I wanted to release this story in December (BELATED BUT STILL WORKS) precisely since this was the month when Frozen was released back in 2013 and that's when we were introduced to little Anna so behold...

After what happened with his half niece Rapunzel , Agnarr was worried that Elsa may meet the same fate if anyone finds out...
Given that the world outside views magic in sometimes mixed but mostly put in negative light due to different encounters with it in the past.
Arendel may not be any different, it's position on magic dates back to Agnarr's ancestors from Scotland Highlands.
Many considered this to be a wasted war with superstitions, however after he found a diary of one of his ancestors Madelline hidden behind her own portrait... he was distraught and took this as a wake up call that perhaps that war is not yet over at all.
That "war" left scars on the Norway as only decades ago a man Quasimodo came here amid his travels, unknowingly bringing back a lost heir of Arendelle, Madelline.
He wasn't as welcome because of his looks, but was allowed to live due to his connection to Madelline but once he was discovered experimenting his unique alchemy on crystals and rocks... he was persecuted. No one knows what happened to him after that.
Madelline did all she could to try quell that hatred of magic but that was not enough either apparently since outer world was still uncertain of it.
Luckily it thinks magic isn't real so its even more worrying when it will find out.
Humans fear what they can't explain.
His father Runard was another example which makes him wonder if he had survived that day, would he have spared Elsa... the idea that he would've killed her made Agnarr fear even more...
Agnarr - "How is she?"
"She is very lonely without her sister. I hate it seeing her like this"
He was not alone though...
Iduna, his wife and best friend was a loving mother to her daughters ... bared the same worries and anxieties.
He was saddened to see her like this... It was even more painful for him to look at her, at Elsa and Anna... in this current state, he feels like he was their tormentor no better than his own father...
That she too had to protect her family for their own people she's looking out for...
"Me too but that will be so only until Elsa can control her powers... though I think we can let her at least visit Elsa for time to time"
Iduna – That's good to hear...but even so, she may panic and be scared at possibly hurting her or us... what if it happens again? She immediately regretted suggesting that...
Agnarr – She won't. She promised us she won't... and we trust her...
Iduna - ... I know I'm sorry. I must not forget that she loves her sister no less than Anna does. Her love can uphold the world ... but even so, we have to help her as quickly as we can.
Agnarr – Then we must not waste time and better look for solutions.
Iduna thought back to her northuldran background more often now after Elsa's powers awakened... and for some reason she kept remembering that one time when she searched the forest... and the following adventure she had that feels like distant dream... and of course the words echoing in the back of her mind .
That for her deed, in honor of her brother, her first child will be granted a gift...
At the time she was small and didnt know what to do with this knowledge...
But now she did... more, she may have an idea on who was speaking to her... Mother...
Iduna - I have some ideas , do you?
Agnarr – I might too. We should visit my sister Arianna at corona, mabe she'll know something...
Later Afterwards ...
Their majesties left on a short trip to corona entrusting Anna and Elsa in care of Kai and the maidens. And leaving the kingdom to the council until they come back.
Anna was known to be a goofy, fun , silly little girl so loved to spend some time with them too especially when they shared stories of bigfooted abominable snowman living in coldest parts of the world , they were fun really like uncles and aunts...
But it's like she didn't have as much fun without her sister...
Without Elsa...
Her sister was grounded, that must be it because why else would she not come out to her?...
But then why? What did Elsa do? She knew her sister...
Anna tends to be a firecracker of a troublemaker, but Elsa was more reserved. She never minded that and had as much fun as she did but she was the least troubelmaker of the two. But if she didn't do anything bad...
Then why?
She asked her parents but the only answer she got is that temporarily Elsa can't come out. Only for a while... but how long?
She didn't know. She didn't know if it will last longer than few weeks... longer than months... She was scared if it's even gonna end at all forever... she didn't want that
Trying not to think about it, she usually spends her time playing with her dolls, dancing in the halls, and sometimes talk to the pictures of historic people hanging on the walls. They even had some family accessories from long time ago like a viking helmet of their ancestor named Zephyr Haddock.
But so far the one thing she liked the best was the portrait of her other ancestor Joan of Arc with her being the adventurous war hero, the same aspirations that she herself hopes to have one day.
'Joan I want to be a hero one day too...'
The rest of the time is her sleeping or dreaming in their...her room, which Kai would call very messy and unorganised room but she just didn't care about that right now...
A 6yr old Anna didn't know why Elsa was avoiding her, neither her parents knew anything or so they tell her.
She may be a kid but she isn't stupid, they knew something but why not tell her?
The least likeable thought was...Does Elsa hate her?
Did SHE do something to make Elsa sad?
Did Elsa actually grow tired of her antics?
She teared up at the thought of that, especially hard when she was all alone. She isn't scared of being hurt, she is the future hero after all ... but if there's anything that hurts her more is to suffer in loneliness.
