Chapter 41: a lesson learned

[Kumo]

Once the beam of energy managed to subside, all of those gathered around were able to see as Naruto had his chakra sparking off him like electricity.

As the cloud ninja then pulls out a large spear in the shape of a lightning bolt, letting off a laugh he then says "why don't you pull out your little blade there little boy because today you are fighting the Thunderbolt of the Hidden Cloud Village. With my Swift Release bloodline and my lightning Nature chakra I might as well be a Thunderbolt."

Naruto crosses his arms and says "I'm not going to use my blade because your blood isn't worthy enough to touch it. I would never allow someone like your blood to touch my blade." All around him, all of the ninjas' eyes widen at the insult but if you had looked around any of the ninjas carrying blades nodded their heads in agreement.

Naruto then looks at the man and says "this is not the place to have this battle." He then snaps his fingers and opens a Garganta which revealed a nighttime desert with white sand then says "if you're man enough to fight me then follow me."

But before he could walk towards the Garganta the sound of a voice comes towards him and says "don't even think about leaving us out of this Naruto." As he looked to his left Naruto saw Shikamaru and Choji.

Choji, who had already activated his power, says "if you think for one second, we are not going to get our pound of flesh from him for what he did to Ino, you're dead wrong." And for the first time in a long while he was able to see a look of anger on Shikamaru's face.

Shikamaru simply says "she's the closest thing we have to a sister and after this, the three of us will be having a talk about what she was doing in your room with no clothes on."

Naruto simply lets out a breath and says "great, the older brothers."

As Naruto looks at the cloud ninja and says "let's just see how strong you really are Thunderbolt. If you really want to fight me, you will follow me." The man let's off a chuckle and says "and why should I follow you when we can do it here?"

Naruto replies "this might not be my home village but I would not risk the safety of the civilians in this village to pamper your ego." Naruto then vanishes, appearing mid-air and delivering a kick to the man's side, sending him flying through the Garganta.

As Naruto along with Shikamaru and Choji make their way to the Garganta, Ay along Bee and Yugito following them. Asuma also headed in their direction as well. Naruto stopped before he could walk through as he senses another presence on the roof. Looking back, he saw none other than Sakura with her large club. He then says "Sakura, I know that you want to join this fight but you are not ready yet. You told me when I visited your home that you wanted to get my forgiveness and respect back for the way that you had treated me, so here is your chance. I am asking you here and now to protect Ino with your life. If you protect her, you will have got my respect back."

Sakura nods her head while gripping her club then says "you have my word Naruto," and watches as he walks through the Garganta. Sakura is standing there looking at the place where her teammate had disappeared when she hears the voice of Sara saying "and that is the reason why Naruto can never become a medical ninja." Sakura looks at her and asks "what do you mean by that?" By now the rest of the leaf party was watching.

Sara, with a small smile on her face, said "when you become a medical ninja, there are three crucial rules that you must follow, that was set down by lady Tsunade. The first one is 'No medic ninja shall ever stop medical treatment until the lives of their party members have come to an end.' The second one is the reason why Naruto would never be able to become a medical ninja it states that 'No medic ninja shall ever stand on the front lines.' He would never be able to stand on the sidelines and watch as his friends risk their lives. And the third rule states 'No medic ninja shall ever die until they are the last of their platoon.'"

Sakura gave a small laugh and says "even I know that Naruto could never stand on the side lines while his friends risk their lives. It is just not something I could picture Naruto doing."

She then strapped her club on her back and headed in the direction of Ino, who had joined the group and picked her up and threw her over her shoulder while saying "ok Ino-pig, according to the book I've been reading since you suffered a head injury, you are going back to bed as Naruto put me in charge of you, so I'm going to make sure you're okay. When he comes back and if you try to put up a fight I will just tie you to the bed although I might just do that anyways because I might get bonus points from Naruto because he might like that."

Ino had a large grin on her face as she was being carried back into the hotel. She then says "trust me billboard brow, I'm not the one that you need to worry about being a freak in the bed. According to Hanabi, who has read her sister's diary, Hinata has one very dirty mind. Apparently, she had a whole scheme planned out to seduce Naruto. Apparently, it involved convincing him to help her with her training after the academy let out for the day at one of the training grounds and when he got there, he would have found her totally naked in an inflatable pool filled with ramen and fish cakes on her nipples. Another one of her dirty little fantasies is she's always had a secret dream to have Naruto screw her on a top of a giant cinnamon bun with lots of frosting."

