Chapter 35: the next mission

[Hokage Tower]

Hiruzen suddenly buries his face in his hands while under his breath saying "I'm getting too old for this shit." He then turned and looked at Tsunade as he slowly reaches up to his hat.

Tsunade seeing this says "don't even think about it you old monkey. I might be getting forced to take that stupid title from you but I'll be damned before I let you give it up before you clean up all of this shitstorm that you left me and even after I have taken up the title, I am making you my personal assistant."

Naruto let out a breath and says "I believe you should let me handle this old man as I am more familiar with the current laws of the Land of Waves, along with having good standing in their country." Hiruzen turned and looked at him and gives a small nod of the head saying "it is probably a good idea." Naruto then says "but allow me to do the former introduction this is Captain of Division 8 Nanao Ise. Captain allow me to introduce you to Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Sandaime Hokage and this is Lady Tsunade Senju. She is his student along with being a member of the Legendary Sannin. She is also the running candidate for the position of Godaime Hokage." He then says "and last but not least Anko Mitarashi, second-in-command of the Torture & Interrogation Department."

Naruto turned to look at Nanao and says "for now please direct all your questions to me Captain." He then says "what are the current charges that he is being charged with?"

Nanao turn to look at him and gives a small bow saying "it is nice to see you again Lord Uzumaki. As to the charges that he is facing," she then pushes her glasses back up her nose and with a very serious look on her face she takes out a book from inside her Shihakusho. She then says "according to the international treaties he illegally entered into one of the nation's military villages, which I am sure you are aware, which is a Class 1 felony in every country who has a military village. He then proceeded to, after infiltrating our village, to spy on our Academy which is a second Class 1 felony in every country who has a military village. He is also being charged with multiple counts of improper behavior with female operatives along with several civilians that he harassed before he was spying on the academy."

Naruto turned and look at Hiruzen and says "you do realize that this means he forfeits his bail, right?"

Hiruzen could only bury his face further into his hands realizing that maybe he should have sent someone more discreet.

Naruto then says "what does the Land of Waves intend to do with him?" Nanao replies "we are willing to release him back to you under the condition that he never steps foot in the Land of Waves again, along with having to pay a fine to the village and to each woman that he harassed."

Naruto took a look at the scroll, he then handed it to Hiruzen to look at. He then says "as I was going to head out to the Hidden Cloud Village, we can stop by and pick him up and have him escorted back here along with having to pay his fine."

Nanao replies "that is acceptable" she then says "now if you excuse me, I must return home to prepare for your arrival." She then gives a small bow and then leaves the room.

Naruto looks at Hiruzen and with a voice as sharp as a blade says "any particular reason why he was in the Land of Waves?"

Hiruzen while he was looking at the top of his desk replies "I had attended for him to survey the village to see if it was actually doing good or not and to be able to maybe integrate some of the changes you made to the academy to the one here. After I was able to read the paper Kurenai and her team handed in it, had me curious."

With a suspicious look on his face, Naruto says "is that true or are you just trying to get more information on me and how I came across all the information I had on my family?"

Tsunade says "even I don't buy that bologna, but we will deal with that later. Let's finish what we were starting with."

Naruto gives a nod of his head and says "that is correct. I will be taking Teams 8, 9, and 10 along with a few others for different reasons. The first one is I believe this could be a learning experience for the students getting to see to one of the other Great Five Villages and how it operates."

"The second reason is each of the Jōnin will each get to play a different role. For Team 8, Kurenai is a well-respected kunoichi and thus I will be able to talk to the hidden cloud's kunoichi in regards to several seals and her presents will help in that regard. As for Team 9, Guy will operate as one of my personal bodyguards and for team 10, Asuma, due to his previous post as one of the twelve Guardian Ninja to the Land of Fire's Daimyō, he will be able to advise me on how to act as one myself. And the last person I will be taking is Sara, that way when I give out the new seals for the hospital in the Cloud Village, she can confirm for them they actually work."

Hiruzen gives a nod of his head and says "I see that you have put some thought into this." He then looks at the paper again and says "but I noticed something interesting. I see that you have removed Hinata from Team 8 and have replaced her with Sakura. Would you care to explain that?"

Naruto replies "while it is true that Ay has no interests in the Byakugan, I would not put it past someone from the Third Raikage's regime to still be lurking around."

Hiruzen, with a proud smile on his face, says "it is thinking like that which will get you far in this world."

Naruto then turned and looked at Tsunade and says "will you be able to accompany us to pick up your teammate and bring him back, preferably without killing him?"

Tsunade, with an evil look on her face as she cracks her knuckles, and replies "don't worry about that. It's not the first time I've had to drag his ass out of the fire." Hiruzen upon seeing the look on her face does not feel any sympathy for his former student. Naruto then says "now if you will please excuse me, I need to go make preparations."

