Chapter Twenty-One: The End of the Battle

When the tide of the battle seemed to shift to the bad guys' favor, two more heroes, the Mighty Twins, step onto the battlefield to lend a paw. A group of people were flying high over the clouds. The Saiyan in the orange Gi, Son Goku, his son in the purple Gi, Son Gohan flew alongside the Namekian in a similar Gi as Son Gohan, Piccolo. They were on their way to meet up with a friend who said she had something to show them.

After a freak accident, Goku wakes up to find himself somewhere entirely new. Soon he is met by a bewildering sight, a boy accompanied by dogs who can talk.

There is nothing we can live through, nothing ever dies, we will rise again!
Goku, Ryder and the Pups all take the time to get to know each other. From having fun like telling stories to responding to emergencies. Goku helps the Pups by catching a falling Alex when he fell out of a tree.

Goku, Ryder and the Pups all stood outside the Lookout and saw that a new kind of trouble was brewing. A large shadowy figure stood ominously over Adventure Bay. But the nine looked to each other with grins before charging into action.
Vic Mignogna: We can't find paradise
All we have to do is go! Go! Free your soul!
Standing in a circle, the pups all unleashed their auras from their Mighty powers. In the center of the circle, Goku transformed into a Super Saiyan. Then all eight of them unleashed pillars of their power into the sky.
Vic Mignogna: Dragon Soul!
Soon, Goku, Marshall, Chase, Skye, Rocky, Everest, Rubble, Zuma and Ryder all stood together and posed for a picture with smiles on their faces.

(Flashback)
A good while ago, a well built, underbudget rocket had been launched from the beach of Adventure Bay. It flew towards the stars just as a large meteorite was flying across the heavens itself. The two ended up colliding with one another. The rocket was completely smashed while the meteor was sent crashing to the Earth below. And as it entered the atmosphere, chunks caused by the collision broke away from the main space rock and flew off in different directions. The main portion of the meteor headed straight for Adventure Bay while many other pieces headed off in different directions. The large portion of the meteor came closer and closer to the small town until it crashed against the beach, leaving a large groove in the sand behind it before coming to a stop.

The air was tense with conflict as the two sides rushed towards one another. Goku and the Copycat went flying high into the air in a frenzy of blows while Ryder and Everest dodged Harold's attack. Tuck jumped as he shrunk down and Ella allowed him to jump from her head to the Ladybird. Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma and Skye all went up against their feline look-a-likes. Paws and hands glowed with either meteor energy or by the power of Ki.
Up high into the air, the Copycat fired his orb of green and red energies and added a little lightning to it. With a yowl he flung it towards the Saiyan. Goku created an orb of his own Ki and throwing it to meet the feline's attack. The two spheres collided with one another and the resulting explosion created a large cloud of smoke. The Copycat flew right in and by applying some of his wind powers to his claws he tried to use a swipe of his claws on Goku. But he became shocked when the claws blew away the smoke to reveal that the Saiyan had moved. The Copycat was taken by surprise when he felt Goku's arms wrap around him. Goku had the feline in a bit of a headlock to try and keep him immobilized. The Saiyan didn't look too happy when he said, "You need to give this up."
"Like I'd ever listen to an oaf like you." The Copycat growled when he glanced back. He started to gather his strength when he said, "If only I had done something to make that machine at the recycling center more powerful.
"You'd hardly be a problem now." His words made Goku's eyes widen. But his shock ended up costing him as the Copycat created a yellow barrier around him and had made it expand. Goku lost his grip on the Copycat and the feline quickly moved away before dropping the barrier. Goku glared at the villain, "So you were the cause of why everything had happened then."
"Yes, I was trying to rid myself of those annoying Pups. I hadn't counted on someone like you being there." Copycat shook his head. Stretching his paws out he shouted, "Something I plan on rectifying right now!"
With a yowl he launched slashes of air towards the Saiyan. Goku immediately countered this by bringing his arms in before unleashing a blast of air. The bigger blast of air knocked the waves of air back and Goku rushed up to the Copycat. The two once again went at it with the Copycat trying to slash at Goku while Goku managed to defend himself by knocking the paws away.
Down below, Ryder and Everest were doing their best to avoid whatever Harold levitated and threw at them. The lavender husky also kept themselves by using her freeze breath and stopping the projectiles. Ryder flew in and tried to restrain Harold, but the blonde child prodigy managed to get out of the way. Everest joined her friend and she looked to him, "He's moving too much and we can't dodge forever."
" We need to do something to stop their powers." Ryder said as he tried to think of something. Everest tackled him out of the way, "Look out!"
