Chapter 33: time to pay the Piper

[Next morning Uzumaki compound]

Naruto, after getting up and doing his normal routine, leaves his bedroom and sees both Tsunade and Shizune coming out of their bedrooms down the hall. He then gives a nod of the head as the three of them head to eat breakfast.

As they are walking down the hallway bypassing a few of the traps some of the children that had already set up this morning with Shizune making a comment about where they get all the energy from which made both Naruto and Tsunade begin to laugh. Turning one of the corners they see a long line of children waiting outside one of the bathrooms. As they are passing one of the girls is pounding on the door telling the person in there to hurry up so that she can get ready for the day and so she can make herself look beautiful. Right as they are passing, they hear a male voice from inside make a comment about how she would need longer than a day to make herself look beautiful and not to get her panties in a twist. This makes the group stop to see what would happen.

The girl's face suddenly took a dark turn as she then begins to try and rip the door down even though it was locked as she began yelling and screaming but the door would not open no matter how hard she tried. All of the other children had backed away from it deciding that they would use the bathroom later.

Tsunade, who was at the back of the group, reaches out and grab the door handle and pulls the door just enough to break the lock. She then gives the girl a wink of the eye. The girl slowly opens the door and stepped inside and everybody can hear the shower going. She then turned around and as she is closing the door the look on her face had sent a cold shiver down the spine of all the boys who saw it.

Naruto can even hear the voice of Kurama making a comment.

"I do not know what it is about the female gender that makes them so scary brat whether or not, it is a human or a fellow demon, there are just some things you do not say to them first thing in the morning about their looks if you do not have a death wish."

From within the bathroom, a high-pitched girlish scream can be heard, the door then flies open and a naked boy comes running out with soap bubbles on him, he then makes a beeline down the hall. The girl comes out and says "all I did was ask him if he wanted me to wash his back for him" with an evil grin on her face. She then looks left and right and sees all the children have left and says "well I guess it's my turn." She then turns around and goes back into the bathroom closing the door. Naruto shakes his head and says something under his breath making both women look at him and say "what was that" which he quickly looks away and does not notice the evil look in both women's eyes along with the smiles on their faces.

[Breakfast room]

Shizune was enjoying a bowl of oatmeal when she looked to her left when one of little girls sat down next to her. She was able to recognize her as Myou due to her pointy black hat but she noticed that she had added 2 little pins to it, one being a smiley face and a frowny face.

Myou, who had grabbed an orange and was trying to peel it but was not having any luck, she then looks at Shizune and says "can you help me auntie?"

Shizune takes the orange and starts to peel it and says "of course, by the way I like your hat," which made the girl smile even more. Shizune then says "what made you decide you wanted to be a witch?"

Myou then says "because witches are cool, although I can't be one yet because big brother won't make me a flying broom." As she looks at him with a little pout on her face.

Naruto, who had just finished his breakfasts, then says "I am not going to give a 7-year old a broom to go fly through the air. I told you I would look at making one for you when you were older."

Myou then says "well if you won't make me a flying broom how about a flying carpet?"

Naruto looks at her and says "I will have to think about it." Making a large grain breakout on the little girl's face.

His attention is quickly drawn to one of the children, who had been trying to salt his eggs but the top of the salt shaker had fallen off. Naruto instantly looks at one of the kids next to him and says "I know that it was you. What have I told you about pulling pranks at the dinner table?" The boy replies "not too pull any pranks at the dinner table."

Naruto then says "so what do you call that?" The boy looks at him and says "I pulled a prank at the breakfast table, not the dinner table there by using your own logic against you, big brother." Naruto looks at him for a moment then says "you are correct when you say that but now you need be on guard for when he will get back at you."

Then he stands up and says "due to new information coming to me last night I am officially locking down the compound until further notice. No one is allowed to leave the compound. I hope to have this matter resolved soon." He then looks at Hinata and says "I'm going to need you to come with me today to the meeting as you are acting as my advisor. I would need you there."

Hinata looks at Naruto and says "very well but I need to advise you that if this is going to be a formal gathering, we need to dress appropriately and not dressing in our normal clothes. I would suggest we wear the ones we wore when we first came back to the village."

Naruto gave a nod of the head. He then looks at Tsunade and says "do you have any formal clothing, if not, we can stop and pick you up some?"

Tsunade shakes her head and says "don't worry about it. I have what I need. I might have been out of the game for a while but I still have what I need."

Naruto turns to Hinata and says "I will meet you at your room in a little bit then we will head out."