{Outside of the Hokage Tower}

As soon they were outside, he stopped dead in his tracks with a cold shiver running down his back. Slowly looking to his left, he sees what looks to be a large crowd of young girls and women. The moment the crowd sees him, they begin to scream his name "Naruto-Sama!" He instantly bolts to his right, running down the street with the large crowd chasing him. Anko looks at Tsunade and says "you found a good vantage point. I'll go grab a bucket of popcorn" making the older woman smile and said "this should be funny."

{Naruto P O V}

Naruto was quickly bolting down an alleyway to avoid them. He popped out the other side and almost crashes into Hinata and Hanabi. Upon seeing them, he quickly says "you got to help me quickly, they're going to get me." They can hear what sounds like a large crowd looking and calling out his name. Both sisters look at each other and then smile and say "of course we will help." Hanabi then screams out at the top of her lungs.

"He's down on Senju Street, next to the fabric store!"

Naruto, with a look of absolute horror on his face, sees the large crowd of women come around the corner and seems to have grown in size. He then runs off saying he will have his revenge.

Hinata, seeing that he was no longer in earshot, looks at her sister and says "why did you do that?" With her shrugging her shoulders and saying "we said we would help, we never said that we would help him." This makes both sisters giggle. Hinata then says "I don't think he is just having a bad influence on me. I think he's getting to you as well." To which she replies "you say tomato, I say tomato. You have to admit, since we joined his family all of our lives are a lot more interesting. Besides that, we had to have some form of payback for what he said at the Chunin exams. I might not have any more respect for our old family but calling the Gentle Fist a joke and calling us a bunch of chiropractors, let us see who he comes to when he has a sore back." Hinata begins to get a spaced off look on her face.

{Hinata's Mindscape}

In a dark room with a table in the middle of it surrounded by candles is a chibi Naruto laying on top of it only covered with a towel. From out of the shadows a chibi Hinata walks out and begins to rub oil on his back as her hands begin to drift lower on his back.

[Back outside]

Hinata's face had gone completely red with a little bit of blood dripping from her nose. Hanabi looks at her big sister and says "you're having perverted thoughts about him again, aren't you?" She then says "maybe big brother was right and you are one."

Naruto was looking over his shoulder. He sees the crowd of women still chasing him. As he turned back to look in front of him, he sees another large crowd rushing at him. Noticing that he was surrounded that is when he remembers and facepalms himself and says "damn it I'm a ninja, why didn't I think of this before?" He then throws down a smoke bomb filling the street.

Once all of the smoke clears, the women start looking around for him. Then one of them, a tall blonde with blue eyes in a red dress, says "he couldn't have gotten far, let's go this way" making them stampede off. Once the stampede was gone, the woman put her hands behind her back and whistles to herself as she calmly tries to walk in the opposite direction. But is stopped by a hand on her shoulder and a male voice saying "nice try Naruto but I think you and I need to have a little talk." In a puff of smoke, Naruto is revealed. He then turns around to look at the hand and sees that it is none other than Inoichi Yamanaka. Instantly knowing what he wants to talk about, he whispers just loud enough to be heard "I think I would rather take my chances with the fangirl's." He would also swear he could hear laughing off in the distance.

{Uzumaki compound, front yard}

As Naruto was entering the courtyard, he saw that not everybody for the mission was ready and that there were a few people still missing. He had managed to spot Kiba attempting to arm wrestle with Tsunade, who was not even paying attention to him and was talking to his mother while both of his sisters are laughing at him because of how red his face was. He was able to see Shino looking at a few of the insects at his compound. All of team 10 was off to the side talking with their parents.

He also noticed Asuma and Kurenai sitting on one of the benches. As he makes his way of towards the group, he manages to spot Sara walking through the gate. And right behind her was a group of three people. Sakura and Mebuki along with Ainu, who was carrying her little stuffed Phoenix that she had chosen from the toy box. He then turns directions and heads towards them.

Sakura, who was wearing her new battle outfit, says "sorry if we're running late, my mom is just dropping me off as she has a bunch of errands to do all over the village." Naruto replies "don't worry about it, we're not ready yet. We're still waiting on a few people." He then turns and looks at Mebuki and says "good morning to you as well." Mebuki puts on a smile and says "the same to you." He then notices Ainu is hiding shyly behind her legs. Squatting down with his foxy grin on his face, he says "and how are you feeling today Ainu-chan? Are you feeling better?"

Sakura says, "there's no need to be shy. Don't you have something you want to give him Ainu-chan?"

Very slowly, Ainu steps out from behind Mebuki's legs as Mebuki reaches in her purse and takes out a piece of paper and hands it to Ainu. Ainu, in a very shy voice as she holds out the paper, says "I drew you this picture to say thank you." Naruto accepted the paper from her and looks at it and sees it is a picture of himself and her. She had drawn him like he was dressed as a doctor, the drawing was very detailed.

