73. 73 - preparing for expansion

Ventress , Garbed in nothing but simple rags scrounged up from an ancient temple , Knelt within one of many said temples , The darkside rippling around her in all its impressive fury .

" And you return , Bearing the scars if victorious battle, The blood of your foes marks you blemished and dirtied skin " Marka ragnos growled , Floating before vebyress with an appraising eye " And with the darkside strong within you "

" You are not the strongest I have bestowed my teachings apon , Far from it ...but your power is commendable non the less " Ventress allowed the obvious insult to fester within, yet she retained a calm facade on the outside ,As ragnos sent a small knowing smile towards the dathomeerian .

The battlefield was covered with smog , Fron the surface to the very edges of the atmosphere , The planet was blanketed in a thick layer of smog and ash.

" HOW LONG UNTIL WE CAN EXPECT REINFORCEMENTS " C3 , A battalion commando cried out as he took potshots through the smoke towards the CIS forces , the only reason he knew they were in that direction being the standard red bolts Illuminating the darkness that separated them .

On either side of the battlefield , Rivers of magma bubbled , Causing the clones to sweat in their environmentally friendly armour , Cold air being provided from packs on their backs to aid them.

Momentarily , The smog cleared up to allow the clones a view of the volcanic planet .

As far as the eye could see , rivers of lava spanned the horizon, Volcano's spewing ash and smoke into the skies .

Behind the clones was their crashed venator, It's hanger control tower being totally destroyed laying beside the bulk of its body.

In the distance, Floating in the sky was the CIS frigate , Laying down fire apon the vebator with focussed fire whilst the clones took cover and hid in volcanic vents hidden nearby.

" Good thing those seps can't get us in here " C3 grumbled , A barricade set up at the mouth of a vent as he watched a literal sea of droids approaching the wreckage of their ship .

" How's the general " C3 asked , Turning to one of the commando units that had been on the ship .

" jedi master bulq is still in critical condition , We're doing our best to stabilise him but ... at this rate " The commando replied , Kneeling down on the makeshift barricade , other clones coming up beside then as they prepared to defend the position from the droids seeking them out.

" Yea ... "

Suddenly, And without warning ,as the clones were about to be discovered by the droids , the lucrehulk in the air on the distance suddenly stopped firing apon the venator . Instead it aimed upwards I to the skies and appearing to be firing apon an unknown entity .

The droids , Turning away , looked up in curiosity as the lucrehulk lit up the skies with everything it had .

To the shock of all , A single blue coloured bolt of unknown energy suddenly tore through the clouds , Striking the lucrehulk and Ripping it in half with that lone shot , Sending both halves falling to the ground in a ground shaking earthquake .

" What the hell was that " c3 whispered to his brother , just as a shadow passed over the ground l, As if the sun was setting somewhere in the distance.

Soon after they identified the origin of the blue ship ending bolt , As a gargantuan ship broke through the clouds , Parting them around its awe inspiring size .

" WHAT THE " C3 yelled out as he looked at the hexagon shaped vessel , Its absolutely mind breaking size casuing his heart to hammer on his chest .

" JUST THE BOW IS LARGER THAN THE LUCREHULK " A clone in the back yelled out as the droid forces all aimed their weapons up and tried in a form of futility to shoot at the impressive ships bow.

The ship once more delivered a form of miracle before the eyes of the clones , As a resonating pulse burst from somewhere in the centre mass of the ship above , A visible wave of energy washing over the droids one by one around the ships circumference.

And one by one , Before the eyes of the clones , The droids shut down as the pulse ran over them , Toppling the entire droid army in just two attacks .

" FUCK " C3 yelled out as the pulse too passed over them , Their guns beginning to spark violently, Causing burns to singe the hands of the clones through the exposed parts of their gauntlets .

" That was a fucking emp , The electronic parts of our rifles are fucked ... might still have use of the gas though " The commando explained , Tossing his now useless pistol to the side .

" I think we're about to have contact " The commando announced as he pointed to the ship above , Where over ten shuttles appeared to be ferrying from hangers on the side of the ships bulk , two Splitting off any heading to the crashed lucrehulk whilst the others headed in their direction .

' Must be to get the sep leader ... the rest are for the organics ' C3 gulped as the completely alien looking shuttles flew across the field of defunct droids , Heading straight for their position .

" They already know where we are ... how " C3 cringed as the shuttles rotated in their air , Descending at a fast pace as their bay doors opened .

And much to the shock of the clones , what could only be described as an army of mandalorians ferried out of the shuttle doors , their jetpacks activating as they fell to cushion the fall as they landed on their knees .

As one they pulled out an odd looking handle from their waist , An energy shield Erupting from within to create a rectangle shield as large as they were tall , Creating a wall of impenetrable shields to protect themselves.

What drew C3s attention on the other hand was two individuals who stepped out of the last remaining shuttle , One a robed figure who simply plummeted to the ground , Raw dogging the impact as the landed with nothing but a huff on the dirt . The other an unmasked blonde man whom gracefully landed at her side .

In silence the clones watched what they thought to be a jedi walking towards the Lind of mandalorians , The shield wall opening ti allow her passage either the blonde man at her side.

" We're so fucked " The commando at C3s side uttered , Confusing C3 as he squinted to see if he could discern the woman's identity.

And by the time he was able to discern her identity , It was already too late as she stood before the mouth of five volcanic vents , behind her an army of her mandalorians, Looking at their position with the confidence of the reaper itself .

" Congratulations ... We bring peace on behalf of the sollustians " The obviously not jedi cackled as she reached to her hip , pulling out and activating her saber as she pointed her it towards the clones , The mandalorians behind the woman pointing their blasters through the gaps in their shields directly at their position .

"They've reached out to us for our assistance in leaving the confederacy of independant systems ... and they want the CIS and republic to vacate their soil , I advise you surrender "

Up above, The clones could see the current lining the bottom of the behemoths hull Swivelling and aiming directly at their position .

" And we do , Senya " The woman smirked for some unknown reason as she turned to face the Injured but very much awake sora bulq , Who limped from within the centre vent hole towards the mandalorians .

" Please ... there does not need to he any further bloodshed this day " The woman , Senya , If they were to believe, Showed her lip in silent agitation clear to all .

" Fine ... fine ruin my fun ... " She waved her hand , Turning off her saber " You're just going to be relocated to the sollustian cities until your comrades come to pick you up ... don't try anything funny otherwise they'll go down too ... in the meantime " She turned back to the mandalorians " PREPARE FOR A DEFENCIVE AGAINST COUNTER ASSAULT "

" That Is if they manage to somehow get past the ship of course " The ship above unresponsive slowly ascended back into space , Taking a long vigil against what was no doubt going to be a sizeable cis fleet .