[10 minutes later]

Naruto, after putting on his official head of family robes, approached Hinata's room and sees Hanabi walking out of it. Naruto says "good morning. I did not see you at breakfast this morning so I'm going to tell you the compound is on lockdown and you are not allowed to leave." Hanabi replies "it's OK, big sister told me everything. She's in her room brushing her hair waiting for you to go."

She then turned around and walked in the opposite direction but had he been facing her he would have seen the evil grin across her face.

Naruto shrugged his shoulders, walks up to the door and opens it and says "are you ready to go Hinata?" But stopped dead in his tracks. Because the moment he opened the door he came to the site of a completely naked Hinata, who was in the process of putting on a pair of orange panties. The only thought going to his head was how truly attractive she looks now that he was getting a full look at her body with nothing hiding it. He was snapped out of it by a loud scream and a large heavy object hitting him in the face.

[Hinata POV]

Hinata, who had just said goodbye to her little sister, looked at the clock on her desk to see she did not have much time. Quickly standing up, she takes off her pajamas and walks over to her dresser and opens the top drawer to see all of the pairs of panties she had. She then decided to grab her favorite pair of panties which were a soft color of orange. She had bought this pair because she thought it would give her the confidence to talk to Naruto and the fact that it was his favorite color did not have anything to do with it.

She had just put in her first leg to the hole when her bedroom door opened, thinking that her sister had come back she looks up and sees none other than Naruto standing there. She could tell by the look on his face, he liked what he saw. She can also see a bulge in his pants beginning to form. This made her smile that he would find her attractive. Then the part of her brain that was a teenage girl finally kicked in, letting out a loud scream she grabbed a desk lamp and without thinking throws it at him hitting him in the middle of the face.

[Compound front gate]

Tsunade was talking to a disguised Minato and Kushina, who were once again wearing black cloaks and wearing the fox's masks. The conversation was stopped when they see both Naruto and Hinata walking towards them but what drew their attention was a large bruise on Naruto's face.

Kushina, who goes into mother mode, was checking on her baby asking him what happened and who attacked him. Making all sorts of threats about what she's going to do when she finds the person who dared to attack her baby. Some of the threats that she says has both of the children questioning her sanity, especially Naruto when he hears her mention a technique, he is familiar with, the Hidden Leaf Village Technique: One Thousand Years of Death but with a pineapple.

Tsunade walks up to the kids and crosses her arms and says "so what happened? I know for a fact you did not have that bruise a little bit ago."

Hinata, whose face was crimson, then explains what Hanabi did and what happened after he opened the door.

Both Kushina and Tsunade look at each other before collapsing on the ground laughing their heads off.

Naruto turns to Hinata and says "you know we cannot allow her to get away with this. We will have to do something about her." Hinata looks at him and says "I cannot agree with you more. I might not have been into pranking like you but with all the different times I've watched you, I think I've learned a thing or two."

[Elsewhere in the compound]

Hanabi suddenly had a very bad feeling that she might have gone too far with the last prank.

[Front gate]

Minato was hanging his head shaking it while he is thinking to himself how his son can get into all these different situations and came to the conclusion it has to be from his wife's side of the family.

After getting over the laughing fit both Kushina and Tsunade walk up to Naruto and each one of them grabbed one of his ears.

It was Kushina who says "it would seem that the women forgot to teach you one of the most important rules about girls and women, so it is up to me. So, from now on when you walk into a girl's room you knock on the door before you open the door."

With Tsunade adding in "and I better not find out you go and brag to all of your little buddies about seeing her naked" with both women twisting his ears.

Naruto was begging them to let go of his ears while saying that he had no intention of telling anybody. When they let go of him, he says under his breath "why do girls and women always grab the ears?"

Hinata uses her right hand and gently rub his left ear and with a smile she says "because they are good attention getters" she then gives him a kiss on the cheek.

Kushina leaned her head over to Tsunade and in a whisper says "don't they just make the cutest little couple and you can already tell she's gonna have him wrapped around her finger in no time." She then claps her hands together and says "I think a nice summer wedding would be lovely don't you." Tsunade lets out a chuckle and says "I quite agree with you."

Hinata, who had managed to hear them, turns to look at them and says "I'm sorry to inform you but I've always had a nice winter wedding in mind."

Naruto looks at the thee women, who were now walking next to each other and whispering to each other. He then looks at his dad saying "I am scared dad."

Minato looks at his son and says "you should be, especially when they get like this son."

As the group walks through the village, Naruto has to listen to 3 giggling women and a certain fox who would not stop making comments about a lavender eyed girl while sending him pictures in his mind from the incident.

