Gunvolt blocked the exit as Kira picked up the pennies. Lumen handed Kira a bag which had snacks and a soda.
"I don't think Moniqa likes you very much." Gunvolt noted as he grabbed Kira's right hand.
"Why else do you think I had to brainwash her?" Kira remarked.
"How's Zeno doing?" Lumen inqueried.
"Annoying as ever and trash talking so he's fine." Kira responded.
When they entered the room, Asimov seemed irritated. Kira was suddenly faced with an unexpected flashback. She was strapped down and watching Dr. Kamizono make a shoulder to shoulder incision horizontally. He noticed she was awake and put the scalpel down on a metal tray to the left of him.
He stood up and walked over to an anesthetic tank. After turning the dial, Dr. Kamizono grabbed the mask hanging over the spiggot. It was placed over Kira's nose and mouth before she passed out. At least now she had an excuse to leave if she needed one.
"Uh, may I be permanently excused from the premises?" Kira questioned.
"What makes you want to leave?" Gunvolt asked.
"There's, antimony, arsenic, aluminum, selenium, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, uranium, nickel, neodymium, neptunium, germanium, -" But Gunvolt covered Kira's mouth.
He turned to look at Lumen and mouthed "What is she talking about?"
Lumen walked over to Gunvolt as he grabbed Kira's hands and placed them over her ears before letting go.
"One time she said she'd have an easier time listing the periodic elements than explaining her own troubles." Lumen reminded.
"Oh, yeah. What are we supposed to do now then? Take her home?" Gunvolt wondered.
Kira had another onset memory. She was sitting in the limo with Nova. Then they were outside in front of the same alley Nova fought Viper. Kira glared at him and told him to leave her alone. His response was "It's my job to make sure you don't run off and betray us." After hearing that, Kira was furious.
"He had the audacity to say that after all he's done? Traitor." Kira grumbled.
"We're taking Kira back home. Call us if anything changes." Gunvolt notified.
He picked up Kira so she couldn't run away. Her legs were dangling and swinging as Gunvolt walked.
She folded her arms and gave a grumpy expression.
"Did you think I was calling Zeno a traitor?" Kira interrogated.
"Who were you calling a traitor then?" Lumen inqueried.
"Nova. I had a flashback. We were in the limo but it fast forwarded to the alley he fought Viper in. I told him to leave me alone. That's when he had the audacity to say "It's my job to make sure you don't run off and betray us." Kira explained.
"Yeah, from what I could make out he's kinda a jerk." Zeno remarked.
Kira whipped her head round and saw Zeno.
"We just got back here. How did they discharge you so quickly? Unless they don't even know you're out." Gunvolt questioned.
"Turns out they had to evac me from the room. So that another guy could be put there." Zeno elaborated.
"Did you beat anybody up? How much blood was there? Did you have to use your Septima? Were any punches thrown? Oh, I know! How about-!" But Gunvolt covered Kira's mouth again.
"Yeesh, how much sugar did you give her? I'm waiting for her to froth at the mouth and black out." Zeno remarked.
"Would you believe me if I told you I only fed her a chocolate chip granola bar, the lunch we had today, a banana nut muffin and a pork sausage biscuit that nearly killed her?" Gunvolt pondered.
"Woah woah woah, back it up. Did you seriously just say she almost had death by sandwich?" Zeno whispered.
Unfortunately, he was still loud enough for Kira to hear.
"It was an accident, okay!?" Kira yelled.
"There's no need to be embarrassed about something like that. We've all done things we're ashamed of." Gunvolt assured.
"Yeah, but I think Copen getting beaten up by Asimov and having his gear stolen by an Adept is top tier." Kira laughed.
Suddenly, Kira had her mind stuck in another flashback. She was taking a nap with all 3 Elise's, huddled together for warmth in the Stratacombs. Kira woke up and looked up and to the left of her to see Nova and a Sumeragi gunner. Nova noticed Kira was awake and ordered the gunner to shoot her. She passed out while all three Elise's stayed asleep. Once it was over, Kira had seen enough.
"I probably have enough evidence for a court case at this point." Kira muttered.
"You're right, he may need to be confronted about his past actions." Asimov agreed.
Kira left for her room in order to obtain some silence. If anyone saw Moebius, they would treat him like they treated her at S-FIT. Once she shut the door, Kira turned her console on and got right to work.
"Does Elise want to kill Nova too?" Kira asked.
Prado's image came up.
"Has she done it yet?" Kira wondered.
Serpentine's picture was seen.
"From what you told me before she's been wanting to do this for a while. Do you want me to write about it happening?" Kira guessed.
Zed's photo was generated.
"This is definitely going to e some serious stuff to write. One wrong word or letter and everything could go sideways." Kira stated.
She then remembered about poor Sistina and all that she went through.
"I know I've been asking this for the past three days if I hired her. And today makes four. But, did it work?" Kira beged.
Sisitna's image was loaded.
"Are you saying she's my secretary now?" Kira hoped.
