Onward to the next Grand Trial
The next morning at the Paniola Ranch; Lincoln and Lynn, along with their cousins and Alola friends, all wake up to begin their day.
"What's the plan for today?" asked Lynn.
"I'm going to head over to where my next Grand Trial is and try to defeat Kahuna Olivia." said Lincoln.
"Are you ready for her?" asked Alola Lana.
"I plan on training up my Pokemon on the way there; but mainly my Lucario." said Lincoln. "If Olivia uses rock type Pokemon like we saw her use before against Team Skull, he'll have a major advantage."
"Good idea, Lincoln." said Mallow with a smile.
"Where's the Akala Island Grand Trial at?" asked Shane.
"It's at a place called the Ruins of Life." said Kiawe. "First, you'll need to head back to Heahea City, then once there, you head through a tunnel that starts on the south end of it called Diglett's Tunnel, and then once you exit it, you need to head down Route 9."
"There's a city along the way called Konikoni City you can rest up for a while." said Alola Lana.
"After Route 9, you'll need to head through Memorial Hill." said Kiawe. "Once you get past that, you'll have to go through the Akala Outskirts until you finally reach the Ruins of Life."
"Okay." said Lincoln. "Maybe I can stop by the Poke Pelago and see if the Pokemon I have at the Isle Aphun found anything."
"I'm gonna head for a Pokemon Center and do a swap for my new Passimian." said Lynn.
"We can stop by the one in Paniola Town and do that." said Kiawe.
"Let's get some breakfast first." said Shiloh.
"It is the most important meal of the day." said Lynn.
Once everyone had breakfast, the group leaves the ranch, with Kiawe's family waving goodbye to them.
"Alola, everyone." said Sima.
"Come again." said Mimo as she smiles at Shiloh, making him blush. The group makes their way to the Paniola Town's Pokemon Center where Lynn swaps her Hariyama for her Passimian.
Meanwhile, in Ten Carat Hill on Melemele Island; Chandler was looking at his new Z-Ring that had his Fightinium-Z Crystal on it.
"All right; I need a Pokemon that has fighting type moves, so the only Pokemon I have that knows a few is Pinsir." said Chandler. "Now to find a Pokemon to try this out on." He hears a scraping sound nearby; he looks to see a blue, rock-like Pokemon with a yellow hexagon in the middle of it, a brown rock on top of it, and two brown rocks resembling feet below it.
"Looks like I found a test target; maybe I'll capture whatever this Pokemon is too." said Chandler, as he pulls out a pokeball. "Pinsir, come out!" He throws Pinsir's pokeball and releases him. Chandler holds up his arm that has his Z-Ring on it and becomes coated in Z-Energy; he does multiple hand thrusts, sending Z-Energy into Pinsir, making the Z-Power symbol appear on it.
"Pinsir, use All-Out Pummeling!" said Chandler. Pinsir does air punches, releasing open palm-shaped energy blasts at the rock-like Pokemon, dealing super effective damage to it, and knocking it to the ground. Chandler takes out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Pokemon, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled a few times until it clicked. "Yes!" The pokeball vanishes and is transported to storage.
"I'll show those Louds; I'm gonna be the best trainer in Alola, and Lille will want to go out with me." said Chandler as he returns his Pinsir to his pokeball. Just then, the sound of flapping wings appears, making him look to see a whole bunch of Zubats flying towards him, making him scream and run away in terror.
Meanwhile, back on Akala Island, Lincoln was just getting back from the Poke Pelago, where he meets up with his family and friends in Paniola Town.
"Did you find anything good, bro?" asked Lynn. Lincoln holds out a large rock, and a couple of gold bottle caps.
"That's... uh... okay?" said Shane with uncertainty.
"Actually, the rock is a Hard Stone; if a Pokemon is holding it, the power of any rock type move it knows will increase." said Lincoln.
"You can give it to your Lycanroc." said Sophocles.
"Yeah." said Lincoln.
"What about the bottle caps?" asked Lynn as she looks at the items in Lincoln's hand.
"You have no idea how valuable these are here in Alola!" said Lincoln with excitement.
"Uhhh... how much exactly?" asked Lynn.
"Each one can be sold for thirty-thousand pokedollars!" said Lincoln.
"Whoa!" Lynn replied.
