Chapter 8
Walburga couldn't believe what had happened to her plans.
She thought that with her Master being aged, and Kazuto not remembering his previous powers, she'd be able to sneak out a win. That she'd be able to find something that could give her exactly what she wanted.
But as it was now, she was faced with two enemies that she felt sickly by. Her powers would be difficultly pushed by either of them, both of them would be impossible to defeat on her own, while she also could see that the Exorcists that she brought with her weren't doing their jobs since the Gremory group was taking them out, along with Ravel.
"You think this is how I'm going to go down? With me losing? You still have been burned, you will succumb to the powers of my flames!" Walburga said with a daring look.
Kazuto, who had been bathed in holy flames, was wounded, but he also had a job to do, and that was to take out the giant Balance Breaker before him, so his grandmother would be capable of taking out the enemy witch.
"I'm glad to hear you're ready to fight, we wouldn't have it any other way."
Walburga growled, and threw her hand back.
When she did, the giant Dragon made of purple holy flames roared. The flames spewed into the air, and caused the surrounding area to be filled with an uncomfortable heat.
But for Kazuto and his magician grandmother, they were able to keep themselves safe.
"Grams, I guess I'll leave her with you then."
"Yes, I can deal with her. How about you Kazuto?"
"Can't lie, my body does feel the effects of the flames. But, I'm able to keep going. Besides, we've got a healer for afterwards, I'll deal with that giant Dragon along with whatever else she wants to throw at me."
As he said it, his Sacred Gears jewels shined along his arm. The green light shining out of it informed Kazuto that Ddraig was just as excited about what was to come as Kazuto was.
"That's the right way to go about it, Kazuto. Walburga, sorry my former apprentice, but I'm going to have to take care of you, here and now."
Walburga smirked. "For someone saying that who's elderly, you're speaking like a spring chicken. Are you secretly finding the elixir of life or something? Because you're an old woman who cannot hope to match a young girl like me~!"
"Youth is on your side, but cockiness holds you back, and I'll show you why that isn't a good thing to have in this situation."
Augusta increased the magical energies all around her.
As she did, Walburga did the same thing.
Kazuto saw that his grandmother was going to deal with her, so, he had his eyes set on the monsters before him.
As Kazuto left, Augusta looked towards Walburga, who in turn showed a dark scowl on her face.
Magic circles begin to appear in the air, summoning fireballs, ice, lightning, winds, light and darkness all coming to the surface.
"Shall I teach you a lesson Walburga?"
"I've already learned everything I need from you, hag."
Augusta smirked. "Got the mouth on you, I was being polite. You're a talented, but naive magician, Walburga. Your Longinus is strong, but right now, you don't have access to it all, so let me teach you a lesson in how to use your magical abilities."
Walburga, scowling deeper, summons her own magical energies, allowing flames, ice, lightning, wind, light and darkness to all form, answering the attacks that Augusta had summoned, and flushed her power all around her.
"You're a good one Master-sama! You are a dangerous woman aren't you?!"
"Indeed and you came after my grandson. Can I ask why you did this?"
Walburga smirked. "Why did you want to help out a Devil? Grandson? So what? He's still filth to me."
Augusta's eyes narrow considerably. "If I were you, I wouldn't want you to speak those words regarding my grandson into existence again, is that understood?"
Walburga for a moment saw a fierceness in the elderly woman's eyes that gave her pause.
But then, while growling, Walburga tightens her hands. "Even with the Sekiryuutei back, it doesn't mean he's going to win! I designed that Dragon myself, and he's years out of practice!"
"That's where you're wrong, Walburga. I personally made sure should the need come, he'd be ready again." Augusta responds, and fires off her storm of spells.
Walburga answers it with her own, matching one another blow for blow.
The spells energies colliding spread far and wide around them, Augusta and Walburga using barriers to cover their bodies, stopping them from being seen completely, as the powers collide over and over again.
"Ooh you're still annoyed that I have Incinerate Anthem! Did you feel regret about it being gifted to me?"
"I left the supernatural world for a time, though I don't think you're using the Longinus to its full potential."
Walburga looked completely angry, and she thrust her hands forward, firing off more spells.
So Augusta answered it with her own magic's, once more matching the other blow for blow, neither getting through.
"And to be clear, even if holy flames do damage Half Devils, my grandson is no fool, don't bank on that Dragon creation of yours being able to power through, you could say he's similar to that Hakuryuukou girl."
"S-Shut up! Once I get the power of the Sekiryuutei on my side, then I'm going to be stronger than you boss lady! Watch me Master-sama, I'll become even better than you are in your current age!"
Walburga undoubtedly unleashed all of her powers.
Augusta took in a few breaths, and revealed her own powers, shooting them right for Walburga's attacks.