Upon hearing this, all three members of Hinata's team went red in the face, not realizing that their shy teammate was so dirty-minded. Kurenai begins to rub her forehead while muttering to herself "I really got to have a talk with that girl."

[Konoha Hokage Tower]

Hinata was sitting in one of the chairs, reading a book on medical ninjutsu that she had been given by Lady Tsunade. She then suddenly looked up and began to head towards the door, making both Tsunade and Shizune look up and ask "where are you going?" Hinata replies "I do not know why, but I suddenly have the urge to strangle my little sister."

Tsunade, with a smile on her face, says "I see you got the big sister vibe going. She probably did something. I used to get it all the time with my little brother. I'd be out doing something and suddenly I would know he was misbehaving. Like the time I caught him showing his little friends a pair of panties." She then smiles as she remembers the beating that she gave her little brother for that stunt.

Tsunade then let out a laugh and says "well if you needed an alibi let me know. And just so you know, I always found that a good place to hide bodies was in the Forest of Death. The animals in there are good at disposing of bodies and of any evidence." The group then watch as she walks out the door and closes it.

Hiruzen, who was sitting at his desk, let out a small laugh and says "I find it funny that Naruto managed to find a girl who reminds me so much of his mother. Able to be all shy and sweet one second and then a raging beast in another."

Tsunade let off another laugh as she says "just imagine what she's going to be like when she's pregnant. I remember how Minato was always finding reasons to be in meetings because of her mood swings. It didn't stop Kushina from crashing those meetings and yelling at him though that he had gotten her fat and she was demanding of ramen."

Shizune let off a giggle and she says "I don't think that's going to happen this time. I believe it's going to be cinnamon buns. We both saw what happened this morning when that boy took the last one off the table and she all but tackled him. I found it hilarious watching them roll around on the ground as he kept the cinnamon bun right out of her reach commenting about how she's supposed to be the big sister and teach the younger siblings how to share." This comment makes everybody in the room laugh, including the hidden ANBU.

[Naruto POV]

After Naruto stepped out of the Garganta, it quickly closed behind him. He then looked across the nighttime sky and across the white sand desert. Looking to his left as Yugito says "where are we? I've never seen a desert like this before."

Naruto crosses his arms and as he looks at the man across him and says "and you never will. This is the realm of my summoning. Welcome to Hueco Mundo. Now that we are here, I no longer have to hold back. I can go all out and unleash all of my fury without having to worry about hurting anyone."

As Naruto says this, he then looks across to the man who had managed to stand back up after being kicked.

The man begins to twirl the spear in his hand as lightning crackles around him. Dashing forward in a burst of speed and plunging the spear towards Naruto, everybody is shocked as Naruto grabbed the spear by the blade as lightning danced around both of them. Before anything else could happen, Naruto yanked the spear forward throwing the man off balance and delivering a body blow to his stomach sending him flying backwards. With Naruto holding the spear in his hand, he then throws it backwards, making it land next to the group. He then says "watch that for me, would you?"

Naruto then steps up next to both Shikamaru and Choji and says "no holding back and no restraint this time."

Walking up next to him, Shikamaru replies "don't worry. This is one of the few times I'm willing to let go of my laziness. This bastard hurt Ino." He then reaches into his pocket and pulls out the gold watch that Naruto had given him. With his signature smile on his face, he says "it took me a while but I finally got the hang of using this thing."

Naruto looks at him out of the corner of his eye and says "just remember to make sure you do not break a contract."

Shikamaru chuckles and says "don't worry. I've been practicing. I've got a few down. Any idea of what we're facing here?"

Naruto then says "this is the Thunderbolt of the Hidden Cloud Village, specializing in high-speed lightning style." Before Naruto could say anything else, the man disappeared in a burst of lightning, appearing in front of him covered in lightning. As he was about to deliver a punch to Naruto, he was caught off guard as Choji appeared next to him, slugging him in the side with his fist while letting off a burst of spiritual energy, sending the man flying and bouncing off the sand dunes.

After managing to bounce off several of the sand dunes, he came to a quick stop and managed to get back to his feet. Going through a series of hand signs he calls out "Lightning Style: Lightning Dragon Jutsu" sending it flying at Naruto. Only for Naruto to quickly vanish. Appearing behind him to deliver a punch to the back of his head but he quickly dodged it, only to be caught off guard by another punch coming his way from Choji, but he seemed to vanish in another burst of speed he manages to appear a few feet away from them. That's when he hears a voice say "I think it's time I got a shot off."