"And with two of them, you'll get sixty-thousand pokedollars!" said Shelby.
"I actually wish that Chandler jerk was here, just to see the look on his face." said Shiloh.
"He probably would've laughed at me at first before finding out much they were worth." said Lincoln.
"That sounds about right." said Lynn. Lincoln lets his Lycanroc out of his pokeball, and has him hold the Hard Stone.
"Let's get going." said Lincoln. But before he could return Lycanroc to his pokeball, he hears a familiar voice from nearby; everyone looks to see Team Skull surrounding a white, foxlike Pokemon with six tails.
"It's those guys again." said Lynn.
"What's that Pokemon with them?" asked Lincoln as he takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Vulpix, the Fox Pokemon. If you carelessly approach it because it's cute, the boss of the pack, Ninetales, will appear and freeze you." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"It's so cute." said Shelby.
"What are Team Skull doing with that Vulpix?" asked Lynn.
"I think they're trying to take something from it." said Mallow.
"Let's go see." said Kiawe as the group head over to where Team Skull and the Vulpix were.
"Hand over that bottle cap, Vulpix!" said Tupp.
"Please, stop." said a woman Vulpix was with. Tupp hears footsteps approaching them; he turns to see Lincoln and the others walking towards them.
"Not you guys again!" shouts Tupp, making his friends look to see the group, with Rapp's eyes locked onto Lincoln when she notices him.
"CUTIE!" shouts Rapp as she runs to Lincoln and hugs him while nuzzling his cheek, making Lincoln blush; Mallow storms over to Rapp and pushes her away from Lincoln and wraps her arms around him.
"Stay away from Lincoln!" shouts Mallow; Rapp glares at Mallow in response.
"What are you guys doing with that Vulpix?" asked Lincoln.
"We want the bottle cap it has." replied Tupp.
"That's still no reason to bother it!" said Lincoln.
"Why don't you all get lost?" asked Tupp.
"Except cutie there." said Rapp, pointing at Lincoln, making him blush.
"Why don't you make us, chump?!" asked Lynn.
"Sure; I wanted to have a rematch with you since our battle in Hau'oli City." replied Tupp. The rest of Lincoln's group, Zipp and Rapp walked away while Lynn and Tupp stood several yards from each other. Rapp put an arm around Lincoln's shoulder, making Mallow frown. Lynn and Tupp each pull out a pokeball.
"Passimian, you're up!" said Lynn, throwing Passimian's pokeball and releasing her.
"Come out, Raticate!" said Tupp, throwing a pokeball and releasing a Raticate. "Raticate, use Quick Attack!" Raticate charges at Passimian with incredible speed and rams her, knocking her back. "My Raticate has the Hustle ability, so his physical attacks are stronger."
"True; but Hustle also lowers its accuracy." said Sophocles.
"Passimian, use Rock Smash!" said Lynn. Passimian leaps at Raticate while her hand glows white and she smashes it onto Raticate, dealing super effective damage; Raticate slumps.
"Rock Smash weakens the defense of the Pokemon it's used on." said Sophocles.
"Raticate, use Hyper Fang!" said Tupp. Raticate leaps at Passimian and tries to bite her, but misses. "Darn that Hustle ability!"
"Now's a good time to test this baby out." said Lynn as she looks at her Z-Ring; she takes her Fightium-Z out of her pocket and inserts it into her Z-Ring. Lynn crosses her arms out in front of her before she becomes coated in Z-Energy; she does multiple hand thrusts, sending Z-Energy into Passimian, making the Z-Power symbol appear in front of her. "Passimian, use All-Out Pummeling!" Passimian does air punches, releasing open palm-shaped energy blasts at Raticate, dealing massive damage due to Raticate's defense being weakened by Passimian's Rock Smash; Raticate falls near Tupp's feet with swirly eyes.
"No way!" exclaimed Tupp.
"That was awesome!" said Shiloh.
"How'd you like that, chump?" asked Lynn. Tupp growls before returning Raticate to its pokeball; he tosses pokedollars to Lynn.
"She was just lucky." said Zipp.
"Hey; don't talk about my cuz like that!" exclaimed Shane.
"Want to do something about it?" asked Zipp, pulling out a pokeball.
"You bet I do." replied Shane, pulling out a pokeball.
