"It is said that Light comes from the feelings many have when seeking the bonds of companionship, such as love, joy and selflessness. While Darkness is born of feelings one has when they isolate themselves and seek to shut out others. Anger. Spite. Hatred. Despair. Envy.

These very same forces shaped the worlds and managed to become intertwined with the life of those worlds even if they did not know it. It has found its way into beliefs and cultures. Many seek the feeling of warmth Light provides and shun and fear the cold Darkness is known for.

Day seen as a gift of Light, enjoyed and loved by all. While the night is shunned out of the fear of the unknown things that may lurk in the shadows.

However…everyone is constantly tempted by Darkness due to the attributes tied to it. Due to this fact, one may fall so far that there is nothing left but Darkness…even the purest of Light can fall.

Those who wield magical powers be it from Mobius or other worlds are much more sensitive to these forces. We take the abundant natural energy and shape it to our will. Should we fall into great despair or grow a bitter deep seeded hatred we fall to Darkness.

Those fallen to it may even be able to manipulate those who have not. The devils of The Dark World are masters of Darkness and as such can manipulate the Darkness within us all.

"Come on!" Rage shouts. "I didn't come here for a history lesson!"

The crimson hedgehog was sitting at a small table with Ren, the Archivist of The Chaos Guardians. The small, fuzzy blue cat-like creature glared at him. "Your impatience is rather disrespectful, Master Rage." He says sternly.

"Sorry, but I don't have time for this!" Rage sighs.

"Don't have time? I thought you were here to learn more about why we're so particular on suppressing Darkness." Ren scoffs.

"Okay maybe I lied while Chaotix and Dex were here." Rage scoffs rubbing the back of his head. "You know how those two can be…"

"I should have figured. Something happened and you didn't want an earful from either of them." Ren sighs. "Alright then. Out with it. This had better be good."

Rage looked at Ren and sighed heavily. "My friend Twilight…" he says as he looks down at the floor. "…she's in danger of falling to Darkness…"

"Twilight…as in Princess Twilight Sparkle? From Equestria?" Ren asks in shock, his eyes wide in surprise. Rage nodded and clenched a fist in frustration. "What happened…?"

"Nix." Rage says grimly. "She and her friends wouldn't take no for an answer when I went after him and Kira. They insisted on coming."

"You…faced off with Kira?" Ren exclaims. "But…she…"

"She never returned like the others I know." Rage sighs. "She's gone. Then after that Nix…he managed to trap us all. We couldn't use Magic or Chaos…until Christain was able to intervene and Twilight and I were freed before Nix wrangled control back. Probably because we were the most powerful…she was hit by a strange dark magic spell and I…I did something reckless. I absorbed my own Chaos Power to boost my own physical strength."

"I see…so what's been happening to Twilight since?" Ren asks.

"Last night, when the moon was at its peak…she changed. Called herself Midnight Sparkle and was…she reeked of Darkness." Rage says.

"I see…so she was struck with a Dark Corruption Curse…" Ren says as he turns and his hand glows. "From the way you're describing it…I want to say it sounds like Lunae Maledictis Tenebrae Ligaris." As he spoke another book flew to his hand.

"Moon's Binding Curse of Darkness?" Rage asks as he was shown the book. "I've never heard of this one…is it some super rare curse or something?"

"Close. It's not so much rare as it is old…ancient even. No doubt he was probably hoping to use it on you." Ren says, taking the book back and flipping through the pages. "It was quite common in the days leading up to The Shadow War. It's also believed to be where the 'were' curses originated from."

"He was hoping to aggravate my Shadow…" Rage says, holding a hand to his chest. "He should have known that wouldn't work…"

"Perhaps he was taking a gamble." Ren suggests. "You reside much closer to Darkness than the rest of The Chaos Guardians and with the stress you probably had from your friends being hurt…" Ren then stops "Here we are…"

"You found something?!" Rage exclaims.

"Yes…however it's not exactly going to be simple. I hope your alchemy skill is up to snuff Master Chaotic." Ren says as he used some magic to copy a page from the book and give it to Rage. "Only way to cure someone that we ever discovered was a potion."

"Great…" Rage grumbled. He didn't know the first thing about alchemy! He grumbled as he read the page aloud;

Rage sighs "Chaosblood…Demon Blood and Dragon Blood? That's a tall order…" he muttered. "Though the rest won't exactly be a walk in the park either…Mana Powder is basically impossible to find…and Kingsblossum is thought to be extinct on Mobius…"

"I'm sorry if it's not what you were expecting." Ren says using some magic to create a copy of the page "But she's under a powerful spell. I am sure you'll figure something out."