[Hokage Tower]

As the group made its way up to the office, they had stopped talking and had gotten into formation with both Naruto and Hinata in the front followed by Tsunade and walking on either side of the group was Minato and Kushina.

Aimi looks up upon hearing a noise and when she sees Naruto, she crosses her arms and looks to the left and says "and here I thought I heard something but I must have imagined it."

Naruto says "so that is how it is going to be huh?" He then turns to Hinata and gives her a wink. Reaching into an inside pocket he pulls out a piece of paper when suddenly there's a puff of smoke signaling a storage seal being released revealing a large chocolate cake.

He then says "I wonder if anybody would like a piece of this double chocolate fudge cake top with rich dark chocolate frosting along with raspberry jam in the middle and sliced strawberries on top and with caramel drizzle across the top as well."

In the blink of an eye, the cake disappeared from his hands when he looked at the corner, he saw Hinata, Tsunade, Kushina, and Aimi fighting over the cake. Each of them had a bib and a fork that they had pulled out of nowhere.

He was attempting to back away from them but he felt two hands on his hand shoulders. Looking back, he saw Minato and Hiruzen, who had come out of the office.

Hiruzen says "there are just a few things in this world that never ceases to amaze me and this being one of them. Putting a cake in a room with women and they will naturally fight over it. And I am glad that you learned that lesson from the incident that happened on Hana's 15th birthday." Naruto suddenly had a flashback of Hana attacking her brother for taking the last piece of cake.

After the women had finished off the cake Naruto looks at Aimi and says "so am I forgiven?"

Aimi, who turn to him, and says "you're forgiven Naruto-kun."

Naruto then looks at Hinata, who had a little piece of cake on her cheek. He then walks up and picks it off and put it in his mouth then gives her a kiss on the cheek and says "thanks for saving me a piece Hinata-chan."

Hinata put on a smile and says "at least we won't have to worry about finding a baker for the wedding cake" as she heads into the office making the 3 women in the office laugh. As she was walking away, she is making sure to swing her hips side to side in a seductive way but what was making the women laugh harder was the look on his face.

Naruto looks at his dad and says "all I did was ask her to be my girlfriend and now there is nothing but talk about a wedding. I don't get it."

Hiruzen put on a smile and says "that is the mystery of women that we men have not been able to decode."

Tsunade, with a smile on her face, heads into the office as she says "and you never will because you are simple minded men."

As Naruto was walking in, he says "I swear if one of you women would ever sit down and write a book with the title "the key to understanding women for idiot men" you would make a fortune."

Tsunade turns to him and says "who says we haven't?"

Hinata with smirk on her face adds in "if your gender can't understand it, that is not are problem. But I will say you seem to be very close as you do have an understanding of some of the things of women."

Hiruzen, who had sat back down behind his desk lights up his pipe and says "so how big of a headache are you going to give me today Lord Uzumaki?"

Naruto says "well I wouldn't have to give you such big headaches if you would keep your village in line. The first reason I am here to tell you is I have made the decision as the Daimyō of the Land of Whirlpools and as the acting clan head for both of my families, I have appointed Hinata as my advisor and she will be able to act in my stead if I am for any reason out of the village. And the second reason why I am here is while I was out on my mission to retrieve Tsunade several members of your village including four members of your civilian council decided that they wanted to go to my compound and take my property, as it had previously been locked down they were under the impression that they could. But like any good leader I have left a security team that I hired from the Land of Waves who managed to apprehend them and kept them in my holding cells until I returned. I then had them interrogated last night and I come to find out they have been stealing from my clan funds and have all but drained my accounts."

He then places several envelopes on the desk "these are copies of their interrogations and what we were able to get from them. I have also discovered the remaining 3 members have fled the village and I have put a bounty out on their heads. By noon today, wanted posters will be all over the village along with several other smaller villages all around the Land of Fire. I have also sent one of my colleagues to the Daimyō of the Land of Fire and he is no doubt on his way here."

Hiruzen was quickly looking through the paper work. He is snapped out of it by Naruto saying "you do realize this could be seen as your village committing an act of war by stealing my clan funds."

Hiruzen was quick to say "I assure you I do not want that" he had no doubt in his mind that if it came down to a war that several of his village clans would side with him and says "I will make sure that this matter is quickly taken care of."