And with his signature smile, he says "this is a very good picture. Thank you very much." Naruto looks up at Sakura and says "what do you think of the picture Sakura?" With a smile on her face as she folds her arms over her chest, she says "I don't think you do the picture any justice. The guy in the picture is a lot better-looking." Naruto now has waterfall tears going down his face as he says "why is everybody always picking on me?" Almost in one voice everybody behind him says "because you're an easy target."

Naruto looks at Ainu and with his arm over his eyes and in a fake crying voice says "do you see how they treat me after everything I do for them Ainu-Chan?" But before anything else can be said a new voice cuts into the conversation saying "have you been taking acting lessons from auntie Akari big brother?"

The group turn to look to the voice to find a small group of children with four female adults who were all giggling into their hands. Naruto, still using his fake crying voice, says "what did I ever do to make you all be so mean to me?" And again, almost everybody behind him takes out a book and says "where do you want us to start?"

Naruto decides to ignore them and turned his attention back to the group in front of him and says "and where is your group going?" One of the servants replies "the children want to go see that new children's movie that is out at the movie theater." Naruto managed to catch a glimpse of sadness go across Ainu's face at hearing this. He then looks at Mebuki and says "would you be okay if Ainu goes with them to the movies instead of dragging her around the village doing your errands?" Which earned him a smile and a nod of the head. She then looks down and says "you behave and listen to what they say." She was just about to reach into her purse to pull out some money but Naruto but manages to wave her off and says "don't worry about it, it's been covered."

Before anything else can be said, a loud female voice says "will you two idiots stop it?" Looking in the direction of the voice, Naruto can see both Guy and Lee racing towards them. Then suddenly one of the children suddenly appears in front of them. She was dressed like a security guard and blows a whistle holding her hand up in a stopping manner. Both of them in an attempt to stop, leave a trench in the ground from their feet and managed to stop a few feet from her.

She then puts her hands on her hips and says "what do you think you are doing? You just broke the rules. There is no running at that speed in this house. I'm going to have to write you a ticket." Both men, along with everybody else, looks at him. He then says "don't look at me, she's a stickler for the rules. Even I'm not exempt. I got a ticket yesterday for not brushing my teeth in the morning." The girl turns and looks at him and says "that is because without rules, we would have chaos and this house already has enough chaos."

Naruto begins to rub the bridge of his nose while muttering to himself "all these kids are driving me nuts." This makes all the adults laugh at him, each of them having the same thought going through their heads "this is so Karma."

Naruto looks at Tenten, who had been the one shouting at them as she chased after them, and says "have you been studying the scrolls I gave you?"

Tenten replies "yes I have been studying the one on the Hirenkyaku (Pure Flying Step)." He then says "I will be happy to give you a hand but I believe we should first save your teammates before they get themselves in more trouble." Tenten, not missing an opportunity, replies "that's like saying you can stay out of trouble, a work of fiction."

Naruto decides to ignore her and says "that is enough brat, get lost." The girl looks at him, sticks out her tongue at him and blows a raspberry. Naruto then says "okay so the only one left missing is Kakashi."

Guy gave him a smile and a thumbs up and says "do not worry, he will be meeting up with us at the front gate as I felt you would not want him in your home."

Naruto gives a nod of the head and then sees all of the children along with Hinata and Hanabi along with the main house staff. He goes and stands in front of them and says "now remember while I am gone, Hinata is in charge and I expect all of you to listen to her like you would listen to me." A few of the children make a few comments about not even listening to him which got them bonks on the head.

He then says "now remember if you are going to pull any pranks while I'm gone, remember the most important rule." One of the children calls out "always have a fall guy," another one says "no silly you always have to have an alibi," another one called out "no you always have to have blackmail on the person you are pranking so they cannot tell on you." One of the boys in the back of the group says "always use something shiny or cute when you are pranking a girl" with several of his sister's begin to pummel him, one of the girls says "always push the smallest and slowest of your group in front of them to create a distraction so you can get away if you get found."

Naruto was standing there rubbing his eyes while everybody else was laughing at him, then with his foxy grin he says "no you brats the most important rule is never get caught."

Naruto walks up to Hinata and gives her a hug and a kiss on the lips, with all of the boys making cat calls at him. Hinata turns and looks at them and activates her Byakugan making all of the boys run away. Naruto then gives Hanabi a kiss on the cheek and says "you behave yourself for your big sister and make sure you share your life-size plush doll of me you made and are hiding underneath your bed," making her cheeks go burning red she then turns around and runs into the house with all of the adults laughing at her that she's running.