As they all looked to the left, they saw Shikamaru holding the pocket watch out. He then clicks the button on top of it and everybody around the field heard the sound of what sounded like a clock tower going off. When suddenly what appeared to be glowing numbers appeared around him making it look like he was standing in the center of a clock "I think it's about time you punched out for the day. Your time is up." Making a punching motion with his hand, number one and number two went flying at the man. Upon hitting the man, they caused an explosion that made him go flying once more.

As he manages to get back to his feet, he was about to attempt another attack when suddenly his feet begin to sink beneath the sand. Naruto, who upon seeing this, says "good job Shikamaru. Hold him there as long as you can."

Shikamaru replies "do whatever you have to do. This contract is not going to hold him for long. It will only hold for a few more seconds as I haven't got the full control over it yet."

Naruto says "don't worry. I got something I'm going to try." He then holds out his right hand with a palm facing up and begins to build up his chakra and he begins to spiral it around his hand, creating a Rasengan. Quickly using the Flash Step, he appears before the man, calling out "Rasengan" right as he managed to jump out of the sand as the contract ended and thrust the Rasengan into the man's stomach and due to the Rasengan being pushed into his stomach, he was sent spiraling like a pinwheel backwards. As He then crashes into a stone, making it fall on top of him.

[Sidelines point of view]

As the group stood there and watched the fight happening before them, it was Yugito who says "I got to admit that they have some pretty good teamwork. Even though he's only a B-ranked ninja, those three are making pretty quick work in taking him down."

Asuma takes out his cigarette and says "there's a reason for that. Those three have been friends for years. They know all of each other's strengths and weaknesses. This is one of the reasons why they were not put on a team. They would have overpowered it." He then says "in this generation of the Leaf Village graduating class, each of them has a role to play. Shikamaru is the brain of his generation and he has always been good with strategy and planning and Ino and Choji are always a good support. As for Hinata, Kiba, and Shino they have always been specialized in tracking and recon. Then we have Sasuke, a powerhouse and good with combat but leaves much to be desired due to his attitude, next we have Sakura, it wasn't until recently that she was nothing more than a fan girl but after the invasion she finally had a wake-up call. Now she has begun to finally put the effort into her training. And now we come to the most dangerous member of this generation's class. Naruto Uzumaki. He is the Leaf Village's wild card. He has untapped potential specializing in stealth, evasion, and espionage Along with traps and sabotage. By the time that he was 8 years old, he was able to outrun most of the village's Black Ops. He was able to get into some of the most secure places in the village without being caught. If you look at his academy file, you will see that he was the dead last of his class. He did this by intentionally hiding himself at the bottom so people would underestimate him. There are very few people in the village who know how strong he really is and even then, we don't know if that is true or not. For all we know he could be holding back even more power. But the one thing I do know for sure is, to his friends and allies, he is the greatest source of strength, but to his enemies and those who would threaten his friends and family, I doubt even if you were to combine the five great armies of villages, you would not stand a chance against him in a full-on rage. As you know most academies give their students an assessment test to find out where they would belong in the Shinobi ranks. It just so happened that Naruto Uzumaki scored in the 100% tile in one category."

Yugito looks at him with a raised eyebrow and asks "what was that?"

Asuma and looks at the three Cloud ninja and says "protective instincts."

Suddenly all four of them looked back at the field. As they hear the sound of a name of a technique that had not been heard for many years. The call of Rasengan and watch as Naruto drives it in the stomach of the enemy.

Bee let out a laugh and says "check it out big bro. Looks like number 9 has mastered one of his father's techniques."

[Fight POV]

Naruto watched as he had sent the enemy crashing through a large stone, but to his shock and everybody else's, he got back up. But they noticed that he had a scratch mark on his stomach. Naruto discreetly look to his left seeing that Shikamaru was panting heavily and he noticed that he had used all but numbers 9 through 12 of his clock. Naruto then says "Shikamaru pull out. You're exhausting yourself." Shikamaru was reluctant to leave but gave a nod of the head before jumping backwards.

Naruto turns and looks at Choji and says "you can go with him. I will finish this." Choji nodded his head and says "just make sure you make him pay for what he did to Ino." As he jumped backwards to join the group. Naruto, who is now standing on the battlefield facing his enemy alone, then says "now that we are alone, I can finally cut loose. I'm about to show you a technique that has not been seen on this planet for over a hundred years. It's been a technique that's been kept secret in my family for generations. The last person to use it was my grandfather."

Naruto takes up a new fighting stance with his legs slightly spread, with his right arm tilted on his right side, palm facing up with his left hand matching his hand on his right side. He then says "Uzumaki Style Raijin orchestra." Suddenly all of the wind around them begins to swirl around Naruto, kicking up sand. Slowly six different drums begin to float around Naruto, made of wind and chakra. Those standing off to the side and in front of him, would swear they were able to see a specter standing behind him. The once clear night sky was suddenly coded in dark stormy clouds as lightning danced across the sky.