Walburga saw that she was beginning to be pushed back by Augusta's magical spells and therefore, felt her anger exploding inside of her, wanting to get rid of the enemy that was before her, and tightens her hand angrily.
"I will surpass yoooooooooooooooooou!"
"Ooh dear, for a good time, I thought that was true. But seeing how you're currently fighting, I can see that anger is clouding your judgements, and your cockiness in winning inflated your ego. Indeed, I am growing older, and it comes with complications, it doesn't make me unable to fight. So, let me deliver your defeat, so I can reclaim that Longinus from you!"
Walburga widens her eyes, upon seeing Augusta's gleaming smile, and watched the old woman summon more magical spells, using forbidden magic's that even Walburga didn't know anything about.
Walburga felt her fears growing as Augusta spread out her arms, the radiant power shining and reflecting all around her, Walburga couldn't escape as her teleportation pathways had been severed, and even when she tapped into her own forbidden magic's, Augusta's power was simply greater, leaving Walburga to feel fear settling in her body…
As they were fighting, Rias and her group plus Ravel and Asia, minus Gasper who couldn't safely be on the battlefield right now, were being faced by the Hydra.
But, they had also received a power boost thanks to Kazuto.
All of them felt the incredible power swimming through them, even Asia who wasn't a fighter, had her powers boosted, and Rias thought Kazuto probably did Asia's to increase her healing powers.
Asia put her boost good use in healing the wounds that Rias had taken when she had a brief exchange against the enemy, and was thankful that she had healed her, despite her initial reservations about being associated with a nun, she had to admit that right now, Asia's healing was going to be a good factor for their side.
As they went to move, monsters came flying to the Hydra, and begin merging with it.
"What's it doing...?" Rias became suspicious.
Ravel scowled. "Seems like its absorbing their powers to increase its own. I suspect this must've been what the witch had planned for Augusta-sama, but now we're fighting it, so we have to end this enemy off."
Rias clicked her tongue. "Okay, Kazuto's given us more power. This beast might be a modified Hydra and has been infused with many different magic's to booster its capabilities, but we're the Gremory group, plus Ravel and Asia-san, and we wont be losing to this enemy! The poisons dangerous, so lets keep away from that, and aim to destroy this beast!"
[Yes Buchou/Rias-san/sama!]
The beast roars, and out of its mouth, poison beings to be thrown into their direction. Deadly enough to even kill Devils, they all knew how dangerous this could be, but Rias took a step forward at first.
"I wont let you!" Rias threw her hands out, the Power of Destruction energy surrounds her fingers and hands.
She then unleashed a violent block of her Power of Destruction, shooting it through the air. It was bigger than it would be naturally, and the others saw its power live up to its name, destroying all of the poison before it could reach their bodies.
It continued on, and ripped right through one of the Hydra's heads, blasting it off completely, not even leaving a spec of dust behind.
"Ara Buchou, it seems you've levelled up there." Akeno said with a small smile gracing her face.
However the praise stopped when they saw the head was regenerating, though it regenerated slowly, thanks to Rias's power boost.
"It seems that we'll have to do something else to take out the enemy." Rias said with a sigh.
Ravel steps forward. "I propose that you Rias-sama work on building your power. Because you have the highest damaging power that can erase many things, you using the power Kazuto-sama gifted you, should be able to release an incredible attack that could take it out. In the meantime, we can hold off its powers together. This was supposed to take on Augusta-sama, that I am certain of by examining this creature, and she's very powerful, so it makes sense this is as well. So lets finish this off together."
Rias was happy to see that Ravel was helping them out, and agreed with what she said.
So she pulled back, and begins to build her demonic energies.
As she did, the Hydra roars into the world, and unleashes another breath of poison towards them all.
"Burn!" Ravel came forward, and stuck out her hand. Using her flames of the Phenex clan boosted by Kazuto's Gift, she unleashes a wave of fire that was able to meet the poison of the Hydra, burning against the attack and caused it to be pushed back to a good degree.
While she did that, Akeno stepped forward.
"Ufufu, I think its my turn now. I'll thank Kazuto-kun for this power, his gift feels so good inside~" Rias and Ravel's faces burn hot at Akeno's innuendo, while Yumi and Koneko both blink rapidly.
Akeno however giggles, and stuck her hand in the sky, allowing lightning to crackle all around her fingers, then the sky formed a giant thunder cloud.
"This is for Kazuto-kun~" She then aimed her hand down, and a huge bolt of lightning shot down in an amazing speed.
The ground ruptured as it smashed deep into the earth, shocking the giant Hydra, causing its breath attack against Ravel's power to become even less than it was before, resulting in Ravel's flames out-speeding the poison, and caused heavy burns to erupt across the body of the Hydra.