Harold had dismantled the robot he created earlier and chucked the Pups' vehicles at them. They managed to move out of the way of some of them, but Skye's helicopter and Rocky's recycling truck were coming down at them. Acting fast, Everest spun around and with a swish of her tail she created a dome of ice to protect her and Ryder. They both cringed when the two vehicles slammed into the dome. The icy protection crumbled around them and they looked to see Harold picking them up again. Everest tried to stop him with a blast of air, but Harold managed to bring the vehicles before him to take the brunt of the attack. With a yell he launched them forward again.
Over with the Mighty Twins and the Ladybird, Tuck was currently crawling around her body and tickling the thief as he went. The Ladybird comically became a bit of a spaz as she tried to get Tuck off of her. But the distraction allowed Ella to come in and knock her off her feet by barreling into her by growing a little. The Ladybird cried out as she fell to the ground and both twins quickly moved away from her. Both Golden Retriever twins cheered as Tuck grew back to normal size and gave each other some paw. The thief growled as she started to get back up and gasped before quickly flying out of the way of Ella's enlarged paw when the Golden Retriever tried to swat at her. The Ladybird was quick to come back and effortlessly pushed the paw to the ground and Ella tried to pull the appendage back. The Ladybird laughed when she said, "Looks like you need a hand.
"Or a paw." She cackled from her own joke. Tuck was quick to come to his sister's aid by running up, "I have that covered."
He jumped as he shrunk down again while leaping at the thief. Using his altered strength, he managed to knock the Ladybird off of his sister's paw before landing on Ella's head. The Ladybird fell onto her back and she looked to the two Pups with a glare. Jumping off of Ella's head, Tuck grew back to full size and questioned the thief, "Don't you ever get tired of this?"
"Yeah, you should just quit now. None of this is worth it." Ella agreed when she shook her head. The Ladybird rose to her feet and said, "I won't stop until I have every shiny thing in the world for my reflection collection.
"Not even you Pups will stop me from realizing my dream." She shook her fist at them. Rising up into the air she flew right at them. Both Pups quickly jumped out of the way to avoid being rammed into.
Over with the twelve, both Pups and kittens were evenly matched in their struggles. When Chase zipped around, the kitten was right on his heels. Marshall and his feline look-a-like created a dome of heat and neither one seemed to be able to best the other. Rocky created a screwdriver made from green energy and was in a bit of a sword fight with the kitten's saw. Skye and the kitten flew through the air and shot spheres of wind at the other. Zuma and his feline had raised up on their back paws and were lashing out water whips from their paws. Rubble was trying to keep himself from hurting the little kitten as it tried to use its super strength on him. The Bulldog shook his head, "Aw, come on, itty bitty kitty. I don't wanna hurt you."
But the kitten didn't seem to share the same sentiments as it slammed its paw on the ground and created cracks in the ground. Rubble yelped before running away from the cat. The six Pups reconverged and formed a circle with their backs facing each other. The six kittens started coming closer and their paws started glowing. Slightly turning his head, Chase glanced to his friends and asked, "What do we do? We're evenly matched with the same powers."
"If only thewe was a way to know how they got theiw powews back." Zuma shook his head. Rocky finished what his friend was saying, "Yeah, because we know that they didn't do it like we did."
"What about their new tags?" Marshall asked and pointed a paw to their collars. He shook his head, "I don't recall seeing them where those before. Just smaller knock offs of our pup packs."
"Wait a minute." Skye said as she thought of something. Quickly glancing over to the other three fights she looked closely. While Copycat didn't have one, both Harold and the Ladybird did. Looking to the Fire Pup she said, "Marshall, you're a genius!"
"I am?" Marshall comically asked, wanting to know what his brilliance was. Skye then said, "The kittens, Harold and the Ladybird are all wearing the same tags. They never wore those before when they had their own chunks of the meteor."
"That might be where the energy is being stored, considering that they didn't lose their powers when the meteor went dark earlier." Rocky deduced, figuring it was their best bet. Rubble then asked, "So we just need to destroy their tags and badges, not the actual person or cat?"
"That's it!" All five of the other Pups shouted in unison. Chase then looked to the Bulldog and ordered, "Rubble, make the ground shake a bit!"
"You forgot to say please." Rubble said with a bit of a cheeky grin. Chase, Marshall and Zuma all had unamused looks while Rocky and Skye shouted, "Rubble!"
"Okay! Okay! I'm on it." Rubble complied and started stomping the ground with his paws. The cats all cried out from the shaking and fought to stay standing. Seeing an opportunity, Skye looked to Chase and said, "Let's go tell Ryder, Everest and the twins."
