Spikemuth Gym Battles (Part Four)
After Piers returned after getting his Pokemon treated after their battle with Sam, he and Lucy were standing on opposite ends of the battle arena.
"You think Lucy can win?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"I'm not sure; Lucy's team has only ghost types, so Piers dark Pokemon will have an advantage." said Lincoln.
"I just hope Luce's Pokemon are strong enough to take whatever Pier's Pokemon throws at them." said Luna. Back at Royal Woods.
"Go get him, Lucy!" said Lynn Jr.
"You think Lucy can win?" asked Lynn Sr.
"If we believe in her, she might." replied Rita.
"I, literally, do." replied Lori.
"Me, too." said Luan. Back at Spikemuth, Lucy and Piers each pulls out a pokeball.
"Trevenant, go." said Lucy, tossing Trevenant's pokeball and releasing her.
"Scrafty, go!" said Piers, throwing Scrafty's pokeball and releasing it. It glares at Trevenant; her attack strength weakens from Scrafty's Intimidate ability.
"Trevenant, Will-O-Wisp." said Lucy. Trevenant forms a pink, light blue, and dark blue fireball between her hands. Treveant launches the fireball at Scrafty and hits it; fire surrounds Scrafty's body.
"Scrafty's burned." said Lana.
"Good move; not only will Scrafty take damage, but its attack strength has weakened." said Lincoln.
"Scrafty, use Payback!" said Piers. Scrafty releases black streams of energy from its body and they hit Treveant, dealing super effective damage. Scrafty flinches in pain from its burn.
"Trevenant, Horn Leech." said Lucy. Trevenant charges at Scrafty while her horns glowed green and she thrusts them onto Scrafty, dealing damage, and draining some of its energy while healing some of Trevenant's wounds. "Good thing Trevenant has that Rose Incense; it makes her grass type attacks stronger."
"Scrafty, Beat Up!" Scrafty lets out a yell; Piers other pokeballs opened and his Malamar, Skuntank, and Obstagoon comes out. All of Pier's Pokemon leap at Trevenant and they each strike her, dealing super effective damage. Malamar, Skuntank, and Obstagoon then return to their pokeballs. Scrafty flinches in pain from its burn and loses stamina.
"Trevenant, Wood Hammer." said Lucy. Trevenant charges at Scrafty while her hand glows green and she pounds Scrafty with it, dealing damage; Trevenant flinches in pain from the recoil damage done by Wood Hammer.
"Scrafty, Crunch!" said Piers. Scrafty charges at Trevenant and bites her, dealing super effective damage, and weakening her defense. Scrafty receives damage from its burn.
"Treveant, Horn Leech." said Lucy. Trevenant charges at Scrafty while her horns glowed green and she rams Scrafty with them, dealing damage, while draining its remaining energy and healing some of Trevenant's wounds; Scrafty collapses onto the ground.
"Good work, Lucy!" said Lola.
"Man, that was close." said Sam.
"Keep it up, Lucy!" said Ronnie Anne. Back at Royal Woods.
"That was a close call for Lucy." said Rita.
"But Trevenant still beat Scrafty." said Luan.
"Hope Lucy can pull through." said Lynn Sr. Back at Spikemuth, Piers returns Scrafty to its pokeball.
"You did good, Scrafty." said Piers. He puts Scrafty's pokeball away and pulls another one from his waist. "Go, Malamar!" He tosses Malamar's pokeball and releases it. "Use Night Slash!" Malamar leaps at Trevenant while dark energy surrounds the end of its tentacle and it slashes Trevenant with it, dealing super effective damage.
"Trevenant, Destiny Bond." said Lucy; Trevenant's eye glowed purple.
"Malamar, use Foul Play!" said Piers. Malamar grabbed Trevenant with its tentacles and it slams Treveant onto the ground, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out. A purple swirling light comes out of Trevenant's swirly eye and it hits Malamar; it gets surrounded by a purple aura and it collapses.
"What happened?" asked Leni.
"Destiny Bond causes the Pokemon that knocked out the Pokemon that used the move to faint." replied Lincoln.
"So, it's like that 'if I'm going down, I'm taking you down with me' sort of thing?" asked Lola.
