A/N: I was gonna start off with a prologue for this story, but it didn't stick with me at all. And I'm gonna do something that hardly anyone else does. But you'll have to read and see.

Chapter One: Gifts All Around

The cold vacuum of space was practically lifeless, but that didn't mean that things didn't happen. As it turned out there was motion going on at the moment as a comet passed by the sun. Once it had passed around the sun, the comet continued its cycle as it was flung into the depths of space. Elsewhere, giant asteroids crashed against each other and broke into much smaller asteroids. One such asteroid was sent hurtling through the vacuum towards a new destination. It flew along with some other meteors that crashed into the moon while the one meteor flew past it towards the planet behind it.

Narrator: Many eons ago, when the Earth was still young,

Millions of years before the first humans, before was the age of the great lizards…

The Dinosaurs

The meteor soon descended upon the world and erupted in fire as it came closer to the ground. As some dinosaurs looked up to see the rock falling from the sky, others quickly moved away to avoid getting hit by it. When the dust settled, two figures approached the site. The meteor was glowing between the colors of green and orange. The meteor had been reduced to the size of human hands. The two figures picked up one of the rocks and used a vine to tie the rocks around their necks.

Narrator: These massive creatures roamed the earth for thousands of centuries.

Some ate plants…

While others, the dreaded Sharpteeth, ate meat.

When the meteor finally landed, it created a huge explosion that sent many a dinosaur running in fright. Two brave dinosaurs, a couple of sharpteeth, remained where they were when the flaming rock fell from the sky. Once they didn't sense any danger coming their way, the two parents looked down to the egg sitting on the footbone of a deceased dinosaur. The light brown sharptooth leaned down to nuzzle the egg. The other more darker scaled sharptooth went off to find food. When he stood at the top of a hill, the Sharptooth let loose a terrifying roar to the world.

Narrator: But the plant-eaters found refuge from their predators

In one special place…

The Great Valley

In a place where there was hardly any worry about the sharpteeth on the other side, a group of friends were enjoying themselves. A group mixed of dinosaurs, humans and aliens.

Narrator: A place where friends…

A young brown male longneck stood next to the tree as he looked back and could see his friends. He smiled when he saw couple flying towards him.

Narrator: Littlefoot, the Longneck…

A young Kryptonian wearing a blue and red suit came flying over the longneck and touched down beside him. Looking back he saw another of their friends joining them.

Narrator: Clark, the Hardskin…

A young woman in magical Amazon red and blue armor landed right beside him. The three started walking along the path together to meet up with the others.

Narrator: Diana, the Godborn…

A young yellow female Threehorn ran up to a tree and butted her head against it. She fell on her backside and looked with a smile as a few fruits fell off the tree. The Threehorn looked up when a shape passed over her.

Narrator: Cera, the Threehorn…

A young Thanagarian in a yellow shirt and black pants landed beside her friend. She smiled when she saw the Threehorn smiling. The two friends when something sped by them.

Narrator: Shayera, the Wingback…

A red blur zipped through the trees before coming across the river. The fastest boy alive stopped before spotting a couple of his friends and ran over to them.

Narrator: Wally, the Faster Runner…

A little light green female Big Mouth Swimmer swam through the pond before jumping out of the water. She landed on the shore and shook herself dry. A smile adorned her face when she saw her friend speeding over before stopping next to her.

Narrator: Ducky, the Swimmer…

A shadow loomed over them and another young boy in black and gray attire dropped down next to them. The Dark Knight looked to his two friends before giving a slight smile.

Narrator: Bruce, the Batboy…

They all looked up when a smaller shadow passed over their heads. A young red Flier grabbed onto a frond before pushing off. The flier flew through the branches of a tree before coming in for a landing.

Narrator: Petrie, the Flier…

A fifth young boy in green and black attire landed on the ground before the Flier landed. His green aura faded and the boy looked up just as the Flier landed on his shoulder.

Narrator: John, the Ring Bearer…

Something phased through the ground in an open field before turning tangible once again. A young Martian in blue and red attire looked about before spotting a friend.

Narrator: Jonn, the Skinchanger…

A dark green male Spiketail stood at the edge of the field before taking a bite of the tall blades of grass. The Spiketail looked up as the Martian walked up to him and smiled as he ate. The Martian just shook his head with a smile from his friend's antics.

Narrator: And Spike, the Spiketail.

Jonn gestured for Spike to follow so they could meet up with the others. All twelve friends started to laugh as they ran or flew through the valley. The older dinosaurs watched as the children ran about having fun.

Narrator: They came to the valley together. They decided to be together and play together under watchful eyes of the dinosaur families.

And as they played one of their games, sometimes they also liked to sing…

Littlefoot: I can't wait to see you

Cera: See you

Petrie: See you

Ducky: See you

Clark: What's up today?

Shayera, Petrie and Jonn all flew up to some of the branches above them and started to shake some leaves from it.

Diana: Can you hear me calling?

Wally: Calling

John: Calling

Bruce: It's time to play

The group then ran or flew out of the forest when something else came to mind. They came by the river and decided to go swimming for a bit. Petrie and Shayera were the first to fall to the water and landed with a splash.