"You got it, Babe." Chase nodded with a wink before realizing what he just said. This earned some looks from the others as Skye asked, "What did you call me?"
"I mean dude. You got it, dude." Chase said with a nervous grin. To save himself from further embarrassment Chase zipped off to go and find Ryder. Skye quickly formed a mini-tornado to fly to the twins. The super powered kittens noticed this and were about to take off after them when Zuma created a wall of water to keep them contained. The six kittens looked back to the four remaining Pups and Marshall asked, "How do we handle them?"
"Like the team we are." Rocky confidently said as they got themselves ready. The Kitastrophe Crew rushed right for the Mighty Pups as Marshall, Rubble, Rocky and Zuma yelled to meet them head on.
Up high into the air, Goku and the Copycat were still going at it as the Copycat fired multiple green energy spheres at Goku. The Saiyan flipped, twirled around or swatted each projectile that came his way. The Copycat growled before summoning a lot of electricity together and combining it with the green energy to form a destructive beam from his paws. Goku quickly countered this with a small beam of Ki. The two attacks collided against each other and it created a struggle of awesome powers. The collision lasted for a second more before becoming an explosion that one could see from a good distance.
Back on the ground, Ryder and Everest were regrouping with the twins. Both Harold and the Ladybird were right behind them. But the quartet didn't have to worry about the duo when Skye and Chase came up to them. Ryder looked to them and asked, "What's going on, guys?"
"Ryder, we figured out how at least a majority got their powers back." Chase told him. Tuck glanced to the German Shepherd while being wary of their two foes, "Really? How?"
"It's those tags that they're wearing." Skype pointed to Harold. Ryder took a closer look at Harold's costume and saw the forementioned tag. Knowing what they needed to take care, Ryder looked to the two and said, "Go and help the others and have them bring the Kitastrophe crew over."
"Got an idea, Ryder?" Everest asked before using her freeze breath to keep Harold and the Ladybird back. The boy nodded, "I sure do.
"Now please hurry." Ryder said to Chase and Skye. Both Pups nodded before quickly taking off. Harold and the Ladybird were greatly confused by this before the former taunted, "What's wrong, Ryder? Are your Pups feeling scared to face us?"
"Not in the slightest, Harold." Ryder shook his head with a slight glare. Even the Ladybird chuckled when she said, "Sure looks like they're running away to me."
"At least we know that we can have each other's backs." Ella retorted. Even Tuck agreed by saying, "Yeah, unlike you guys after what we say on the news when the fight started."
"But now we know your weakness." Everest smirked earning confused looks from the two villains. Harold just scoffed, "Enough talk. I believe we were mopping the floor with you."
"Exactly." The Ladybird agreed before the two rushed forward to attack them.
Over with the other Pups, they managed to hold their own against the kittens despite their numbers being less than theirs. Marshall jumped in front of the water wave that the Zuma look-a-like created a dome of heat around himself. The result created steam when the wave hit the dome. Zuma sprayed water at the kitten with the fire powers to keep it from using them. Rocky used his green energy to create a barrier around him and Rubble to protect them from the last four kittens.
But they were saved when something zipped by them and knocked the Rocky and Rubble look-a-like kittens off their feet. The Skye and Chase kittens were greatly surprised when a sphere of wind formed around them and kept them from moving. Marshall and Zuma were able to knock the ones that they were battling to the other kittens. Skye landed next to the four while Chase zipped up next to them. Rocky looked to them and asked, "What's the game plan?"
"Ryder wants us to bring these guys over to him and the others." Skye answered. Chase looked to the mixed breed and asked, "Think you can keep them detained long enough?"
"I'll try. Just keep them busy until I'm ready." Rocky shrugged before charging up his power. The other five Pups nodded before rushing towards the kittens. With a leap, Rubble landed between the Skye and Rocky look-a-like kittens before grabbing them and keeping them secure in a light bear hug. He gushed over how soft they felt, "Aw, your fur is kind of like a couple of soft brushes."
Skye managed to keep the brown and white kitten occupied by zipping around and making it dizzy as she went around in circles. The little kitten started to feel nauseated as it tried to follow her movements before falling to the ground with swirls in its eyes. Zuma created a small water puddle and waited as Chase herded the zipping kitty towards it. The Chocolate Labrador stepped back when the kitten stepped onto the puddle and meowed in surprise before falling off its paws. Zuma quickly created a wall of water to try and keep it from going anywhere for a little bit. Marshall managed to burn up anything that the Zuma look-a-like kitten threw at it before lightly bopping the thing on the head and knocking it out. The white kitten with black spots looked a little worried when the members of the Mighty Pups who weren't busy looked over to it. But it didn't have to worry when a green force field scooped it and the other five off the ground or out of Rubble's paws. The Bulldog groaned and asked, "Aw, couldn't we just wait a minute or two more?"