It didn't help that people weren't coming in the castle as much as before. It's like their castle itself was grounded for godspeed knows how long.
'So is this gonna be my new life now?... I don't want that...
...don't want that...
...I don't want that...
...I don't want that ...'
The voice in her head kept repeating which hurt...
She buried her head into her knees, hugging herself and tearing up again
The only thing that stopped him line of thought... was a knock from the door
*knock knock knock knock*
Her wallowing came to an abrupt end as she hears some knocking on the door.
"Sniffles... what... who is there?..."
Her sadness for now was put on pause as it then turns to confusion as she wasnt sure which door it was... then it slowly turns to fear...
"W-who is there?... if you're pranking me, you failed!"
Maybe there is a monster here scaring her...
But even that snowman was just a story. Monsters aren't real...
Then a thought came to her mind
"Elsa ... is that you?"
What if her sister wanted to surprise her?
What if she at last left the room for her?
An unknown fear was now wrestling with a new hope within little Anna
She tip toes first to the entrance door...
...but when she opens it there is no one there.
*Knock knock knock knock*
She hears it again and this time she traces the sound to the closet door
'okaaay there definitely shouldn't be anyone in there.'
She was sure that there wasn't any hidden passages in the closet either and so she was left puzzled and tensed at who is knocking.
Nevertheless the so called future hero made a supposedly brave move.
Moving towards the closet, she carefully listens to the sounds inside
She could hear noises of bumping and crashing , and tried to take a peek.
Meanwhile – Somewhen Else...
'Whoa this one sure looks old'
David – nice notice captain obvious
Fritz - Now now everyone it may look withered but even this kind of thing may have its promises'
'How long was it here anyway? Where does it lead?'
Fritz - Well you remember when I had a door for vacation with my fella Argus once he came to inspect our company?
Duncan – You me the one that wanted to sue me?
Cutter – After you flopped on your first job?
Duncan huffs
Fritz – Anywho I've had few more doors from "door rescuers". Mr Wazovski let me have at least one since he can't afford more...
Val – Here we go again. Now why does that sound like a crime again?
Fritz – Nah, I'm sure it's no big deal... I think. Speaking of, Tylor I'm entrusting this to you.
Tylor – Wait what?
'You've heard it right Taylor you're gonna be looking after it from here'
Taylor – why me?
'I trust you enough. Mr Sullyvan does too. Plus I command you to. What can I say, I'm the boss soo...
Taylor - HA HA very funny... fine I guess I don't have much to do today
Cutter - Careful there we don't know if anyone there won't scream.'
Tylor – Well I dont exactly look forward to be caught and skinned alive either'
Duncan - Humans can still be dangerous even if they don't spread disease like a few hundred years ago, once first portal was tested'
Val - Uh can I ask? I did hear rumors of disease and all that but uhm what exactly happened in there?'
Duncan – It was probably a simple doorway tied to it's own nuclear power plant just to make the doorway to another realm. The first monster to step through was a big hairy monster probably. He stepped through the door and happened into a child's room. A very sick child to be sure'
Tylor flinched at the idea 'you research a lot do you?'
Duncan - Yeah yeah save complimentary for later. So upon seeing the monster, the child screamed, and so did the monster, who fled back into the monster realm through the portal with two things. First, the child's scream caused a reaction with the monsters' technology. They noticed a power surge at that time, as, they're power source seemed to resonate with that sonic vibration.'
Val - Wow just imagine how many poor kids Wogglebum kidnapped for that energy'
'Not my place to say but I suspect, his all three generations of our ex boss had some secrets to keep. But alas for them and us, there came a price for the progress as the second was a flea carrying a deadly virus. Excited at the prospect of a potential new clean energy source, no one was smart enough to bother and check that first monster for any contaminants. And fleas were certainly not unknown in this world but this oh no this was something else. He went home to his wife and kids where the flea could find a place to lay its eggs, and he didn't even think about that itch on his shoulder... and then six days later, he started to feel ill. So did his wife and kids...'
His pause was all that needed for his colleague to get what happened after.
'To make matters worse, a few weeks later, the neighbors started showing signs. A plague spread through the monstropolis. It wasn't hard to figure out that it was that first encounter with that child that started it all'
Fritz - Wow that sounded even sadder story than I remembered
David- That's a history lesson for us! Not a fairy tale
Val – As if those are better... Trust me even those stories have a heartbreak
Tylor – Alright alright my head hurts already from all of that.
David - No wonder, you don't exactly have a brain like mine
Tylor sigh in annoyance
'Yeah yeah whatever. Hmm how far or close it goes?
'Mmm well i dont realky know. I mean it be before invention of cars in their world'
Tylor – Oooh so like we were in a way, back during savage ages!
Duncan – Good to see that you know some things!
Tylor shakes his head at duncan
Cutter – You wanna open it? I'd be wary if I were you.
