I don't own anything.

As Tanya slept on that fateful night, she never imagined she would awaken in a new world, in a new body, with no idea what had happened. She would do her best to restart and work her way up. The realization hit her: she was the daughter of the number one villain. "Curse you, Being X!"

Tanya's eyes flutter open. Looking around a dark room, all she can see is a strange, dumpy man with no hair except for a mustache and large glasses, as well as a doctor's coat. She hears the man yelling at the doctor in Japanese to save a woman lying on a bed. As Tanya tries to sit up, she finds she cannot and has lost all her motor control skills. After quite a while, she succeeds in moving her hands in front of her face.

Lots of yelling from the man with white hair, and the doctor pleaded for understanding that he had done everything he could, but she had lost too much blood too quickly, and there was nothing he could do. She was already dead by the time the transfusion had started, and after nearly 15 minutes of CPR, she had given no response. The doctor declared her dead. A woman with long blond hair and bright but clouded eyes, dulled by death, had stopped her celebration in its tracks.

"She looks like I did in my last life, exactly like me. What is X playing at?" Tanya thinks to herself.

The man, after telling the doctor to get out of his sight, walks over to Tanya and leans over her. "Don't worry, Tanya. I won't ever let anyone hurt you. You are my princess, my heir, and I will make sure the world is all yours, just like your mother would've wanted." Another man walks in. "Feed her every 3 hours. I want continuous updates on her. If anything happens to her, you understand the consequences, yes?"

"Of course, Sir, I won't let anything happen to the young mistress."

As the weeks go by, she sees her father six times, and each time he looks less pained, more focused. Now, he walks in for his latest visit.

As he sits and takes her into his arms, he talks about his work and how stressed he is because some lady named Nana had done a good job hiding her apprentice, whom he had yet to find. As he talked, Tanya gained an idea of who her father was: a man rambling to his nearly newborn daughter, who shouldn't be able to hear or remember anything, but she can do both, and she does.

She learns about this world and the corrupt system that the heroes have propped up. In this system, many are punished and forced into low-income areas simply because of their quirk or lack of a special power. Almost everyone had a quirk, but a select few unfortunate souls did not. As she listens, he talks about a hero fairly new to the scene called Endeavor, who had already caused some deaths among low-ranked criminals. The Hero Commission had already swept under the rug how their lives, his wife's life, and now his daughter's life meant nothing to them.

As she listened, she learned that her father was both a genius and absolutely insane, and she could not help but curse her fate, which came out as a small wail.

"Oops, sorry Tanya. It looks like I kept you up. You're such a good listener," he whispers as he sets her in her crib after he has finished feeding her and burping her. "Sleep well, Tanya. I will not lose you. I promise."

AN: This is my very first fanfic. Please have patience and tell me what you think. If you liked this, I plan on making it a multi-arc fanfic. The childhood will pass relatively quickly until we get to middle school, where she meets a certain quirkless boy who has some serious self-esteem issues and a couple of other problems. In him, she sees a golden opportunity, not more than that. It's still at least two or three chapters away. I'm not sure if I'll do her from 4 to 12 in the next chapter or split it into two so I can go more in-depth. Let me know what y'all think. I know this wasn't very long, but I plan on the next chapter being 2k to 3k in length, and the one after... yeah, setting myself up for a hard one here, but I believe I can do it. Updates may not be super regular; I work a lot, and this is kind of a for-fun thing.