Before anything else can happen, a new female voice cut into the conversation saying "well if I were you, I will hurry up." Everybody in the room looked at the window to see a woman in a black cloak with a Golden cat mask. Almost instantly three members of ANBU Black Ops suddenly appeared with Cat, who quickly drew her sword and rushes toward the woman in the window seal, quickly block the attack as the 2 women fall to the ground wrestling each one of them trying to get in upper hand.

Naruto with his foxy like grin says "now that's what I called cat fight."

This comment made everybody else in the room hang their heads in disappointment.

Hinata looks at him and says "Naruto-kun, while I love you and I will give you credit for that one, it is not the time for jokes."

Tsunade walks up to the fighting women, grabs them by the back of their cloaks and lifts both of the women off the ground. She then smashes their heads together and says "now are you too done acting like children?"

Hiruzen looks at Naruto and says "please control your ANBU Naruto."

Naruto crosses his arms and says "if that's not the pot calling the kettle black. It was yours that attacked mine."

Naruto then turns and says "now Cat do you want to explain yourself?"

Yoruichi crosses her arms and says "I didn't do anything. I come in here to deliver a message and get attacked.

Naruto looks at her and says "I was not talking to you I was talking to Cat." Yoruichi with a grin behind her cat mask says "but I am Cat."

Yūgao decides to get back at him as well and says "I see how it is, you go away for a month and find yourself a new cat. I'm not good enough for you anymore Naruto-kun." She then walks up and hugs boar saying "after everything we done for you" as she begins to fake cry.

Yoruichi decide to continue the game by saying "I guess he just decided to upgrade and get the newest model."

Yūgao look at her and says "that might be true but you gotta remember the original is always better."

Both women are having a staring contest behind the masks, you can also tell by the way they are standing that they want to attack each other. Naruto puts up his hands and says "now, now ladies let's put away the cat claws. I've got more than enough room in my heart for both of you."

This proves to be the wrong thing to say as both women give him a whack on the head sending him to the floor.

Both Hiruzen and Minato have the same thought going through their head 'I saw that one coming.'

After managing to pick himself up off the ground, he looks at Yoruichi and says "how did the meeting go with the Daimyō?" Yoruichi looks at him and says "he was not to happy due to the fact that on the papers were several names of his own council that had been slipping in papers into the stacks of paperwork they gave him every day that allowed them to pass those laws that your prisoners named. When he found out about how they had drained your account, I thought he was going to bust a blood vessel. He is on his way here right now and has given me an order to tell you to have the council ready. He would also like for you to have the 4 prisoners brought to the room so they can be questioned in front of him."

Naruto then turned to Hiruzen and says "well you call in the clan heads in along with your elders." Hiruzen put down his pipe and pinches his nose and says "Cat."

Both Yoruichi and Yūgao both have matching grins behind their masks answer "yes?"

Hiruzen with a small grin of his own as he says "I am not falling for that one. I have more than enough experience on how to avoid it. Now Cat will you please send a message out."

Yūgao says "yes Lord Hokage" then she and her team then quickly disappear.

Naruto then says "Cat, you and vixen go and get the prisoners and bring them to the council room" both women giving a nod of the head before disappearing.

Hiruzen turns to Naruto and says "were you really going to declare war over this over something so small?"

Naruto walks up to the window and looks out at the village with his back turned to him and says "a good leader will never seek out a war but a wise leader will always be prepared for it. I have to protect my people. And every time I turn around, I find out this village has hurt me in more ways than I can count. And yet I will protect it to my last breath even if I have to protect them from themselves."

Hiruzen with a large smile on his face says "spoken like a true leader. I am glad to see you have begun to follow in that belief and I am sure one day you will make a fine Hokage."

Naruto turning to look at him says "a month ago I would've been happy because you say that because it was my dream to become Hokage because I wanted the village to acknowledge me and I wanted the recognition and their acceptance. I believed if I became Hokage I would get it. Ever since the complete truth of my heritage has become known to the villagers, they have accepted me. The people walking up to me during the day and apologizing to me for the way they treated me. I now realize that becoming Hokage was not necessary for that to happen. I also realize the responsibility that comes with the title of Hokage. I always believed that it meant that you would be the leader and the people had to follow you and do what you said but I now know it is more of a burden because when you become Hokage the people will look to you for guidance when they are lost and have no hope. You will always have to be a pillar of strength and to be strong for them when they cannot be strong."

Naruto says "due to all of my new responsibilities I realize now that I can never become Hokage due to the fact that I cannot protect my people by sitting behind a desk. I want to be a symbol for this village and a voice that will answer anyone who cries out for help and I will be a beacon of hope. One that the people can look to the horizon and they will know the enemy will have to get by me and that I am out there and ready to become a shield for them."