"Exactly." replied Lincoln. Back at Royal Woods.
"Oh yeah! Even after Trevenant lost, she still beat that Malamar!" said Lynn Jr.
"Now Piers only has two Pokemon remaining." said Lisa.
"Lucy can take them." said Lynn Jr. Back at Spikemuth, Lucy returned Trevenant to her pokeball while Piers returned Malamar to its pokeball.
"You did good, Trevenant." said Lucy.
"So did you, Malamar." said Piers. They both put their pokeballs away, then they each pull another one from their waists. "Skuntank, go!" He throws Skuntank's pokeball and releases it.
"Dusknoir, go." said Lucy, throwing Dusknoir's pokeball and releasing him. "Dusknoir, Fire Punch." Dusknoir floats at Skuntank while his fist is covered in fire.
"Skuntank, Sucker Punch!" said PIers. Skuntank's paw becomes surrounded by dark energy; when Dusknoir got close, it punches Dusknoir with its paw, dealing super effective damage. Dusknoir then punches Skuntank with its fiery fist, dealing damage.
"Now use Thunder Punch." said Lucy. Dusknoir other hand becomes surrounded by electricity; he punches Skuntank with it, dealing damage to it. Skuntank begins to twitch.
"Skuntank's paralyzed." said Clyde.
"Skuntank, Flamethrower!" said Piers. Skuntank fights through its paralysis and releases a stream of fire from its mouth; it hits Dusknoir, dealing damage to him.
"Dusknoir, Ice Punch." said Lucy. Dusknoir floats at Skuntank while his hand glowed light blue and he punches Skuntank with it.
"Skuntank, use Bite!" said Piers. Skuntank fights through its paralyis and bites Dusknoir, dealing super effective damage, and making Dusknoir flinch. "Now use Acid Spray!" Unfortunately, paralysis stops Skuntank from attacking.
"Dusknoir, Hex." said Lucy. Dusknoir forms a ball of black energy with a red eye in the middle of it above her head. The eye releases multiple dark blue rings of energy at Skuntank, hitting it, and knocking it out; Skuntank becomes surrounded by orange energy and it explodes. Dusknoir gets caught in the explosion and falls to the ground, unconscious.
"That Aftermath ability's a real bummer." said Luna.
"You got that right." said Sam. Back at Royal Woods.
"Ooh, a double knock out." said Lynn Jr.
"At least Piers has only one Pokemon left and Lucy has two." said Rita.
"True." said Lori. Back at Spikemuth, Lucy returns Dusknoir to his pokeball and Piers returns Skuntank to its pokeball.
"You rest now, Dusknoir." said Lucy before putting Dusknoir's pokeball away and pulling out another from her waist.
"You too, Skuntank." said Piers before putting Skuntank's pokeball away and pulling out another. "Obstagoon, go!" He throws Obstagoon's pokeball and releasing it.
"You too, Decidueye." said Lucy, throwing Decidueye's pokeball and releasing him. "Decidueye, use Pluck." Decidueye flies at Obstagoon while his beak glowed white and he jabs Obstagoon with it, damaging it.
"Obstagoon, Night Slash!" said Piers. Obstagoon's claws glowed black and it slashes Decidueye with them, dealing super effective damage.
"Decidueye, Razor Leaf." said Lucy. Decidueye releases leaves from his body and they hit Obstagoon, damaging it.
"Obstagoon, Snarl!" said Piers. Obstagoon releases multiple purple rings of energy from its mouth and they hit Decidueye, dealing super effective damage.
"Leaf Blade." said Lucy. The edge of Decidueye's wing glowed green; he flies at Obstagoon and slashes it with it, dealing damage.
"Obstagoon, use Lick!" said Piers. Obstagoon leaps at Decidueye and licks him, dealing super effective damage; Decidueye begins to twitch.
"Decidueye's paralyzed." said Lincoln.
"Decidueye, Sucker Punch." said Lucy. Unfortunately, paralysis stops Decidueye from attacking.
"Obstagoon, Throat Chop!" said Piers. Obstagoon's claws become surrounded by purple energy; it leaps at Decidueye and jabs his throat with its claws, dealing super effective damage. Decidueye drops to one knee; he suddenly becomes surrounded by a green aura.