"Ara, I could get used to this." Akeno said gleefully.
But then she was surprised to see that the giant Hydra's head was coming for her. Moving incredibly fast, even she as the Queen was stunned by its speed.
"My turn." Thankfully, Yumi came in with her sword, and faster than a speeding bullet, Yumi's blade cleaves right through the Hydra's head, which slams into the ground, and then Yumi lands on said ground, noticing more Hydra heads coming.
But then Koneko leaps into the action.
"Get smashed." Koneko delivers an uppercut into the giant Hydra's head, propelling it up into the air, away from Yumi, allowing her to stab her sword into the ground, using the power of her Sacred Gear.
"Sword Birth!" Yumi announced, and thanks to the power Kazuto gifted her, giant blades the size of trees came shooting out of the ground, piercing the Hydra's body in different places, causing its body to be dragged into the sky.
While suspended in the air, Ravel and Akeno both thrust their hands out towards the Hydra.
"Burn!"
"Be shocked~"
Ravel and Akeno unleashed their fierce attacks, resulting in an incredibly powerful explosion. The air changed all around them, a shockwave caused the ground and air to visibly shake from their combined powers.
When the dust cleared, the Hydra's body received massive damage.
Many parts of the body were bleeding profusely, the heads of the Hydra's were all badly burned, and damaged, the swords that ran through its body shattered, and it dropped to the ground, its regenerating abilities beginning to activate once more.
However, Rias finished storing her power, and turned her hands towards the enemy.
"Blow awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!"
Rias released all of her stored power, amped by Kazuto's Gift ability, and the resounding huge blast of Power of Destruction ripped right through the Hydra's poison attacks it unleashed, despite it receiving powers.
The Power of Destruction spread throughout the giant Hydra's body, living up to its name, and caused the giant Hydra's form to be completely destroyed, leaving nothing behind, but in turn also exhausting Rias and her group, as they had to use all of their powers in fighting it off.
But thanks to that, they managed to win their fight.
While that was going on, Kazuto faced off against Walburga's Balance Breaker, along with other creatures she had summoned to the field, and caused his Boosted Gear to shine beautifully in the area.
The light of the Sacred Gear lit up the darkness of the area, the purple holy flamed Dragon opened its mouth and was spewing fire all around.
[Boost!] Kazuto received his first boost, after giving his previous stored up power to his allies.
"Looks like we've got a situation here, Ddraig." Kazuto said it casually, his eyes however displaying seriousness, looking to see many creatures rushing towards him.
[Indeed, this holy flamed creature is a weakness for all Devils. And your body already received a wave of it previously. Can that being regenerate?]
"Yes, I'm sure it can, seeing the Hydra over there, I'm sure she, or whoever she's working with, modified it. I'll have to finish it off in one go, along with these creatures. Speaking of, lets get rid of them."
Kazuto hums, watching the creature thrash around on its giant cross as his hand lit up with a magical circle.
He unleashes a barrage of explosive spells towards the incoming chimeras, and beasts, creating a huge explosion of magic all around him, and spreading further and further out.
The enemies tried to fight him off, but Kazuto's finely control of his magical abilities, and had them swirl around the opponents, destroying their bodies with incredible waves of energies.
At the same time, the Dragon of purple flames unleashed a barrage of attacks against Kazuto.
So Kazuto dodges elegantly, causing the area to be lit up with holy purple flames, so Kazuto flung his hand to the flames, and erases them with waves of demonic power, seeing the Dragon was trying to create a prison of holy flames all around him.
"Little Dragons got some intelligence, definitely gonna have to deal with this one soon."
[The Dragons a nuisance, she said it was around Dragon King level, though I'd say weaker than the other Dragon Kings naturally, but its being fueled by those other creatures to increase its power to Dragon King levels.]
"Yeah, it seems that way."
[How are those holy flames that burned you earlier partner? Hindering you any?]
"I'm dedicating a portion of my demonic powers to dispel it out of me, should be gone pretty soon."
As he said it, he sent several punches left and right, colliding his fists against creatures flying at him, destroying their powers with explosive magic, sending heavy shockwaves throughout the area.
[Good, then dedicate the rest of your power to finishing this enemy off.]
"Just what I was thinking, my friend."
Kazuto nods, looking right at the Dragon.
Being tied to the cross, was an advantage to Kazuto, since it didn't have the mobility that others would have, and while it was his weakness, Kazuto wasn't going to give up now, not after everything he had been through.
Along with that, Kazuto noticed that Exorcists had left the Gremory group alone, and now were converging on him along with some more chimeras.
He saw what Walburga was doing, she was gunning for him, and all for him to take him down.