He then says "I have always wanted to help people ever since I could remember and that is one of the reasons why I began to study how to be a medic. I never wanted to be on the battlefield and standing over my friends and know I was helpless to help them."

Tsunade cut into the conversation by saying "if you're interested, I'm willing to continue your training you said you're not interested in being a full doctor but I can continue your medic training. And from what I understand Hinata wants to become a doctor as well. If you both do well maybe you could take over one of those clinics that you wanna make one day."

Hinata replies "I would like that. I always wanted to play doctor with Naruto-kun but I always pictured myself as the nurse." She then gets a look and says "I believe that Naruto would look really cute in a nurse's uniform." Hinata's face goes red in embarrassment as she says "I said that out loud, didn't I?"

Everybody in the room looks at her in surprise but it is Naruto who says "I'm sorry to inform you but there is no way I can be a nurse."

Tsunade gets a look on her face and says "and why not? Are you saying that all women have to be nurses?"

Naruto quickly shakes his head no and says "that's not what I meant. What I mean is I don't have the legs for the skirt." As he begins to stick out his leg making everybody in the room laugh.

Naruto then turns to Hinata and says "let's go and get everything set up in the meeting room Ero-Hinata" making her face go up in redness level. He stopped at the door and says "Hiruzen you have been slowly gaining my trust back so I will give you one thing, you asked me where I got all these strange powers my answer is simple sometimes the dead are not always as dead as you would believe."

After Naruto and Hinata along with the Fox masked ANBU had left the room, Hiruzen looks at Tsunade and says "I see both of his parents in him. He has his mother's brute strength and his father's intelligence and to be truthful it is a little bit frightening. I can tell he is going to bring about a great change to the world and I can only hope that I'm able to see it."

[Council room]

It had been 2 hours since the meeting had been called and they were still waiting on the Fire Daimyō. They had just received a message that he had entered through the main gate and would be here any minute.

Naruto was sitting in between Tsunade and Tsume with Hinata sitting right behind him and you could tell by the look on his face that he was not happy. As all 3 of the women were telling him to sit up straight and stop slouching in his chair. What was making it even funnier was Hinata kept on delivering Juken pokes to his back when he did not do it automatically.

Naruto turns to his left and says "pst, pst hey Shibi, change places with me." The Aburame turned to him and says "I believe the correct phrase is not on your life Uzumaki-san." This makes both women on his sides laugh even more.

Tsume looks at Tsunade and says "he acts just like his mom, maybe we should dye his hair red." Tsunade makes a comment about his round face and says "he would be another tomato and even more like his mother" this makes everybody who heard it laugh.

A few moments later the doors to the room slammed open as the Daimyō walk in with about 20 different samurai behind him. Not even acknowledging the people in the room, he goes to his seat

Once the Daimyo had sat down in his seat, he turned to Tsunade and says "it is nice to see that you have returned. I'm only sorry that it has to be at this time, we will have to make a time when we can catch up."

Tsunade gave a nod of her head and says "it's nice to see you as well."

The Daimyō then turns to Hiruzen and in a voice that demanded respect says "now you can explain to me how this happened. Allowing your civilian council to steal two of this village's clan money. On top of the way you allowed this village to treat him for the last 12 years. Next to me he is one of the closest things to royalty in this land."

Hiruzen says "when he was thrown out of the orphanage, I was in a tight spot. The only way I could get him in an apartment was allowing the civilian council to have control over both of those clan accounts. I had made them promise to make sure they grew so that one day if we ever found someone from those families, they would have access to them and I never believed that they would actually steal them. They had sent me reports every now and then showing that they were. I now know this was a lie now.

The Daimyō says "oh I am quite aware that they were lying to you as I have found people in my own council, they were working with them. But that does not excuse you from this. I am beginning to believe that you are no longer able to do this job and as such I am here by removing you from the position of Hokage and I will be naming your replacement at a different time and while you will still be in office until that time you will actually have no power. I will also be removing your elders, if I find out that they were in on this."

He then turns to Naruto and says "Lord Uzumaki did your ANBU give you the message I asked for?"

Naruto looks at him and replies "yes your lordship they are waiting in one of the side rooms" he then called out "Cat, Vixen please bring in the prisoners now." One of the side doors open and both women bring in 4 people tide up in chains. The moment they were in the room they began to shout and ask for help claiming that they were attacked."