"Looks like we have another battle." said Lincoln. Lynn and Tupp walks to the group while Shane and Zipp walk several yards from each other.
"Go, Trubbish!" said Zipp, throwing a pokeball and releasing a Pokemon that looked like a dark green garbage bag with arms that resembled trash spilling out of its body.
"What's that?" asked Lincoln, taking out his Rotom Phone and pointing it at the Pokemon.
"Trubbish, the Trash Bag Pokemon. Poisonous gas leaks out of it when it breathes. Muk that catch a whiff of that stench will come drooling." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Sounds like a Pokemon that Lana would like." said Lincoln; Lynn nods in agreement.
"Oranguru, go!" said Shane, throwing Oranguru's pokeball and releasing him. "Oranguru, use Nasty Plot!" Oranguru glares at Trubbish and energy surges through his body, raising his special attack.
"Trubbish, use Sludge!" said Zipp. Trubbish spits a brown glob of sludge from its mouth and it hits Oranguru, dealing damage; it turned dark purple under his eyes.
"Oh man; Oranguru's poisoned." said Lincoln; Oranguru coughs from his poisoning.
"Oranguru, use Confusion!" said Shane. The leaves on Oranguru's fan glowed purple; he thrusts it forward. Trubbish becomes surrounded by purple energy and it gets knocked back, receiving super effective damage; it begins stumbling around.
"Trubbish is confused." said Sophocles.
"Trubbish, use Take Down!" said Zipp. Unfortunately, confusion gets the better of Trubbish and it rams into a streetlight. Oranguru coughs from his poisoning.
"Oranguru, Feint Attack!" said Shane. Oranguru runs to the left and disappears; he appeared near Trubbish and punches it, knocking it to the ground with swirly eyes.
"Way to go, Shane." said Shiloh. Zipp drops to his knees and returns Trubbish to its pokeball; he then tosses pokedollars to Shane.
"You're lucky my Trubbish's Stench ability didn't activate." said Zipp.
"What's that ability?" asked Shelby.
"An ability that makes an opponent that gets hit by a Pokemon with that ability flinch." replied Sophocles.
"My Oranguru has the Inner Focus ability; it prevents him from flinching." said Shane.
"Bummer." said Zipp.
"Let's get out of here." said Tupp.
"Before we go, cutie..." Rapp started to say before she pulls down her mask and kisses Lincoln on the cheek; making him blush, and Mallow growl in response before she hooks one of her arms around one of Lincoln's making him blush more. Team Skull hops on their motorcycles and ride off.
"And don't come back!" shouts Shiloh.
"Here's an Antidote for your Oranguru, Shane." said Lincoln as he hands his cousin the medicine.
"Thanks, cuz." said Shane before he sprays his Oranguru with the Antidote. The woman that was with the Vulpix, walks over to Lynn.
"Thank you so much." said the woman.
"No sweat." replied Lynn. The woman lean towards her Vulpix and holds out her hand close to it; Vulpix drops the bottle cap onto the woman's hand.
"Here; this is my way of saying thanks." said the woman.
"You sure?" asked Lynn.
"Yes." replied the woman. Lynn smiles and takes the bottle cap. After the woman and her Vulpix walked away, the rest of the group walked to Lynn.
"That was amazing." said Shane.
"How much would a bottle cap like this one is worth?" asked Lynn.
"That one's worth ten-thousand pokedollars." said Sophocles.
"That's still a lot, and at least Chandler didn't get his grimy hands on it." said Lynn.
"That's for sure." said Shelby.
"Let's head to the Pokemon Center and sell yours and Lincoln's bottle caps." said Alola Lana.
"Good idea." said Lincoln. The group head for the Pokemon Center to do as planned before they start making their way to the site of Lincoln's next Grand Trial.
Meanwhile, back in Hau'oli City at the marina, Chandler, whose hair was messed up (a/n: Well, more than usual.),was getting on a ferry that was heading for Akala Island.
"Time to show Akala Island what Chandle McCann can do." said Chandler. (a/n: You mean besides cry like a baby while riding on an animal barely going one mile per hour?)
Lincoln's group is on their way to the Ruins of Life for Lincoln's Akala Island Grand Trial. What will they experience along the way as the Louds' Alola adventure continues?