Though he wore a bright smile.
"Ddraig, I'm feeling pretty excited!"
[Its time to show the return of Kazuto Asmodeus.]
Kazuto smiled, as waves of enemies all came for him, counting over hundreds of enemies, gauging their powers at around Middle Class Devil, save the Holy Flame Dragon, and some chimeras he could see that felt around High Class in power.
"Damn Devil boy!"
"I can't believe the Sekiryuutei lives!"
Kazuto, upon hearing their yells, grins devilishly, as the giant Dragon of purple flames aims its head down towards Kazuto's own body, and unleashes nine individual waves of holy flames one after the other, Kazuto noticing the chimeras shooting all of their powers to the purple Dragon to increase its power.
"I sure am alive." Kazuto summons his demonic power in front of him in an impressive display of power.
The energies swirl all around in the air, and he unleashes a barrage of demonic shots, slamming them into the waves of holy fire, clashing in a violent burst of powers, pushing against one another's in a violent movement.
"What's going on?!"
"T-The bullets aren't reaching!"
"His auras powerful!"
"Keep going, the Dragons holy fire shall aid us!"
At the same time, he saw Exorcists getting close to him, firing a multitude of bullets of light for his body, but the aura that surrounded his body simply caused them to vanish.
Kazuto opened his mouth wide, and unleashed a torrent of Dragon flames from his mouth, burning the enemy Exorcists, and monsters away in a blazing glory.
Howls from the defeated Exorcists filled the area, as Kazuto's energies managed to stop the flame waves coming for him, blasting right through him, and shot a large hole through the Dragons upper body, but like he assumed, it was beginning to regenerate its body, though Kazuto noticed some flaws as well in its abilities.
Kazuto also noticed the remaining Exorcists looked worried in trying to approach his body after seeing a chunk of their allies being swept up in the giant wave of Dragon fire.
"Do you want to fight me?" Kazuto asks, his eyes shifting between them all.
Fear began to play on the minds of the enemies, noticing that a good few of their soldiers had already been stopped, and were lying on the ground, blood seeping out of their bodies, worry settling into their hearts and minds.
[Boost!] The second boost came about, as he noticed a huge fireball heading for him from the Dragon's head.
Compressing the flames together, and made sure that its deadly power was all directed right towards Kazuto himself, who estimated the flames being very capable of killing many present.
It looked like a meteor due to how giant size the purple flamed Dragon was.
Kazuto coats his hand in demonic energy, and he sends a powerful fist into the giant fireball, unleashing a torrent of energy deep into the flames, spreading it out, and then burst it, causing the fireball to disperse all around him, and the energy continued on, slamming deep into the Dragons face, exploding a good portion of the Dragons body apart.
But the holy flames caused its body to regenerate, something Kazuto expected to see happen.
The Dragon howled, the Exorcists still around begin to pull away, shaking, not wanting to fight after seeing Kazuto wipe out their allies.
"N-No way…"
"We, we can't fight this..."
"H-He's like Vali..."
Kazuto glanced at them, and they all felt dread enter their bodies, when hearing "Thank you for the compliment, Vali-chan is a very strong girl~" and when seeing his graceful smile hiding a more scary one below the surface, the Exorcists lost their will to fight, knowing it would be a one sided slaughter.
Kazuto turned back to the Dragon, and began moving towards it, unleashing waves of demonic power as holy flames shot at him in large waves, dispelling the attacks.
[Boost!] The third boost of his power, radiating a thick aura around his entire form.
"Looks like its ready, all of the holy flames influence is now out of my body, so now I can send this Dragons spirit off."
[Unleash it, partner!]
"Yeah!"
Kazuto unleashed all of his stored up energy at once, allowing it to flow between his hands, turning more and more devastating as the seconds trickle on by, the mass of energy collected between his hands, radiating into a bright glowing aura that looked completely devastating, immense and strong.
Looking at the Dragon, as if sensing an imminent attack, it combined all of its flames together for one massive beam attack. Kazuto understood the Dragon was readying to fight with all it had.
But Kazuto wouldn't give up either.
"Lets finish this!"
Kazuto formed a mass of demonic power before him, then he took a step back, before lining up his fist, laced with demonic power.
Punching forward, he released a massive deadly beam that warped through the air devastatingly.
The Dragon's flames concentrating into a beam to pierce through Kazuto's form.
The two attacks meet one another in a dance of glorious power.
The Dragon's beam certainly was very deadly, if it got through then Kazuto knew that he'd be quite burned, so he pushed his energies forward, Kazuto's hands thrust forward, breaking through the massive beam of fire.
"Disappear." Ripping right through the beam, the energy continued onto the Dragon's form, and eclipsed it from Kazuto's view, generating a huge explosion that sent ripples throughout the area.