Naruto looks at Hinata and whispers "let us hope she's not trying to make an anatomically correct one, you might want to check in on her. We wouldn't want her hurting herself at her young age." Hinata replies "we have already had the talk. She's not interested in that stuff yet but I will make sure she's not doing anything that she's not supposed to be doing." But inside her mind she is thinking to herself 'how dare she make a life size doll of my Naruto-kun?'

{Hinata's Mindscape}

We can see chibi-Hinata and chibi-Hanabi are having a game of tug-of-war over a life size doll of a chibi Naruto suddenly chibi Hinata let's go of the doll making chibi Hanabi fall backwards onto the ground. Chibi Hinata then quickly picks it up and runs away.

{normal P O V}

Hinata looks at Naruto and says "how did you know about the doll?"

Naruto replies "the other night I was walking by her room and I heard her talking in her sleep. I poked my head in and I saw her in bed with it snuggling up to it and yes, I have a few pictures I will give you later." Making both of them laugh.

As Naruto is saying goodbye to a few of the other children, when one of the girls walks up to him with a piece of paper in her hands. She then says "excuse me big brother but would you sign this permission slip for me?" Naruto looks at it and says "what am I signing it for?" The girl says "so I can get my get my ears pierced." Naruto then gets a look of trouble on his face and looks at the moms saying "when do girl's normally get their ears pierced?" Inoiki replies "it is normally up to the parent to decide that, because they normally do it at different ages because it's normally a Rite of Passage going from a young girl to a young lady and the girl in question usually has two. This shows she is responsible enough. It is the same way with high heels." Naruto takes a deep breath he knows that she is one of the more responsible of the children he adopted. He then looks at the moms and says "would one of you be willing to take her to make sure she gets it done hygienically and not at one of those places where she could get infection?"

Inoiki replies "I will take her to make sure it gets done correctly." Naruto then says "thank you. Please make sure that she gets something that's age-appropriate and not giant hoops." Inoiki gives a nod of her head and says "I had to start with little studs so that's what she would get." Naruto then signs the permission slip and hands it back to her.

Before he could do anything else, he is approached by a second little girl wearing a soft green dress. Her hair went down to her shoulders, her bangs on her left side were covering an eye patch and in her hands was an empty glass jar and in a very quiet and shy voice she says "I heard you were going to the hidden Cloud Village. I was wondering if you would bring me back a cloud big brother." Naruto got down to one knee and says "of course I will" as he takes the jar then says "although you might have to fight your uncle Shikamaru for it because he might try to take it to float away" this makes everybody in the group laugh.

Shikamaru put his hand in his pocket and says "troublesome" then with a small smile on his face he says "although you might be correct. I wouldn't mind floating away on a cloud." Naruto looks around and sees that everybody is ready to go so he says "let's head to the main gate quickly before my two self-proclaimed bodyguards try to weasel their way into the mission."

As the group heads out, Ino walks up next to Sakura and says "I don't know what game you think you are playing but I'm not falling for it. Acting all nice now to Naruto but if you intend to hurt him, what I did to you back in the flower shop will be nothing compared to what I would do to you."

Sakura replies "I'm not playing any game. He made me open my eyes and see what a failure I was as a kunoichi, because in actuality I was nothing more than a civilian playing. I hope to one day be able to stand next to him as his equal but I know that's a long way away for everything I did to him back at the Academy and after we were put on a team together." She then walks forward leaving her behind. Ino thinks to herself 'I'm going to be watching you and if you take one foot out of line, I'm going to make you regret it.'

Sakura steps up next to Naruto and says "thank you for what you did for Ainu. She has even less friends than I did back at that age." Naruto says "I don't think that's going to be a problem anymore. That group of kids that she went with is quite friendly and love making new friends and you won't have to worry about them abandoning her because us Uzumaki's are like a bad rash you can't get rid of us."

Tsunade, who had been walking behind them, says "you can say that again. I tried for years to get rid of his mother and never could. I even shoved her in a box one time and mailed her somewhere but she just showed back up and despite the fact that I was trying to get rid of her she did bring me back a nice t-shirt."

Naruto then says "I noticed that she was still carrying her stuffed Phoenix that she chose." Sakura nods her head and says "she hasn't let it out of her sight since she chose it, but the weird part about it is she's convinced that it is talking to her in her head. She says that it keeps saying that she's not ready yet and someday soon her power will awaken." Sakura then says "how funny is that, that she thinks a doll could have any power and talk to her?" Naruto, with his signature smile, says "you never know Sakura, in this world anything is possible."

{Front Village Gates}

As the group approaches the gate, they see a large caravan of wagons with supplies. Upon seeing the group approaching them, one of the men leaves the wagons and heads towards them.

He walks up to Naruto and says "Mr. Uzumaki, I would like to thank you for this opportunity that you hired my crew for." Ino was able to recognize him as the man that Naruto had brought to the hospital to help his wife.