Everyone: Every cloud in the sky

Every leaf on the tree

Is reminding me of faraway dreams

Really do come true

Littlefoot was next and jumped off the edge of a rock. Clark was next and did a cannonball into the water. Diana held on to Ducky as they went in next. Cera stopped short of jumping when she saw how high it was. Spike, Jonn and John all jumped over her and fell into the pond. Wally came speeding up and tried to stop when he saw Cera, but didn't make it in time and knocked into her. The two friends fell into the water and when they surfaced with a pond lily on their heads and Cera gave a glare to Wally. But the fastest boy alive just laughed when he saw what was on their heads, and it made her laugh as well. Bruce watched from the side. He was caught off guard when Diana used her lasso to pull him in after them. When he surfaced, the other eleven friends all laughed as they swam over and it caused Bruce to gave a small smile as well.

Everyone: Come on, let's go

Let's go

And run around

Run around

After swimming, the twelve friends started running through the valley once again. They made sure to stay within sight of the grownups as they played about.

Everyone: What a beautiful feeling

We finally found our peaceful valley

And everyone's having a good time now

The group walked up to a rise where they could see most of the valley. Wally then said, "I could get used to a view like this."

"I know, right." Clark agreed as they sat down. Diana added, "Who knew that we'd have fun these past few weeks."

"And though we went through our own trials." John said before glancing to Shayera, "They were worth it."

"Littlefoot!" Grandpa Longneck's voice shouted in the distance. They all looked to where the voice was coming from as they heard the older Longneck shout, "Clark! Diana! John! Bruce! It's time to come home!"

"Seems like your grandpa needs us." John said as he and the four stood up. They were about leave when they heard another voice shout, "Cera! Shayera!"

"Ducky! Spike! Wally!" A feminine voice shouted after. Then a fourth voice, "Petrie! Jonn! Head on back!"

"Looks like we all gotta get going." Shayera said with a smirk. They all waved each other good by and started to head out. The five left and Littlefoot had a smile as he said, "We'll see you guys later."

"See ya, guys!" Petrie said as he and Jonn flew off. Shayera waved and Cera shouted, "Bye! See ya!"

"Goodbye!" Ducky shouted as she, Spike and Wally all left as well. The group embarked to their respective homes.

Everyone: Come on, let's go

Let's go

And run around, run around

Littlefoot, Clark, Diana, Bruce and John all ran through the trees to find Littlefoot's grandparents. Ducky, Wally and Spike stuck to the river that led to where the Swimmers usually nested. Cera and Shayera walked through a field before spotting Cera's father. Petrie and Jonn soon found themselves up at the Flier's overlook.

Everyone: What a beautiful feeling

We finally found our peaceful valley

And everybody's having a good time now

Littlefoot and his four super friends soon came walking beside Grandpa Longneck. Littlefoot looked up to his grandfather and said, "Hiya, Grandpa."

"Hello, Littlefoot." Grandpa Longneck said as he looked down to the young ones. Then he said, "Clark, Bruce, Diana, John. It's nice to see you as well."

"Likewise, sir." Clark said as they kids all slowed down. Grandpa Longneck then said, "Let's go and have us something to eat."

"Okay! I'm hungry!" Littlefoot said while licking his lips. John then asked, "Is there something for everyone?"

"Don't worry, John." Grandpa Longneck said with a chuckle. Then he reassured, "There's plenty for everyone."

"That's good to hear." Diana said. Bruce then added, "We'd better hurry to it. We don't know what's coming next."

Everyone looked to him with questioning looks. Bruce noticed them and said, "Sorry. Force of habit."

His friend's all chuckled as they continued on their way.

Shayera and Cera soon walked up the latter's father and Topps looked to the both of them. Even though he was thankful that Shayera was keeping his daughter out of too much trouble, the Threehorn didn't show it much by saying, "Took you girls long enough."

"Sorry, Topps." Shayera said while Cera looked between her father and her friend. Topps just huffed before gesturing with his head, "Come on, let's go find us some breakfast."

Cera and Shayera just looked to each other before following after the older dinosaur.

Wally, Ducky and Spike soon joined the two's parents next to their nest. Ducky's blood brothers and sisters were enjoying some swimming while Ducky's mother watched over the nest. Spike and Ducky stopped next to a tree that was full of green food. Wally smirked and said, "Allow me to help you guys out."

Since the boy was taller he was able to reach some of the branches. Then with his super speed Wally started to pluck the leaves from the branches and set them on the ground. But when he finished setting them down, he looked to the pile and became confused when they were gone. He and Ducky looked to Spike who was already munching on them. Wally looked to Ducky and joked, "Suddenly I can't tell who's faster; me or Spike."

Ducky started laughing to this and clutched her sides. Wally then zipped off to find more food for them and himself.

Jonn and Petrie quickly met up with the latter's family as they flew out of the overlook. Petrie looked to his mother and asked her, "So, where are we going to look today?"

"Near the cliff tops." She told him. Then she said, "Another Flier told me that they had some of the most delicious green food in the valley."

"I'm sure that it is good." Jonn said with a small smile. The family of Fliers and Jonn flew towards their destination.

Narrator: Of course, though the Great Valley was wondrous place,

it still had its dangers.

In a nearby bush somewhere in the valley it started to shake as to ominous looking figures rose out of it. And around their necks they wore brightly colored stones.

Author's Note: And I'm gonna end the chapter here and introduce the bad guys in the next chapter. I think you'll all see what they've got on their persons. I had to do it this way since you know who won't be making an appearance. I look forward to reading your reviews.