The barriers the Sitri group, along with Gasper who was aiding them in maintaining it, began shaking incredibly, cracking underneath the intense power.
When the power began to die down, Kazuto looked on, seeing that the giant Dragon's body was no more, with holy wisps of purple flames vanishing as they fall down to the ground, it had been finished off for good.
Kazuto let out a breath, briefly coming down to his knees to catch breath.
"I'd say for being bathed in holy flames before, and being newly awakened, without Balance Breaker fighting a Longinus Balance Breaker, plus monsters empowering it, that's quite a win for us. And the Dragons soul, it seems that its vanishing, that's good, it doesn't have to be used anymore. I could sense its happiness as it vanished, I'm glad its going to have a peaceful afterlife."
[Yes, I'd say that's the best outcome. Now, what shall we do partner?]
Kazuto chuckled lightly. "Gotta make sure that Walburga doesn't try to escape with a backup teleport route she's probably got mapped out somewhere. With Gram taking care of her, it'll give me the time to stop her teleporting circles she's laid out like a route for her to slip through. She usually liked having those set up, so lets have a look around, and stop them."
Kazuto pushed his feet from the ground, and begins activating magic circles to intercept the ones Walburga would place out.
When Kazuto finished, he got to his grandmothers side, and saw Walburga was soundly on the ground defeated.
"Damn Grams, you kicked some major ass." Kazuto greets happily.
Augusta turns her smile towards her grandson, as purple flames begin to radiate from her palm. "Not bad for an old timer, is it?"
"Certainly." Kazuto looks over the flames, and then to Augusta. "I take it that Incinerate Anthem's accepted you as its Master again."
"Indeed." Augusta responds quietly. "Better in the hands of an ally, than an enemy, wouldn't you agree, Kazuto?"
"I would." Kazuto said cheerfully, noticing Walburga getting up, with a knife in hand imbued with magic and poison, rushing Augusta.
Desperately trying to get to her, Augusta scowled, and went to fight.
When Kazuto got next to her, and said "Don't touch my Grams." slamming his hand forward, shooting off a spell to repel her, taking out the young woman before she had the chance to do so.
Walburga pants hard on the ground, looking up to Kazuto, and growled. "I, I wont be beaten by the likes of you!"
She summoned her circles to teleport.
The light shined beneath her feet, and she smirked at Kazuto.
But was shocked when she found out that she couldn't activate it, and the light died down.
"You're not leaving us now, Walburga. We've got some stuff to discuss." Kazuto expresses his thoughts.
"M-My pathways sealed?!" Walburga angrily snarled.
Kazuto steps forward, Walburga breathes harder and harder as Kazuto comes closer.
"If we didn't know your ways, then you could've escaped us. However, I managed to block those off with some of my power while you were fighting Grams. That teleportation route was quite intricate, but you're not going anywhere now, Walburga. Consider it a gift for burning me with holy fire, not nice."
Walburga looked up to the sky, and saw a radiant energy swimming above along with Kazuto's own magical signature, seemingly causing the spells she would've used in reserve to escape the area had been stopped completely.
Augusta smiled upon seeing that, and turned to Walburga. "You have a good talent, in ways I'm proud to see how far you've come. But your ways blinded you of your talent, and Incinerate Anthem, it is a strong tool, but it was finished off by my grandson."
Walburga breathed hard, and tried to get up, magical circles radiating from her hands. "T-This isn't the end!"
"Yeah, it is." Both Kazuto and Augusta thrust their hands forward, speaking at the same time, generating a barrier space around her in the form of a dome to stop her movements.
She tried to blast her way out.
But the barrier space held, while she breathes harder and harder, her eyes laced with worry.
Walburga slinks to the floor, panting hard and heavy, looking as if she was going to faint from everything going on.
When the others arrived, they were impressed to see that they'd wrapped up their battles swiftly.
Upon seeing Koneko, Kazuto flashed her a small smile. "Long time no see, Koneko-chan now isn't it? Shirone-san, do you use that name anymore?"
"...Yes, I go by Koneko now, but I don't mind if you call me Shirone, Senpai."
Kazuto bends down, coming face to face with Koneko. "I'm glad you're safe, I was worried about you. But, it seems you did get to have a good life, Koneko-chan~"
Koneko's cheeks gained a healthy flush as he gently embraces her.
Rias looks quizzically towards them. "I didn't know you had this kind of relationship."
"Long story." Kazuto retorts, glancing at Asia. "Hey, Asia-san. Do you mind healing me? I feel like I've been cooked alive~"
"Yes, I will!" Asia rushes to his side, and begins activating her Sacred Gear, using the stored power she had inside from Kazuto's transfer to increase her healing power, and began washing over his wounds.