" Surely you don't expect it to be able to stop the cis offensive on your own " Bulq stated aghast at the woman's brocade.

" jedi ... your entire republic couldn't crack the hull of my ship if it was powered down , Alone and unmanned in the vacuum of space " Vaylin sneered at the jedis doubt " Now we'll wait here for the sollustians... if you have wounded... now is the time to bring them out "

" unbelievable... it's ten time the size of anything we've got " Bulq gulped , judging the massive twelve specialised turrets lining its sides , Six on top and six on the bottom , He judged them to be as large as a command bridge of one of their venators .

" You're think they can understand us " A clone whispered in another bed nearby , The group of injured republic members sat in a sort of underground medical bay , Within the capital city of sollust .

" Of course they can we're speaking basic , Quieten down you'll offend them " Another spoke in a harsh whisper whilst the first clone winced , Not wanting to come off as some kind of xenophobe , The clone shut his mouth , Simply accepting the attention from the sollustians who were attending then in the med Bay.

" Right ... sorry " Bulq ignored the clones in favour of looking at C3 sat on the end of the med bed , A hologram of the star of coruscant shoeing its current orientation over sollust.

" You think they can do it " Bulq asked of his second in command , Leaning back into the bed , Groaning slightly as the pain in his side flared for a small moment " contend avaunt the CIS fleet that no doubt on the way I mean "

C3 rubbed his chin , Helmet resting on his leg as he sat on a pulled up chair to his jedi commanders bed " if whatever weapon they used to destroy the lucrehulk is able to be fired more than once in rapid succession ... then I don't know . They seem mighty confident in their ability to defend themselves ... Unless we actually see it action I doubt I'd be able to make an accurate assessment of just what they are capable of "

" It seems we're in agreement then ... though we'll have to wait for our reinforcements to arrive , Hopefully we can survive the separatists until they arrive to get us " Bulq slumped , And a warning through the force alerted him mere moments before a siren started to blare through the medical bay.

" It seems we won't be waiting long for the separatists response " C3 grumbled , The live holo display showing no less than seven separatists ships jumping into the system , With four more arriving in quick succession after.

" Whose flagship is that " Bulq asked. Leaning in and staring at the separatists lead vessel , The darkside emanating from within the bridge of the vessel .

" Dooku's new apprentice I believe ... " Sora looked at the lead vessel with a Squinting gaze " There have been rumours on the warfront about a new dark side taking to the battlefield under dookus command "

" Rumours are it's an echani male ... we don't know much about them ... but I've heard they're a problem ... formidable on the battlefield... eager to prove themselves " Bulq frowned , Running his fingers along his chin in thought .

" Our chances of victory ... " One of the clone commandos approached, Staring at the approaching fleet of vessels with calculating and critical eyes behind his helmet .

" Depends ... I have confidence on the abilities of that ... woman ... from what we've seen we cam atleast rely on her to take them on in her own self interest ... " Bulq explained , Thoughts running through his head " Our chances are low ... when they get past that ship ... we're going to have to hold out as long as possible "

" Whats the ID on that ship " Dartraka asked , Sitting at the command of the relinquisher ... His pale blue eyes staring straight at the star of coruscant as he lead the speratist fleet .

" Uh ah , Sir it appears our sensors can't pick up anything " A B1 announced , Turning from the console to face the fleet commander .

" Try again ... Something that large has to give off some kind of signature " Dartraka thought , Leaning back as he folded his chin .

" Still nothing sir , What are you orders " The same B1 asked , Waiting in silence for a few seconds.

Devoid of any mandalorian forces , The bridge of the star of coruscant was a no go zone for anyone that wasn't from zakuul , With vaylin standing on the bridge alongside a Scorpio proxy , The head of the Empires military standing alongside the emperor's mistress .

" They're coming ... Are you ready to put on a show " Scorpio asked , Vaylin Smirking in response , Giving a small nod .

" Leave nothing but dust " Vaylin cooed , The droid nodding as she took control of all the ships faculties .

" Of course high justice ... " The metallic cloud of vulture droids was now half way to the star of coruscant , A targeting display lighting up as the star of coruscant picked up and showed over two hundred vulture droids coming straight at them .

" Will our shields hold " Vaylin asked as the closest of the vulture droids began ti shoot their useless weapons at the dreadnaught .

" There's no need to worry , They are bugs to be squashed at our leisure " The red bolts of the droids struck the shields of their ship , Being harmlessly absorbed and vanishing as if they were never there.

The droids , Apon reaching the star of coruscant , Swerved around the ship , Some however struck its shields , Explosions covering its surface for a moment.

" Shields holding at ninety nine percent... recharged to full capacity " Scorpio announced as the swarm began to attempt to circle the ship , Firing indiscriminately around the ship to test for a weak spot in its defences.

" Coils heating ... Charges being deployed " The ship took on a harsh hue of blue , The intensity starting at a pale light before growing intensity as the shields became a visible phenomenon to everyone who could see it .

" Pulse one deploying " As Scorpio announced her words , The shields of the vessel shook , Thrumming violently as a dome expanded from the ship in all directions , Washing over the vulture sroids which sparked violently , Some having their munitions explode destroying the droids , Others simply powering off to float uselessly in space.

" How many remain functional " Vaylin asked , Wishing to test her new ships capabilities further .

" None " Scorpio confirmed , The emp shockwave fading away shortly before reaching the cis fleet .

Dartraka rose from his seat in outrage as the entire roster of droids went off-line at once , Their signals simply turning off , Showing them to he completely shut down by the weapon deployed by that cursed vessel .

" Move forward, Surely a weapon of that magnitude has considerable recharge time " Dartraka hissed , The munificent he controlled urging forward alongside the other ships .

" Focus all fire-power on that ships bridge ... bring that things shields down " Dartraka roared , The fleet immediately opening fire afterwards , their forward facing turrets launching everything they had directly at the dreadnaughts bridge .

The acolytes teeth ground together as the ship simply ate everything they slung at it , The shields glowing brightly in the face of their assault.

" B1 3389 , B1 2318 , Peel off , commence broadside of energy vessel ... the rest ... draw its attention " The affirmations that followed allowed dartraka to breath a deep whiff of air , Nostrils flaring, Squinting as the ship had yet to fire apon them in turn .

