Beginning AN: I've decided to end the Sonic Adventure 2 Arc with this chapter. since I set up the prologue to where the events of Sonic Adventure 2 happens around the same time as Voldemort's attack on the Potter Family I'm thinking of having one Sonic game Arc for each of the ten years leading up to Year 1. I'm thinking of doing a Sonic Heroes Arc next. in regards to who Maria would be teamed with in a Sonic Heroes Arc I'm thinking Team Rose with Amy, Cream and Big as her teammates. I would choose Team Dark because of the reveal of the Shadow Androids but I don't think Shadow would want to protect Maria and be constantly fighting Eggman Robots at the same time although he would have Rouge and Omega to help there. now on with the story.

Chapter 5: Sonic Adventure 2 Finale

during the shuttle ride to the Space Colony Arc Tails gives Sonic a fake yellow Chaos emerald saying that "It has the same wavelength and properties but it's not as powerful as the real one."

the idea is to use it to disrupt the eclipse cannon with the fake chaos emerald but sadly the plan to trick Dr. Eggman doesn't work and Sonic gets ejected in a space pod rigged to detonate once a safe distance away from the Arc but Sonic uses Chaos Control to escape using the fake Chaos Emerald as a catalyst and he warps back onto the Arc and appears in front of Knuckles who has reassembled the Master Emerald back to it's former glory.

Meanwhile in the space pod room of the Arc.

Amy was having a mental breakdown due to seeing Sonic get killed but Maria says "I don't think Sonic is dead yet Amy."

Amy asks "why do you think that Maria?"

Maria says "I think he used the fake emerald to use Chaos Control to escape."

Amy brightens up and says "I hope so Maria I don't think I could handle it if Sonic really is dead."

Meanwhile with Sonic

Sonic is running towards the Eclipse Cannon's reactor when Shadow comes running and says while they run "How did you survive the explosion?"

Sonic reveals the fake chaos emerald and says "I have you to thank for that Shadow. I used Chaos Control to escape by the skin of my teeth."

Shadow says "It doesn't matter if you used Chaos Control what are you anyway?"

Sonic says "what you see is what you get just a guy that loves adventure. I'm Sonic The Hedgehog."

Shadow says "is that so? well then prepare yourself your adventuring days are coming to an end."

and so while they run to the Eclipse Cannon's reactor they fight one last time for this adventure.

Shadow tries to hit Sonic with Chaos Spears but Sonic dodges them and uses the lightspeed dash and hits Shadow.

they exchange blows for some time but ultimately Sonic wins and runs towards the Eclipse Cannon's reactor.

but what nobody was counting on was what was going to happen when all seven Chaos Emeralds came together to power the Eclipse Cannon.

a message from Gerald Robotnik appears not only on a nearby computer but everywhere on Earth as well. Gerald created it upon being told Maria was fatally shot but before he took steps to heal her.(I'm not going to type it down go watch a walkthrough of Sonic Adventure 2 or better yet play it for yourself it can be played on Xbox Series S/X or Steam if you want a digital port instead of looking for an original copy for the Dreamcast or the Sonic Adventure 2:Battle port for the OG Xbox, Nintendo Gamecube or PS2)

after the message ends everyone even Dr. Eggman scrambles to stop the Eclipse Cannon from firing and eventually they find a conveniently placed Shrine for the Master Emerald and Knuckles places it there and says "The servers are the seven chaos, chaos is power, power enriched by the heart, the controller is the one that unifies the chaos." after reciting the prayer he says "oh mighty Master Emerald please stop the Chaos Emeralds."

The Master Emerald does as asked and the Chaos Emeralds stop powering the Eclipse Cannon.

while Knuckles was busy with the Master Emerald Shadow fights the Biolizard and defeats it but the fight is not over yet the Biolizard attaches itself to the Eclipse Cannon and starts a suicide dive towards Earth becoming known as Final Hazard.

Sonic, Shadow and Maria use the Chaos Emeralds to go Super Sonic, Super Shadow and Super Maria and warp outside to fight Final Hazard. (for Maria's Super Form simply replace Shadow's red streaks with purple streaks and have Maria's hair spike up similarly to Caulifla from Dragon Ball Super and have Maria's outfit turn purple with yellow outlines)

Sonic, Shadow and Maria take turns attacking Final Hazard and eventually defeat Final Hazard.

Sonic, Shadow and Maria use Chaos Control to put the Space Colony Arc in it's proper orbit again and Shadow does resort to taking his inhibitor rings off for a power boost.
after the Space Colony Arc is back to its proper orbit Shadow loses his super form and starts falling to earth but Maria catches him and She and Sonic return to the Arc with Shadow in tow.

as everyone prepares to return to Earth everyone now has time for a talk and Sonic says "Tails why didn't you tell me you were a girl?"

Tails says "well you never asked and up to this point I haven't hit puberty yet. but somehow Maria took one look at me and found out right away."

Maria says "that's right I did. but anyway I guess it's time to reveal why I'm alive to everyone who doesn't know."

Dr. Eggman turns on a nearby computer and plays the message that he and Shadow watched before they awakened Maria. which explains to the rest of the people there why Maria is alive and they accept it.

Shadow puts his inhibitor rings back on and says "once we're back on earth Maria we're going to spend some time together. I'll even help you, Tails and Amy with a clothes shopping trip to get you and Tails a whole new wardrobe."

Shadow doesn't have any idea what he just did.

he just volunteered to be the pack mule of a clothes shopping trip which is usually relegated to any male tagalongs of a clothes shopping trip and it's not a position many guys like being put in.

and with that everyone returns to Earth wondering what the next adventure will bring.

Ending AN: that's the chapter. I would have split the Sonic Adventure 2 Finale into two parts but I'm thinking of ending it here. next up can be an Interlude for the clothes shopping trip alone or both it and the prologue of the Sonic Heroes Arc.

Next Time: Amy, Tails and Maria go shopping so Tails and Maria can have a whole new wardrobe and drag Shadow along for the ride and soon afterwards the events of Sonic Heroes begins.