"I think that Decidueye's Overgrow ability." said Lucy. "Decidueye, Leaf Blade." Decidueye fights through his paralysis and leaps at Obstagoon while the edge of his wing glowed green; he slashes Obstagoon with it as he flew past it and he lands on his feet. Both Pokemon stood for several seconds until Obstagoon falls to the ground.
"Lucy did it!" said Clyde.
"Yeah; even when Piers had the type advantage, Lucy still pulled through!" said Lincoln.
"That was so rad!" said Sam.
"Yay, Lucy!" said Leni. Back at Royal Woods, everyone was cheering for Lucy.
"She won!" said Lynn Sr.
"See what happens when we believe?" asked Rita.
"Yeah; it helped Lucy win." replied Luan.
"Way to go, Lucy!" said Lori.
"Hooway for Wucy!" cheered Lily. Back at Spikemuth, Piers returned Obstagoon to its pokeball.
"You did all you could, Obstagoon." said Piers. He puts Obstagoon's pokeball away and walks to Lucy. "You're a strong trainer, despite using Pokemon mine had an advantage over."
"I guess I trained my Pokemon well." replied Lucy. Piers reaches into his pocket and pulls out a Dark Badge, along with pokedollars.
"Since you beat me, I must reward you with the Dark Badge." said Piers. He gives Lucy the Dark Badge and the pokedollars. Piers then turned towards the group. "So, who'll battle me next?"
"I will." replied Ronnie Anne.
"As soon as my Pokemon are treated, we will have our battle." said Piers. As Ronnie Anne gets up off her seat and starts walking to the battle area, she turns towards Marnie and glares at her, making Marnie wrap her arms around Lincoln and holds him tight, making Lincoln blush, and Ronnie Anne growl.
Twenty minutes later, Piers returns and takes his place in the battle area, ready to battle Ronnie Anne.
"You ready, young lady?" asked Piers.
"Better believe I am." said Ronnie Anne. She and Piers each take a pokeball off their waists. Piers throws his, releasing his Scrafty, while Ronnie Anne tosses hers, releasing her Hawlucha.
"Okay, Hawlucha; use Swords Dance!" said Ronnie Anne. Her Hawlucha does a few twirls, boosting her attack strength.
"Scrafty, use Crunch!" said Piers. His Scrafty bites down hard onto Hawlucha, not doing much damage, but the attack did lower her defense.
"Hawlucha, use Flying Press!" said Ronnie Anne. Her Hawlucha launches herself into the air, then comes down belly-first onto Scrafty, dealing super effective damage.
"Scrafty, use Brick Break!" said Piers. His Scrafty brings down one of his hands with a hard chop onto Hawlucha's head, not doing much, even with her decreased defense.
"Hawlucha, use Aerial Ace!" said Ronnie Anne. Hawlucha does a loop before flying at Scrafty and slamming into it, dealing enough super effective damage to knock it out.
"Nice one!" said Luna.
"Keep it up, dudette!" said Sam.
Back at the Loud house, everyone there, especially Ronnie Anne's mother, were cheering Ronnie Anne.
"That was amazing!" said Bobby.
"YEAH! YOU CAN DO IT, RONALDA!" shouts Maria.
"And I thought we're loud when we support our kids." said Lynn Sr.
Back in Spikemuth, Piers returns his Scrafty to its pokeball.
"You did your best, Scrafty." said Piers. He puts Scrafty's pokeball back on his waist before pulling another one off it; he tosses it, releasing his Malamar.
"Hawlucha, use Bounce!" said Ronnie Anne. Her Hawlucha leaps high up into the air, disappearing from sight.
"Where is it?" asked Piers. He got his answer when Hawlucha comes back down and lands right on Malamar, dealing damage to it.
"Couldn't hit what it couldn't see." said Ronnie Anne before smirking at Marnie who frowns at her.
"Malamar, use Psybeam!" said Piers. Her Malamar releases a beam of psychic energy from its mouth, hitting Hawlucha, dealing super effective damage; Hawlucha starts to stumble around.
"Hawlucha's confused!" said Lana.
"Ronnie Anne needs to be careful." said Clyde.
