The Return of Enzio Bedoni
"Yowza," Garfield said as he sauntered into the living room and saw a new contraption set up there, "Jon bought an exercise bike."
He looked up at the metal bike that only had one wheel on it, and he imagined himself up on the seat, pretending he was a motorcycle racer, the great Enzio Bedoni, swapping his cardboard box race car for this new gizmo.
"This looks like it could be fun."
He stood up on his hind feet, reached up over his head to grab the seat of the bike and tried to pull himself up onto it.
Unfortunately the fat orange cat proved to be too heavy and the whole bike toppled over with a pronounced CRASH.
Sitting on the floor next to the mounted wheel of the exercise bike, Garfield looked up and proclaimed with a pointing finger, "Nothing is going to stop the great Enzio Bedoni from honing his new craft, motorcycle racing."
Garfield huffed and puffed and his face turned red as his feet kicked in the air as he tried to pull himself up. He gave up after a few futile attempts when he started to get blue in the face.
"Right after he hones another new craft," Garfield wheezed, "of upper body building."
"The great Enzio Bedoni is back and ready to conquer his new obstacle," Garfield announced as he rubbed his paws together with chalk dust, "He knows not the meaning of the word defeat."
He put his feline traits to work and jumped high, and grabbed hold of the handle bars.
"Ha ha!" he cried triumphantly.
Right before his added weight made the bike top heavy and it flipped completely over, pinning him under it.
"Nor does he know the meaning of the words 'terminally stupid'," he groaned.
"I'm getting on that bike this time!" Garfield was determined.
He took the cushions off the couch and piled them on top of one another in a makeshift staircase. He stepped back and leapt at the cushions, running up them and jumping, with enough momentum he was able to soar through the air enough to actually land on top of the bike seat.
"Enzio Bedoni has made it to his steel horse!" Garfield proclaimed, "and now he commences to let the rubber burn!"
The momentum was lost as Garfield realize the futility of his situation as he tried to pedal the bike and found his feet spinning in mid-air roughly two feet above the bike pedals.
He met the 4th wall with a scowling look of dissatisfaction.