Prado's loading screen gave Kira all the confirmation she needed.
"Yahoo! Yes! Finally! I got Sistina away from Zed!" Kira cheered.
"What are you so happy about?" Gunvolt pondered as he entered the room.
"Is everyone else gone?" Kira inqueried.
"Except Asimov." Gunvolt confirmed.
"Okay, because I have weird good news. Sistina's working for me now. Since I have that long list of positions, I knew some help was needed. So, she keeps track of my schedule and stuff! I'm gonna hug her so much the next time I see her!" Kira replied.
Kira looked at Moebius who nodded.
'Does she know about you?' Kira pondered.
Moebius nodded.
'Are you okay with it?' Kira questioned.
He shook his head.
'Is it because you think the knowledge will hurt her? That she'll be sad when she learned who you are and why Zed is after us?' Kira worried.
She got no response. Probably because her brother was looking at Gunvolt. Kira turned to look as well. Gunvolt had a hand on his gun while his other hand was balled up in a fist.
"Jealous, Sistina." Moebius explained.
'Why is he jealous of Sistina?' Kira asked.
"Hugs." Moebius responded.
Kira facepalmed herself.
'He really thinks I like Sistina more than him just because I plan to hug her? Who do I have more information on? Well, there's way more on him since he's the main character. But still, with his personality you'd think he'd never know the meaning of the word jealous. Maybe he's been hanging around Lumen too much. Are you sure it's because he may not trust her?' Kira mentally droned.
Moebius nodded.
'So he trusts her with me?' Kira assumed.
Moebius nodded again. Kira shrugged her shoulders. She would never get to understand a lot of things. Apparently Gunvolt's thought process was another one of those things.
'Uh, speaking of Sistina, does she know about Apollo?' Kira guessed.
Moebius nodded.
And then Kira realized something very important she may have overlooked.
'Oh, I didn't think about that until now. I know you said I got the Septimas of all the ATEMS members at S-FIT. But there's no way since, oh no. I fought them all and got their blood on me. Then it was used to make a copy of their Septimas which were implanted into me.' kira remembered.
She suddenly got a strange feeling in her gut. It was telling her to kill Nova. Feeling rather worried about this, Kira decided to consult with Moebius. She turned on the console in her room.
"Does this feeling have a purpose?" Kira asked.
Sistina's image loaded.
"Is Elise feeling like this too right now?" Kira queried.
Cayman's photo was seen.
"Doe she want to kill him too?" Kira wondered.
Prado's picture was generated.
"Do you want me to write a plan of action? We can get rid of him tonight." Kira questioned.
Gunvolt's picture gave Kira all the confirmation she needed.
"Uh, she doesn't want to keep him around as an undead plaything right? Because if so, ew, gross. We had enough trouble with him while he was alive. I don't want to deal with him afterwards." Kira rambled.
Layla's image ws seen onscreen.
"I'm about to come up with a death plan so good I could write a book about it.' Kira grined.
And that is exactly what she did.
"Hopefully, Elise can use this to win. I don't want her to get caught. That's my best friend, she can't get caught. I'll deal with that if I have to." Kira whspered.
She stayed in her room a while, trying to plot out a 100% death rate. By the time Kira was done talking with Moebius and writing the plan, it was 4:45 already. Her mind slowly began to wander. She knew little to nothing about the delegates. Other than the fact that they existed. Kira opened her 3PS and began to play a new save file on ASG2. While looking at the delegates, Moebius pointed to the one wearing the purple tie and glasses.
"Mr. Ichito." Moebius informed.
Is that his name?" Kira guessed.
Moebius nodded.
Suddenly, Gunvolt entered the room and grabbed Kira's right ankle.
"Come on, we'd better get to work." Gunvolt notified as he proceeded to drag the poor, terrified girl off her bed without so much as the slightest warning. Rather than letting Kira fall to the floor, Gunvolt picked her up and lowered her to the ground. All of a sudden, Kira got a completely unannounced flashback. She was back to being strapped down on a metal table. Dr. Kamizono took a scalpel and used it to make a slit in Kira's throat.
"This should do it." Dr. Kamizono supposed as a snap sound was heard before Kira passed out. She could no longer concern herself with Gunvolt dragging her around like a rag doll.
"Why can I not eliminate him!? Ugh, I just don't get it and I hate it!" Kira growled.
"What's your opinion of Elise?" Gunvolt inqueried.
"She's my best friend and the only person within Sumeragi that I trust. She's the sister I never had." Kira cheerfully explained.
"I'm still impressed that you both managed to pull the wool over Dr. Kamizono's eyes. He couldn't tell the difference between you and Elise. Even though your transformations are very noticeably different." Asimov commented.
Kira wnet limp and fell against Gunvolt's right shoulder.
"I've heard of a silent killer but geez!" Kira fumed.
Kira could happily her Lumen humming Beyond the Blue as she cleaned the dishes.
"What are you talking about that's important enough to kill me?" Kira huffed.
"Zeno called me, he's still pretty upset with you and what you said." Asimov responded.