Naruto gives a small laugh while shaking his hand and says "no problem." Then asks him "how is your wife and new daughter doing?" The man returns the laugh and says "my wife is convinced that my daughter is already giving her gray hairs." Before anything else could be said, a woman's voice says "keep laughing and when you come back you are going to be on diaper duty." Both of them come to see a woman walking up to them with a baby in her arms and with a look on her face. So with a small chuckle Naruto says "I know that look that she has and it's usually a good idea to back away slowly, so I am just going to say goodbye and if you ever need time off ma'am you can just drop the baby off at my compound. I'm sure my serving staff would be happy to give you a few hours of rest, all you would have to do is mention my name."

Naruto walks back towards his group that is standing next to a carriage with some horses. He also noticed that Kakashi had shown up. Tenten looks at him and says "what was that about?" Naruto replies "a small village on the coast was hit by a storm and was heavily damaged. What some of you might not know is my compound can act as sovereign ground due to my family sneaking in a clause in the contract we signed, so because of this it allows me to have my own military force of Ninja who can do missions for my country. I can also hire different crews of workers underneath my flag."

"And so, the Land of Whirlpools is sending in a care package containing both medical supplies, building materials, food, and clothing, and other necessities. The men and women you see are all members of a construction crew that's going to help rebuild the village and while we cannot rebuild the entire village, we are going to give them what help we can until they can get on their feet again."

Sakura gives a small nod of the head and then says "if their Village has been damaged, how are they going to pay for it?" Naruto replies "we are not charging them monetary value."

Guy gets his attention by clearing his throat out and says "what do you mean you're not charging them monetary value? Then what are you charging them?" Naruto with his foxy grin on his face says "one of the most important lessons I learned in my old neighborhood was if you're the best at a job, never do it for free. This can be taken many different ways. Most people would take this as never do it without getting paid cash or something of equal value to the job but that is not the only way to get paid."

He sees almost everybody in the group nodding their head in understanding so he says "as you probably know by now the Land of Whirlpools has been inactive the last several decades so most people don't even remember us and what I am doing is all of the missions we are currently going to be doing are going to be done for free meaning no monetary value will come to us but we are going get paid."

"By this I mean to charge for something you need to be the best in the business and have a good customer base. That will happen only when you offer initial services for free until you grow your client network to a level to sustain your business."

"This will have the following advantages:"

"You can get a strong core group of initial customers since free services will attract a lot of masses. Since you aren't doing it for the money, there is not much pressure on you. You can do the particular jobs for as long as you like and if you're really that good, your customers will start paying for you if you roll out such a change. If you aren't that good nobody is at loss."

Asuma rubbed his chin while stroking his beard and says "I believe I understand what he is saying because his nation is starting back from scratch he has to get his customer base first and so instead of taking money for the jobs, he is getting free publicity by offering free services to begin with then people see how good they are then they will want to hire them again and this time pay them."

Naruto then walks up to the gate booth to see Kotetsu and Izumo in their usual spot. As Naruto says "my group will be heading out now but before I leave, I have this for you." As he pulls out a scroll of parchment. "There will be a woman coming here within the next couple of days, she will have a copy of this the woman in question is a rogue kunoichi from the hidden grass Village on the scroll you will find that I have given her the full sanctuary of my country along with its protection. When she arrives, you are to immediately inform Hiruzen who will then have her escorted to my compound. Any attempt by either one of you to attack her or arrest her will see both of you end up on my shit list and you know what happens to people who end up on that list." He emphasized this by releasing a little bit of his killer intent making both men sweat and quickly nod their heads.

Kakashi then says "so now you are recruiting rogues. By what right do you have to let her come near our village? For all you know she could be planning to attack the village."

Kiba says "he could be right. How do you know she's not going to turn on you? She is obviously a criminal if she is a rogue."

Naruto crosses his arms and says "first of all I already took that into consideration. But there is an old saying, never judge a book by its cover because not every single ninja who goes rogue is naturally evil. Sometimes they go rogue because they have different opinions of their village. Case in point the one I just gave my country's protection to is only rogue because she refused to do a mission. According to what she wrote me, she was ordered to assassinate an heir to a family who wasn't even 1 yet all because a second family wanted the power that the family had by removing the heir."

"And due to the leadership in the Hidden Grass Village, they don't have any type of limit to what type of mission they would take, unlike the other villages. She wrote that she would have done any mission for her village but she would not have the blood of an innocent child on her hands. I had the story checked out having both Ibiki and Anko do some digging and they both confirm that is the reason she is listed, for failure to complete a mission." After he says this, almost everybody in the group hangs their head in embarrassment due to the fact that they were about to ridicule him.

Tsunade cuts into the conversation by asking "what has she been doing since she went rogue?"

Naruto replies "she didn't give too much information but she did mention she has been mostly doing bodyguard work." Tsunade says "then I do not see any reason to object to it. That village has always been trouble, the fact that they're doing hit's on infants now is despicable."

