Disclaimer: I do not own the characters of Wings of Fire and the story of The Lion King, only how the story goes. The characters from Wings of Fire belongs to Tui. T. Sutherland and the story of The Lion King belongs to Disney. The only thing I own are the OCs of the story. I apologize for any errors and/or if I was not accurate in reference to something.
A/N: We never do see what happens when Simba and Mufasa returns to Pride Rock after what happened at the Elephant Graveyard and after their little talk. I know that I didn't either, but for this one I'm going to give it another go.

Chapter Ten: A Princess' Punishment
Summer Palace…
It was a bit later into the night when Tsunami and Queen Coral returned to the Summer Palace. They swam through the opening and emerged in the large space underneath the canopy. They could see some bioluminescence glowing on one of the pavilions in the middle. With a flap of their wings, they jumped out of the water and flew up to it. When they reached the platform, they were all surprised to see King Gill, Anemone, Turtle and a few of the other princes still up. They all turned to find their mother and sister standing there. King Gill and Anemone rushed up to their loved ones while the boys followed behind them. Queen Coral was embraced by her husband while Tsunami was nearly knocked off her feet by her sister. The King of the Seawings backed up when he said, "I'm so sorry, Coral. I hadn't known they were going there."
"They are all safe now. That's all that matters at the moment." Queen Coral said to get him to calm down. King Gill took a deep breath and they both looked to the two princesses. Anemone and Tsunami looked up to their parents and waited to see what they had to say. Their mother looked to their father, and she asked him, "I feel that Riptide's parents have no doubt given him a suitable punishment for him when they learned of the three's adventure?"
"Oh, they most certainly did. His mother was giving him a lecture while Webs dragged him off by the horns." King Gill nodded, and it made Tsunami wince at the thought of Riptide getting in trouble because of her. She knew that she would have to make it up to him somehow in whatever way she could. But the elder princess knew she needed to take care of what was going on now. Stepping forward she said, "Before you decide something for the both of us, I just need you to know that this was all my idea.
"I just dragged Anemone and Riptide along for the ride. I take full responsibility and will take hers as well." She said, willing to take the full brunt of the punishment. This made the two older Seawings look to their daughter. While they did find it admirable, Queen Coral still said, "While I do appreciate that, I'm afraid that it won't be enough.
"The two of you are confined to the Summer Palace until further notice. And I don't want to hear any complaints about this." She decided and Gill nodded in agreement to this. The two closed their eyes as they accepted their punishment. Their mother then said, "You two will be focusing more on your studies in school and with me."
"Yes, Mother." Tsunami and Anemone said together. Queen Coral looked between her two daughters, her husband and many sons and said, "I think it's time we all turned in for the night."
"Yes, ma'am." Everyone nodded in unison. With a gesture of her head, she told them, "All of you off to bed now."
Tsunami, Anemone, Turtle and their siblings all moved to head towards their sleeping quarters. Queen Coral and King Gill remained behind and watched them go. When they all had jumped off the platform and were gone with a multitude of splashes, she turned to her beloved and asked, "Do you suppose I should have at least taken her a little close to the island so she wouldn't be so curious."
"From a distance, but not directly to the island itself." Gill shook his head. Glancing about the inside of the Summer Palace he said, "We both promised that we would tell her about Orca and the island but never go back there.
"It's why we have patrols keeping an eye on it." He reminded and placed his talons over hers. Queen Coral took in a deep breath as a million things were running through her mind. She sighed when she said, "We'll have to come back to this later.
"We have a meeting with my brother and the rest of the council in the morning." She reluctantly reminded him. It was his turn to sigh and the two headed off to bed themselves.

Desolate Isles…
Over on the island of the Scavengers, Shark was still conversing with the ocean faring people. They walked through the ruined fortress as they tried to come up with another plan. Moving into the room where he had found them in, Shark turned to the three in charge. Tes asked him, "So what's the plan now?"
"The princesses will not be allowed to leave for some time since they were rescued." Shark deduced of what may have happened. He turned away from the three as he tried to think. The Seawing then assumed, "I'll have to wait a few days, but perhaps I can bring at least Tsunami out then.
"And this time, it'll be on the Island of a Thousand Tunnels." He decided when looking back to them. Bil questioned this plan, "And what if we're the ones to get lost?"
"Which is why you're going to go there earlier and make a way out so you will not get lost." Shark emphasized when he walked up to the male Scavenger and leaned dangerously close to him. Bil nervously laughed and pointed to the Seawing, "Oh! R-Right."
"Hm." Shark snorted a blast of air in the Scavenger's face. Bil coughed and tried to wave the smell away from him. Shark raised his head and said to Tes, "Once I have Tsunami there, create a little mayhem to keep her occupied."
"And how exactly do you want us to do that?" She questioned. The Seawing reminded her, "The Island of a Thousand Tunnels is mostly loose dirt with heavy stones buried in them. The whole place is liable to come down if one is not careful.
"I want you to use your powers to cause slight cave ins. Just to keep the princess occupied until I bring the Queen." He planned for the day. Tes reassured him by saying, "We'll be ready, Shark."
"Good." Was all the Seawing said and turned to leave. Walking through the hole in the wall, the sea dragon opened up his wings. He glanced back to the three and said, "I will send word when I am ready."
"We look forward to the coming changes." Tes said while Bil and Greg nodded in agreement. Shark didn't say anything as he turned his head away and took off into the air. The three Scavengers rushed up to the opening and watched as the Seawing flew away from the fortress.