"Wow, being healed from the Holy Maiden is quite the feeling I never thought I'd feel. Thank you, Asia-san~"
Asia shows her adorable smile, while Yumi looked on.
She could see despite him gaining his memories, he was still the same Kazuto she knew by his smile, his kind eyes, and she was glad at that.
Akeno giggles. "Ara, I happened to watch the end of your battle Kazuto-kun, I saw you firing that giant demonic attack. Ufufufu, and how you spread your gift to us all, it felt really hot inside~"
Rias and a few others cough, while Kazuto snickered.
"Ooh Akeno-san, I'm glad you liked my gift~"
Akeno giggled wildly, excitement spreading on her face
As they talked, Koneko stayed in Kazuto's arms, something Rias noticed.
His eyes spotted Gasper in the distance, and waved to the Vampire. "Hey Gasper-san, thanks for being with Grams!"
Rias blinks, and looks over, astonished to see her shy Bishop being able to be in the open, even if only a little.
"I-I'm glad I could help S-Senpaaaaaaaaaaaai!" Gasper called out with an immensely shy wave.
Kazuto lightly smiled, looking at the battlefield, and was glad that the battle was finished now.
Truly, he couldn't wait to see what was going to happen now, with his memories unsealed.
Later on, Kazuto returned back home, and went to his shower, cleaning off the dirt from the battle.
Though when he came out of the shower, and got semi dressed for bed, wearing only his underwear, he was surprised to see that Rias was in his room, perched on the bed.
She wore form fitting a nightgown, her long red hair flowing behind her endlessly, looking rather extravagant in his eyes.
When she caught sight of his near naked form, though she had briefly seen him like this before, she this time got a full view of his body, his lean muscles, his dazzling sapphire blue eyes, and his golden blonde hair looking like the sun.
"Buchou, welcome to my room. Staying?"
"Well, we've already shared a bed, I thought why not? Besides, after what happened, I think that it would be good for both of us. I was captured by that woman, and well, it ended well, but it could've been different if the flames of holy power stayed cooking you longer. I'm relieved that you're safe, and even got your memories returned."
Kazuto adopts a kind smile, moving to the bed, and sits down next to her.
When they peered into one another's eyes, Kazuto caught the sight of Rias's small smile, and he thought she looked rather beautiful.
"Thanks, yeah I'm fully back~ Walburga's been dealt with now. Guess she didn't count on me getting my memories back huh." Kazuto stretched his arms. "Ooh, thought I should tell you, Grams wields Incinerate Anthem now."
Rias coughs. "Sorry? How did that happen? Walburga didn't die..."
"Yeah, Incinerate Anthem is a Sacred Gear that can transfer to different hosts, even if the current host isn't dead. Grams had it before Walburga anyway, not sure what she's planning to do. Last time, she was looking for a successor, so maybe she'll do the same this time as well."
"So, after Augusta-sama did the spell, you remember everything of your past? Every interaction?" Rias asks, very intrigued to know more about his life.
"I do. Everything. I had a good normal life for a time, something I didn't get as a kid, though I don't mind being back in the supernatural world, lots of things to do, people to see, and all that~"
Rias had to admit she wondered more about his life, the people he had met. "Koneko seems fond of you. She hasn't talked about her past much, but I did know she had a Hero save her, I didn't know it was you."
Kazuto softly smiles. "Yeah, we met a good long time ago...Koneko-chan, she's been through a lot in her life, I'm glad she was able to find a place where she felt happy. She might not show it as easily as others, but I can see that she's been happy with you, thank you for taking care of her in my absence."
Kazuto's words spread a little happiness in Rias's heart, glad that he could also see Koneko's happiness.
"What do you plan to do now, Kazuto?"
"Where to start...well, the Fallen Angels need to be dealt with, so gotta take them back. Besides, it'll let me see a certain Dragon again."
Rias raised a questioning brow. "A Dragon?"
"Yeah, its been so long, I wonder what she looks like now…?" Kazuto thought about Vali, wondering how strong she was. "Plus, the Devils...ooh, its going to be a fun time~"
As he said it, Rias begins to strip off her nightdress. Her bare breast became visible to his eye, and seeing Rias in the nude like this caused a reaction to his body, his face visibly flushing.
Rias was glad to see she could induce such a reaction, and leans closer, pressing her lips against his cheek.
"Buchou…"
Rias giggles, running a hand through her red hair. "You know, I've never been able sleep with clothes on, do you mind?"
"If you're fine with it."
Rias adopts a small smile, and lays a small kiss on his cheek, catching him off guard, a small amount of red began appearing on both of their faces. "Thank you for coming for me, Kazuto."
"Anytime, Rias-san."