"Not the time, Rubble!" The other five shouted to keep him on track. Rubble quickly rushed to keep up with his friends.
Back with the four heroes against the two villains, Ryder and the Pups with him managed to turn the fight to their favor when the twins knocked the Ladybird into Harold. Both villains hit the ground and groaned as they picked themselves up. Everest looked to Ryder and said, "Looks like the trash is about to be sorted."
"A little more coming your way." Rocky corrected when he flung all six kittens to the two human villains. Harold and the Ladybird managed to catch all of them and looked to the heroes. Harold rolled his eyes when he said, "You know how many times you've had us in a pile and all that, there's not going to much of a difference this time."
"Oh, I think there will be." Ryder disagreed. Looking to Everest he said, "Mind giving them a taste of winter?"
"Don't mind if I do." Everest obliged him when she moved forward. Her paws glowed as she took a deep breath. The eight villains started to get back up and attack when she unleashed a mighty cold wind from her jaws. Harold, the Ladybird and the Kitastrophe Crew all braced themselves against the cold winds. Everest kept it up as long as she could. Marshall looked up to Ryder and asked, "So, what exactly was the plan again?"
"This." Ryder said. Pointing to the villains he said, "Chase, grab their badges while they're distracted."
"On it." Chase said before zipping into the frigid ice attack. Chase knew that he wouldn't have much time to get out of the icy winds. He zipped around the kittens first to try and avoid his allergies and managed to snag each of their tags from them. He quickly moved over to the two human villains to grab a hold of their tags as well.
But Harold managed to look up and saw the German Shepherd coming their way. He shouted to the Ladybird, "Move out of the way!"
The two humans jumped out of the freezing winds and avoided getting their badges taken from them. Seeing that they got away, Chase zipped back over to Ryder with what he managed to snag from the kittens. A sneeze came on just as Ryder took the badges. Everyone grimaced when Chase let it out, "Achoo!
"Sorry about that." The German Shepherd apologized while lightly rubbing his nose with his paw. Everest stopped her icy diversion and panted in exhaustion from it. Ryder wiped off his face before looking down at the six tags in his hands. Marshall then asked, "What now?"
"Now, this." Was all Ryder said before slamming the tags on the ground. The tags broke into many pieces and with them gone, the kittens' powers were no more.
Each one of the look-a-like kittens mewled in distress from the loss of their powers. Rocky then said, "And then there were three."
"How do you think Goku's doing so far?" Marshall asked as they and the villains all looked up into the air.
Up high in the sky, Goku and the Copycat were still going at it as they rushed forward, collided, separated before rushing towards each other again in a different spot. Each collision created a loud boom that made those on the ground wince.
Down below, Harold observed, "It would seem that with just the two of them that they're evenly matched."
"Then let's go give Copycat a hand, shall we?" Ladybird suggested before flying up into the air. The heroes gasped as the Ladybird grabbed Harold's hand before flying up into the air. They watched the two go and Chase said, "We can't let them reach Goku. He'll be outnumbered."
"I can go get them." Skye said and jumped into the air before forming her mini-tornado underneath her. She was about to go when Ryder said, "Wait! I've got an idea.
"Rocky, do you remember our first battle against Harold? When you used your energy to create a tool belt to carry the nonfliers of the group?" He asked him. Rocky nodded, "You want me to go with Skye?"
"Nope. I need Rubble with me this time." Ryder shook his head and looked to the Bulldog. Rubble nervously gulped and asked, "Me?"
"Just trust me. Your super strength are what we need to win against these two." Ryder said. Then he reassured his friend, "And don't worry, I'll be going up there too."
"O-Okay." Rubble said, feeling a little nervous about this plan. But he quickly adopted a look of determination to show that he was with Ryder. Looking to the Mixed Breed the boy said, "Okay, Rocky. Let's get to work."
"You've got it, Ryder." Rocky nodded before his paws started glowing. Sitting on his haunches, the recycling pup started moving his paws around and a green tool belt with a few pockets appeared. He held his paws in place and said, "Get going. I don't know how long I can keep this up."
"Got it, Rocky." Ryder gave his friend a thumbs up. Picking up Rubble, the boy placed the Bulldog in one of the pockets before igniting his own mode of transportation. Looking to the Cockapoo he said, "Let's get going."