The groups standing off to the side were shocked at the name of the attack. Yugito subconsciously put a hand over her stomach hiding her belly button, due to the fact that she was wearing a crop top. Making both men laugh at her due to her face going red when she realized what she did.

Naruto, using his right fist, punches it forward and says "the Raijin first symphony thunder-boom palm." And then one of the drums lit up with the kanji for thunder inside of it and the moment his fist was punched forward, it sounded as if thunder was booming. Sending a shock wave towards his enemy, kicking up all of the sand and dirt in front of him. As he was not expecting this, the enemy had been hit with a sonic boom and sent flying backwards, to the shock of everybody watching Naruto seemed to vanish into the air, appearing before the enemy could hit the ground, delivering a kick to the side sending him flying in a different direction, before disappearing again and continuing. It looked as if Naruto was riding the sound of the thunder itself, as due to the fact that every punch or kick he made, a sonic boom of thunder would dance across the air. The group standing off to the side watched as Naruto was using his technique to turn the battlefield into a giant pinball machine. As each kick or punch that he landed the sound of the drums were getting louder as he was never letting up a moment, so when his enemy finally did crash into the ground, the drums had become rapid.

Naruto, along with those on the sidelines, watched as he managed to get back up on shaky legs. All could see that he was covered in bruises. His left arm was hanging limp at his side, clearly broken. Naruto takes up his battle stance again and says "time for the Raijin second symphony. Raijin's smite of the Thunderbolts." As the second drum lit up behind him with the kanji for lightning, the already dark and stormy clouds seem to get worse. Then out of nowhere hundreds if not thousands of lightning bolts begin to fly out of the clouds. Raining down on the enemy but what was shocking was the lightning bolts seemed to be gold in color and to be moving with Naruto's hands as if he was conducting an orchestra. Due to the fact of the drums were still being played that matched with a lightning bolt's landing, the man was desperately trying to avoid the lightning bolts using his swift release bloodline.

Those standing on the sidelines look with wide eyes, as the more experienced shinobi look with shock. Never had they seen a lightning technique like this before. They could all picture it being used on a battlefield, dominating the enemy forces.

Asuma, who had brought out a small portable camera, took a few pictures to show Tsunade. He had no doubt in his mind with everything that had happened recently, Naruto was no doubt going to get another promotion to Special Jonin.

Naruto kept up with the lightning for a few moments more, before canceling it. Revealing that there was nothing but a black and chard husk left of the man. Upon seeing this, he finishes canceling his Jutsu. The stormy clouds seem to disappear almost instantly, revealing the night sky once again. He then makes his way back to the group standing off to the side. He bends down and picks up the spear that was left, thinking that he could have another trophy for his wall.

Once he got back to the group, he says "let's head back home. There's nothing left here." Getting a round of nods of the head, Naruto again opened a way home back to the rooftop.

When the group exited, they were met by a group of Cloud ninja led by Cee, who quickly approached Ay and asks "are you okay? What happened?" Ay, in his normal gruff voice, says "don't worry about it. The bastard's been taking care of."

Naruto looks at Asuma and says "I'm going to check on Ino-chan."

[Girls' room]

Naruto was about to open the door and walk in, but stops as he remembers what happened last time, he walked into a room with Hinata in it without knocking and what his mother and Tsunade had said to him. Reaching up he knocked on the door twice. He can then hear the voice of Kurenai say "one moment please. We are not all decent." He then thanks his lucky stars he had not walked in.

A few moments later the door was opened a small crack by Tenten, who gave Naruto a small smile. she quickly looks behind her making sure all the girls were finished dressing before opening the door all the way in, inviting him in.

As Naruto walks into the room, he can see Ino, who was laying in one of the beds wide awake, but had her arms crossed and glaring at Sakura. She then says "damn it, billboard brow, let me up, I'm fine." Sakura, who was standing next to the bed, says "not on your life Ino-pig."

Naruto, for his part, let out a chuckle and says "I swear you two fight worse than the brats back at my compound. Seriously, you can act like sisters one moment then you can be fighting the next." Naruto had to quickly duck as a pillow came flying at him as both girls tell him to shut up making anyone else in the room laugh.