"Hawlucha, try using Bounce again!" said Ronnie Anne. Her Hawlucha tries to jump, but her feet get tangled, making her fall onto her face.
"Malamar, use Psycho Cut!" said Piers. His Malamar swings one of its tentacles, releasing a blade of psychic energy at Hawlucha, hitting her, and knocking her out.
"You show her, bro!" shouts Marnie, making Ronnie Anne glare at her.
"Poor Hawlucha." said Leni.
"Ronnie Anne needs to turn this around." said Lucy.
Back in Royal Woods, everyone at the Loud house was continuing to support Ronnie Anne.
"I hope Nie-Nie can turn this around." said Bobby.
"GO, RONNIE ANNE!" cheered Maria.
Back in Spikemuth, Ronnie Anne was returning Hawlucha to her pokeball.
"Take a break, Hawlucha." said Ronnie Anne. She puts Hawlucha's pokeball back on her waist and pulls another one off; she tosses it, releasing her Larvesta.
"Good choice." said Clyde. "A bug type like Larvesta should have a double advantage against Malamar."
"Larvesta, use Bug Buzz!" said Ronnie Anne. Her Larvesta releases a loud soundwave that hits Malamar, dealing lots of super effective damage, and lowering its special defense.
"Malamar, use Pluck!" said Malamar. His Malamar jabs its beak into Larvesta, dealing super effective damage.
"Larvesta, use Leech Life!" said Ronnie Anne. Larvesta bites down onto Malamar, and drains its remaining stamina that she uses to heal herself, knocking Malamar out in the process.
"Good move!" said Clyde.
"She's in the lead." said Lana.
Back in Royal Woods, everyone at the Loud house was cheering Ronnie Anne on.
"YOU GOT THIS, RONNIE ANNE!" shouts Maria.
"Keep it up, sis!" said Bobby.
"She's got this!" said Lynn Jr.
Back in Spikemuth, Piers was returning his Malamar to its pokeball.
"Take five, Malamar." said Piers. He puts Malamar's pokeball back on his waist before pulling another one off it; he tosses it, releasing his Skuntank. "Use Poison Gas!" His Skuntank releases a cloud of poison at Larvesta, hitting her, causing the bottom of her eyes to turn purple.
"Larvesta's poisoned!" said Luna.
"Better finish this quickly, Ronnie Anne." said Lana.
"Larvesta, use Leech Life again!" said Ronnie Anne. Her Larvesta charges at Skuntank and bites down onto it, dealing some damage, and stealing some of Skuntank's stamina that's used to heal herself; she coughs from the poisoning and loses some stamina.
"Skuntank, use Venoshock!" said Piers. Skuntank sprays a glowing purple liquid from its tail, hitting Larvesta, and dealing double the damage it normally would've, thanks to Larvesta being poisoned.
"Larvesta, hurry and use Bug Buzz!" said Ronnie Anne. Her Larvesta releases another strong sound wave that hits Skuntank, dealing some damage, and weakening its special defense.
"Skuntank, end this with Night Slash!" said Piers. His Skuntank's front claws become coated in dark energy as it runs at Larvesta and slashes her with them, doing enough damage to knock her out.
"Harsh." said Sam.
"She can still win!" said Lola.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was still showing their support for Ronnie Anne.
"DON'T TAKE THAT FROM THAT GUY, RONALDA!" shouts Maria.
"Keep fighting, Nie-Nie!" said Bobby.
"I hope she wins." said Luan.
"I, literally, hope so, too." said Lori.
Back in Spikemuth, as Ronnie Anne was returning her Larvesta to her pokeball, Pier's Skuntank's front claws suddenly catch fire.
"What happened?" asked Piers.
"Larvesta's Flame Body ability." said Ronnie Anne. "If an opponent hits her with a move needing it to touch her with a part of its body, it could get burned."
"That should help a bit." said Clyde.
"Rest up, Larvesta." Ronnie Anne says to Larvesta's pokeball before she puts it back on her waist; she pulls another one off and tosses it, releasing her Lycanroc. "Lycanroc, use Rock Slide!" Her Lycanroc summons a bunch of large rocks and drops them onto Skuntank, dealing damage.
"Skuntank, use Sucker Punch!" said Piers. His Skuntank jabs at Lycanroc, hitting her in the stomach.