"Right." Skye nodded in agreement. She grabbed a hold of the energy tool belt with her jaws and she and Ryder flew after the villains.
Up higher into the air, Goku had his arms crossed as he was blocking a violent stream of water from the Copycat. The feline sinisterly cackled from the onslaught when he got an awful idea. While one paw kept the stream going, the other started to glow a different blue and he shot an ice beam from his paw.
Goku saw the attack coming and quickly disappeared before he could get frozen. The Copycat huffed in annoyance before looking around and taunted the Saiyan, "You know you'll never beat me if you keep running."
"And who says I'm running." Goku countered while quickly zipping by. He managed to send the villainous feline tumbling a little before the Copycat was able to right himself. The Saiyan managed to do it a couple more times before the Copycat growled and formed a shield made of pink wind around himself. When Goku tried for a punch, the high winds pushed him back.
Down below, the Ladybird and Harold were closing in and the child prodigy started to use his powers to try and remove the periscope from the top of the Lookout. But before they could even think of attacking Goku, Ryder, Skye and her passenger flew up behind them. Skye spun herself around and her actions caused Rubble to be flung from the energy made tool belt.
Both Rubble and Ryder yelled as they flew towards the two villains. Harold and the Ladybird looked and gasped when they saw the two coming at them. Ryder managed to knock Harold from the thief's grasp while Rubble managed to grab onto the Ladybird's legs. She tried to shake Rubble off, "Ugh! Get off of me you mutt!"
"He's not a mutt!" Skye yelled from above as the tool belt faded. That didn't stop the Ladybird from trying and shake him off. Skye wanted to jump in and help, but she didn't know what to do without hurting Rubble.
Over with Harold and Ryder, both boys were grappling with each other as Ryder tried to go for Harold's badge. Harold managed to kick Ryder away before gleefully saying, "Ha-ha! Take that!"
It was then that he remembered that he didn't have anything to keep him up in the air at the moment and looked down. He nervously said, "Uh-oh."
Harold comically screamed and flailed his arms as he started falling for the ground. Ryder shouted, "Everest! Use your powers to create a way for Harold to land."
"On it." Everest said before using her paws to create a mound of snow for Harold to fall into. The villain landed in the powder with a thud and he groaned as he laid there.
Back up with Skye, Rubble and the Ladybird, the villainess had had enough as she leaned down and grabbed Rubble. She smirked as she lifted him by the scruff. The Bulldog struggled in her grip and shouted, "Skye, help me!"
"I got ya, Rubble." Skye nodded and created a mini-tornado and launched it at them. The Ladybird gasped and threw her arms up in the air and in the process launched Rubble up as well. The Bulldog cried out as he flew up in the air and Skye and Ryder gasped.
Up higher, Goku and the Copycat were panting from the all fighting. Both were suffering scratches and bruises while their outfits were looking a little worn as well. But before they could get back into the battle, they were confused when Rubble flew right by them and shouted, "Hey, guys! What's up?!"
"Rubble?" Goku asked as his friend went higher. Forgetting about the fight for a moment, Goku ignited his aura before flying after the pup. He managed to catch Rubble as the Bulldog started to come back down. Rubble breathed a sigh of relief and Goku asked him, "You okay?"
"Yeah, much better now. Thanks, Goku." Rubble said with an appreciative nod. The Copycat came flying up to them and screeched, "Don't turn your back on me just yet."
But before he could touch them, Goku and Rubble disappeared. The Copycat stopped and looked around for the two. With a ticked off look he yowled to the heavens.
Down below, Goku reappeared with Rubble in his arms just as Skye and Ryder joined them. Placing Rubble on the ground, the Saiyan looked to the rest of the team and asked, "I sensed a lot of energy dropping as I was fighting.
"What happened down here?" He asked as he looked between the boy and the Pups. Marshall explained it to him, "The Ladybird, Harold and the kittens all had these tags that gave them their superpowers. If we can get those last two badges, the Copycat will be the only baddie left to fight."
"Which reminds me." Ryder said when he looked over to the snow mound where Harold was laying. Pointing to the downed villain he said, "We need to get Harold's badge right now!"
"We'll get it." Ella and Tuck both said before rushing off towards Harold. Up in the air, the Ladybird reconvened with the Copycat when the feline gasped from what he saw. Pointing to their comrade he said, "Get that blonde oaf up here before those other two blonde oafs get ahold of him."
"But would it be a total loss?" The Ladybird questioned, trying to raise a good point. While he thought the contrary, the Copycat didn't want to lose any more of his side to the Mighty Pups and Goku. He nodded, "Just come on!"