' What are you waiting for '

" Distance ... two kilometres ... in range of all munitions... your orders high justice " Scorpio asked , Every weapon capable of being aimed at the fleets ships were currently tracking the enemies , The droid controlling every single weapon at the same time without issue.

Vaylin glared , Brows knitting as yellow iris's narrowed.

" Scan for organics " Vaylin ordered , A shime responding as a display showed the organic life on the vessels .

" Three signatures ... all on the central frigate ... it seems to be a fully automated fleet " Scorpio announced , Distate easily heard even through her synthetic voice " These lesser beings are an insult to mechanical life "

" I want to fight the commander of their army, I want their ship to crash on sollust , If they survive ill destroy them myself ... if not ... then they were obviously too weak anyway " Vaylin ordered , Her harsh voice crashing throughout the bridge as Scorpio moved to enact her demands .

" Target parameters set ... tracing ... weapons primed ... Rerouting power assignment ... Firing lancers " Swivelling , the eight forward facing turrets turned and faced each individual ship of the fleet , A violet glow lighting up within the barrels of the turrets .

" Fire " Vaylin spoke , The ship shaking slightly as thirty two beams of energy speared across the vacuum of space , Slamming into the bow of the nearest munificent class ships , Sheering through the hulls of the vessels , reading entire sections of the ships unstable as explosions tore chunks from the ships .

" fire again " The power consumption remained in acceptable ranges as the weapons adjusted themselves slightly, following the weakspots of the nearest munificent class ships .

Darktraka stumbled , Watching with wide eyes as another lance of light tore through the hull of the ship infront of his command vessel . Splitting the munificent completely in half as droids were sucked into space by a vacuum.

His command ship blared with sirens as a stray lance of light , Having cut clean through the ships infront if his own struck the plating next to their forward facing cannon .

" DAMAGE REPORT " Dartraka yelled out , The droids in the bridge stumbling back to their stations.

" Four of our ships have been destroyed ... three have sustained heavy damage ... " The B1 standing infront of a display showing the status of the other munificent class ships.

" Sir ... our main cannon has suffered irreparable damage , We've been breached , Currently locking down damaged sections " Dartraka looked at the lone vessel through the fireballs of the destroyed frigates , their wreckages now floating away uselessly like a heap of scrap.

" We need to get out of here " Dartraka turned to the navigator " NOW "

" Sir ... we are unable to do so ... our hyperdrive is unable to jump under these circumstances " The navigator droid stated matter of factly .

" WHAT DO YOU MEAN " The echanti growled , Stomping over to the droid .

" An interdictor field had been deployed by the enemy vessel ... we will be unable to escape the system until said field has been rendered neutralised " Dartraka roared , Activating his lightsaber and chopping the droids head from its body .

" GET US OUT OF RANGE OF THAT SHIP NOW , SLINGSHOT ARPUND THE PLANET " The flagship , Under his command , Began to turn away from the vessel , The other munificent class frigates surging forward in an act of self sacrifice to take on the dreadnaught across from them .

Watching the lone command ship break formation behind the wall of frigates , Scorpio and waylin looked on with smug gazes .

" Target fleeing at fifty five MGLT " Scorpio announced , Adjusting the aim of one of their cannons to follow the trajectory of the fleeing vessel " Your orders mistress "

" Take it down ... Make sure the bridge remains intact " Vaylin smugly stated , A wall of explosions still occurring as the star of coruscant still battled the small fleet of munificent class frigates .

" SIR WE'RE BEING TARGETTED " A B1 announced as they spotted one of the turrets on the side of the behemoth aiming directly for their mid section .

" EVASIVE MANUVEOURS " It was too late however , As four lances of light near instantly struck the midsection of the ship , The ship shaking vioently as it was sawn in half in one shot .

" WE'RE GOING DOWN ... WE'RE CAUGHT IN THE PLANETS GRAVITY WELL , WE'VE BEEN BREACH ... WE'RE " Dartraka ignored the droids rambling , Gripping the side of his chair , Watching half the scan of the ship simply go black as half of his munificent class frigate ceased to exist.

" Control our fall ... prepare my ship " Dartraka growled , Only to be stopped by one of the droids.

" Sir ... your personal ship was destroyed in the latest attack we suffered " The B1 announced , Giving dartraka pause .

" Any other vessels " He asked through pursed lips .

" Taken out in the same attack " The droid assured his commander , The echanti cursing under his breath .

' It was a pinpoint attack designed to keep us from escaping ' dartraka realised with alarm , Noting that only two other munificent class frigates remained out of the ten that had been brought to assault sollust .

" Sir ... we'll be entering the atmosphere within twenty seconds " The drpid in control of piloting what remained of his ship announced .

" OPEN DRAG FLAPS ... LEVEL US OUT AND PREPARE FOR AN EMERGENCY LANDING " Finishing hus orders , The viewport became alight with flashes of flame , As they began re-entry .

" WE'RE BANKING RIGHT ... CLOSE STARBOURD FLAPS THEN REOPEN WHEN WE LEVEL OUT " Dartraka yelled out as the ship began to bank to the left .

As the last two of thr eleven munificent frigates were turned to shrapnel in space , Vaylin turned her gaze to watching the front half of Dartraka's ship falling ti the surface of sollust .

" Bring us down over the impact zone ... prepare to disembark " Vaylin growled , Turning away from the bridge and beginning to march towards the bridge elevator .

" BRACE " Dartraka yelled out, Clamping down onto the nearest console as a mountain range appeared through the clouds .

...

Sora stood tall , Breathing mask over his face as the toxic atmosphere around him and his clones pricked at his exposed skin .

" OVER THERE " A clone yelled out as the surviving half of Dartraka's munificent broke the clouds , Slamming into the tip of the mountain in the distance, blowing chunks off the mountain top , The wreckage continuing onwards until it collided with a dried up lakebed in the distance, Plumes of smoke and acidic clouds being churned up whilst the ground below shook .

" Status on the CIS fleet " Sora asked , Turning to C3 who was flicking through a datapad with rapt attention .

" All eleven CIS vessels have been rendered inoperable ... The mandaloran ship is currently approaching the wreckage . Should be breaking through the clouds ... " C3 looked up as the star of coruscant broke through the clouds less than two minutes after the wreckage slammed into the ground " Now "

Multiple shuttles flew from the massive ship in the distance, Heading towards the wreckage as sora saw a glow of fire on the horizon.

" Let's go ... " Sora ordered , Heading for where some speeders were parked with his clones following closely by.

Sparks roused dartraka from his unconscious state , Wincing slightly as he groaned awake .

" Status report " Dartraka growled out , Only to be met with silence and occasional hisses from sparking wires .

