Big Lug
Out in space, the Hyper Force is still pursuing the Skeleton King Worm.
"If we run out of fuel this far away from civilization, we could drift the stars for all eternity." Antauri said, looking at the fuel gauge.
"All eternity? That's trillion billion years longer than I was planning on spending you guys." Sprax remarked.
"I got it." Chiro said, spotted the nearby asteroid. "We can mine some fuel on this planet."
"We'll never make it." Gibson countered. "If Otto is correct…"
"We'll running on fumes already!" Otto exclaimed, looking at the scans.
"Wait a minute. We're receiving an incoming message." Nova said, received a message.
She brings the message up to the monitor and reveals the machine.
"The Lug. Have you seen it?" It said.
The monkey team was a bit confused about this Lug. Chiro looked at Sparx, who shrugged.
"Everyone likes to see… the Lug."
"Tell them we haven't seen any Lug." Chiro said,
"I can't. it's a pre-recorded message." Nova said.
"This way to… The Lug." It said.
The Super Robot sees the machine with arrow and saw more machine that points to its right.
"I guess we better meet this Lug." Chiro said before having puzzled look. "What is a Lug exactly?"
Antauri admittedly didn't know what it is with pondered Otto.
"There's nothing about a Lug in any of our databases." Gibson said, having no information about a Lug.
"I've never heard about this Lug either." Tyran said.
Nova detected something in the radar. "We might be under attack. Sensors show a large craft."
"There it is!" Otto alerted, pointing at the incoming craft.
The large craft is heading right for the Robot.
"Get us out of here!" Chiro ordered.
"It's too late! Brace for impact!" Sparx said.
The large craft is heading closer to the Robot.

The large craft is almost to the Robot.
"Sparx, duck!" Chiro yelled.
Sparx grabbed hold of the steering wheel and veered right as they braced for impact.
As the large craft is coming, the Robot's head moved its head slightly and the craft pass by. Chiro and Sparx sweatdropped, mistaken the space bus for an enemy craft.
The Robot turned and sees the bus is flying to the port.
"The enemy ship appears to be landing." Nova noted.
The space bus parked next to the port that appears to be a large gas station.
"An intergalactic truck stop?"
The bus opens and the tourists exit the vehicle.
"Departure in thirty minutes. Enjoy the Lug." The driver said as the tourists heads to the convenience store.
"We have found a place to refuel." Antauri noted.
"And there's a store!" Otto beamed. "We can buy a bunch of snacks!"
"Am I dreaming or is this everything I've always wanted?" Sparx said.
"Me too." Chiro said. "Let's check it out."
They parked the Super Robot next to the filling station and the Hyper Force left the Robot and ran towards the store.
"I'll refuel the Robot." Otto said. "Just grab me a… Super Thick Stick Freeze. Oh, and a Giant Zero Gravity Cred Bar. And some magazines. Oh, and uh, give me…"
Sparx looked back at Otto. "How about we just get you a whole store?"
"Yeah! I like that idea."
Sparx ran to catch up with the others.
The Hyper Force enters the convenience store and sees that it has sunglasses display, some snacks, hobbies, refreshments, and more. They went in to explore around the store.
"Look at this place! It has everything we'll ever need!" Sparx said, holding the snacks in his armful.
The cashier was peeping at him.
"Yes, if what you need is endless sugar, chemically processed animal flesh and oh, that's a nice visor." Antauri said before looking at the merchandise.
"Chiro, look! A Sun Rider's pinball game!" Sparx exclaimed.
"Cool!" Chiro beamed.
Gibson was looking at the keychains. "Ah, psychic crystals from the invisible minds of Zeltic 5 and you can wear them on your belt!"
Tyran checks the sunglasses and puts it on his optics.
Sparx pulls the trigger and lets the ball go and hits the bumper to earn the highest score while Chiro was waiting for his turn.
Nova peeping around the aisle and took the armful of toys.
The two employers restrained the beef jerky alien.
"He's been thieving again, Kib." He said.
"No! you can't sell the children!" The alien begged, "You're letting them chew the children!"