They both quickly flew down to retrieve Harold while the twins were so close. The Copycat managed to stop them when he shot a large water ball in front of them. Ella and Tuck jumped back when the projectile landed before them and soaked them. They looked up with glares just as the Copycat started laughing at them.
The Ladybird continued to fly for Harold just as the child genius was coming around. When he opened his eyes, Harold saw the thief coming towards him with one of her arms stretched out. He quickly calculated the reasons why she was coming down so fast and her arm outstretched like it was. He gasped when he thought of her trying to steal his badge. She reached him before the twins and moved to get him off the ground. But Harold slapped her hand away and said, "Keep your mitts off of me!"
"What is wrong with you? I'm trying to help-" The Ladybird questioned when she tried to grab him again. But he grabbed her arm and tried to go for her energy badge. Seeing what he was about to do, she glared, "Oh, no you don't."
The two entered a bit of a struggle and the twins stopped running for them. They watched the struggling villains and Tuck asked his sister, "Uh, should we get in the middle of that?"
"I think it'll work itself out." Ella shrugged. And work itself out it did, for when both villains managed to grab the other's energy badge. But unfortunately for the two, their grip on the other's badges slipped and they fell to the ground. Both Harold and the Ladybird cried out as their energy badges fell to the ground pretty hard and broke into two, "No! Our energy badges!"
The Ladybird grunted when she fell to the ground and Harold pointed at her while laughing at her misfortune. She scowled before using a hand to trip him up and made him fall back into the snow. From up in the air, the Copycat could hardly control himself when he angrily said, "Are you two imbeciles kidding me?
"You couldn't stop squabbling even now?" He questioned and an eye twitched. The other heroes gathered around the Mighty Twins and Zuma said, "Well, I guess that's the end of those two."
"Yeah, but we're not done yet." Goku reminded and looked into the sky. Everyone looked to see the Copycat just hovering up there. Marshall looked to Ryder and asked, "Do you think that he'll just give up and run away like the other times?"
"I'm not sure, Marshall." Ryder shook his head when he looked to the Dalmatian. Goku squinted up at the feline before questioning, "What's he doing?"
Up in the air, the Copycat had one paw glowing red while the other green. He moved them over his head and a large energy sphere of the two colors started to form. And he poured more energy into what looked to be his last attempt to destroy the heroes. The heroes and the villains all gasped from how big that it was getting and Chase said, "How do we stop something like that?"
"I don't know. But we need to think of something fast." Skye said with worry. She became really scared when she said, "It's getting bigger by the second. And at this rate it could destroy Adventure Bay."
"I'll have to use my Kaio-ken technique to at least bounce it away from the town." Goku said and ignited his aura. He started to rise off the ground when Ryder nodded and said, "Be careful, Goku."
Goku gave a small grin as he nodded before looking up again. He rushed into the sky once more to stand between the attack and the town. The Copycat could see the Saiyan coming and with a scowl he said, "You will all fall to my superior mighty might."
With a yowl he launched the attack forward. The sphere slowly hurtled towards the town below. Seeing the he needed to hurry, Goku put on a burst of speed before stopping a few yards from the energy sphere. Bringing his arms to his side, Goku started to channel his energy just as the attack was a mere few feet away. With a determined look he shouted, 'Kaio-ken!"
His white aura suddenly turned its dark red hue and he felt his power rising. Then with a yell he launched forward and placed his hands against the side of the energy sphere. Goku could feel the heat emanating from the attack as it started to slow down. Knowing that the attack wouldn't go any further, Goku lashed out with his leg in a high kick to send the Copycat's energy sphere high into the sky. He, the Copycat and everyone below watched as it flew out of the orbit of the Earth.
When it was completely out of sight, the Copycat's shocked face turned into a scowl when he looked to the Saiyan. Goku looked over to the feline and said, "I wouldn't try anything like that again if I were you, Copycat. You can save yourself further embarrassment if you just surrender.
"I'll never surrender to the likes of you! Or those meddlesome Pups." Copycat angrily hissed as his pupils became feral. But Goku disagreed with him by saying, "You can't win this fight and you know it."
"The only thing I know is that you're a fool." The feline spat back. Goku became surprised when a grin formed on the cat's face and he said, "But I do thank your foolishness for allowing me an edge in this battle."
"What are you-" Goku started to question when the Copycat seemed to really focus. Goku could feel the Copycat's energy starting to climb before the villain shouted, "Kaio-ken!"
"Copycat, no!" Goku shouted, knowing that it was not only bad for his friends, but the Copycat as well. A red aura ignited around the feline and he cackled from the feeling of his own power rising. Goku became shocked from what he was seeing and he became greatly surprised when the Copycat came rushing at him. The Copycat lashed out his paw and socked Goku right in the face. The blow sent him careening towards the ground and his landing created a crater in the Paw Patrol's front yard.