Opening his eyes , he saw the Crumbled wreckages of the droids having being torn apart during the impact.

" Fuck " He pulled himself to his feet. Moving across the bridge of the munificent towards the broken down elevator.

Looking down , He noticed the elevator was completely out of commission .

" Let's get out of here " He mumbled to himself , Choosing ti slowly limb down the elevator shaft towards the med Bay somewhere down the ship .

" Target located " Vaylin listened as the shuttle she and pre flew towards the munificent wreckage , A blip appearing on a holo showing the only surviving organic signature currently moving through the ship " Whats he doing "

" Probably getting an oxygen mask to survive the atmosphere " Bo shrugged , eyeing vaylin out of the corner of her eye " Speaking of "

Bo looked at vaylin not wearing any protection from the poisonous atmosphere outside , Yet the high justice simply scoffed.

" You're funny , I'm not as squishy as you weaker things " Vaylin laughed out , Causing Bo to cringed at the woman's crass and generally rude demeanour.

" APPROACHING THE LZ " The pilot yelled out through comms , The bay doors opening as a harsh wind began to permeate the hold.

" Ahhh " Vaylin sighed after taking in a deep breath of the toxic fumes in the air.

" Sit us down beside the wreckage ... we'll wait for our target to meet us there " Vaylin ordered , The shuttle she was in aligning its orientation to where she pointed .

" I'm done waiting " Vaylin sneered , Her impatience clear as she reached her hand forward towards the hull .

A groan of steel echoed throughout the area , As vaylin made a twisting motion of her hands .

" I HOPE YOU'VE GOT YOUR MASK ON " Vaylin cried out as she reached both her hands forward, Making a pulling gesture with her arms .

The hull cracked like an egg , Tearing the walls of the vessel apart with a shrill , Loud crying of metal before the torn pieces of hull were thrown away , Flying off the mountainside and down towards a lake in the far distance .

" Found you " Vaylin smiled condescendedly , forcing the echanti from the vessel with a mere pull of her hand .

Dragged against his will , Dartraka ignited his saber and threw it straight at vaylin .

A snap hiss caused the death watch to create some space , As vaylin bat the thrown red saber into the dirt at her side , With the echanti landing with a soft crouch on the ground .

" What took you so long ..I've been waiting " Vaylin Pinned the masked echanti with a glare , Pointing her saber at the ground as it carved a hole into the dirt " So rude "

" Who are you woman " Dartraka glared at the ring of deathwatch as they moved around, Pointing their weapons at the separatist general .

" Senya tyrel , Leader of the deathwatch .. DON'T " Vaylin growled , Drawing Dartraka's attention back to her " Worry about them ... for fuck sake ...Focus on me ... we're going to fight ... I'm bored "

The echanti pulled his saber into his grip through the force. Red reigniting as he stood across from vaylin , still gauging the deathwatch from the corner of his eyes .

" WHAT DID I JUST SAY " Vaylin thrust her open palm at dartaka , The man's eyes widening at the shrill cry of the force , Launching himself to the side as the world quaked.

He and the deathwatch watched the looming ship be impacted by the forcepush.

As if struck by a massive force , The ship groaned, denting massively as the push struck its side before Sliding across the ground , pieces breaking off as the ship rolled away .

The ground quaked as the massive bulk of the ship slid to a stop over four hundred metres away .

And with that force push , Vaylin could feel the building fear from her newly acquired soldiers , The terror they fed the force an intoxicating beverage to her as she almost sniffed the air .

" Good ... " Vaylin cooed, Smiling slightly as she took a tentative .. intimidating step towards the now fearful dartraka .

" Let's go " She leapt forward , The echanti's eyes widening in terror as she swept her arm up , Bringing it crashing down apon the echanti with all the force she could .

She landed with Skidding steps , The man dodging back , Adjusting his stance to redirect the vicious blow that hammered down apon him.

" COME ON COME ON " She thrust with a mad cackle at his chest , Attempting to run him through .

The difference in strength was clear to all , With each strike the man's legs wavered , Every swipe she made forcefully made the man step away or out of range , Should he have to actually block the attack , He feared the saber in his hand being torn from his grip .

Pre and bo stood at the side, Slowly Circling the rampaging woman who had the obviously inexperienced acolyte on the defensive .

' What a monster ' Pre gauged the woman's movements , Always Stalking, Always watching . Even as vaylin swept across the ground , Hammering down on the soon to he exhausted acolyte with as much strength as she could muster.

Looking over , The clones and jedi became alert as the deathwatch watched them with silent gazes , The guards following them , Escorting them with hostile gazes .

" There you are ... we've been waiting " Vaylin smiled and approached , With sora watching the woman outstretched her hand , Dragging something across the ground with the force .

Stopping infront of the deathwatch leader , Sora squinted as she seemed to chew on her lip.

" As you wish , Scorpio replied as she exited the cloaked ship , Remotely controlling it as it took back off and flew out of the space station airlock .

Approaching a nearby console , attempting to see if there was a scomp link port for her to connect with the machine with .

' There is no port for connection . I'll have to find a work around ' Scorpio looked at her left hand , The pieces of her hand breaking apart into thousands , millions of microscopic robots that floated around the stump of her hand .

' I see ... it is a reactor used to create an artificial star ... which is then drawn apon to power the different nodes to make the hyperspace beam ' Scorpio analysed the glowpoint at the exact centre of centrepoint station.

' That explains the locals ability to create farms and live within the chamber used to house the artificial star ... ' Scorpio went over the schematics of the station , Eyes narrowing as she read exactly how the station made the hyperspace beam work.

' Such naive creatures ... they built their homes within the most dangerous part of the station. If the tractorbeam is used even once ... they all die ' Scorpio read the schematics which indicated that the artificial star , Whilst usually calm whilst powering the station. Became violent and would flare enough to destroy everything not originally built into the chamber when the tractor beam was used. " And I you " Nox whispered , Lana wrapping her legs around his Torso as he rested his head on her stomach , Her fingers trailing through his hair as they simply sunk into eachothers embrace.

But since the invasion , Some people had begun taking issue with the planets lack of defence measures .

" Instead of using my shipyards , Why don't I just make you one ... tailored to specifically produce the vessels you wish to make at record speed ... it'll be self sufficient, Automated to produce a predetermined number of ships , Always being updated to keep up with supply and demand ... and I'll attach a munitions depot as well ... you'll be able to make anything you need . " All unsanctioned personal hearby barred from being within two hundred and fifty hundred thousand kilometres of location " being that iokath was literally a dyson sphere that surrounded a star , Several hundred million times the surface area of what would come to be known as the death star , That's not a particularly large area to avoid .