Naruto nods his head and says "one of the reasons why she contacted me is because she's tired of running and she had managed to get word from what happened at the Chunin exams about my family being back and she remembered the story that she was told by her grandmother about my family always being accepting and willing to give people a second chance."

Naruto says "I believe we are ready to head out now." As he heads towards the carriage and opens the door, only to see both Arisu and Saori bending down so they could not be seen. they were wearing their cheongsam style dresses but he noticed that they had added little pieces of armor to their shoulders. Both of them look up at him with cheesy grins on their faces and say "hi big brother, you didn't think you were going to get away that easy, did you?"

Naruto pinches his nose and says "how did you two get here?"

Arisu excitedly says "we bribed big sister Hinata with a jumbo box of cinnamon buns."

Naruto crosses his arms and says "and what is stopping me from just leaving you here?" Saori with a small smile on her face holds out an envelope to him. Naruto takes the envelope and opens it pulling out the contents. It was revealed to be a picture of himself sitting at a table wearing a big floppy hat and a big fluffy green scarf playing tea party with several of his little sisters.

Ino and Tenten look at it over his shoulder and break out laughing. Sakura, who decided to take a look, says "I don't know what the big deal is he's obviously playing tea party with his little sisters and most big brothers wouldn't do that, so that just means that he's better than most."

Naruto decides to ignore everyone else laughing at him and says "fine the two of you can come but only to the Land of Waves, where you can help Tsunade bring Jiraiya back to the village." Naruto then says "are the two of you wearing your necklaces that you're supposed to be?" Both of the girls give a nod of the head and say "yes big brother we know we are not ever supposed to take them off."

Seeing the group look at him, he then explains that the necklaces have a special function. Tsunade walks up to both the little girls and says "let me have a look." Arisu and Saori pull out a necklace from underneath their collars. As she looks at them, she can see that the necklaces have both of their names along with blood type along with having what village they are from and having their birth date on one of the two discs of the necklace. On the second disc is a list of any medical issues that they have including allergies. Both Tsunade and Sara say "do you realize how much this would help us as medics if we knew what this information was in a crisis situation?" Both women then make a decision to see that this is made a mandatory for all shinobi.

Naruto then climbs into the carriage while muttering underneath his breath about evil little conniving blackmailing sisters. Both Tsunade and Sara climb in the carriage as well, neither one of them trying to hide the amusement on their faces.

Before the group could head out, a shout comes from Kakashi, who is looking at his ninja pouch. Then he attempts to say that he has to try and find his book, that it must have fallen out. He knows he had it when he arrived at the gate, he remembered he was putting it away when he saw that Hinata had arrived with the two little girls and helped them get into the carriage and she had shot him a look of death which is the reason why he had put it away then he had gone to the store across the street to get a drink. He then begins to look around on the ground trying to find it. Naruto says "sorry we do not have time for you to go wandering around looking for your lost book, and furthermore as I am the client of this mission, I would not have permitted you to read that garbage while in the presence of my little sisters." All three of the older women in the group look at him and say "he won't be reading that why we're here."

{Uzumaki compound, Naruto's office}

Hinata was sitting at the desk with her feet up on the desk eating a large cinnamon bun with a box sitting on the desk in front of her, then she looks around making sure no one was looking and slowly pulls out an orange a book out of a pouch. Opening it up to a bookmark she then begins to giggle. As she thinks back to earlier when she was helping the girls sneak out to the carriage and how she found it on the ground and making a mental reminder to herself to hide it because Kurenai would never let her have it.

{Front Village Gates}

Arisu and Saori attempted to get in as well but the door is shut in their faces as Naruto with a very smug look on his face says "I'm sorry but you are acting as security which means you have to walk outside."

Arisu in a very childlike manner puffs out her cheeks and points with her finger at both women and says "what about them?" Naruto says "Tsunade is not officially a part of this mission and I'm not having my head bashed in by telling her to get out of my carriage. As for Sara, as she is operating as the team medic, it stands to reason to make sure she does not become exhausted by having to walk." Asuma gives the reins on the horses a snap to get them moving and as the group heads out, none of them noticed a figure standing on the roof looking at them with red eyes. The figure then says under his breath "I don't know how you became so strong but will I will show you I am the most elite."

After a few minutes of walking, Ino uses her right elbow to bump Tenten. With a grin on her face, she says "so Naruto are we there yet?"

Naruto responded by shooting her with an evil look before putting the curtain down on the carriage making almost everybody else in the group laugh at him.

{Several hours later, nightfall}

After stopping for the night to camp out, Asuma begins to hand out the tasks by saying "Kakashi, you and the other boys will go and collect firewood." He then looks at Sakura "you and Tenten can begin to set up the tents," he then turns and looks at Ino and says "and you can secure the horses. Arisu, offer to help her. Both Guy and I will be doing a perimeter check."