"When will you get it? It's just beef jerky!" The cashier said, "Take him out of here!"
The workers dragged him to the entrance.
"You can play in just a second, Chiro." Sparx said as Chiro notice the customer is dragged out. "I think I got it right!"
He tilt the machine and the machine buzzed, meaning game over.
The workers threw the beef jerky alien out of the store as Otto fills the fuel to the gasoline caps. While waiting for the fuel tank to finish, the two tall beetle alien was watching him and muttered each other before walking away. Otto heard a banging sound and sees the beetle alien kicking the robot.
"Nice ride." Beetle alien one said.
"Nice!" Beetle alien two said, looking up the Robot.
"Uh, thanks guys." Otto said.
The two-insect alien approached the green monkey.
"Give us your ride." It said.
"You go monkey jump in space NOW! Understand?"
"Not really. But maybe you'll understand THIS!" Otto brings out his saw blade, scaring them.
"Right."
"For now…"
The beetle aliens walked away and Otto puts away his weapon.
In the store, Sparx was occupied playing the pinball machine while Chiro was annoyingly waiting for his turn until Sparx loses.
"Give me two tickets for the Lug!" Chiro heard the voices of two boys, who purchased the tickets.
"I want to pour some salt on him."
The two young aliens went behind the curtains. The cashier noticed Chiro.
"You ever seen a Lug, boy?" He said.
"What is a Lug?" Chiro asked.
"You don't what a Lug is?" HE said, feigning his surprise before giving him a ticket. "Take the ticket. Find out for yourself."
Chiro went through the curtains and sees the tunnel with lights before walking through it.
"Step right up! Behold, the amazing Lug, the only one of its kind in the entire universe." The speaker said.
He sees the rock in the middle in the room. When Chiro got near it, the rock opened its eyes and gets up to reveal the high body.
"Whoa!" Chiro awed.
"What is it? Where does it come from?" The speaker said.
The Lug was shocked and electrocuted as if something is preventing it from leaving.
"And what is it trying to say? No one knows."
"Look at him!" The alien boy said laughed. "It's so dumb! It looks like you."
"Shut up!" He snapped and throwing his soda at the Lug, shocking Chiro.
They laughed and thrown the nacho cheese at the Lug.
"Hey, knock it off!" Chiro snarled.
"Mind your business, scarf boy." The alien kid said.
"Yeah."
Chiro jumps in front of them with stern face.
"Get out NOW!" He snapped, scaring them away.
The Lug was surprised that Chiro was defended him.
Elsewhere in the store, Antauri was trying out the headwear with straws and cupholder.
"Mind over matter is nothing compared to handsfree refreshment." Antauri commented. "What a marvelous invention."
Antauri receives a call from Chiro.
"Antauri, they got this big animal locked up in here. It's not right." Chiro said. "We should free this creature."
"Wait, Gibson has found something important." Antauri looked at Gibson.
Gibson inspect the pen. "It's a pen." He clicks the pen. "And a flashlight." Much to his annoyance with his curiosity.
"Man, I thought they don't make these anymore." Tyran said, looking at the box of space monster action figures collection.
As Chiro contacts Antauri, he sees the two alien beetles from earlier as they come to see the Lug.
"I got to go. I'll see you back at the Robot." He hangs up.
The alien insect smirked and fires its energy beam from its antennae, zapping the Lug, enough to make it back off against the invisible fence and shocking it. The beetles laughed, mockingly at the Lug.
"Big baby Lug!" It said.
"My turn. Make Lug cry."
Before the second beetle zaps the Lug, Chiro stops them.
"Knock it off, you big bug bullies!" Chiro kicked them against the invisible fence, shocking them. "How do you like that?"
The beetle recovered and face Chiro.
"Don't like it." It said, left the room.
"Bite your head!" The second beetle left as well.
As soon as the bugs left, Chiro approached the Lug as it cowered down in fear.
"We're gonna find a way to help you." He told it. "If you have to live in a cage, it should be better one than this."