Rias's heart skipped a beat, as she laid down, gazing up at him, and patting her right hand side.
Kazuto laid next to her, watching Rias's lips curling into a generous smile, falling asleep in one another's arms...
The next day, Kazuto made a trip somewhere.
He went towards where the Fallen Angels would usually be, the Grigori.
He had taken the Fallen Angels with him.
"Ooh my Azazel-sama, we're all going to die!" Raynare yells.
Kazuto gives her a strange look. "I said I'd speak with your leader, didn't I?"
Raynare's face fell. "Maybe because I'm scared right now, but I don't know what's going to happen! Also, is Akeno-sama here?!"
"Akeno-sama huh?" Kazuto spoke with intrigue.
Raynare's eyes flicker open and closed. "S, She's...Baby Shark..."
Kalawarner and Mittelt both hang their heads down, as Kazuto glances at the other two, seeing their pained faces.
"You never know, Azazel might be lenient with you, so lets see what happens."
Raynare cried. "Yeah right, he's going to hate me. I tried to kill Asia, and I tried to kill you…which by the way, are you as strong as the Hakuryuukou Vali like the stories say? Because if you are…shit, we actually tried to fight you…"
Kazuto arrived at the doors to the Grigori, and looked at the young girl curiously. "I guess that we'll find out. I'd have to see her before saying yes or no, she's been training but I also trained thanks to Grams, so really its going to be quite an interesting situation we've got going on huh?"
Kazuto looked at the doors, his hand going out, and he pushed them open.
Upon doing that, people looked towards him, as he walked on by with the Fallen Angels following after him.
He could hear whispers going off around him.
"Who's that?"
"This power…"
"It couldn't be him, could it?"
"Yeah…its, its…"
"Those eyes...that hair...his power...it has to be..."
Kazuto adopts his bright smile, and continued forward, offering his greetings to those around.
Kazuto went towards the leaders office first, heading directly towards that location.
As he walked, he came across a pale skinned, pointy eared Fallen Angel who's eyes caught with Kazuto's own.
Upon seeing him, Kazuto adopts a small smile. "Kokabiel, its been a while."
Kokabiel breathes shallowly, rubbing his eye with the heel of his palm, a nervous sweat beginning to show itself.
"You..." Kokabiel's voice was filled with shock, and surprise.
"Something wrong, Kokabiel?"
"N, No." Kokabiel breathes sharply through his nose, and swiftly walks away, as Kazuto watches him go, before setting off to Azazel once more.
When getting to the door, Kazuto stepped inside after knocking.
When he entered, he came across Azazel, his eyes meeting Kazuto's own.
Shock came to the Fallen Angel, standing from his desk, he moved towards Kazuto, moving swiftly, and came face to face with the young man.
Azazel's expressions shift from excitement, wonder, confusion, happy, and a few others, trying his best to settle on one but found it difficult.
"Damn…it is you. Kazuto-kun. You're alive...Vali always believed you were alive, somewhere. And here you are...welcome back."
Kazuto adopts a small smile. "Thanks, glad to be here."
Azazel shows a gentle smile, examining the young man. "You've grown, I'm sure Vali would be happy to see you. But, what the hell happened to you? Its been years, Vali...have you seen her?"
"Not yet, after this I will, and I promise I'll explain everything once I see Vali-chan. For now though, I have a gift for you." Kazuto snaps his fingers, the Fallen Angels move closer, confusion on Azazel's face. "These three…well, its best if I tell you quickly about what's been going on."
So Kazuto began explaining what happened with the Fallen Angels.
As he did, Azazel was cross with all three of them.
Raynare's eyes looked towards the ground, pain etched on her face.
Kalawarner felt ashamed of what had happened.
Mittelt's eyes couldn't meet Azazel's gaze.
Kazuto then exhaled, after he finished his conversation, and continued on with a small smile. "Either way, I'm glad that everything worked out in the end. So can I leave the Fallen Angel ladies here with you?"
"Yes, we have much to discuss." Azazel said, his eyes sharply on the three women before him who grimace. "Its nice to see you again." Azazel's expression softens upon facing Kazuto. "I'm sure you'll want to go and see Vali, she should be in her room right now. Remember where that is?"
Kazuto gave an appreciative smile. "Yeah, think so. Thanks, Azazel. And the Fallen Angels here...yeah, they did wrong, though they were partly tricked and the power went to their heads a bit. I don't think they deserve death, though punishments can be given. If you'd like, I know a girl who likes giving out punishments~"
"No! Not Akeno-sama! S-She will play Baby Shark, a-and we can't handle it!" Raynare yells with fear.