Before Naruto could do anything else, Tenten was suddenly standing in front of him with large round eyes and a quivering lip as she looked at the spear in his hand. Letting out a breath, he lets go of the spear, deciding that he already had one trophy from this mission, so letting her have it would be no hassle. Tenten let out a girlish squeal as she began to look at her new toy, making everybody in the room laugh at her.

Naruto slowly sat down on the bed next to Ino and says "how are you doing and no joking around. I want the truth." Ino let out a breath and says "I'm fine. It was just a bump to my head. I've been hurt worse in my training."

Naruto wrapped her in a hug while slowly shaking while saying "I'm so sorry. It's all my fault." Ino playfully bonked him on the head and says "you did nothing wrong, you baka. Naruto, you made this night memorable for me. It is something that I'm going to remember forever. Yes, it didn't end like I wanted it to, with me falling asleep in your arms."

And with a soft smile on her face, she says "they told me the moment you saw that I was injured, you instantly went to avenge me against the person who hurt me. You know as well as I do that my daddy's going to absolutely go gaga over that, along with my mother." With a sneaky smile on her face, she then says "who knows. Maybe you can use this as an inspiration for your next book, seeing as you wrote about you and Hinata in the last one." Flipping her ponytail over her shoulder, she says "a young lord going off to battle to avenge the lovely young beautiful princess, who had been injured after a night of passion with the man she loved." Making all of the women in the room laugh.

Naruto shakes his head and says "sorry to disappoint you Ino-chan, but I've already begun my next book. But I will put that plot on the back burner for another one." He then says "I think we should probably get to bed. I have no doubt we are going to have to talk to the council tomorrow." Ino grabs his hand and says "you're staying with me tonight." Naruto shakes his head and says "I don't think that the women are going to appreciate me staying in the room with them."

Kurenai shakes her head and says "I think she makes a good point, and with your room being destroyed, you really don't have a choice. As long as all you do is sleep, it would be fine."

[Next morning]

After a restless night, the group had met up in the morning and went to the council. Spending over 3 hours sitting in the room, listening to them apologize for the actions of one of their own. Naruto had just waved off their apology, saying that he was not going to do anything, as they were not the ones responsible and to punish them for the actions of one was not the actions of a good leader. This had gotten him even more respect from the council. Naruto then went over several ideas that he was planning to see what the council would think of them. Giving them the rough draft. And so, after finally getting to leave the council, the group was now heading down the street on their way to their next destination.

Most of the group had left again to do their own thing. leaving the group as Naruto, Ino, Sakura, and Tenten, along with Kurenai and Asuma, Guy and Sara, and lastly in the group was Yugito, who was acting as a tour guide.

Tenten looks at Naruto and said "I thought your idea for a summer camp idea was brilliant. Getting the academy students from all the different academies together for a summer camp, where they could compete against each other for ribbons was a fascinating idea."

Asuma nods his head and says "that is indeed a good idea, and the fact that you wanted to put sanctions on it so the students could not get too violent was smart. I know that if you preach the idea to my old man, he would definitely support it."

Sara then says "I agree with you but I personally like the idea of doing a medical conference every year. Where all of the top medical ninjas get together and go over new ideas for procedures."

Sakura looks at Naruto and asks "so where are we heading too next?"

Naruto looks at her and says "well the next stop I want to do is, I want to visit the hospital." Before a smile appears on his face as he sees a store to his left. "But before we'd go there, we need to make one more stop." As he heads in the direction of the toy store. As the group walks in, Naruto looks at the girls and says "head over to the girls' section and fill the shopping cart of the toys you would think little girls would like. If I'm going to make a trip to the hospital, I always make sure I bring toys for the kids who are stuck there. I'll head over to the other section for the boys with Asuma and Guy. Also make sure you get a large range of age groups, as we also will be heading towards the orphanage afterwards."

[Hospital]

As the group walks in to the lobby, Sara introduces the group to a man who was standing in the lobby. Naruto, I would like to introduce you to Kenji, who is in charge of the hospital here."

Kenji steps forward and puts his hand out and says "it's an honor to meet you, Lord Uzumaki." Naruto shakes the man's hand and says "likewise. I hope that you like the new seals I was able to give your hospital." Kenji quickly nods his head and says "I found the bracelets and the batteries to be ingenious. Which is going to help so many people. I was able to bring back some retired doctors now that they don't have to worry about draining themselves of energy."

Naruto smiles and says "I'm happy to hear it. I hope you don't mind but I'm here to visit the children's wing. I brought some new toys that I wanted to donate to the hospital so they have something to do. I know how it feels to be locked in a hospital and have nothing to do all day."

Kenji nods his head and says "of course. If we could go this way, I would take you up to the third floor. We have a lovely sunroom where we can set everything up then bring the children in."