It only wailed in response as Chiro couldn't understand what it said until He was zapped out of the room. Bursting out of the wall is the alien beetle and Chiro dodged from the energy attack
"Teach you lesson now!" It said.
"Like I said, bite your head!" The other beetle said.
Chiro was cornered by the beetle aliens.
"Smash head now!" It said, punched the wall.
The other beetle zaps Chiro, who dodged, and accidently zaps his other beetle's foot, making him hopping his foot in pain while holding his other foot. The other beetle picked Chiro up and hurling him around before tossing him to the large trash can. As Chiro picked himself up and got away as the laser hits him.
"Chiro Spearo!" Chiro throws his lightning bolt at the beetles, knocking and piling them.
The boy stomps towards the beetles.
"MAMA! MAMA!" It shrieked.
At the filling station, Otto pulls out the filler and closed the gas cap until he heard a sound. It came from the beetle's truck which has legs and jumps up.
"AAHH!" Otto yelped as the truck lands beside him and crawls away, leaving him confused.
Back in the fight, Chiro hurls the beetle by its antennae and tossing it over to the other beetle.
"Mama here!" It said, happily.
Chiro looked back before getting snatched by their mama, who turned to be from a truck to a huge beetle. It held squirming Chiro up and punched him away to the neon sign that looks like a bowl with spoon.
The beetles latched on to her mama beetle and she lunged at the boy. Thinking quickly, Chiro wields the neon spoon and jumped over the mama beetle as she crashed the neon sign. He jumped on the neon sign before jumping away before the mama beetle slash the neon sign and running on her back before jumping and rebound another arrow sign and lodge the spoon to the mama beetle's mouth. The mama beetle tried to shook him off, but Chiro wouldn't let go as he holds on to it.
The Lug was cowering from the commotion from outside until they broke through the wall and Mama beetle throw him off to the ground. Just as the Mama beetle is finishing Chiro off, she was electrocuted in the invisible fence and bumped into the generator.
"Mama!"
"Mama!"
The beetles flee inside her and the Mama beetle turns into a truck and takes off to space, never to be seen again.
Chiro looked at the Lug, who was still cowering in fear. Still feeling sorry for the creature, Chiro ran up to it.
"Get up! Come on. Get out of here, you big lug." He said.
The Lug tensed and sensed that he is free. He lets out his shriek and almost stomps on Chiro, who moves out of its way. The Lug ran out and started rampaging with everyone screaming as Chiro watches it go.
Chiro then receives a contact from his comlink.
"Chiro, where are you?" Antauri asked.
"I'll be there in a minute." He said, "I just have to, uh, take care of something."
"Quickly, Sparx made a rather large purchase at the store." Antauri said as Sparx show them a Sun Rider pinball game.
"And some stuff that we brought from a store." Tyran added, carrying some bags they brought.
"SPRX-77, the ultimate dominator. Yeah!" Sparx boasted. "Your game, Antauri. If you dare…"
The Lug approached the couple and scaring them away before picking up the car and throws it away, much to Chiro's worries and unable to handle this situation.
Then, the Lug come across the bikers and tried scaring them, but the bikers weren't intimidated and becoming perplexed by it. As it throws a tantrum, it knocks down their bikes, shocking the bikers and grew angry at the creature. They begin to fight, but the Lug bowled them down.
"That's enough, Lug!" Chiro yelled.
The Lug stopped and turned to Chiro.
"I don't want to fight you. I want to help you. Come with me, peacefully and we'll take you back to where you came."
The Lug's anger dissipated and became puzzled by his reasons.
"Imagine, you could be home. Back to your own planet, a place where you live freely among your own kind. Like a whole world, full of Lugs just like you."
The Lug angered in response and kicked Chiro off.
Back in the Robot, the pinball machine was played as the ball, surprisingly, levitated up as the scores is increasingly high.
"Hey! what are you doing, Antauri!?" Sparx snarled. "Get your ghost paws out of that machine!"
"What? At least I didn't tilt." He said, much to Tyran and robot monkey's annoyance.