Naruto then says "do not get attached to the horses Arisu. I only rented the horses for the mission." Arisu looks at him with big puppy eyes and says "but I want a pony big brother." Naruto begins to rub his forehead and says "where are you going to keep this pony if I get you one?" Arisu replies "it can sleep in your room."

Naruto looks at her and says "and where am I supposed to sleep if a pony is in my room?"

Arisu with a big smile on her face says "you can sleep in big sister Hinata's room because you love each other," as she wrapped her arms around herself and began to make kissy faces at him. Naruto begins to get a headache and says "I'm not dealing with this get her Akamaru." With that the little white puppy began to chase her.

Naruto begins to pull out several scrolls and says "I will go ahead and whip us up some dinner." He then releases several storage seals revealing a collapsible stake and camping table and all the equipment he would need for cooking. Ino, after making sure the horses were secure, walks up to him and says "do you need help?" Only to have a soup ladle shoved in her face and Naruto saying "get away now. You know you're not supposed to be near a kitchen, not after what happened when you were 10 years old and you decided to experiment in the kitchen." Ino crosses her arms and pouts and says "it wasn't that bad." To which he replied "you set water on fire." Everybody who was still in the camp that heard this began to laugh at her.

{Sitting around the campfire, during dinner}

Tsunade was quietly laughing to herself after hearing a story from Sara. Sara, who was still chuckling to herself, says "yes it still brings a smile to my face when I think about how Naruto turned the Children's Ward into a circus because one of the children's parents were not going to be able to give her a birthday that year due to having fallen on hard times which had resulted in her crying herself to sleep leading up to her birthday."

Naruto with small smile on his face as he says "I always thought as a volunteer at the hospital that laughter was always the best medicine." To which both women have a smile and says "in some cases you're right."

Arisu looks at Naruto and asks "can you tell us a story before we go to bed big brother?"

Naruto replies "I suppose" he then thinks to himself what story he can tell. He then says "ok this is the story about a princess and a magical fruit and the princess's name was Kaguya Ōtsutsuki." He then launches into the story that he was told by the Sage of Six Paths.

Those sitting around the fire were looking at him as he finished his story by saying "so both her sons Hagoromo and Hamura managed to strip her of her powers, each taking a portion of them themselves then they sealed their mother away so she could never harm anyone ever again, and the moral of the story is never seek out ultimate power because it would just corrupt you."

"And to finish off the story Hagoromo, who had sealed the ten-tails inside of himself and became the first jinchūriki decided that the power was too great for any one person to wield so after dealing with his mother, he used his Yin-Yang Creation of all Things and split the power of the Ten-Tails into the Nine-Tailed Beasts we know today. He saw these nine creations as his own children and named them as such. The tailed beasts in order of their number of tails goes: Shukaku, Matatabi, Isobu, Son Gokū, Kokuō, Saiken, Chōmei, Gyūki, and Kurama." He had made sure to leave certain aspects of the story out not wanting certain pieces of information to get out.

Asuma, who was looking at him in shock, asks the question everybody wanted to know "where did they seal her away and if it happened so long ago, I'm surprised we have not found the tomb." Naruto with a small smirk on his face as he says "that is the beauty of the of it, they locked her in a prison in plain view." He then pointed his finger upwards, making everybody in the group look upwards towards the full moon. While everybody was trying to come to grips with what they learned.

Tenten then says "a while ago you mentioned you were a descendant of the Sage of Six Paths, how is that possible?" Naruto says "we of the Uzumaki Clan are the descendants of his youngest son Asura, which had inherited his father's physical body and his spiritual energy he never really shown any talent for the way of shinobi and always chose the path of peace and love but his brother Indra which had inherited his Dojustu and powerful chakra where he was seen as a prodigy and had wielded that power, but his belief was it is only with power could you achieve peace drove a wedge between the family. But Hagoromo had to pick a successor before his time ended so he had chosen his youngest Asura to carry on his will for peace before his death. Which naturally made his older brother furious and there has been hatred between the two families since."

Sakura says "you said you are a descendant of the youngest son are there any descendants of the older son still around?"

Naruto looks down and says "yes there are two descendants still left the only remaining members of that branch of the family is Sasuke and Itachi." He then says "now I believe it's time for these two to go to bed." He then looks at Sakura and says "if I'm not mistaken you drew the short straw and are on guard duty first." He then reaches into his pocket and pulls out a book and hands it to her "that is an introduction to medical ninjutsu. With your ability to recall almost everything that you read and you're almost flawless chakra control, I never understood why Kakashi never capitalized on it during the Land of Waves mission when you were able to do the tree climbing exercise almost your first time."

Tsunade looks up at Kakashi who was sitting up in a tree branch having refused to eat any of the dinner that Naruto had cooked and says "that is something that you and I will be talking about once I take the hat."