"he can be upset all he wants. I'm surprised he has the time and energy to be concerned with that." Kira stated.
"Anyways, you have good aim and terrible timing." Asimov warned.
"If life's a cruel mistress then my name must be life." Kira snarled.
"Well, it was nice to see you again Asimov. But we have to start preparing dinner." Gunvolt stuttered nervously as he picked up Kira off the couch.
She was slipping as her folded arms were the only thing keeping her from falling. Because of this, she didn't have the time to be embarrassed. Asimov left as Kira continued to squirm for her freedom. Once brought into the kitchen, she walked over to Lumen and asked to help with dinner or the dishes.
"You've never been this skittish before. What's wrong?" Lumen worried.
"A lot of things happened today which have never occured to me before." Kira complained.
"Asimov said he'll be keeping you and Zeno away from each other since you were so snippy." Gunvolt anounced.
"If I were actually behaving that way then I would have threatened him with scissors." Kira mocked.
"Raptor, aware, true identity." Moebius warned.
'I thought you said he didn't know my true identity! Is he okay with it?' Kira panicked.
Moebius nodded.
"This is really getting out of hand. As soon as we figure out one thing abut Kira, something else shows up." Lumen sighed.
"I know how you feel. I just heard that she's Asimov's favorite employee too." Gunvolt agreed.
"And now Raptor knows who I'm associated with so that's great. What's fantastic though is how he's not mad at me in the slighetst." Kira added.
"I think we should just get takeout for dinner. It's already six fifteen and we haven't even started cooking yet." Gunvolt supposed.
"Or I could make some noodles." Lumen suggested.
If she had a Septima capable of doing so, Kira's jaw would already be on the floor.
"She does that!?" Kira gawked.
"You didn't know?" Gunvolt questioned.
Kira shook her head.
"We'll just get takeout. There's a Chinese food place nearby." Gunvolt recommended.
"It's a little too late to drive. Why don't we get pizza instead?" Lumen advised.
They all agreed that pizza was a good idea. So, they got a medium pepperoni with a salad and brownie squares. After dinner, Kira took her shower and brushed her teeth. While washing her face, she was startled by a sudden visit.
"Do you keep the water on your face before using lotion or dry it off?" Gunvolt wondered.
Kira was rubbing some facewash on her right temple as Gunvolt asked this. She accidentally got some in her eye. He didn't notice this as Kira tried blinking it out. Her eye became bloodshot from the soap, not anger. She didn't say anything.
"Put facewash, place water on towel, rub damp towel on face, dry face with dry part of the towel, apply lotion and you're done." Kira explained through gritted teeth.
She had the towel near her eye to soak the soap and tears. Gunvolt grabbed it from Kira, thinking she got the steps wrong and believed she forgot to dampen it. He turned on the tap and placed the towel under the running water.
"No, please don't! I need that for my face!" Kira pleaded.
He turned off the water and wrung out the towel.
"This has got the be the worst meeting we've had by far." Kira remarked.
She had to grab another towel. When asked by Lumen about what happened, Kira told her the truth.
"I'll let you stay up for ten more minutes so you can calm down and make sure the soap's out of your eyes." Lumen notified.
Kira nodded as Lumen went to talk with Gunvolt. Damp towel in hand, Kira cleaned her face. Once the trouble causing towel was put in the bathroom, Kira went to bed. For a bit, she stared at the window.
She had a flashback while staring into space. She was looking out at Earth from Firmament. She was holding Berry. until someone on the right of her took him out of her graps. To the right of her was Nova.
He was holding Kira's stuffed bear beyond her reach. Nova stretched his right arm diagonally as far and high as it could go. She was getting tired of this and threw a bolt of lightning at Nova. It paralyzed him, allowing the bear to be freed.
It wasn't as bad as Kira's nightmare was though. She found herself stuck in a hospital room yet again. She wound up getting a needle stuck in her left arm right below her shoulder as someone held an IV bag with a tube connected to the needle. Kira woke up in a panic.
This was due to her being worried that either her nightmare was real, Nova was still round, Berry was gone or both. Luckily, the plush was safe and there were no sightings of the violet violence.
"I hope that death plan worked." Kira hoped.
"Failed, you, spotted." Moebius notified.
"That calls for a meeting to discuss reprocussions. Don't tell me he got Elise invovled?" Kira groaned.
Moebius nodded.
"Kirin, can you tell me why Elise was here last night? All three of her?" Gunvolt interogated.
"Nothing you need to worry about." Kira warned.
"You are my coworker and under my roof. Therefore your business is my business." Gunvolt reminded.
"Asimov will probably tell you later." Kira stated.
"And you're going to tell me right now." Gunvolt demanded.
"Joke's on you, I don't have to!" Kira laughed.
"She tried to weaken Nova and let Elise deliver the final blow. But try as they say, he didn't die. So they'll be stuck in a meeting tonight." Asimov elucidated.
"Why won't he hold still and let me kill him!?" Kira ranted.
Kira became extremely upset over that.