Infact , iokath was so large that it could comfortably house the entirety of the eternal fleet , All eternal empire civilians , Several planets and most likely a portion of the galaxies populous before even beginning to run out of space to use.

" Oh dear ... " Lana called to her man who had walked away to the couch , Currently taking a dosage of purified cyclone .

" yes ... " Nox turned only to find Lana pushing herself against him , Grabbing his face and mushing her own against his , Pushing him down and to the couch as she Pinned him , Carnal desire as high as it could have been at that moment.

" Padme ... " Lana groaned in between kisses , Fixing the fidgeting senator with a side glance " Hit the lights "

" Okay "

Bad ideas , Craze and unfortunate events followed nox everywhere he went , Some controllable some not .

The miasma released from him through the force often convinced others to otherwise do things they wouldn't normally do , Such was the affect of being a dreadmaster ... the dreadmaster.

And so he usually kept a tight lid on the miasma that clung to him , A metaphysical craze that drove others around him into delirium .

The only times it leaked out were during moments where hus vices weren't as strong as they should been ... Such as when heavily intoxicated and under the effects of every drug he could get his hands on .

And so when he opened his eyes , Blood running down his eyes and nose , no doubt from an overdose he would have suffered ten times over during the night and subsequently survived and done again and again .

He groaned , blinking the bpood out of his eyes and rubbing his nose , He grabbed a the fabric he was laying on , Dragging it over and onto his face where he wiped the crimson fluid off of his face.

" That's better " He allowed the fabric to fall back , The privacy settings still active so the room was cast into a dim light , Mimicking night time despite the fact nox knew it to he the middle of the day .

He sensed padme to be back in her apartment , Most likely having left during the night when nox took Lana to their room , atleast thats what he thought he recalled , He didn't know everything was still hazy and he wasn't particularly fussed about forcing himself to remember .

Instead he rolled over slightly , Groaning as he nestled back up to Lana's side , Falling into a catatonic state as he focussed his mind on other matters , Such as Vas'lucis.

...JEDI TEMPLE ...

" The danger these entities poses is undeniable ... " Plo koon opened the conversation , Leaning forward with the utmost seriousness .

" The council has come to a decision , You are being assigned to hunt down knowledge , artefacts and potential whispers pertaining to these beings . You will be given a team to oversee , your apprentice will join you " Kit fisto continued on after plo koon went quiet " We need to find a way to purge these beings ... they are a danger to us all "

" The council has given you full autonomy to act on our behalf while you are away ... " Mace smiled assuringly at Vas who returned the smile with a nod of his head .

" Good news we hope to hear ... master vas " Yoda studied Vas'lucis for his reaction closely , Smiling to himself as he concluded lucis's unwavering determination .

" I will not let you down masters " Vas bowed deeply , The council exchanging positive glances with eachother " Masters may I know the assigned team members "

" Mallie cristell , Kento marek... " A resonance in the force at the two names gave vas momentary force as Mace spoke up to answer the question.

' Hm ... there's something deeper there ' Vas thought momentarily before refocusing on windu's words .

" Soon batys... and finally jedi master leska " Mace winced at the last team member .

" Due to the nature of this assignment , We will be unable to provide you with any substantial forces to take with you . Instead you will be provided a corellian CR90 corvette to accompany you along your travels " Kit fisto finally spoke up , Earning a nod of gratitude from Vas'lucis.

" I thank you for your consideration masters ... I'll be sure not to disappoint" Vas bowed once more before the council.

" That should be all " Ki adi mundi dismissed Vas'lucis, The young jedi master turning and vacating thr council chambers .

" Masters a moment please " Mace quickly got up and followed after vas .

" Master ... is there more you wish to discuss " Vas found Mace stepping into the elevator with him , The master of the order Wincing slightly .

" Indeed ... jedi master leska ... I must admit ... in our haste we promoted leska to jedi master in order to fill the tanks of jedi generals within the army ... In pulling her out we informed her of our decision to withhold judgement on her capabilities ... instead we have decided to assign her to you in order to promote and help her reach her potential " Mace informed Vas , The young jedi master nodding along.

" She's not taking it well is she " Vas asked , Giving the master of the order a solemn look .

" On the contrary... she seems particularly relieved ...I believe the war was causing undue stress on the girl ... she seems to doubt her abilities and struggles with self worth ... I would like you to foster her and guide her to being the jedi master we know she could be " Mace put a gentle hand on Vas'lucis shoudler , Smiling at him with full confidence .

" Of course master ... I'd be more than happy to help me team realise whom they are " Vas assured Mace, the door to the elevator chiming as it opened , Revealing the long corridor beyond .

" I'm proud of you you know " Mace spoke up before they could split apart " I may not have known you for a particularly long time ... but I can see the love you have for the order , For your comrades and for this republic ... and there is doubt in my mind that when the day comes , A seat on our council will be open to you " Mace affirmed, Watching vas take a small smile, Eyes closing slightly .

" I thank you master ... your words bring me a great deal of comfort " Vas shook hands with Mace, Turning away from the master of the order and exiting the elevator .

Mace slowly lost his smile as he watched Vas'lucis go , Once more activating his ability to see shatter points , a headache running through his head as he stared at the sheer amount of shatterpoints webbing from Vas'lucis and Into the galaxy at large.

So much impact , Through so much time ... Mace wasn't naive... he saw the great power in the force Vas'lucis held , the sheer radiance of the light was a physical phenomenon unto the world around him. And while he couldn't detect any hint of darkness within vas , he was however aware vas would live a long , Arduous life. And while he could do his best to prepare Vas'lucis for the responsibility before him , He could at the end of the day only have faith that the young man would strive forward , Headless of the destruction to the republic they held dear around them .

' If I can't stop what is coming ... I'll make sure ... through you ... that our order persist " Mace turned back into the elevator , Heading back to the council meeting .

Kento and Mallie stood infront of a corellian corvette , Conversing softly on the landing pad , Waiting for their team lead and other members .

" What do you think " Mallie asked nervously , Looking apon the man she held affection for , Looking for assurance ... guidance on what they should do .

" Relax " He gently took his lovers hand , Massaging the her hand to comfort his lover " This will be good for us . The force will guide us ... this is a blessing in disguise ... we should trust in what the force has in store for us "

Gently he pulled the woman into his grasps , Planting a soft kiss on her lips before the force gave them a subtle warning , The two Splitting apart as the door to the landing pad slowly opened .