"Akeno-sama...huh." Azazel looks at Raynare curiously, then shrugs. "Either way, thank you Kazuto. Have fun with Vali~"
Kazuto lifts an eyebrow in amusement. "I'm sure we will."
Kazuto left the Fallen Angels with Azazel, who in turn raised a brow at all of them, while they all looked back, wondering what Azazel was going to do.
Walking out of the room, Kazuto looked around the area, before turning left, and began heading down a long winding corridor, hoping he'd be able to see Vali.
Kazuto walked his way towards a girl that he had been wanting to see for a long time.
Even when he didn't remember her face, or her name.
He knew he had someone to return to.
To see the person that was supposed to be his rival, but someone that was way more than a rival.
He found her room, and inhaled deeply.
He knocked on the door.
But he heard "Not now." causing Kazuto to snicker near silently.
So he opened the door, and steps inside.
"I said I wasn't…"
She turned towards him with annoyance.
But that was replaced with shock when her eyes met his own.
Kazuto's smile grew, seeing that was Vali Lucifer before his very eyes.
Vali looked incredible, with a body that could rival Rias and Akeno quite easily, yet her calm expression giving her a cool beauty look to her.
Beautiful, strong, and eyes that he never could forget. Piercing, filled to the brim with strength, exactly like how he remembered, and he could feel the aura surrounding her body, she was a good deal stronger than he remembered, and he did admit he wouldn't mind seeing how strong she had become, but for now, he was excited to see her.
Vali also took him in, seeing his gentle handsome face, his soft gaze on her own, and felt his aura flowing endlessly like a river, she didn't know the circumstances of where he'd been, but she was glad to see that he had quite the power radiating from him.
"Vali-chan, its been too long."
Vali was in disbelief.
She thought she was dreaming at first.
She thought that this had to be a trick, an illusion.
"You are alive after all…"
"Word of my death, might've been greatly exaggerated." Kazuto pulls in closer, their eyes meeting with one another's for a few moments, neither saying anything, barely a breath away from each other. "Vali-chan, sorry for the wait, I've come back to you...back home."
Vali's expression was unreadable.
She didn't wear any emotions on her face.
She didn't betray anything she was feeling inside.
Someone coming back from the dead was something she never thought.
Her hand reached out, and placed itself against his chest, near his heart.
Feeling her soft hand brought back happy memories, watching her eyes meeting with his own.
When their eyes met once more, Vali's stoic face finally begins to soften ever so slightly.
"Kazu..."
It was barely notable, but when she did, Kazuto felt his world change, and his heart began to squeeze by the second, watching the young woman drag her fingers across his skin, from his chest, and to his face.
"Yeah, I'm here...I'm alive, Vali-chan. Sorry, there's a lot to talk about...but I'm so happy to see you again. Gotten stronger huh?"
"Yeah, you too. I want to fight you soon." She said without pause.
Kazuto bursts out laughing. "There's my Vali-chan~"
Vali wasted no time, and brought herself into his personal space, her large chest pressed against his own sturdy chest.
Just a few inches away, their eyes locked onto one another's.
"But before fighting, there's something else I want to do with you."
His heart thuds in his chest so loud he swore he could hear it. "Vali-chan..."
Vali's hand raced to his face, and runs strands of his blonde hair through her fingers, pulling his head towards her own.
Their lips came together, a kiss lighting up their entire worlds.
Fireworks began setting off in their hearts, and minds, their fingers finding one another's, and held their hands together as they deeply kissed one another.
A kiss neither wanted to stop.
It was a kiss they couldn't help but give after being away from one another for so long.
Pulling back a minute later, Kazuto and Vali once more stare into one another's eyes.
Their hands, still connected, Vali brought Kazuto over to the bed, and sat next to one another.
They didn't have to say anything else, they just kept close to one another for a long time, their lips connecting once more in an entanglement of their feelings.
They were the Sekiryuutei and the Hakuryuukou, they were supposed to be rivals.
Though they couldn't think of one another as normal rivals.
They were much more than rivals.
They just wanted to enjoy being alone together, and express their feelings towards one another, after so long apart.

So, this is the end of the first arc! With Augusta becoming the new Master of Incinerate Anthem, and we'll see what happens with them going forward. Along with her, Kazuto revealed more of his powers, and his prowess on the battlefield, Rias and her group also took down their opponents thanks to being boosted by Kazuto.
Then Koneko and Kazuto had a little moment together, Rias and Kazuto became closer than ever, happily sharing more with each other. And at the end, Kazuto and Vali came together after being away from one another for a long time.
And finally, Ingvild's going to be joining Kazuto's group! Not sure if I should have her as four/five Pawns or a mutation, and Roygun's piece count will probably be around three. He still has a Rook, and potentially, a few Pawns left, so suggestions always welcome!