King Kai's World…
The watcher of the North Galaxy shuddered when he saw what had happened. Bubbles looked to his friend and could see the worry on King Kai's face. King Kai trembled when he said, "This is terrible, Bubbles. That bad hairball the Copycat has managed to pull off the Kaio-ken technique in one go after watching Goku use it."
Bubbles gave a few worried grunts as he somewhat knew of the dangers. King Kai lifted his head back to the sky and hoped, "I sure hope that Goku is able to end to this battle before the Copycat manages to hurt someone or himself.
"Though its most likely to be the latter of that scenario." He guessed, given that the Copycat didn't know of the drawbacks from immaturely using the technique.

Paw Patrol's Earth…
"Goku!" His friends shouted and rushed over to the indention in the ground. The Saiyan coughed as he pushed himself off the ground and sat up. The others came closer and Chase asked, "What happened Goku?"
"Yeah, you managed to knock that attack back, but then the Copycat did something that sent you crashing to the ground." Everest added. Goku winced when he looked up to the sky and pointed, "Look."
They all turned to see the Copycat coming down from the sky. Ryder and the Pups all gasped when they saw the red aura around the Copycat. And even though he was a good distance away from them, they could see veins bulging underneath the feline's costume. Marshall looked to Goku and nervously asked, "Uh, isn't that your-"
"Kaio-ken?" The Copycat mockingly finished the question. Then he mocked, "Why yes, yes it is, you dumb mutt."
The insult earned him a collection of growls not just from Marshall, but the other Pups as well. Ryder helped Goku to his feet and the Saiyan warned, "Copycat, you need to stop using the technique right now."
"Oh, why ever for?" The Copycat questioned with a roll of his eyes, feeling that this was just a ploy to lower his guard. Goku shook his head, "Because the Kaio-ken isn't something to be taken lightly."
"Goku's right." Rocky agreed with his friend. Then he reminded, "The Kaio-ken isn't just something that can be pulled off right away."
"It takes training to be able to handle it properly." Chase added, remembering what Goku said. The Copycat scoffed, "Please, I'm using this Kaio-whatever with ease, so why would I think that it would be so bad?"
"Just because you managed to copy it, doesn't mean you know how to use it. Your body isn't used to it and it won't last long." Goku disagreed with a troubled look. The feline decided to prove them wrong by saying, "Then I'll just have to see what I can do with this technique before time runs out, eh."
Everyone gasped when he shot towards them with his claws outstretched. The Copycat manically cackled as he came closer. But just as he was halfway towards the group, he abruptly stopped. Everyone became confused as the red aura died down and the Copycat started to descend from the air. Goku looked closely and noticed that the bulging veins started twitching uncontrollably, his eyes rolling into the back of his head and everyone gasped at what they saw next. With a yowl of agony, the Copycat's body dropped to the ground as the bulging veins burst. Just about everyone screamed from the horror that they were seeing. Blood leaked from the busted veins, his nose, the corners of his mouth and his paws. The Copycat wheezed as he was laying on the ground and felt his body racked with pain. Tuck looked to the others and asked, "What happened to him?"
"The Kaio-ken was too much for his body. Like we said, it isn't a technique to be used lightly." Goku said as he walked up to the injured feline. They were all greatly surprised when they heard the Copycat wheeze, "Help me."
"You were warned of this Copycat." Goku said with a disappointed look. But he wasn't heartless when he said, "Someone go and get the last Healing Root, and hurry. He's fading fast."
"On it." Chase said before zipping into the Lookout. It was a moment later when he came back out with the bag with the root in his mouth. He handed it to Goku, and Goku opened up the bag and he took out the Healing Root. The Saiyan kneeled down to the hurting Copycat and asked, "Think you can swallow this Healing Root?"
The Copycat didn't say much but just weakly opened his mouth. Goku placed the root inside and the feline chewed before swallowing. A moment later, his eyes snapped wide open and the cat sat up. Goku then said, "You were lucky that we had that on us. You could have killed yourself by being so reckless.
"And now that you're going to be okay, we're gonna have to bring you in." He said while reaching for the cat. But the Copycat wasn't in a cooperative mood when he slashed at Goku with his claws. Goku managed to pull his hand back to avoid getting scratched and the Copycat spat, "You think just because you saved my life that I would just turn myself over? Think again."