" Ah here we are " soon batys sighed in relief , the brown skinned human male shaking his head , Leading leska onto the landing pad , The two having run to the landing pad in order not to be late " We made it just in time "

" There's no need to rush " The girl , Exhausted from running , Wheezed out as they stepped out onto the landing pad " We'll... make it when we need to "

Spotting kento and mallie , batys smiled brightly , Waving over to the two lovers whom subtly moved away from eschother , kento putting on a pleasant smile as he approached the other jedi .

Leska lagged behind soon , Looking around the group to see if there was anyone else present.

" Is uhh. . Team leader here " Leska spoke up as kento and soon got to speaking .

" Uh ... no we thought it was you guys" Kento relaxed momentarily , Looking at batys and leska with an appraising eye.

" What has the council asked you guys ... " Kento asked , The group exchanging glances.

" We're being reasigned to a long term mission, Prepare to depart at 1500 at this location ... we'll have a team of six and that's about it ... " Leska responded , The others all nodding as that was all they had been informed of .

" I was taken from the warfront to be assigned here ... I can't help but be worried about my men " Leska expressed , Leaning onto a crate full of supplies that they would be taking with them , Droids arriving with boxes to start loading the ship .

" Same here ... we were both selected for the mission , Something about being prime candidates or something along those lines " Mallie spoke up , Coming up and standing beside kento , Scrutinising batys and leska just as kento had done .

" Any idea of who team lead is" Batys asked , Exchanging glances with the group .

" No idea ... I " Leska froze alongside the three other jedi knights and masters , A radiant warmth basking the landing pad in its all encompassing comfort .

They all turned to face the landingpad catwalk , Watching as the final two approached , A pale blonde haired girl exchanging eager words with the young man Garbed in pure white robes .

" Of course you'll be getting your own bunk shai ... no need to worry " Vas pet his apprentice on the head as they arrived at the corvette , Sending a warm greeting at the four gathered jedi , Shai at his side shrinking slightly under their gazes.

" Ah its good to finally meet you , The council has gathered me a good team then " Vas unwound his arms and stepped forward , Kento Wincing slightly at the sheer presence of the man whom was apparently their leader .

" I am jedi master Vas'lucis, It is a pleasure to have you at my side during our mission " Vas called in his aura , Condensing it into a manageable range as the jedi before him seemed to visibly relax now that he wasn't broadcasting his presence " My apologise ... sometimes I forget "

Vas studied kento and mallie intently , Unblinking slightly as his eyes danced from the male to the female.

'Ah ... I see ' Vas smirked slightly , Kento and mallie stumbling half a step back under the intense gaze sent towards them .

' He knows ' Kento worried internally , The confirmation he recieved from the force nearly driving him to a panic .

Worriedly he sent a side glance towards mallie , Gulping slightly a she looked at him from the corner of her eye .

" Anyway ... we've delayed enough ... let's get going... " Vas clapped his hands , Breaking eye contact with the two secret lovers and marching up the boarding ramp past a droid carrying a crate.

" Master wait up ... I want to choose my room " Shai yelled out , Running up the boarding ramp with rushed steps after her master .

" I can't believe it ... " Batys whispered under his breath , A resonance of excitement rushing through him as he followed the pocql legend running through the temple .

" He's right ... let's go " Leska gently tapped mallie , Breaking the human from her stupor, Looking to kento .

Shaking his head , kento followed the group of jedi onto the ship , Resigning himself to the inevitable fallout of the relationship between himself and his lover with their jedi commander.

" MINE ... " Shai yelled throughout the corvettes interior , Slamming one of the quarters shut as she unslung her bag from her shoulder .

Vas chuckled to himself , Picking a room and placing his own on the bed before heading towards the cockpit of the vessel .

Whilst the others got comfortable on the ship , He could still practically taste the unease of kento and mallie from the cockpit of the vessel , As he sat down in ti pilots chair and began to initiate the pre flight check .

" Cargo manifest ... loaded " He double checked then rechecked their supplies as the droids vacated the vessel .

" fuel supply ... optimal " Vas mentally checked off the next thing.

" Ship viability ... confirmed " He shrugged , Beginning to flick switches " Engine check ... acceptable "

Over the next five minutes he ensured their ship was up to standard and ready for departure , And by the time he was done , He leant over and activated the intercom .

" This is your captain speaking , I am advised to inform you we are preparing for lift off , Of anyone would like to disembark from the vessel I advise you do so now " Vas chuckled as he grabbed a hold of the control stick " And off we go "

Stepping into the cafeteria of the ship on the second floor of the vessel below the main floor of the ship .

" Where are we off to first master " Shai asked , Intentionally ignoring the ration paste they had been provided for from the crates previously loaded onto the ship .

" Well " Vas prepared his own plate of slop as the others in the cafeteria looked at him curiously. Kento and mallie were sitting at the left most bench, Whilst soon and leska sat nearby shai , Their chatter breaking down as they wished to listen .

" I believe the best place to begin would be where this all started , Ladies and gentlemen ... we're going to tython ... " Vas smiled widly as he watched kento and leska spitt take at what he said , Eyes widening in disbelief .

" Do you ... know the exact details of this mission " Vas asked , Now partially confused at the alarm on everyone's faces .

" No ... we were simply told to prepare for a long term deployment " Leska finally spoke up over the silence .

" Oh ... oh no . Well then ... allow me to detail to you exactly what this mission holds ... I believe the council may have made a mistake in not allow you to prepare for what is to come " Vas slowly sat down across from shai , Interlacing his fingers as he opened his mouth to speak .

The rest of the trip to tython was spent in silence , The team retreating to their rooms to contemplate .

Kento , Leant over , Elbows on his knees as his brow was knit in fear and desperation.

' What a joke ... ' Kentos heart hammered in his chest as he thought about what the jedi council had all but ordered them to face ' The manifestations of the darkside themselves ... no wamder the council didn't tell us what we were supposed to be doing '

He leant back with a groan , covering his face as the weight of the mission settled on him , Recalling Vas'lucis's words on just what these things could do .

' Every sin ... every dark thought ... no matter how deep down it may be , Will allow for these things to latch on ... they will whisper lies into your ears . Promises of power , Compelling wishes , Desire . They want nothing but control and death , they will do their best to either turn you ... or outright destroy you ... taking your body for themselves as a second cha ce at life ... they are the darkside manifested beyond life... '

Kento shivered at the description , Thinking back to mallie .

