Peggy Carter was on her way to SSR when she saw two men standing there bickering so quickly walked over to see what was going on.

"How the hell did we end up in 1946?!" one of them asked.

"How the hell should I know?!" the other said.

'That voice,' she thought. 'It sounds so familiar.'

"Where are we?" the first man asked and the second man looked around.

"We're in Brooklyn."

"What?"

"We're in Brooklyn but sometime shortly after WWII. Which means right after Steve went missing and they got me."

Peggy froze when she heard Steve's name but came back and pointed her gun.

"Stop right where you are!" she said and they turned to see her.

"Shit." one of them said and she looked at him in shock while the other shot his arms up.

"What are you doing man? Arms up!" the other man said.

"Peggy?"

"Sergeant Barnes?" Peggy said but her gun still up.

"I know this is confusing but yes. I did survive that fall. I need you to put down that gun and take me and my friend to SSR where we can explain everything to you, Howard and Colonel Phillips." he said and thought. "He is still Colonel right?" he asked and she nodded putting her gun away.

"Yes. He's still colonel. What about the Commandos?"

"No, not yet. Let's explain what happened to you guys and then you can come up with a plan and tell them." he said and she nodded.

Then they headed to SSR.

When they got there Phillips and Howard stood there in shock at seeing Bucky.

"My god." Howard said.

Then Phillips took out his gun and shot at Bucky who took out his metal arm while pulling Sam behind him and it bounced back shocking all three of them.

"Chester!" Peggy said. "Relax. It is Sergeant Barnes."

"Prove it." Phillips said.

"You didn't think Steve was a good candidate for the Super Soldier serum and that Hodge was the best. When Steve found out my unit was captured you didn't do anything so Steve talked to Peggy and she helped him with it. When he came back with us you were in the middle of writing letters to families telling them that my unit had passed." Bucky said and all Phillips could do was blink. "You said I was the best sniper you've ever seen and could see me as lieutenant soon a day before that fall. Is that enough or should I continue sir?" he asked with his arms crossed.

"My god. You really are Barnes." Phillips said. "How the hell did you survive that fall?!"

"It's a long story sir."

"Well we're listening sergeant." Peggy said with her hands on her hips.

He sighed, had them all sit down and started. From the day the Nazis found him to when he and Sam ended up here with Sam helping if he missed anything.

They all sat there in silence processing what they just heard about one of their best soldiers yet.

"Christ Barnes." Howard said. "How did you live through that and still be sane?"

"I have no idea." Bucky said while Sam snorted.

"I don't know about sane." Sam said and Bucky wrapped his regular arm around Sam's neck. "Hey!"

"Wanna say that again Wilson? Or do you want a black eye, missing tooth and a pissed off Sarah?"

"OK! Let me go!" Sam said and Bucky let go.

"Anyway, I just tried to keep myself busy by saving this idiot." Bucky said pointing at Sam.

"Hey! I don't-"

"You can fly great, but when it comes to the ground, you're too slow, you're strong and actually trained but can still get knocked down fast. You have more experience with combat and weapons than Steve like me but you mostly work in the air. I take down the ground with my speed, strength, combat, enhancement, sniper skills, can be seen one minute and gone another. You can't go a day without me. Torres is a great kid but to me, he's a Private not lieutenant." Bucky said with his arms crossed.

Sam sat there quietly knowing Bucky was right but hated to admit it.

For the next hour they asked more questions and Bucky and Sam answered.

Soon the Commandos were there staring at Bucky in shock.

"My god." Dum Dum said.

"I've heard it enough Corporal, don't need to hear it again." Bucky said rolling his eyes and thought of something so looked at Phillips and Peggy. "Who's in charge of the Commandos now anyway?"

"Corporal Dugan." Phillips said and Bucky shot up.

"Hell no!" Bucky said and they jumped. "A Corporal like Dum Dum? Oh no. Now that I'm back I'm taking over. Sergeant is higher than Corporal, I was second in command of both 107th and Howling Commandos and have years of experience!"

"Calm down Bucky!" Sam said and put a hand on his shoulder but Bucky pulled it off.

"OK. You can take it, you do seem better at it then Corporal Dugan anyway." Phillips said.

"Good." Bucky said and looked at Dum Dum. "I'm sorry but you have to earn the title of leader in my opinion. You're a great teammate, but have a lot to learn to be a leader." he said and Dum Dum nodded.

"Who's second in command?" Peggy asked.

"Sam. He's the same position as me but a different unit."

"Really?" Phillips said and looked at Sam.

"58th." Sam said and they nodded. "I was second in command to."

"Nice." Falsworth said. "How'd you two meet?"

"We bumped into each other when I was heading back here after getting free from HYDRA. Sam had more medical experience and was nice enough to help me clean up a bit. Then he followed me here and we bumped into Pegs." Bucky said and they nodded.

"Well, thanks for taking care of him Sam." Falsworth said and shook Sam's hand.

"Uh, no problem. My parents always told me and my sister to help people." Sam said and shook hands.

"Well, they raised you well." Phillips said playing along.

"Hey Barnes," Dum Dum said and Bucky looked at him. "Any idea what happened to Steve?"

"I know exactly what happened to him." Bucky said and they all looked at him waiting. "While I was with HYDRA I heard them say Red Skull disappeared and Steve ended up in the Arctic." he said and they looked at him in shock.

"Do you think he's alive?" Howard asked.

"Well considering I survived a fall that big, landing in snow, only lost my arm, tortured by HYDRA for a year and with us both having the serum just a little different? I'm gonna say yes."

They all sat there in shock realizing he was right.

"Oh my god." Peggy said.

"We can save him. All you need to do is find a HYDRA ship, probably look for his shield and you'll find him." Bucky said and they nodded.

"Where is it?" Howard asked and Bucky shut his eyes trying to remember what Hill showed him after his pardon.

Everyone sat there waiting patiently while Sam watched concerned and then Bucky opened his eyes and remembered.

"I remember where it is." Bucky said.