Summer Palace…
The next day started just about like any other in the Kingdom of the Sea. After their lessons in history, math and science, Tsunami and Anemone joined the usual group of classmates for Aquatic. They sat at the front of the group with Riptide and Turtle. While trying to pay attention to Whirlpool's lesson, Tsunami cast a quick glance to Riptide. He wasn't looking at her and she wondered if he was trying to pay attention or might be mad with her. It had been pretty much this way since their lessons had started. She would try to talk to her after class was over. Turning her attention back to the teacher, she copied the flashes like her siblings and other students.
Soon the Aquatic lessons were over, and Whirlpool dismissed them. With a wave of his talons he said, "Practice what you've learned for there will be a quiz in two days."
That earned a lot of groans from all the students. Whirlpool narrowed his eyes to this behavior, but nonetheless let them go. But just as Tsunami started to follow the others, she heard Whirlpool say to her, "Be sure to keep yourself in check, Princess."
"What?" Tsunami asked and looked back to the teacher as he looked over some papers. She walked over him and asked again, "What did you say?"
"Oh, I was just talking about how you seem to have a knack for getting yourself into trouble." He commented with a shrug. She wondered if he had heard something about what happened yesterday.
Tsunami wanted to say something to him, but she decided against it. She turned away and walked after her friends and family. They retreated down to a lower pavilion to relax from their studies. Tsunami looked around for Riptide and saw him sitting at the farthest edge of the pavilion. Making her way around her siblings and the other students, she slowly approached him. Sitting down next to him, Tsunami said, "Hey."
"Hi." Riptide said while turning to her. The princess sighed and said, "I wanted to apologize for getting you into trouble. I didn't mean for you to get a lecture or pulled away by your horns.
"How much trouble are you in?" She asked, hoping it wasn't too severe on him. Her best friend told her, "Only from here to school am I allowed to go. If I have to go anywhere else, I have to remain either by mother or father's side. And I have a huge list of chores on my claws."
"Sorry." She offered, feeling pretty bad about it. He shrugged and said, "It's okay.
"Not the first time I've been in trouble, so I'll survive." He chuckled a little. Then he reminded her, "Plus, I did agree to go with you."
"Yeah, but-" Tsunami started to say. She was cut off when he said, "No buts. You, Anemone and me, we all chose to go. We broke rules and we all stick together even when things get rough."
"Hm." Was all that Tsunami could say. He lightly nudged her with his wing, and she smiled when she lightly nudged him back. They looked behind them when someone asked, "So, are we all good?"
Anemone walked up to them and both Riptide and Tsunami nodded to tell her that they were.

Council Meeting…
Up on one of the higher pavilions, Queen Coral, King Gill, Commander Shark, Scuttle and a few other Seawings were sitting together. There was a total of ten members there. They had just finished going over some reports as one said, "And with that, I think this meeting is adjourned."
"Not quite." Another said, earning the attention of the court. They all looked to a younger Seawing when he said, "I believe that we must discuss the fact that three dragonets consisting of your daughters and the son of history teacher Webs has gone to the Desolate Isles."
"Yes, and apparently made contact with the Scavengers there." Another agreed with him. Queen Coral, King Gill and Scuttle all look to each other with slight surprise at how they knew that. They didn't know how they knew but would try to figure it out. Her majesty turned her attention back to the council and said, "Yes, my daughters and Webs' only son foolishly went to the Desolate Isles after I had warned Tsunami not to go. And she had convinced her sister and her friend to go with her as well."
"Are we to expect that the princess has potentially reignited the war with the Scavengers?" Another council member asked, looking a little worried. The question caused some of the other council members speak amongst themselves. The Queen's majordomo tried to get the council to quiet down, "Everyone! Everyone! Please settle down!"
The sea gull's words didn't seem to reach them as they kept murmuring to themselves. Growing annoyed with everyone starting to speak over themselves, Queen Coral roared to get them to quiet down. The other council members looked to their queen with wide eyes while Shark had a slightly amused grin on his face. Looking between them, she said, "The situation has been handled. There were no casualties from either our side of the Scavengers'."
"Not that any of us wouldn't be happy if they were gone." A council member muttered to another, which earned a nod of agreement from them. But they both shrunk under the Queen's gaze, and they immediately shut up. Queen Coral then informed the council, "I have given the appropriate punishment to the princesses.
"She nor her sister will not be allowed to leave the Summer Palace without the accompaniment of an escort. At least until the king and I deem fit for them otherwise."
This caused a round of talks through the council as they seemed to approve. The only one who remained silent was Shark as his sister's words got him thinking. He felt that he could use this to his advantage in claiming the throne for him and his daughter. He just had to make sure that all the pieces would fall into place for the plan to work. Which means getting Princess Tsunami alone after getting word to the Scavengers. But Shark had confidence that he could do it.

Author's Note: Okay, I know that a lot of people probably aren't too excited about the new Mufasa movie, but I for one honestly am. Given the way that they're telling this story and how things were really different before the events of Simba's story, it makes me wish that this was the story that they had told back in 2019. With the same animation of how they're doing it. And I know that I cut it off and didn't have it to where Shark convinces Tsunami to go, but I'll do something about it in the next chapter. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.