' Should we ... just flee ' Kento thought before ruthlessly squashing the thought ' No ... the council has placed its faith in us ... We will do our best '

The sound of his door opening drew his attention , looking to find a dishevelled mallie standing in the frame to his room.

" Can I " She didn't need to pose the question , Shuffling over , Kento motioned for the woman he loved to approach .

" Of course " They embraced , Shaken up and fearful for eachothers lives in no doubt what was to be their most challenging mission.

" Do you think ... we should talk to him " Mallie asked , With kento holding her as they lay in the bed.

" I'll approach him on Tython ..it's not something the others need to hear " he assured , If there was a way to resist these beings ... then the most likely to know person was no doubt someone of their team leaders calliber .

" Okay "

... TYTHON ...

The corvette dropped out of hyperspace near ashla the moon passing by as vas guided them towards their target .

Sitting beside him was shai , The girl having slept little since she found out just what she had been thrust into .

" We're going to be okay shai ... trust me ... as I believe in you " Vas reached over and onto her head , The girl slumping slightly at his words , None the less relaxing momentarily as the corvette roared , Beginning entering the atmosphere of the jedi homeworld .

... ANCIENT JEDI TEMPLE ...

The corvette settled down apon the ancient grounds infront of the jedi temple , the six jedi disembarking with curious and earger eyes , Somewhat excited to explore their orders ancient home.

Vas looked up at the temple , Starkly different to what it had once been , Now completely overgrown by nature taking but its land .

" Its beautiful " Shai uttered at her masters side , Star struck as everyone gathered behind vas , Each one having a pointedly different reaction to seeing the ancient temple.

" I can feel the force here ... so ... tranquil " Leska whispered ,The others agreeing with the sentiment .

" It is isn't it ... stay close ... " vas motioned the group forward towards the Crumbled staircase that lead into the bulk of the buildings mass .

" Shai ... what do you feel here " Vas asked as they began their treck to the temple proper .

" The light ... the radiance and the calm ... " Shai immediately began , Looking to her master for his approval , But the raising of his eyesbrows brought her up short .

" What else do you feel ... many mistake the tranquil resonance of the world around us as the light and purely the light side of the force ... but right now ... I urge you to feel deeper ... past the facade " The others listened into vas's urging, Each one choosing to do what he instructed shai .

And so all five delved into the force , Using the hint provided by vas to try and find what he was hinting at .

The first one to pierce the veil , as they approach the foliage covered staircase , Was kento ... whom practically recoiled as he finally truly felt tython for what it was .

Immediately he disconnected from the force , Shaking violently as the darkside all but screamed at him . It's insidious cry wanting to pull him into its reach .

" Now you get it ... why I brought you here " Vas turned to kento who had a hand over his heart .

The next to truly see , Surprisingly enough was shai , Whom took the feeling of the world significantly better than the jedi to come .

' Perhaps being around me or nexus's so often is building a kind of sense ... a natural born resistance to the force ... interesting ' Vas looked at shai , Sure she was more used to the feeling of the darkside , But being near a nexus of the darkside no doubt still had an adverse affect on the girl . So as she shivered , He placed a hand on the girl , Purging the darkside exposure to the girl by reducing it down to a trickle .

He didn't fully remove its affects , He needed to get her used to being exposed to such energies if she was to have any chance at make it through what was to come ... so he'd allow small doses to leak through , Build her resistance, And hopefully keep her from being snatched away from his control .

" It'll be okay " He brought her close , Her shivers calming down somewhat .

The rest of the group all had various reactions to some degree, leska having the worst as she nearly threw up from the vicious waves of dark beating down apon her from the environment around them .

As they each withdrew from the force, Nox allowed them a reprieve, Somewhat similar to how he was shielding shai , But far less compared to the level of protection he was placing apon the girl .

" And now you see ... if anywhere has the knowledge to resist the tenpations of those darkside entities , It's here " Vas ascended the stairs to the temple, Looking at the broken in doorframe that lead into the building to where letha had long ago grown into the woman she had become .

" Remain alert ... there's no telling just what has made their home here " He pulled out his single bladed saber from his left hip , stepping around a boulder that was placed before the temple entryway .

Moving hanging moss out of his way , Vas ignited his orange coloured saber to illuminate the darkness beyond the boulder standing in the entryway of the temple .

Shimmying past the boulder, Vas saw the ancient statue that once stood proudly within the temples entryway , Now broken down with half of its head missing , The rest sat at the foot of the statue.

' How sad ' He thought nostalgicly , As much as he had hated the jedi for the vast majority for most of his life , Be had always had a grudging if not minuscule amount of respect for the jedi , And to see his ancient foes home reduced to such a state , Brought a not so small amount of vicious internal victory, And a small amount of sadness that he would never face the foes he had once grown to know .

' Oh well ... No reason that I can't make more jedi like they were back then ... ' Vas thought internally , The others sliding lady the boulder , Igniting their sabers to illuminate the dimly lit temple hallway .

" Tread carefully , there's no telling how structuraly sound the temple is at this time and age " Vas stepped forward , Pretending to feign his knowledge of the temples layout , Walking around the corridor into the main central chamber of the temple where an ancient device used to float , The winding staircase leading to the second floor , Now only having one side that was able to be used , As right ward staircase was nothing but rubble , A wreckage littering the sides of the ancient Rhombicosidodecahedron named the eye of zallow that used to float at the centre of the chamber.

" I can't imagine how beautiful this placed would have looked back in the day " Soon mumbled to the group , all in agreement as they looked from left to right at the rubble .

" It would have been quite a sight " Vas responded, Turning to the group " Let's split up for now , we'll clear the first floor then head up to the second together " Vas instructed , splitting into three groups as shai and vas went forward, Cross the chamber , Kento and mallie heading left whilst soon and leska headed right.

Finding mostly nothing but rubble and wreckages on the first floor ,The group of jedi found themselves gathered before the remaining sweeping staircase to the upper floors.

" Find anything " Kento asked leska , The group shaking their head , Having found absolutely nothing of importance.

" Nothing ... just wrecked beds , food turned to dust and destroyed lecture halls ... there's nothing of value for us to find on this floor " Kento explained as Vas and shai joined them , Shai carrying a sort of lock box under her arm.

" The archives seemed to be out of commission,Currently were be unable to access them since the temple is in such a ... dilapidated state ... they'd need their power sources to be recharged and right now m.. we just don't have the time or resources to do such a thing " Vas explained with a hint of annoyance being inserted into his tone .

" Then what do we do " mallie asked , Looking with kento directly at vas .

" We check the upper level before deciding on anything else ... if we don't find anything we come uo with plan b " He explained , With shai coming from within the darkness lugging something along with her.