As the group makes their way down the corridor, right as they come to a corner, they hear a voice talking. Naruto holds up his hand to stop the group and begins to listen to what is being said.

[Around the corner]

A woman and one of the doctors are standing in the hallway. As the doctor looks at her and says "look you have no more money to pay for your child's medical bills and we have to have your child leave as we are not a charity. We have already given you extension after extension."

The woman begins to tear up and says "but what am I supposed to do if I take her home? she won't make it and I can't afford the medication anymore." The doctor looks at her with a look in his eye and put his hand on the wall above the woman. Using his other hand, he cups her chin, making her look at him and says "you know you're a pretty little thing. If you really want to work out a deal though, maybe we can work something out. As there are other ways you can pay your bills, you know, so how about it? There's a room down the hall, you follow me in there and do what I say and I'll make sure your child gets all the help she can get. I'll even front the rest of the bills myself."

Before the woman could say anything, the doctor begins to scream. The woman quickly backs away and looks at the doctor and sees that his hand that he had on the wall now has a kunai lodged all the way to the metal ring, pinning it to the wall.

The woman quickly looks to her left as she hears a voice say "you disgusting piece of shit! How dare you try to use your place as a doctor to get your jollies off and manipulate a mother trying to seek help for her child!" The woman then sees three girls walking up towards them with leaf headbands, with a group standing behind him. Sakura pressed her large club on his chest and said "you really are despicable. I want to become a medical ninja and watching what you just did sickens me to my core. If it would not start a conflict between our villages, I would beat the living tar out of you." Tenten looks at him and says "you would be lucky if I'll be using you as my new dart board." Ino crosses her arms and says "if I had it my way, I'll go inside your mind and rip your mind apart so you don't even know who you are."

The group stands there and watches as the three girls rip the doctor to shreds. Asuma looks at Naruto and said "I'm surprised you're not trying to get in on this." With Naruto replying "I might not be as book-smart as the next person, but I would like to remind you about rule number six about women is you never get between a woman and what she's mad about or who because that would just transfer their anger to you."

Asuma and Guy both slowly nod their heads completely in agreement with him.

Kenji steps forward saying "I heard everything you were saying. You are fired. I never want to see you anywhere near this hospital again. I do not care if you are on death's doorstep. You never come near this hospital again." He then reaches out and grabs the kunai and rips it out of his hand. The doctor quickly grabs his hand and begins to apply pressure to stop the bleeding. The doctor then runs down the hallway. Kenji picks up a telephone off the wall next to him and tells someone in security to have the doctor removed from the premises as fast as possible.

Kenji, after hanging up the phone, holds out the Kunai back to Tenten, who had been the one to throw the knife. Naruto looks at him and says "as of right now, this woman and her child are under the direct protection of the Land of Whirlpools. I want you to move her daughter to a private room. The woman, who was now sobbing into her hands and was being consoled by Kurenai, looks up and begins to bubble, saying thank you over and over again. Naruto just gives her his signature smile and says "everything will be all right now. But if I might ask, what is wrong with your daughter?" The woman replies "my daughter was caught in a rock slide near our house. her entire left leg was crushed and it had to be removed. She also suffered from a concussion that left her unable to wake up for several days." she then begins to cry saying "I have no idea what we're going to do she will have no way of getting around without her left leg."

Naruto look at Sara and said "I believe we just found our new recipient of the compound I brought." Sara, with a small smile on her face, looks at Kenji and said "I believe it would be beneficial if you would call in some of your best nurses and doctors to watch this."

Kenji grabs the phone again and pushes a button on it and then pages several names to report to the room. After several moments, three doctors with three nurses come walking down the hallway. After greeting each person, the group heads into the room and sees three different beds with three different patients. Two boys and one girl. The group makes their way over to the girl, with the mother telling her daughter that everything was going to be okay now.

Naruto walks over to a countertop, reaches into his inside pocket, brings out a small scroll and releases a storage seal, revealing a small metal box. As he opens the box, there are 15 vials inside of it.

Sara looks at the group of doctors and nurses and says "today we will be demonstrating a new chemical that was developed by an acquaintance of Naruto here. I have been told it is called Hojiku-Zai (Flesh-mending Drug)." Due to Naruto giving her papers on it, she was able to explain what it does in depth, making the group of doctors and nurses eyes go wide and begin to whisper to each other.

Naruto gets their attention and says "due to the extreme pain this will cause I suggest that we sedate her. No child should have to go through this pain." Kenji looks at the mother and says "it is up to you, if you want us to do this procedure."

