't deny that this sounded quite odd to him. But he was pulled out of his thoughts when his father moved to pick up his coat and put it on. Ford questioned his father, "Dad, what are you doing?"

"I'm heading back out there, Ford." Joe said while putting on his coat. Izzy spoke up, "Are you sure that's such a good idea? My mom and dad heard about your arrest and it's made them worried about you."

"It's going to be fine, Izzy." Joe promised him. But Ford was against it as he moved to stand in his father's way, "No, I don't think so. I don't think you should try.

"Besides, we talked about this last night." He disagreed with his father. But Joe shook his head, "Just let move prove it. All I need is one hour, in and out of there."

"I'm not sure that this is going to work." Izzy shook his head. Ford gestured to the kid and said, "Listen to the boy genius, Dad."

"I have to go!" Joe insisted, surprising a lot of people in the apartment. Becoming frustrated he said, "I came back here and wasted six years of my life staring through that barbed wire, thinking that it was a military mistake or some horrible design flaw that they were trying to cover up."

He sighed as he calmed down and walked up to the window of the apartment. From his spot Gohan then asked, "How would you know that something is up over there?"

"Well, one day I met this guy who runs a cargo boat offshore." Joe started to explain. Ford glanced around at more of the papers while his father was moving around. Joe walked around the apartment and gathered some papers as he continued, "Every day he goes right past the reactor site. And so he places a couple of frequency monitors on buoys for me."

"And then I take a look at the readings that come to my laptop." Izzy brought up, gesturing to his laptop. Then gesturing to Joe he said, "I let him know about two weeks ago that something was happening. I wasn't sure at first, but then Grandpa Joe took a look into it."

"Yeah, when I took a look at it just for the kick in the teeth." Joe nodded. He sounded astounded when he said, "But when I was told, two weeks ago, I tuned in and then I hear it.

"I'm hearing the thing that they're so closely guarding." Joe said to them. He shook his head, "Whatever "it" is that's down in there. The thing that they're guarding so carefully. It's started talking again."

Goku, Chi-Chi and Gohan had a feeling that they knew of what it was. Joe gave a small laugh as he continued to get ready. With a sigh Ford then asked, "Why can't you just let it rest?

"Why do you have to be so obsessed with this?" He questioned, not understanding why. Joe adopted a guilty look on his face when he said, "Because I sent her down there, son.

"I'm the one who asked your mother to go down there." He shook his head, sitting down in a chair. Goku and his family felt sympathetic towards them as they slightly understood what was being told. Izzy then spoke up, "But it's not your fault about what happened, Grandpa Joe.

"She wouldn't want you to blame yourself." He added, with Ford agreeing with a nod. But Joe seemed convinced with himself as he said, "Only that this wasn't a reactor meltdown. That isn't what killed my wife."

"I don't want to hear any of this." Ford shook his head, starting to get fed up with the going in circles of the conversation. Joe understood this and said, "I know. I know you don't.

"But you can't keep running away. You know that. I know you do." His father shook his head. Ford took in a deep breath as he seemed to be thinking about it. He turned to the three and asked, "What about you guys? Since everything seems to be going the wrong way."

(Cue Dragon Ball Super: Broly Theme from DBS: Broly)

"Actually, where we're going is in the same direction." Gohan told them, earning some questioning looks from Joe, Ford and Brody. The half-Saiyan then explained, "We think what we're looking for is in Janjira."

"Are you ever gonna be totally honest?" Ford questioned, feeling like his father, Goku and his family were messing with him. His outburst startled Izzy a little. But Ford didn't seem to notice. Goku then assured, "We can look after your dad while we're out there."

"I think you've done-" Ford started to say. But Joe stood up and said, "Ford. Whether we like it or not, these people are somehow a part of what's going on.

"And if they're willing to help me, then I'll take them with me." He added, moving between the family of three and his son. Ford's father sighed before saying, "If I can get that evidence, not only I can I finally put it all to rest, but maybe it'll give me some closure as well."

"Uncle Ford?" Izzy asked, wondering what he was thinking. Ford turned away, looking like he was wrestling with this in his mind. Taking in a deep breath, Ford sighed before turning back to them. Looking to his father he asked, "If I help you with this, succeed or fail, will you come home?

"No ands, ifs or buts about it?" He asked, looking quite serious. Joe looked like he was wanting to protest, but in the end he nodded in agreement. Turning to the family of three he asked, "You really think what you're looking for is in Janjira?"

Goku, Chi-Chi and Gohan all nodded in agreement. Ford then nodded, "Then I'll help."

While Joe and the Son family seemed a little pleased that things were going in the right way, Izzy still had some doubts as he spoke up, "But what if you get caught again? My parents nor anyone else that we know will be able to get you guys out of jail for a second offense."

"We'll think of something, Izzy." Joe said as moved over to the door. Ford then said, "I guess say hey to your parents and the others for me, okay."

"Uh, okay." Izzy said, still looking unsure of what they were doing. But as he got up from the chair and started for the door, he looked back to them and said, "I still don't think that this is a good idea. But maybe if you're lucky, then I hope you all find what you're looking for."

"Thanks, Izzy. And I do apologize for putting you in the middle of all this." Joe apologized. Izzy sighed and said, "I just don't know how the others will take to me keeping a secret like this."

"Well, if all goes well, I'll tell them that it was my idea to ask for your help." Joe promised with a nod. While it didn't seem to put Izzy to ease that much, he did give a hopeful smile before walking out the door. After Joe closed it behind him, he turned to the others and Gohan asked, "So, where do we go from here?"

"Well, first…" Joe said as he moved back over to the table. Looking between them he said, "We need to get some gear for all five of us.

"And luckily I know a guy who can hook us up." He said with a grin. Turning his head in Ford and Goku's direction he continued, "We'll meet with my boat guy and have him give us a ride to the Q zone."

"Then let's get started." Goku enthusiastically said while punching his fist into his palm.

Author's Note: I do apologize for being away for this for so long. I'm going to be working on Rescue and hopefully be done by the time The New Empire comes out to theaters. I mean, I was able to get History done in time for GvK after all. Now, the reason for Izzy and the other Digidestined are appearing in this is because I thought it would be fun to make the DVM story a bit more exciting with more heroes and villains from various worlds. Plus, by bringing the Digidestined and their Digimon into the modern day, around 2014, it also allows me to line something else up with the first Legendary movie. I have different things planned for the other stories that are tied in with History and Rescue, but you'll have to wait and see for those. I know there are a lot of people who may or may not have an idea, but maybe you can guess what's about to happen. And I'll be sure to explain it in a later chapter.