Sakura says "thank you I will do my best to study from it." Naruto says "this ninja art is considered one of the most difficult as it requires precise chakra control, above average intelligence and advanced medical knowledge to effectively use it to heal without accidentally causing more harm. It is one of the reasons why medical ninjas are considered one of the most dangerous of all." Letting off a small joke he says "because not only do they know how to put you back together they also know how to disassemble you in the most effective way." Making both medical ninjas look at him with a grin and simultaneously say "you can say that again."

{The next morning, approaching the Land of Waves}

Naruto looks out the window of the carriage and says "Kurenai, you might want to have a word with Kiba regarding certain laws in the village that we are coming up to." Kurenai nods her head and begins to walk next to her student, explaining about how his normal behavior with looking at women would not be tolerated this time.

{Entrance to the Great Naruto Bridge}

Standing at the entrance to the bridge was none other than Soifon, along with a dozen men and women dressed in black from head to toe. Soifon takes a step forward and says "identify yourself and state your reason for being here."

Asuma says "greetings I am Asuma Sarutobi. I and my party are transporting the Daimyō of the Land of Whirlpools to the Land of Lightning. but we were informed that you had captured a prisoner and we are here to retrieve him before we head out." Naruto then climbs out of the carriage and says "I believe Nanao will have informed you of us coming."

Soifon replies "she did" she then raised her left hand and snaps her fingers making the figures disappear and in a very harsh tone she says "you will follow me. Anyone attempting to leave will be registered as a threat and detained." Making everybody from the Leaf Village nod their heads in acceptance.

{Outside the academy}

As the group walks down the road and comes to the front of the academy. They are met with a site that makes most of them break out laughing. In one of the training grounds, they can see what looks like a teacher disciplining a few of the students.

Said teacher was Yoruichi and she was standing in front of a trench filled with mud as she was shouting at 3 female Academy students saying "how are you ladies liking those mud masks?" As she was making them swim laps in the trench. "This is what you wanted to learn about right? You were reading those magazines when you were supposed to be studying."

Tsunade was able to recognize her from the meeting as she then says to herself "I got to remember this. It is a good form of punishment for fangirls." Sakura leans over to Ino and says "good thing that wasn't a punishment when we were in the academy," getting a nod of the head in agreement.

{Academy hallway}

As the group makes their way towards the holding cells, Naruto was explaining everything he could about the academy to those who had not been there. He had just finished explaining about one of the classes when suddenly from around the corner, one of the Academy's students that he recognized as Kaori came running around and crashed into Sara, falling back to the ground and scattering her papers she was carrying. Sara, who had managed to not be knocked down, looks at her and asks "are you going to be okay?" Kaori replies "yeah, I'll be okay. Sorry for running into you. I'm running late for one of my classes," as she begins to pick up her papers. Sara reaches down and picks up one of the papers and looks at it seeing as it is a drawing of a human hand and along with the wrist labeling each bone. As she handed back to her, she says "you missed one bone there are 27 bones not 26."

Kaori looks at it and says "I knew I was missing one. Thank you." She quickly added it to the drawing. Tsunade, with a small smile on her face, says "so you want to join the 4th division huh?" Kaori crosses her arms and replies "I had no choice because of my stupid boyfriend Inari. He is joining one of the heavy assault divisions, whose idea of fun is beating the snot out of each other and it's left to me to put his sorry butt back together," making most of the group laugh at her.

{Holding cells}

Jiraiya was sitting in his cell with his back facing the cell bars as he was thinking to himself of how he got himself into this mess while also trying to figure out how they managed to detect him. Being a stealth master, he should not have been picked up so quickly. He was brought out of his thoughts by hearing the door behind him open. Letting out a breath he was about to turn around when he heard the sound of knuckles being cracked and a voice that had made his blood run ice cold say "hello Jiraiya."

[Omake: Team Alpha versus Team Konohamaru, round one]

Konohamaru and his friends, Udon and Moegi, having just finished their day at the Academy were heading home. Konohamaru says "I can't wait for the boss to come back so he can teach us some more stuff." As they are walking around the corner, they see a box laying on the ground. The group walks up to it and sees no writing on it so Konohamaru picks it up and looks at it and says "well there's no writing on it so let's open it and see if there's anything inside of it that will tell us who it belongs to." Moegi replies "we should just take it back to the academy. Maybe they can find who it belongs to, we should not open it." Konohamaru decides to ignore her and opens the box anyways. Upon opening, it triggers a paint bomb showering them in red paint.

Konohamaru, after managing to get the paint out of his eyes, says "who could have done this? The boss is out of the village on a mission and he is the only other prankster in the village." Before anything could be said by his friends a paper airplane flies over and hits them in the head. Opening the paper so he and his friends could see what was written on it they find.