The mother looks at Naruto and asks "how safe is this?" With him replying "I've seen it used twice before. I watched it as it regrew a leg and an arm without any side effects." The mother reaches down and rubs her daughter's head and says "everything's going to be okay now sweetie." She then nods at the doctors as one of the nurses leaves the room to get the medicine that would sedate her.

One of the other doctors looks at Naruto and asks "is it able to regrow any appendage no matter how long ago it was taken?" Naruto shakes his head and says "I've been told it does not work that way. It has to be a more recent injury. I am afraid due to the chemical makeup of the drug, it can only affect recent injuries." All of the medical staff had understanding look On their faces as it would be easier to do a fresh wound than old wound.

Naruto then says "my acquaintance is willing to sell several vials of this compound to each village, but not in bulk. Due to the fact that he is a believer in the stupidity of people thinking 'oh well. So, what if I lost a limb? I can just have it regrown, so I don't have to take precautions anymore'." This makes everybody in the room nod their heads in understanding. If people knew that they could just have their limbs regrown, they wouldn't care about not being reckless anymore. Naruto then says "he is willing to give no more than 15 vials a year to each village for the equivalent of an A-rank mission." Kenji gave a nod of his head saying "that makes sense and I agree with him. People are stupid if they knew about this. They would instantly stop taking precautions."

Naruto then said "now if an emergency were to arise, I'm sure he could supply you with enough but it would have to be an extreme emergency." Again, getting nods of the head from the nurses and doctors.

Once the nurse comes back with the sedative, they pull the curtain around her bed so the other two patients could not watch. Naruto recommends putting a bike guard in her mouth, just on the safe side. Once the sedative was given, Sara accepts the syringe with the chemical and compound and administers it to her left leg. Those watching are shocked as an entire new leg seemed to grow rapidly from the wound. Kenji steps forward with his hands glowing and begins to do a diagnostic on the new leg and cannot find anything wrong with it besides being slightly tender.

Naruto closes the case and hands it to one of the nurses and says "these have already been paid for through my family." He did not mention to them that he got a discount as the case barely cost him a d-rank mission pay. Once that was done, the group heads back out to the hallway. after saying goodbye to the mother and wishing her well, Naruto then said "let's head up to the sunroom now. I cannot wait to see the smiles on the kids' faces." Kenji looks at the nurses and says "I want you to bring all the children up to the sunroom in about 30 minutes. It would seem that Lord Uzumaki has some presents that he wants to give out."

With the group working together, they were able to set up several tables with all of the new toys and books and games and other things that they had bought. There was an entire table of fresh treats that they had picked up at a bakery. Naruto was standing in the middle of the room when the nurses began to push the children in wheelchairs into the room and he could see that several of the children seemed to get really excited. When they saw the pile of new toys along with the table with all the snacks, his smile got even bigger when he saw one of the girls had a balloon attached to her wheelchair that said happy birthday.

Naruto then goes around to each child and greets them, shaking hands and telling the children that yes, the toys are for them, which instantly had a few of the boys pushing their wheelchairs over to the table to look at the stack of comic books. A few of the girls had rolled over to look at the dolls. When Naruto got to the one that had the balloon on her wheelchair, he looks at her and says "well so today's your birthday, huh?" The little girl nods her head and says "yeah, my mommy and daddy brought me this balloon this morning. they said they would be coming back later tonight with my presents."

Naruto gave a nod of the head and says "well seeing as it is your birthday, it looks like I'm going to have to break into my supply of special presents." Reaching into his pocket, he pulls out a red scroll and proceeds to unroll it. Revealing several storage seals, he then puts his finger and taps it on his chin and says "now what letter does present start with again." That little girl giggles into her hands and says "it is the letter P is for present." Naruto shrugs his shoulders and says "I'll take your word for it. I was never good at spelling." He then whispers "that was why I came in last at the spelling bee at the academy and Miss I eat dictionaries for breakfast," as he points at Sakura, "came in first."

Sakura just stuck her tongue out at Naruto and says "I'm not the one who couldn't spell couch. Honestly, trying to spell it with a K." Making all of the children laugh.

Naruto turns his back and begins to look through the open scroll. Coming to one of the storage seals, he releases it, revealing a box. He then opens it and begins to look inside of it, and begins to pull things out of it. The first thing he takes out is a poncho and throws it behind his back and says "nope, not what I'm looking for." He then begins to pull out more items calling out what they were. "Pogo stick, nope, not what I'm looking for. Ok, let me see some sort of weird flute item," off to the side Ino says underneath her breath "that was a pan flute." Turning back to Naruto as he begins to pull out more items, the children watch as he throws more items out of the box, including a pot, a pirate flag, a pineapple, a parasol, suddenly he jerked his hand back while sucking on his finger.

