Well here we go, Celty get another pov

Chapter 11

It was about ten to six at night when Celty heard a knock on the door of their shared home, she and Shinra had been curled up on the coach watching one of the many alien documentaries she enjoyed while Shinra finished eating the food she had made him.

The headless women leapt up and quickly flashed her PDA screen in front of her companion.

"I'll get it, could be aliens, possibly those black eyed children I read about on the internet earlier, they are supposed to come at night, they could use weird powers to make you let them in and abduct you!"

"Um sure, whatever you say Celty darling, I'll wait right here." Shinra chirped happily, not understanding a word of her hurried text besides that she wanted him to stay and wait for her to get the door. He didn't really believe most of her alien superstitions but was happy to humor her imagination and wait patiently.

Celty was getting a weird feeling from what was behind the door, but when she swung it open she was met with her friend Shizuo and a small black kitten curled in his arms.

"Aa hey Celty, is Shinra in, I was wondering if he would take a quick look at this little guys wounds." The blond gestured to his kitten in his arms.

The dullahan didn't move right away, her gaze locked on the kitten, something was wrong with it, it felt like she was looking at a corpse rather then a living animal, a corpse being puppeted around by an outside force in a grotesque imitation of life. It was disturbing yet she felt some sense of familiarity, but she quickly recovered deciding the cat wasn't an immediate threat and she would simple watch it carefully for now.

She quickly wrote Shizuo a quick message and showed it to him. "Sorry, I was surprised you have a pet cat now" she moved out of the way letting the blonde enter the apartment. "Come in, Shinra's in the living room"

"Thanx." Shizuo mutter, brushing past with the strange cat creature in hand, its eerie reddish eyes following her as he passed.

Normally Celty would have found a kitten cute, but this one was unsettling to her, she decided to find a chance to figure out why. She just needed a chance to be alone with it, she didn't want to alarm her friend if it was unnecessary.

Things were a little awkward at first between Shinra and Shizuo, it soon became clear why.

After the blond explained that he wonted the kitten checked over to Shinra's confusion, he wasn't a vet and started such to the nervous blond though he relented quickly agreeing to clean the kittens wounds and as he worked the fidgety man finally worked up the nerve to ask his doctor friend about Izaya.

That was it Celty thought, the real reason he was asking Shinra to do the job of a vet, Shizuo was unsure how to bring up Izaya and used his strange kitten as a partial excuse to ask.

"Ugh so Shinra... about the fl... er Izaya, is he... Arg, is he alive or... did I kill him? The blond man mumbles his eyes fixed on his kitten as Shinra finish cleaning up its injeries.

"Well Shizuo he is here, but alive is not my go to word to describe Orihara-kun right now." Shinra sighed picking up his medical supplies.

"I have him hooked up to a respirator and way more machines then any human should ever need... Look Shizuo I'm not gonna sugar coat it, I don't think he will ever wake up, I can't detect any meaningful brain activity. Truthfully if it wasn't for Celty using her shadows to hold him together as he heals and me using machines to force him to breath and his heart to beat he'd be long dead."

Shinra walked toward the hall leading to the back rooms. "Celty said she used her powers to tie his soul to this plain of existence, so we are hoping he can maybe reconnect with his body when it's healed, but if it turns out the brain is damaged soul or not brain dead is the same as just plain dead, no in this case he'd be worse then dead, just stuck to an unmoving, unthinking corpse, his own personal hell if that's the case... we might be doing something incredibly cruel by keeping him here. I think it might have been better to just have let him pass, but Celty cares about your well being so if she has hope I want to believe in her.

Remember Celty doesn't have her memories so she isn't sure about the power she used... "

The bispecticaled doctors voice suddenly went from solum to his usual chipperness. "sooo do you want to see him, he doesn't look great, but you should probably at least see your own handy work right, maybe it will help you hold your temper better in the future, though maybe not with him, I mean he is Izaya."

Celty gestured to the kitten while holding her PDA up to the two "I can watch him for you."

As soon as the two men left down the hall, the door to Izaya's room clicking behind them, the dullahan glared at the tiny kitten. It was now slowly cleaning a paw, but it's eyes were fixed to hers, watching her in a calculating manner, like it knew that she was aware there was something terribly wrong with this tiny creature.

cautiously Celty moved closer to the kitten, still perched on the tea table in front of the coach, she typed slowly feeling a little silly typing for a cat.

"I know your not really an animal, what are you and what do you want?"

the tiny thing studied the words on the screen in front of its furry face, making her feel a little less dumb since it seemed to be reading her words.

Finally it looked back up at her squinting one eye to mimic a raised eyebrow and then it grinned, yes grinned, an odd imitation of one anyways.

The expression looked odd on the kitten, it's teeth showing in a toothy predatory smile. He then proceeded to lift his freshly cleaned paw and pawed at the screen, after a few attempts and leaving a string of gibberish the kitten gave up and again squinted one eye at her.

She got the message and placed the PDA down on the table in front of him. after a few minutes of carefully pressing letters on the touch screen with his little damp nose the cat looked up pleased, he only typed a single word or rather name. "Izaya" stood out in black letter on her PDA right after his earlier nonsense.

Celty stood silent unable to believe what this strange creature was attempting to communicate to her.

"Your Izaya?" She wrote in an attempt to clarify which of her two questions he was answering.

She earned a simple nod of its head and that was that, whatever she had done to tie Izaya to his body had somehow ended him up in the body of a small and rather harmless kitten, one that ironically Shizuo had then adopted.
