Sadly most everything I had has been deleted. I made a point to update the documents at the end of last year to add to its life but it seems everything is gone nonetheless. So even though this story was done and only needed editing I now have to rewrite the last few chapters. Honestly not happy, I thought I had it all backed up on my computer but I got a new one and I guess I don't. I had a standalone here as well but that's just gone forever and I won't try to redo it.
Oh well 19 and 20 are still here so I can just edit and post those, but 21-23 have to be redone. I remember the general outline at least. Xp
Chapter 19
Izaya kept his smile and waited for the blonds touch, expecting something akin to the gentle pats he received as the blonds pet.
Sadly that is not what he received. Instead Shizuo's once gentle hand clamped harshly around the ravens slim neck, lifting him from the ground and cutting off his air way.
Izaya choked, clawing desperately at the hand around his throat. There was nothing else he could do, his knife hadn't been present when he had woken at Shinra's and he hadn't bothered to borrow a scalpel or swing by if flat to grab any sort of weapon. He had been carless and now he was paying the price.
"Iiii-zaaayyy-aaaa" Shizuo growled out under his breath this time the name held nothing but malice.
'This isn't what's supposed to happen' he thought, struggling to pry his neck free from that powerful grip, any harder and it would surely snap. 'Why is he doing this, why is he so mad, I don't understand it's not like I intentionally tricked him.'
His limbs barley touched the ground before the brute started to drag him, his feet refusing to stay under him for any length of time, the lack of air making his limbs feel weak. He stumbled feebly behind the blond. "St-stop… Shi-Shizu-o… let- let g-go" he choked out with what little air he had. Where was Shizuo taking him? What was he planning to do?
Fear slowly crept into the ravens mind. 'I don't want to die, not again, please stop Shizuo.'
Along the way Shizuo ripped a sign out of the ground, one of those 'dogs must be kept on leash' signs posted throughout the park. He kept walking, dragging both Izaya and the sign post along until they reached a more densely forested area.
Before Izaya could even comprehend, his throat was finally freed and his body viciously flung into a large tree with unnecessary force.
"GAH-Ah!" the raven let out a pained cry. Curling into a ball once he slumped to the ground gridding his teeth to ward off the pain radiating though his aching frame.
Owch, that defiantly popped a few stitches.
Izaya flinched as he heard movement, he watched tentatively as the ex-bartender began to approach the ravens huddled form and proceeded to bend and wrap the metal pole of the sign he's previously ripped up around Izaya's limbs, using it to pin his arms to his sides and his legs together at his knees. At best he could maybe try to hop away. He was in no shape to try, even if he did he's much to slow to get very far.
He then stood up again. Izaya kept his eyes down, staring at the metal mess twisted crudely around him. He listened as Shizuo's footsteps recede as he steadily moved away from the bound raven.
Was that it? Was he just going to rough him up a bit and then leave him bound in the park for a random jogger to come across?
The next sound he heard made his chest tighten.
Maybe not…
He looked over wide eyed in the direction the blond had gone, only to see he was ripping up a tree.
Oh no… A tree? Really? What had been wrong with just hitting hit with the sign? The much smaller, less deadly sign. He's really rather the sign.
The informants eyes snapped shut waiting for the pain that would accompany being hit with such a large piece of wood.
He was confused when the pain never came and even more so when he could hear an odd sound. He looked back up to see what Shizuo was up to… He was using the tree to dig the hole where the tree once stood deeper. What in the world was that protozoan doing?
The blond then dropped his makeshift shovel and proceeded to walk back to where the confused raven lay, grabbing and dragging him by his hair as he struggled to crawl after even with his legs bound in an attempt to relieve the pressure to his sculp.
It started to dawn on him what Shizuo was planning and he felt his stomach turn in fear.
H-he can't… He can't be seriously planning t-to actually put me in there like some corpse.
His thoughts ran wild as he thrashed violently in panic.
No! no nonononono!
"NO! Don't, please don't! No! Shizu-chan please! You're not really gonna-" His begging cut off as the silently irate blond discarded the freaked out raven into the deep hole he's dug. A grave, he'd been digging Izaya a grave.
The raven struggled in vain to crawl out of his soon to be grave as the other man relentlessly threw chunks of earth on top of him.
"Ow! Shizuo please, I just want to talk! I- Ooff" A particularly large chunk of heave earth hit his back, knocking the air from his lungs. "I don't intend to trick you- owch- I liked spending time with you- ooff- as a cat- tch- Please stop with the dirt! I want to make amends I- Ah- St-stop I don't want to die! Please listen for once!"
Shizuo hadn't said a word since grabbing and dragging him, no matter what the informant said or how much he begged it was apparent the blond had no desire to respond. He likely wasn't even listening at all. He just kept burying the smaller man alive in silence, not even seeming to acknowledging Izaya's presence down in that hole he was slowly filling.
All attempts to reason with the man proved futile. The raven kneeling in the hole hid his face between his knees in hopes of avoiding choking on dirt and preserving room for air. Izaya had all but given up, instead prioritizing making enough room to breathe.
I can't believe I'm going to die again. I'll suffocate in complete darkness, six feet in dirt and bleeding from reopened wounds… alone.
He swallowed hard biting his bottom lip as tear welled up in his eyes, slowly building and running down his face, trying his best to hold back his sobs.
At the very least I won't let him see me break down like a scared coward. He won't see me cry… My pride won't allow it… But still I don't want to die like this. I really thought we had a chance to change, but I guess that was a foolish wish.
Why did I come here?
Izaya stayed huddled like that as the light faded and sound began to muffle around him. The weight on his back steadily increasing until all was silent. No more movement. No more chunks of heavy dirt curly thudding dully against his back. He was alone. Buried like a corpse and left to rot.
Yeeeeah… did I say good luck, errr yeah sorry that was so not the fluff that was implied last chapter. My apologies ne~
See ya next time~