"Guys, shouldn't we look for Chiro?" Tyran chimed. "I mean, he hasn't been back yet. No telling what kind of trouble did he get himself into?"
Just as the cyborg said, Chiro pulls himself up on the platform until the Lug found him and beginning to chase him around the space truck stop. After running around the gas station, Chiro landed on the portable and looked back to see the Lug is behind him until the worker opens the door.
"What's all the racket about?!" The worker said as Chiro took cover. "Hey, you're not allowed to be down here!"
He looks up to see the Lug and it jumps down.
"Oh no!" He went back inside the portable.
The Lug is pounding the portable and tearing it apart until the worker peers from the broken window with a weapon.
"Let's see how big and bad you are when you're not a Lug."
The worker fires his weapon and hits the Lug, who fell over from the blast. Chiro watches the whole thing and jumps down from the building to check it out. As the Lug is glowing, it began to shrink and transform into a young man, surprising Chiro.
"What happened to you?" He asked.
"Get me out of here!" The young man said.
Chiro helped a young man to the platform and he explained how he became a Lug.
"I came here looking for work, but the Cravens had no customers." He explained. "Then I had a bright idea. 'Hey, you ought to have something here people want to come and see'."
"So, they turned you into a Lug?" Chiro said.
"That was great for business, but they treated me like an animal. I haven't worn pants in months."
The young man becomes wary and cautious.
"I got to get out of here! Is that bus still around?"
He then took off.
"Come with us! We'll take you somewhere safe!" Chiro shouted until the sound of weapons.
"Hold up a minute there!" Chiro turned to see the Cravens. "This here's the boy that done let loose our Lug?"
"Stranger, you got to pay for what you take." The worker aimed his blaster. "Now how you going to pay for that Lug?"
"I'm not going to pay you anything." Chiro retorted. "You were holding him prisoner!"
"You're going have to do better than that, boy." The other worker said, not taking his threat seriously. "We can't afford to lose no business."
Angered at the Cravens, Chiro leapt up to attack them, but they shoot their laser at him and reshaping the boy into something more horrendous.
Out for a while, it sees the alien family, who came to see the Lug.
"Look at the big ugly Lug! Ugh!" The boy said.
"He looks different." The other boy noted. "I know what it is. He's uglier."
"Now he can't help but he's so ugly." Their mother said. "Not everyone can be as handsome as you two spawns."
The Lug looked at its hands. 'My hands… What happened to my hands?'
To his much shocking and surprise, Chiro has turned into a Lug.
"Boys, now I think you've upset the repulsive beast." Their father scolded them.
Chiro tried to get out, but was stunned by the invisible fence.
Meanwhile, Tyran and the monkey team went back to the store to look for Chiro and ask the cashier.
"I told you, no warranty on the pinball machine." He told them.
"We're not here to complain about the pinball machine." Antauri said.
"We're looking for our friend." Otto said, "He's about yey high, biped with a scarf. Seen him?"
"Some tourists told us he got in a fight with your Lug." Nova added.
"Last time I saw him, he went in there." The Craven pointed at the curtain.
Tyran and the monkey team went in there to see the Lug that Chiro is concerned about.
"He was very concerned about the state of this Lug creature." Antauri said.
"Perhaps we can reconstruct where he went from here." Gibson said.
Chiro perked up and saw them.
"This." Sparx pointed at the Lug. "There's the Lug."
"That's the Lug?" Tyran said, looking at the creature.
The Lug was overjoyed to see his friends.
"It appears to be trying to communicate with us." Gibson assumed.
'It's me, Chiro' He said. 'Why can't you understand me?'
Tyran and the monkey team couldn't understand what he trying to say as Chiro was electrocuted by an invisible fence.
"How could Chiro have a fight with the Lug?" Nova questioned. "It's locked up in this energy cell."
"We should check outside again." Otto suggested.
"Wait." Antauri stopped them. "This creature there… there's something about him of the Power Primate."
The silver monkey senses that the Lug has the power of primate.
"It knows where Chiro is."
"Where is he? What have you done with Chiro?" Sparx demanded.