Val – Nah those human kid are no different than our own or us when we're little. Just be on their good side and it'll be good enough'
Cutter -*sighs* have it your way don't say I didn't warn you
Fritz – I'm sure they'll handle it. They aren't children anymore. And so Val and Tylor were left with a brand new door to look after Val took the door to the activator device hold to find out the location it goes to.
Val - "hmm now where should it lead?..."
Tylor- Are you sure this is a good idea?
Val – Ty, since we already have it here we might as well see what's inside... plus...
Val then looks strangely at the door as it was now on
Val - ...I have a somewhat good feeling about this... Val knocks on it first before motioning for Tylor
Tylor hesitated for a few minutes... but ultimately does it Val's way Only for it to open slowly... It's revealed to be a small , red haired kid with a yellow gown dress. It looked around from confused to surprised It looked at surroundings seemingly in awe instead of terror
Val – See told you they're safe! Tylor cringed at Val's comment as then a kid finally noticed the two monsters...
A kid looked at them intrinsically... once she took in their full view, her feet started to step back...
Tylor– H-hey there... uhm good kid Tylor took notice of her confusion and tried to approach her slowly... Contrary to him, Val took a radical path She picked up the girl in her arms, hugging her closely much to kid's distress. Tylor then loosened her grip to let a kid go... And let go she did as a kid then ran back to the door... A kid didn't look I time before she accidentally pushed door closing it and falling through it causing it's lower half to collapse...
Apparently the door was also not too tough much to Tylor's distress
Taylor "Ouh you gotta be kidding me!"
A kid then trembling ran away from his raised tone, screaming
Taylor "oh no no No! Wait!"
Val – Come back I promise we won't hurt you!
Anna had quick legs for someone her size.
Taylor unfortunately was a bit clumsy as he slips on the floor into the wall unlike Anna who practically slides across it.
Duncan muses while patting Roto – Hey isnt that a kid?
Val – Why didn't you catch her?
Duncan – I think Fritz put this into your hands.
Tylor – oh we got a model boss over here! While they shared words, kid made way to the entrance door
Cutter – hey what's going on here?...
"A KID RAN OUT!" Val said before Tylor and her dashed out the doorway Looking out the hall, they searched for the kid if she was hiding somewhere
Val – Oh no. What did I do? I can't let that child run around. Who knows what will happen to her...
Tylor motioned her to be quiet as he listened closely to the shivering sound somewhere nearby The sound was coming from left side of maintenance... under the ladder It kept distance and hid behind the ladder seemingly insecure They tiptoed closer, careful not to scare it away
Tylor – hi there... Kid stands back Tylor – no no... I promise I won't do anything... here!
He stands back and picked some fun stuff .
He trained to be a good jokester in the future and now they came in handy
'Time to put this jokester to use!'
He starts to jiggle balls in his hands Went great the first few seconds before he missed and one fell on his eye and head before he trips on them after that He tried to stand up but then stepped on banana peels as he began to dance and convulsed funnily and dropped back
His thorns Ended up bursting some balloons while his butt sat on the duck...
The image wasn't ideal but funny enough to make Val chuckle Val then hears some giggles from the red haired child, her hands covering her mouth
Seeing the results before him, Tylor felt elated As did Val whom then approached the child who looks away
Looking I'd in the eyes, Val smiled warmly "don't be afraid of us... I know this seems weird and scary... you feel like you're alone now..."
A kid look back at her
Val – I know we are different... but monsters can be nice... I will prove that... if you'll let me to Val stretched out her hand to the child who looked a her again only this time, kid stepped forward to her
She slowly picks up the kid into sisterly embrace seems to calm the kid They then heard snuffling from behind them which turns out to be Fritz and newly arrived Mike Wazowski "Oh that was soo heartwarming"
"Well this is rather tough situation..." Mike said inspecting the broken door... "It's not just the lower half, the whole part needs weeks to piece back... "
Mike rubbed his temples. He already had one door to piece on his hands and now this...
Fritz – Well what's done is done. Might as well get started then. Till then... hmm what time do we do with the kid?
Val – Well we can take care of her.
Tylor – We? I'm not exactly good at parenting children... human children even less.
Val – Well consider this a daily jokester training!
Mike – You sure? These kids seem to drag me and Sulley into trouble most if the time...
Val – I am ready for that! I'm sure I'll be a good mother until we sent her back
Fritz – Oooh I'll be a grandpa!
Tylor – Oh boy... here we are again...
He then takes a look a little girl before adding
"oh well, maybe it won't that bad... hey little one, I am Tylor... and what is your name?"
Val – Ouh right! Do you have a name sunshine?"
She looked at the two before gathering up the courage...
"I...I am..Ana. My name is Anna"

TBC? And there you go. Don't know if I had dream one night or idea during the day but this crossover has been on my mind for a while. For Tylor to be Anna's monster, now however she's also adopted. Now since this story ties to my other story "Anna's Family", we know Anna will make her way back but not before making some memories in world of monsters.