He suddenly created a whirlwind that caused everyone to shield their eyes. When they opened them again, they gasped to see that the Copycat was gone. Everyone of the heroes looked around to see if they could spot the feline, but didn't see any sign of him. Ryder then asked, "Goku, can you sense him?"
"Give me a minute." Goku responded before trying to feel for the bad feline's energy. But he groaned when he couldn't feel anything, "He must have let his powers die down or something."
"And that whirlwind messed with the scent a bit, I'm afraid." Chase shook his head. Skye then shrugged, "Well, Copycat might have gotten away.
"But we did manage to catch everyone else." She said with a grin before looking to the scowling eight. A honking horn made everyone look to see the mayor's car pull up. She stepped out and waved, "Yoo-hoo, Paw Patrol."
"Hey, Mayor Goodway." Ryder greeted back. Mayor Goodway walked up to them and asked, "Is the fighting all over?"
"For now at least. The Copycat managed to get away." A disappointed Rubble shook his head. Mayor Goodway then said, "Well, that may be a disappointing development, but I think that we can worry about that later.
"For now, I'm here to round up this lot." She said and walked up to the depowered villains. Harold scoffed and asked, "What? You gonna take us to jail now?"
"Not in the slightest." Mayor Goodway shook her head. This greatly confused the group and Zuma said, "Mayow Goodway say what?"
"While I can't say much for the kittens, I'll have these two and Harold's naughty uncle help with the cleanup of our fair town." She explained and pulled out her phone. With a swipe of her finger she showed images of the damages caused by the three. Pointing to her car she ordered, "Now let's go. You have a lot to do to fix the mess you made while you had your superpowers."
"I guess I better help out too then." Goku stepped up. Gesturing to himself he said, "I was a part of that fight."
"Oh, I don't hold you accountable for this, Son Goku. You saving the citizens and our town was a big help. " Mayor Humdinger waved off. Looking to the two she said, "Now, let's get going. We need to get Mayor Humdinger so he can help you two out."
Both the Ladybird and Harold just groaned from this as they started walking.
Later…
Mayor Humdinger, Harold and the Ladybird were before Town Hall. Their first cleanup task was getting the Town Hall bell out of the once again crushed tulip bed. They were trying to lift the bell that had been knocked off of its perch during the fight. Releasing his grip, the mayor of the neighboring town questioned, "Why do I have to help with this?"
"Because stealing the meteor was your idea, Uncle Mayor." Harold replied with an annoyed look. Feeling offended, Mayor Humdinger looked to his nephew and said, "Oh, sure. Now give me credit after ditching me to play with your new pals."
"You were the one to give us the idea, you brainless twit." The Ladybird retorted as the two started to help her again. They all struggled to lift the bell from the flower bed.
From the side, Goku, Ryder and the Pups all watched as the three were working. They had the kittens locked up in their mobile carrier until the work was done. They looked away when they saw Hailey's van pull up. She got out and had a pen and notepad with her as she walked up to the group. Hailey walked up to them and said, "Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks again for fending off those supervillains and keeping the town safe."
"No, problem, Hailey. Whenever you're in trouble, just yelp for help." Ryder said with a grin. Hailey then asked, "Do you mind if I ask you some questions about the battle?"
"Sure." Ryder said and he and Hailey walked off. While Ryder was fulfilling Hailey's questions, Chase then said, "So, if that was the last of the Healing Roots…"
"What's gonna happen when we run into the next big bad?" Skye finished the question. The rest of the group looked unsure on how to answer this question.

Author's Note: The next chapter is a bit of a filler, plus something that wasn't originally planned is happening. What is it? Well, I guess you'll just have to wait and find out. And if I can talk about episodes like this, when I first saw it, I was like whoof, that was pretty bad. I mean a pretty neat concept, but bad lines, pretty bad pacing and the villains were really annoying. Like a lot more annoying than usual. I mean, their first outings were probably a whole lot better. But this is what happens when the writers and others on the team don't take the time to properly do things. I mean, there are probably fanfics that are much better than the episodes that we get now adays. And why, because they are better prepared and properly executed. I can't be the only one who doesn't notice this. Any who, I look forward to reading your reviews. Special Announcement: Okay, the thing that I was wanting to tell you guys is this. After giving it much thought and really wanting to do it, I am going to have the Paw Patrol Movie featured in this story. I was wanting to do it in the sequel, but I also wanted to do it this way as well. I may make a version to how I was wanting to do it, but we'll have to wait and see. However; the sequel movie is still going to be part of the sequel story. I'll think of something for that when I get to it. And since I'm going to be doing the movie with this story, then I'm gonna have to make a few changes for upcoming chapters as well. Starting with the next one actually.