The Daimyō in a voice that demands respect says "be quiet you are no longer allowed to talk unless you're talked to directly. You are going to explain what you think you were doing by stealing from two of the villages clans and do not even think about lying as I have already gotten the information from my own people that you were working with."

Naruto stands up and says "actually I can make sure they do not attempt to lie" as he walks down the stairs, he reaches into his pocket and pulled out a glass medical vial "due to a connection I have in the Land of Waves an associate of mine who happens to be a scientist was able to make this. It is called sodium ethanol. And once it is ministered to the patient it will affect the prefrontal cortex effectively making it impossible for them to lie."

Naruto was cut off from his speech as a book hit him in the face.

Tsume with her ever present grin says "stop trying to act all smart pup and just say it's a truth serum."

Naruto, with a childlike pout on his face, looks up at her and says "I am not the one on trial so why are you throwing the book at me?" This makes everybody in the room hang their heads in embarrassment. He then says "but I am surprised that you of all people were able to tell what sodium ethanol is" he then breaks into his fox like grin saying "what do you know, I guess that old saying is true you can teach an old dog a new trick" everybody in the room begin to chuckle at this.

Tsume looks at him and says "you know you're gonna pay for that pup. I might be an old dog but I still got some bite in me."

Naruto then walks up to one of the women and says "now this truth serum will work on civilians but will not work on ninja as good due to civilians not having training and for some reason the ninja chakra network also stops it from working" he then put the contents of the vile down her throat and over the course of the next 30 minutes the prisoner explain why they do not believe that they should be punished.

Then one of them steps forward and says "after everything that demon did and how he destroyed the village we had a right to take his money besides both of his families are as good as dead anyways why should he have all that money when we poor civilians couldn't? The only thing I regret is never getting my hands on the compound. Hiruzen should have tricked the brat into opening the door years ago and all empty buildings could have made the village even more money by selling the property not to mention all the things that was inside it. The elders made it clear to us that there was no chance of anyone ever showing up as a member of the family, that is why we made the law that said after 5 years if it wasn't claimed we could claim it.

Naruto then says "if the reason you took my money is because my family is dead why did you not do it to Sasuke Uchiha?"

The he turned to him and says "at least his family stayed in the leaf village and not gone back to their little island. But it doesn't matter in the end anyways they got what they deserved."

The Daimyō then says "I have heard enough with all of the evidence that I have gathered from my own investigation I'm here by charging all of you with treason and sending you to death" he then makes a hand jester to one of his samurai in wanting to take them away. As they were being dragged out of the room, they were screaming that he could not do this to them.

The Daimyō clears his throat and says "on behalf of the Land of Fire I apologize Lord Uzumaki for what my village did to your family. I will personally make sure all of the money is put back into your account and if you wish I will have all the property that they bought with it given to you."

Naruto stands up and says "thank you but I will not be taking the property. we Uzumaki's cannot in good conscience take a home from someone else but having the money returned to us will be more than enough. As to the homes and businesses that they bought I have a suggestion, all of the money that is made by these businesses either by renting the property or income should be put into a special account that can help the less fortunate maybe even buying more buildings to add to make even more money. That way the village can have a way to help the people who need it." Everybody in the room looks at him in shock and wondering why they had not thought of that themselves.

The Daimyō shakes his head and says "I like your suggestion on what to do with the property and will see to it that it gets done by the new Hokage, but I do not believe that is enough so as the Daimyō of the Land of Fire I am here by ordering the Leaf Village citizens for the next 20 years will pay a monthly tax of 1.3 percent to your family as an apology for everything that was done to you."

Naruto, after having a whispered conversation with Hinata, turned back and says "on behalf of the Uzumaki family I thank you for the generous gift. But I ask you to do me one small favor there are several families that never once done harm to me" as he makes a motion with his hands to the clan heads "my fellow clan heads have always treated me with respect and have always treated me as a member of their family along with several other people within the village, I would ask you to please pardon them to this new tax."

The Daimyō gave a nod of his head and says "if you make out a list, I will see to it that they all are spared from this new tax."

The Daimyō then says "now that that has been taken care of, we will return to the new topic appointing a new Hokage." He then says "do I have any recommendations?" Everybody in the room began to look at each other.

Hiruzen slowly gets up to his feet and says "originally I was going to ask Tsunade to take the seat." Everybody begins to nod their head while looking at her.

Tsunade was sending a look of death at her teacher.

The Daimyō put his hand on his chin and nods his head and says "would she be up to it though? From what I understand she has been traveling for the last decade and has been out of the system since she left."

Hiruzen replies "I am sure that she would do just fine and I will be able to help her get settled in."