"I don't understand but… Chiro is inside of him." Antauri said.
"He's what?" Tyran said.
"Do you think maybe… it ate Chiro?!" Otto guessed.
"We're going to find out." Nova said, smashing the generator. "Where's Chiro?"
The Lug was pointing at himself.
"I think he's saying he ate him." Otto gagged. "Gross! I'm going to make him spit Chiro out!"
Otto lunged at the Lug and kicked it, but it slapped him away and grabbed Nova.
'Nova! It's me, Chiro!' He said, but Nova scratched his eyes, making him yelped in pain.
"Put her down, Lug!" Sparx yelled.
The monkey team attack the Lug by hitting all around him as Sparx freed Nova, but grabbed Sparx as well as Gibson.
"Sonic Ring Laser!" Tyran fires his rings of laser from his optics, blasting the Lug away to the wall.
The Lug recovers and found the weapon that turned Chiro into a Lug and the monkey team peered in the blast hole.
"Careful now. We will want to take him alive." Antauri cautioned.
The weapon was set to the Lug mode as the monkey team and Tyran enters the room until they see the Lug is holding a weapon. It fires at the monkey team as Tyran jumps away from the blast.
"What was that?" Tyran said, looked to where the monkey team is. "What the…!"
"Sparx! You're really crowding me." Otto said. "Can you move over a little?"
"Not unless you get your head off my body, Otto." Sparx exclaimed.
"I don't understand!" Nova confused. "Are we a Lug?"
"Guys, what happened to you?" Tyran said, looking at their fused body. "You look like a Lug like the other one."
"I don't know how, but this must be what happened to Chiro." Gibson said.
"Wait, if you guys turned into a Lug, then that means…"
They gasped and pointed at the Lug.
"That's Chiro!" Gibson exclaimed.
"Whoa, how the heck did he turned into a Lug?!" Tyran said.
"It's that device! We have to get that device away from him." Antauri said.
The monkey Lug jumps and dives down to shove Chiro away from the device and took the weapon away from him.
"Here, Tyran. Use this." Nova said, giving him a weapon.
"Okay." Tyran looked at the device and pressed the blue button.
"Well, Tyran, what are you waiting for?" Gibson said.
"Uh, it's not gonna hurt him, is it?"
The cyborg aimed at the charging Lug.
"Sorry, kid. This might sting a bit." Tyran cover his optics and pulls the trigger.
The device was fired and hits the Lug, turning Chiro back to normal.
"Hey, it worked." He said, "Chiro, what the heck happened to you? And how did you get like this?"
"No time. We got to stop those Craven brothers."
Chiro leads them to the Craven brothers.
Out in the back of the store, the Craven brothers is loading up the loot in the old space pickup truck until they saw the Hyper Force running towards them.
"Don't let them get away!" Chiro yelled.
The Cravens load up the loot quickly and took off.
"GET BACK HERE!" The monkeys stretched their arms to grabbed them.
"Oh no you don't!" Tyran fires his harpoon at the truck.
The Cravens yelled as they were dragged back to the ground.
A while later, the monkey team is back to normal and the young man from earlier contact them.
"Thanks for all your help, Hyper Force." He said. "Business is way up since we got our new Lugs."
The young man rushed to the front, passing by the beef jerky alien, who was tugging the snack away from the alien.
"Please! Don't chew the children!" It begged.
He ran up to the stage and the spotlight shines him.
"Here they are…" The curtains opens, revealing the Cravens are turned into a Lugs. "Three Lugs are definitely better than one!"
The energy cell electrocuted them as the tourists applauded and the monitor hanged up.
"We would like to apologize to you, Chiro." Antauri said, "You were trying to righted an injustice."
He then looked at the uneased monkey team.
"And your monkey team was too busy playing a silly game to help." He looked back to Chiro. "Chiro?"
He sees Chiro playing a pinball machine, not minding what he said.
"Uh, just a minute!" Chiro said, playing a pinball machine. "I'm busy."
He tilted the machine, much to Tyan and monkey team's chagrin as Chiro sweatdropped, sheepishly.