Ino asked "are you okay Naruto? what happened?" Before he could reply, the group watches as a porcupine crawl out of the box and begins to walk away. Naruto shakes his head and says "I have no idea how he keeps ending up in my box." He then turns and looks at the girl and says "are you sure present starts with p because I'm not finding it."

Off to the side, one of the nurses' giggles in her hand then says "maybe you should try the letter B for birthday present." Naruto quickly packs everything back into the box, then puts it back in the seal before he releases another seal and another box pops out.

Naruto then opens the box again and begins to pull items out and said "okay let's see what we got here. We have a baseball, a baseball glove, we have a bowling ball, some binoculars, the blueprints for my rival's house." He puts those off to the side and says "I will look at those later." Which made most of the boys laugh at it. Naruto again reaches into the box and pulls out a book with the title cooking for dummies. He then looks at Ino and says "hey Ino-chan, here you go. Maybe this will help you with your cooking." Ino crosses her arms and says "you better put that away right now before I come over there and make you eat that book." Naruto replies "well at least this would be edible unlike the last time you cooked."

Sakura, after coming down from her laughing fit, says "oh come on Naruto, her cooking can't be that bad."

Naruto, with a straight face, says "did you not wonder why there was a fence around training ground 44? The last time she cooked, whatever it was escaped in to that forest." Ino was now being held back by Sakura and Tenten while all of the kids are laughing and giggling.

Naruto then goes back looking into the box as he begins to pull more items out which is making all of the children laugh at what he was pulling out. The next item Naruto pulled out appeared to be a boomerang, slowly putting it on the ground, he pushes it away with his hand. Seeing the weird looks he was getting from the kids, he whispers "last time I threw a boomerang, it never came back. I'm still living in constant fear that it's going to come back and hit me."

He then finally pulls out a box and looks at it and says "let's see, a colorful box with a bow on it. Nope that can't be it." But right as he was about to throw it behind him, the little girl says "no, that's the present." Naruto looks back at the box and says "well I guess you're the expert." He then hands her the box, which she hurried to open, which revealed a beautiful handmade doll, which she instantly hugged, making all of the nurses' smile.

Naruto smiles and says "I hope you enjoy it. Now if you excuse me, those cookies at the snack table are calling my name." which started a stampede with the kids.

The end of chapter 41

[Omake: boo]

At one of the mini rivers running through Konoha was Ashia and Noriko and Nel playing in the water, next to one of the bridges. Ashia had just dived into the water to look at the bottom of the river when she spots something. Quickly resurfacing, she calls over to her friends and says "I found something. Help me." With the help of both girls, they managed to pull what it was to the shore, revealing that it was a bag. One of the servants, who had accompanied the girls to the river walks over and sees the bag and asks "what do you girls have here?"

Ashia shrugs her shoulders and says "we don't know. I found it at the bottom of the river." The servant looks at the bag, seeing that it was wrapped in chains, but notices a small name stitched into the bag. Revealing that it said Naruto Uzumaki. The servant points it out and says "well that says Naruto, so it must be his." Noriko says "let's open it and see what it is, so we can return it to big brother." Working together, the three girls managed to open the bag without removing the chains. Looking inside, they see rocks and a doll laying on top of it. Noriko lifts up the doll and asks "why would big brother throw a doll into the river?" She then notices smudged writing on the forehead and shows the servant, asking what it says. Despite it being hard to read, they could make out that it said evil doll.

Before anything else could be said, a large clap of thunder was heard making them all look up. Seeing that it was about to rain, the servant then says "it's time to head home." The girls nod their heads.

Once the girls got home, they managed to spot Hinata and asked her "where is big brother?" She replied that he was at a meeting and he would be home later tonight. The girls then decide to put the doll in his office for him.

[Later that night]

Naruto was making his way through the compound and shaking his head at the once small rain had turned into a thunderstorm with flashes of lightning and thunder. Reaching his office, he walks in seeing the dark office. He reaches over to turn the lights switch on, but right as he does, a flash of lightning illuminates the entire office, and He sees sitting on his desk was none other than the doll that he had drowned years before looking at him, and despite being soaking wet and have been laying at the bottom of a river, the small voice of the doll says "I love you."

Throughout the entire compound every child that had been asleep or sitting around talking to their friends suddenly heard a scream so loud, it rivaled the thunder.