The Daimyō looked like he was about to say something but suddenly stopped.

Before anybody in the room could react Naruto along with both of the Fox masked ANBU seemed to vanish and reappeared on the other side of the room slamming into Danzo with both ANBU holding a sword at different parts of his body. Naruto had his hand on his chest with a seal glowing.

Hiruzen along with everybody else in the room quickly stands up and says "what is going on? With their attention away from him no one noticed the Daimyō was looking around confused while he is holding his head.

Naruto, without turning around, says "he was attempting to use a Genjutsu on the Daimyō." He then reaches up and removes the bandages around his right eye as he says "it was coming from here" everybody in the room let out a breath as they see underneath the bandages that Danzo had a Sharingan.

Before anybody could move 2 cloak figures wearing white masks with ne on the forehead suddenly appeared in the room but before they could make a move, Yoruichi was quickly able to knock them out. Both of them now laying on the floor before her.

Naruto quickly put on his special glove while everybody was looking at the scene taking place behind him, he then quickly slammed his hand into Danzo's chest ejecting his spirit from his body.

Hiruzen was quickly on his feet and at Naruto side only to see that his former friend is now dead. He then quickly says "what happened?" Naruto replying, "he tried to activate a dead man switch on his body. From what I can tell it would have caused an explosion that would have taken out the entire tower. I was able to stop the explosion but sadly it still took his life."

Hiruzen called in a team to take away his body along with the 2 other individuals.

Naruto, with the focus off of him, looks at the spirit of Danzo, who had a look of shock on his face as he looked at his body. He then looks at Naruto, who had a grin on his face, taking a step closer to him he whispered "you are going to pay for what you did to my family." He then looks at his parents and says "take him away and lock him up until I get back to the compound" both of his parents grab one of the rest on the spirit and quickly disappear.

The Daimyō then asked "what exactly was happening Lord Uzumaki?"

Naruto says "you see I am a chakra sensor. I was able to sense that he was building up chakra that was emanating from his eye and I was able to recognize it as it had the same feeling as I got from Itachi from my last mission when he was attempting to cast a Genjutsu on me. And added to the fact that you stopped talking and the look on your face told me he was attempting to cast it on you so I took immediate action to stop him. Once I was able to stop him, I notice that he was trying to activate another seal that would have caused an explosion."

The Daimyō says "well it seems as though I now owe you a life debt then along with everybody else in this building."

Naruto replies "you don't need to worry about it. I was just doing my job but I think we should stop this meeting for now, that way Hiruzen can begin to investigate those 2 individuals and see what information he can get from them. But before you leave, I would like to have a moment of your time in private."

The Daimyō gave a nod of the head saying "of course that is not a problem." As everybody quickly begins to leave the room.

Naruto slowly walk up the steps to the Daimyō, stopping a few feet from him as is customary.

The Daimyō says "so what do you have to talk to me about?"

Naruto replies "I am here to ask you for a boon."

The Daimyō replies "after everything you have done for my family, with saving my niece along with my life, I believe I do owe you at least one boon. So, tell me what is this favor that I can give you?"

Naruto says "I would ask you to write out a 72-hour pardon for a select individual to be used at a different time."

The Daimyō looks at him and says "I'm going to take it that this person is a criminal most likely a rogue ninja."

Naruto says "you are correct on that and while he is a criminal what he did was to protect his family and the people he cared about. He chose to become the bad guy that way his family would not have to pay the price."

The Daimyō began to stroke his chin, he then says "who exactly is this criminal that you wish for me to give a temporary pardon to?"

Naruto replies "it is Itachi. There is more to what happened that night that you do not know."

The Daimyō says "I always thought there was. I had met him when he was younger and I could never see him doing what he did without something making him. What insurance will I have that he would not commit any crimes while he is on this pardon?"

Naruto says "you have my word. The only reason he is coming back is to take care of something that I cannot tell you about as of yet as it is a classified secret of the Land of Whirlpools and him and not something that can be talked about out in the open."

The Daimyō replies "I can understand that" he then says "very well I will have it written out and sent to you. But you must know if he commits any crimes while he is on it, I will not be able to help him."

Naruto gave a nod of the head and says "I understand and thank you for this."

[Uzumaki compound]

Naruto, along with both Hinata and Tsunade, had just managed to walk through the main gate and were making their way to the house when they hear what sounds like a fight going on. Rounding the corner, they see Noriko and Nel holding onto one of the boys as Ashia was attempting to shove what looks like a live crow in his mouth.