"Lycanroc, use Rock Tomb!" said Ronnie Anne. Her Lycanroc drops more rocks onto Skuntank, piling on it, and knocking it out.
"That's three down, Ronnie Anne!" said Lola. Suddenly, an explosion of energy comes out of Skuntank, hitting Lycanroc.
"Darn that Aftermath ability." said Lucy.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was still supporting Ronnie Anne.
"KEEP IT UP!" shouts Maria.
"She can do it!" said Bobby.
"We gotta believe in her." said Rita.
Back in Spikemuth, Piers was returning his Skuntank to its pokeball.
"Rest up, Skuntank." said Piers. He puts Skuntank's pokeball back on his waist and pulls another one off it; he tosses it, releasing his Obstagoon.
"Lycanroc, use Rock Slide!" said Ronnie Anne. Her Lycanroc drops a lot of rocks onto Obstagoon.
"Obstagoon, use Counter!" said Piers. Obstagoon's body glowed red before the rocks on it are launched back at Lycanroc, dealing super effective damage; Lycanroc drops to one knee.
"Lycanroc, use Rock Throw!" said Ronnie Anne. Her Lycanroc launches a bunch of rocks at Obstagoon, hitting it.
"Obstagoon, use Cross Chop!" said Piers. Obstagoon runs towards Lycanroc with its arms crossed together in front of itself before it strikes her with them, dealing enough super effective damage to knock her out.
"Poor Lycanroc." said Leni.
"Now Ronnie Anne only has one Pokemon left!" said Clyde.
"She can still win!" said Lana.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was still watching Ronnie Anne's battle.
"Ronnie Anne better do something quick!" said Lynn Sr.
"YOU CAN WIN, RONALDA!" shouts Maria.
"Do it, sis!" said Bobby.
Back in Spikemuth, Ronnie Anne was returning her Lycanroc to her pokeball.
"Thanks, buddy." said Ronnie Anne. She puts her Lycanroc's pokeball back on her waist before pulling her last one off; she tosses it, releasing her Blastoise.
"Don't give up!" said Luna.
"I won't!" said Ronnie Anne before she glares at Marnie who glares back at her. "Blastoise, use Rain Dance!" Her Blastoise starts doing some breakdancing, making dark clouds appear overhead that releases a downpour of rain.
"Obstagoon, use Snarl!" said Piers. Obstagoon snarls, releasing purple energy rings from its mouth that hit Blastoise, dealing damage, and lowering her special defense.
"Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!" said Ronnie Anne. Her Blastoise aims her shell cannons at Obstagoon and sprays out two powerful streams of water out of them that were powered up by the rain; they hit Obstagoon, dealing enough damage to knock it out.
"She won!" shouts Lana.
"Knew she could." said Luna.
Back at the Loud house, everyone there were celebrating Ronnie Anne's victory.
"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! RONALDA WON!" shouts Maria as she lifts Bobby up over her head.
"Calm down, Mom!" said Bobby.
"I'm glad she won!" said Lynn Jr.
"We all are." said Rita as she looks nervously at Maria who was still being overexcited.
Back in Spikemuth, Piers was returning his Obstagoon to its pokeball.
"Rest up, Obstagoon." said Piers. He puts Obstagoon's pokeball back on his waist and walks over to Ronnie Anne. "You did well."
"Thanks." said Ronnie Anne. Piers takes a Dark Badge, along with some pokedollars, out of his pocket.
"Since you won, you have earned this Dark Badge." said Piers as he hands the Dark Badge and pokedollars to Ronnie Anne.
"Awesome!" said Ronnie Anne before she smirks at Marnie who glares at her.
"I wouldn't mess with my sister." said Piers. "She can be a real handful at times."
"HEY!" shouted Marnie.
"Whatever." said Ronnie Anne.
"So which of you am I battling next?" Piers asked Clyde and Lincoln.
"I am." said Clyde. Piers nods before walking down the direction of the Spikemuth Pokemon Center to get his Pokemon treated. Clyde walks onto the battle arena and waited for Piers to return so they can have their gym battle.
Lucy and Ronnie Anne have defeated Piers and earned their Dark Badges. Will Clyde be able to so the same? Wait and find out.
