A/N: This might be the shortest chapters out of the whole story arc. Either way, it's the final chapter for this arc. Next is a bit of a filler before the next arc.

Chapter Twenty-Seven: A Great Jagras Sleep Pile

The sun began to set and it ended the day of the Jagras rebellion. The group of ten remained in their embrace for a moment more before they heard the sounds of shuffling. They looked towards the tunnel entrance to see all three Great Jagras slink out. At first they looked ready to join in, but one look at their dead leader made them stop. The three lowered their gazes to the ten below the head of the dead monster. Jacob started to get up in case there was to be another fight, but the nine Jagras beat him to it by all moving to stand in a single row. They all gave loud screeches to tell the three Greats that they meant business. While the two males looked to each other as if thinking it over, the female started using her head to push them towards the slope, clearly not wanting to get into another brawl. The two didn't seem to want to give up, but they ended up moving on ahead of her. The female watched them go before casting one glance to the pack. From his spot behind the nine, Jacob had a feeling that she didn't really want to leave. But she turned her focus before her again and started her way up the slope to follow after the other two. They watched as the three went into the right entrance back into the forest and the last thing they saw were their tails disappearing behind them.

When they were sure that all three of them were gone, Jacob and the Jagras breathed a little easier. With the current danger now passed, Jupiter gave a small growl to the other Jagras in his pack. All nine started to walk back for the entrance as Jacob started to get back onto his feet. When he stood tall, he watched as the Jagras were about to cross through the water before going up into the tunnel. But they all stopped and looked back to the human. Joss and Jess rushed back to the human and moved around him before pushing him forward with their heads. Jacob lightly laughed from the sense of déjà vu and said, "Okay, okay. I'm coming. I'm coming."

Walking a little faster to meet up with the pack, Joss and Jess moved to walk side by side with the human. When he joined them, Jupiter lead the way back up into the tunnel. From looking at each of the Jagras, Jacob could tell that they were really tired and sore from the whole battle. He thought of given them some of his health potions when he now realized that he didn't have his pack on him. The teen looked over him to see that his knife was missing too. His movements made a few in the pack look up to him and he could tell they were wondering what he was doing. It was then that he remembered that he had dropped it during the fight. One mystery solved, Jacob now wondered what happened to his pack.

A short climb later and they were back where the Jagras of the Ancient Tree used to reside. From glancing to the nine Jagras he could tell that they didn't want to go all the way back to their new hideout and he didn't blame them. Jupiter gave a small growl before making his way towards another tunnel. Slightly wondering where this one led, Jacob started to follow with the rest when he noticed something on the ground. Happy to have found the carving knife, he leaned down and scooped it off the ground. Placing it back into its sheath, Jacob then followed the pack into the opening.

From the looks of the tunnel, it looks like it had been scrapped by the large Great Jagras and regular Great Jagras, causing it to widen every so often. They came to a certain part in the tunnels that was greatly spacious and Jacob saw that it was littered with piles of bones. Having a feeling that this was the lair of Jagras packs of past and future, Jacob figured this is where they would be spending the night. He looked to one of the piles of bones and was surprised to see his pack just lying there. Picking it up, he was grateful to see that the items weren't too badly damaged from the scuffle. He saw that he had plenty of vials to share with them and a little for his own wounds too.

Taking one of the vials out of the pack, Jacob turned to the pack as they had gathered around each other. He watched as they groomed each other and it showed him that they really cared for each other. Kneeling down he showed them the vial, "Who's hurt?"

But the girls all surprised him by swarming around him and Juno gently pushing him onto his rear. Jacob was unprepared for the onslaught of licks as the tongues went over his bloodied face and hands. He felt his hair tussled a little from the cleaning. They went on for a few minutes before stopping. While there were still a few blood stains here and there, the girls managed to clean him up a good deal. Jacob felt a little slimy from the new saliva still clinging to him and said, "Okay. My turn to help you guys.

"And hopefully a little more cleaner." He added with a deadpanned look. It earned a bit of humorous eye rolls from the Jagras as Julius then nudged Juni forward first. Juni looked to the members of his pack and Jupiter urged him on with a motion of his head. The youngest of the nine moved forward and moved to show a few cuts and bruises on his body. Juni hissed from the pain as Jacob applied the potion. But the young Jagras clenched his talons in the ground to keep him from moving away.

After finishing with Juni, Jacob got to work on the other eight. Like the tough guy Jagras he sought to be, Julius put on a brave face and toughed his way through the whole treatment with only a few growls and grunts of pain. Juno was the most jumpy and held to be held down by Jenna and ironically Jumpa. Junker tried to take the vial out of Jacob's hand, but a screech from Jupiter was enough to make him sit still. Joss and Jess didn't move from each other's side as Jacob worked on helping them and had a feeling that they might be sisters who looked out for each other. After them, he moved onto the third vial. After Jumpa and Jenna had been properly taken care of, Jupiter moved before the human to receive the potion. Noticing a few scratches on the Jagras' side, Jacob dipped his fingers into the last few ounces of the Healing Potion and applied it to the scratches. Jupiter screeched once and nearly snarled at the human before composing himself enough to stay still. Feeling a bit sympathetic, Jacob nodded as he applied some to the Jagras' chest, "I know. Sometimes it hurts like you're going through the hottest fires you can think of.

"But it'll be over soon." He promised as he worked to finish applying the potion. When he was done he put some on his own body before lightly scratching the side of Jupiter's head. He gave a happy growl as he moved his head to get more. Jacob stopped the scratching and he, Julius, Juno and Juni all let out tired yawns.

Seeing that it was time to hit the sack, Jacob started to lie down on the ground. But his back suddenly rested against something and he turned his head to see Julius lying on his side. Jacob was about to get up again when Joss and Jess lied down on both sides of the teen. He lightly grunted when Juno climbed on top of him before making herself comfortable. While Jupiter and Jenna rolled their eyes from Juno's antics, Juni moved to the boy's legs and laid down over them. Jacob felt himself completely immobilized by his new friends. He had a lot more movement when it came to the trio high above them. But he didn't complain as Junker and Jumpa laid themselves over Joss and Jess with their heads on Juno's back. The last two to join in the pile was Jupiter and Jenna as they moved onto either side of the pile. While Jenna joined Juni around Jacob's legs, Jupiter moved to where his head was over Julius' neck and had his eye facing Jacob. The human maneuvered his hand around Jess and lightly patted Jupiter's shoulder. The Jagras responded in kind by moving his forearm to where the paw rested over Jacob's hand. For some reason, like with the Rath family, Jacob felt at ease with the Jagras pack as listened or felt their breathing. With a contended smile, he closed his eyes to dream of what tomorrow would be like.

Author's Note: And with this, Jacob is fully seen as a member of this pack and the Greatest Jagras Liberation story arc is complete. I do hope that you all enjoyed this part of the story. I'll be working on the filler chapter before going onto the next story arc, Song of the Seas, which I'm really excited to do. It might take me a while because I need to research on the monsters featured in it. I look forward to reading your reviews.