Naruto, who upon seeing this, began to rub his face while underneath his breath he says "I should have just gotten a puppy. It would have been so much easier" making both women next to him laugh.

The group slowly approaches them and it was Tsunade who says "what is going on here?"

Ashia turned around and says "hi grandma Tsunade" this of course made Tsunade's eye twitch.

Naruto, in a voice that sounds like he does not want to ask it, but says "what are you doing and why are you trying to shove a crow in his mouth?"

Ashia with a large cheesy grin on her face says "he said I could not do more push-ups than him but I was able to do 5 more than him and auntie Shizune said that he would have to eat crow now."

Naruto reaches up and pinches his nose and says "that is not what she meant" as the 2 women next to him begin to laugh.

Ashia look at him and says "so what does it mean?"

Naruto replies "it means he has to admit that he was wrong."

Ashia then says "OK but big brother can I ask you a question?"

Naruto asked "what do you want to know" with her replying "can I keep the crow as a pet?" All it did was send everybody else laughing.

Naruto looks at Hinata and says "I think you can handle this as you are the second in charge" he then quickly disappears.

Hinata look at Ashia and says "if you are going to keep that crow as a pet you have to keep it in its cage." She then looks for Tsunade but sees that she had quickly disappeared as well.

[Holding cells]

Naruto walks in as Danzo was demanding that he be released. Naruto, without even batting an eyelash says "shut up. You don't get to make any type of demand any longer. You are going to pay for what you did to my mother's family. I know all about how you sold them out to the other villages."

Danzo looks at Naruto and says "what are you talking about Uzumaki?" Naruto gives a nod as one of the figures next to the door pull out a device from inside their cloak which begins to play the movie. Danzo says "what I did was only to strengthen and protect the village interest, your mother's family was becoming too strong. They might have one day proven to be even stronger than us and I could not allow that."

Naruto says "I know a little bit about you Danzo, you have always wanted to see the village become strong no matter how many dead bodies have the lay before you to do it."

Naruto then says "so that is going to be your punishment. you are gonna watch the village grow stronger. If you have not already figured it out, I ejected your very soul from your body. No one can see you, hear you, and you cannot interact with anything around you." Naruto then looks at the two cloaked figures and says "meet me on top of the monument and bring him with you" he then disappears with the flash step.

[Hokage monument]

Naruto sees the 3 of them arrive. Walking up to Danzo and says "normally most people would torture you for what you did but that would not affect you so I'm going to do to you something that's even worse." He slowly reaches into his inside pocket and pulled out a vial and says "this is going to be your punishment, this is known as Superhuman Drug (A/N(Chōjin'ya ku), and what this does is when it is administered it is able to make one second seem like 100 years to the victim that it is given to. It will slow down all of your perception of time and space. You are going to stand here above the village and watch it as it grows as time will flow normally for everybody around you but to you centuries will go by slowly."

Naruto walks over to stand on top of the third Hokage's head with his parents dragging Danzo, who was attempting to fight them off to it.

Once they had him facing the village, Naruto says "I believe that this would be the fitting punishment for you, to stand on top of the head of the man who beat you to the title that you always wanted that you were never able to achieve it. You always wanted to have your head up on this mountain and now you're gonna have it but no one will ever see it" he then injects the serum into his body slowly. Danzo began to stop fighting them as his face becomes blank with a far-off look signaling that this drug had taken effect.

Naruto looks at Kushina and says "I know this cannot make up for what he did but I hope this gives you some closure."

Kushina walks up to him and wraps him in a hug and says "you're right, this cannot make up for what he did but knowing that he will have to be punished for all of time it is close enough for me."

Naruto after getting released from his hug says "OK, I need to go do one more errand. You two head back to the Land of Waves, it is not a good idea for you to linger in this village too long."

[Team 10 training ground]

Both Asuma and Shikamaru were both watching as Ino and Choji gave a demonstration of their new powers.

Asuma let out a whistle as he saw the power behind the boots that Ino was wearing. Along with the new ability of the arm of Choji.

The team's attention is quickly drawn to Naruto, who had quickly appeared in the middle of the training ground.

Asuma looks at him and says "what can I do for you now Naruto?"

Naruto with his foxy grin says "well as I have given 2 of your team members an upgrade I think it's about time I give Shikamaru his."

Shikamaru looks at him and says "and what is that going to be?"

Naruto looks at him and says "I'm going to give you the one thing you always wanted more than anything else" as he reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out an item in his hand. Slowly he opens it to reveal what appears to be a gold pocket watch "I'm gonna give you more time."