Rage sighed and nodded. "I'll have to." He says. "Who knows…maybe I'll get lucky." He stood up and looked at Ren with a more relaxed expression "Thank you Ren."

"Any time…and don't worry. I'll keep this quiet." Ren says as the two made it to the entrance of the building. "Please let me know how it goes."

"You-" Rage began to speak before being interrupted as Tikal appeared out of nowhere and startled him. Or a projection of her at least.

"Master Rage." She says simply.

"Tikal!" He exclaims before letting a sigh of relief out. "Don't sneak up on me like that…"

"Sorry." She apologizes "but you have visitors on Angel Island and they're demanding to see you. Please, you must come back with me."

Rage sighed in frustration having an inkling as to who it was. "Alright…sorry to be in such a rush Ren." He says to the small Mobian who chuckled and waved him off.

The crimson hedgehog takes out a chaos emerald and with a flash of light returns to Angel Island. Before he could even get his bearings figured out he was tackled.

"Hey!" He shouts in surprise before looking to see Rainbow Dash on top of him. "Rainbow Dash?!"

"What in Equestria were you thinking?!" She exclaims "Why didn't you tell us?!"

"Tell you what?" Rage asks as he manages to get her off of him.

"About Twilight!" She barks looking at him with fury. "You think we wouldn't find out?!"

"We?" Rage asks as he notices the rest of his friends too. "Oh boy…" he mutters.

"Well? You got some explainin' to do partner." Applejack says giving him a dirty glare.

"Right." He sighs. "So what do you know?"

"Not much…" Fluttershy says softly. "Just that Twilight is sick or something and she changed into like her own version of Nightmare Moon…"

"Right." Rage says with a nod. "Then you know basically what I do…"

"Celestia said you had gone to look for some way to help her. Did you find anything?" Pinkie Pie asks.

"Sort of…" Rage answers holding the page Ren had given him up. "Turns out it's some old Dark Mobian curse. It can be cured but…"

"Oh I don't like the way that sounds." Rarity squeaks out fearfully.

"…not only do we have until the next full moon to do so…the cure is a potion." Rage says "…and it's not easy to make either."

Rage handed the page to Rarity who looked it over. "Onyx and Opal? I probably have some of that sitting around." She says as Fluttershy looks at it.

"Oh…I have a ton of Flaxseed. The birds love it." Fluttershy says.

"That's good." Rage smiled. "There's Nightshade here on Angel Island…but I have no idea where to find Kingsblossum. It's extinct on Mobius to my knowledge."

"I've never heard of it." Fluttershy says. "Maybe Zecora knows?"

"Who?" Rage asks.

"Zecora!" Pinkie Pie exclaims "She's a zebra who lives on the edge of the Everfree Forest! She's like suuuuuuper good with potions and she has a weird way of speaking. I bet she'd be a huge help!"

"Wait. What is…sany gwanium…?" Applejack asks, having difficulty pronouncing the word.

"Sanguinem?" Rainbow Dash asks with little effort.

"Yeah. That." Applejack nods.

"It means blood." Rage answers.

"So…Dragon Blood…Demon Blood? and…Pure Chaos Blood?" Rarity asks "Gross…but what is Pure Chaos Blood?"

"Let alone Chaos Blood in general you mean?" Rainbow Dash asks.

"Chaosblood, is from Mobius." Rage says "Chaos Guardians to be specific. We all have this special…quirk in our blood that lets our bodies generate Chaos Energy naturally. We call this ability Chaosblood."

"So how do we get Dragon and Demon Blood then?" Applejack asks.

"We…could ask Spike…?" Fluttershy asks nervously.

"And Demon Blood?" Pinkie Pie asks

"That'll be a tricky one." Rage sighs. "Demons are not only tricky beasts but they're likely not anywhere to be found."

"Let's take a step back for a moment now." Applejack calls. "We should probably see if Zecora can even make this thing."

"Right. Fluttershy, can you take me to her?" Rage asks.

"Of course…but maybe you should…well…" Fluttershy replies but stopped becoming too nervous to finish.

"Should what?" Rage asks, raising an eyebrow and crossing his arms.

"Maybe you should change into a pony?" Rarity suggests. "Most ponies would probably freak out if they saw you like that."

Rage looked at himself, realizing he was still in his Mobian form he rubbed the back of his head and blushed embarrassed. "Sorry." He apologized as he glows and becomes an alicorn instead.

"Better." Rarity says.

"Lead the way Fluttershy." Rainbow Dash says with a pump of a hoof. The yellow pegasus nods and takes the lead with the others not far behind.