" And what did you find " Mallie asked , Seeing the box shai was carrying , Approaching as the girl brought it forward to show .

" Its an old tapestry we found. We thought we should bring it back , heritage or something like that " Shai opened the box to display one of the many banners that used to hang from the walls of the temple . Whilst somewhat torn and weathered , It was till in relatively repairable condition .

" Good idea " Kento smiled down at the girl, Shai giving a broad smile as she tucked the tapestry back under her arm .

" Let's head up and see what we can find shall we " Vas stepped onto the old staircase.

" We shall " soon joined vas , Illuminating the way with their sabers , making sure to step over large cracks in the staircase or fallen debris , At one point they had to hop up a couple of steps to ensure an unstable slab didn't dislodge and cause the whole foundation to crumble.

' It should be the northern spire where the archives are kept , And the council chambers ' Vas squinted as they stepped onto the second storey, Looking around in curiosity.

' Right through there huh ... ' At the top of the sweeping staircase , Vas looked at the wide double doors that lead to the council of first knowledge beyond ' That's where they made the order to destroy my life ... my son and my wife ... '

" check around first ... ill try and find a way to open this door without bringing the temple down ontop of us " Vas drew everyone's attention from thesesled double doors towards the other branching corridorshwsding to the east and west towers along with the hangers .

" We'll go right ... you wanna tale that way " kento lead the division of the team, the other readily agreed as vas approached the double doors .

Splitting away , Vas pretended to be studying the door mechanisms , As shai settled herself down on one of the broken statues, Looking at her master through the shadows .

' Let's just get through the temple before we start branching out ...they should have something laying around... a lost holocron or something I can pretend to learn from ' Vas schemed internally , Prying open

...an access panel .

' everything really is out of power up here huh , maybe I'll have to just pry it open , But maybe I can ' He felt the locking mechanism behind the door , Usually magnetically locked in place to ensure the door remained closed , Was nothing but a stopper at this point , Keeping the door still ' No doubt keeping the door from being opened despite being out of power ... a manual lock as well as a powered lock to keep the door sealed incase of power outage '

" Alright I think I got this figured out " Vas took a step back after a good ten minutes , waiting Intentionally for the others to return .

" Having abit of trouble huh " Kento approached , Offering friendly banter to which vas chuckled .

" Not at all " Vas gestured at a seemingly useless part of the wall , Making a lifting motion with his hand " Like so "

And with a swipe of his hand , With the locking mechanism put of the way , The door simply slid across the frame it was connected to , Groaning as the rusted metal ground against itself.

" And there we are. .. the way is open " Vas dusted off his fingers , Sending a small smirk at kento before simply strutting on through the doorway .

The council chambers beyond had a small ray of light cutting through a hole in the ceiling , Casting small rays of light on the table in the centre of the room .

Destroyed chairs circled the table , With pits and pieces of debris lining the room , Having squashed several of the chairs , And now due to their age , the debris were worn. Broken down and dull in colour.

" Is this ... " Soon began, Analysing the chamber within as the six stepped forward to regard the ancient council chambers.

" The council chambers of the old jedi order " Vas spoke up , Wincing his head slightly towards the chair the grand master once sat .

What took him completely by surprise however , And the others was the energy that seemed to ripple through the room at their arrival .

" I have been waiting for you " Vas'lucis eyes widened , The five jedi with him stepping back ad a very recognisable figure appeared from where the grand masters ancient seat stood " For a very long time "

The snarl that threatened to rip through Vas'lucis caused his chest to rumble , He ruthlessly squashed his presence in the force , Binding his emotions with masterful control so that he wouldn't have an outburst infront of the jedi .

' You wont get the satisfaction from me ... Satelle ' Vas squinted at the long dead jedi grand master .

" Who are you " The spirit immediately picked up on Vas'lucis feigned ignorance , Smiling slightly go herself , She was well aware of his true identity, his true nature all but bled from him into the force .

' So that's your desire chosen of the force ' Satelle nodded to herself , Stepping across the rubble and towards the man she could recognise , But not the face ... instead she knew his body to be that of the son of the barsenthor .

" I am grand master Satelle Shan , master of the order during the great galactic war thousands of years ago , And I have been waiting for you ... direct descendant of the great barsenthor " Satelle looked towards one of the destroyed seats lining the chamber , A small smile playing on her lips .

" Barsenthor " Shai mouthed the unfamiliar term as satelle pointed directly at vas .

" I've never heard that term " Mallie spoke up half sceptic , The group subtly reaching for their weapons.

" A title reserved for the most prestigious among our order ... " Satelle began as she reminisced about Letha's induction into the order " reserved for those whom have the heart , The wisdom and the power to safe guard the galaxy in the bleakest of times ... "

" She was the most powerful jedi I had ever seen , The strongest on the council ... During her time on the council that is " Satelle lamented , Walking to letha's old council seat and resting her hand on the debris .

" What happened to her " Shai asked in genuine curiosity about her masters ancestor , Approaching the seat with an awed look in her eyes.

Meanwhile, Out of view of everyone as his face was hidden by the shadows of the room after he had cut off his saber . Vas's jaw quite literally ground together, hus face contorted with a look of silent fury and pure hatred.

" During the time ... several large political issues were going on throughout the galaxy . The republic was in shambles ... the sith at the time were ... biding their time . And the powers that be followed neither the republic or the empire " Satelle fixed vas with a saddened look .

" As a neutral party ... the jedi were supposed to be impartial to the larger conflicts going on . But seeing the good the powers that be were doing through the galaxy ... letha sided with them ... announcing the were doing what was best for the galaxy , Better than the republic and the empire... and I couldn't help but agree . But I was supposed to be impartial ... "

Satelle winced as Vas'lucis eyes flashed yellow for the briefest of moments .

" But why did she leave ... " Shai continued on , Satelle turning her focus to the girl .

" The jedi served the republic at the time ... and the republic made the decision to ... remove the powers that be from their state of dominion ... something that letha was firmly against " Satelle whispered out , refusing to meet shais eyes " And the jedi joined them... all except for letha "

" Let's get back to the ship " Kento looked at the others , All agreeing before turning away and running back to the corvette parked across the promenade.

Several long seconds of silence passed , The occasional grunts of satelle echoing throughout , Feeling her connection with the cosmic force being pulled at asvas mulled with the thought of tearing her from the force and consuming her .

" Yes ... " Satelle whispered , Not out of fear but out of understanding , It was her own actions and that of her people which had lead to this , This was simply the consequences of her actions.
