Lincoln to the Rescue
In East Province, Area Three; Sidian and Coral were wandering around in search of something.
"I'm so bored." Coral whined. "What are we doing here again?"
"We're searching for that girl with the pendant." Sidian replied.
"Why?" asked Coral. "If Gibeon wants a pendant so much, why doesn't he go to a jewelry store and buy one?"
"The pendant the girl has isn't an ordinary one." said Sidian. "We have our orders, so stop complaining and help me look."
"Fine." said Coral. "I'm gonna look over there somewhere." She then rides her Glalie over in a different direction, leaving Sidian to himself.
"Why am I always paired up with her?" Sidian asked himself.
Coral's Glalie stops behind a large mound of dirt; after it does, Coral takes out her Rotom Phone.
"I don't think it'll hurt if I take a little break." said Coral as she turns on her device and goes to Iono's livestream channel and sees a live broadcast being played, showing Iono, and a challenger, about to start a gym battle. "I haven't watched an Iono video in a while."
"Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready?" Iono asked her audience. "Caught in my Electroweb, your eyes are mine! Whosawhatsit? It's me, Iono! Hello, hola, bonjour; and now, it's time for... The Iono Zone!"
"Ooh! A new Iono video!" said Coral before she looks around to see if Sidian was nearby, and not gonna see her not doing her job; when she sees he wasn't, she continues to watch Iono's video.
"We are live in Levincia where I'm about to have a gym battle with my newest gym challenger, Sebastian." said Iono as she looks at a young boy in a Naranja Academy uniform. "And his outfit reminds me, after this match, I gotta meet my cute little Linky at the airport, and give him a big, welcome back to Paldea, kiss!"
Coral watches as the match begins and gets an idea into her head.
'Hmmm.' Coral thinks to herself. 'I think I'm gonna head to Levincia and have some 'fun' with Iono.' A big grin forms on her face, and she has Glalie fly towards Levincia.
Meanwhile, at the Paldea International Airport; Lincoln, Clyde, and their classmates, get off their plane.
"It's good to be back in Paldea." said Lincoln.
"Even though Kitakami was pretty cool." said Clyde. "And we have a lot of memories to look back on."
"Yeah, and I'm glad that Kieran got to catch Ogerpon." said Lincoln.
"And don't forget about Leni, Lynn, Lucy, and Lana, arriving here tomorrow." said Clyde.
"I know." said Lincoln. He then looks around for something or someone.
"What's up, buddy?" asked Clyde.
"I figured Iono would be here to greet me." said Lincoln with a blush.
"Let's see if Iono's doing a livestream right now." said Clyde.
"Good idea." said Lincoln. He takes out his Rotom Phone and uses it to go onto Iono's site. His phone showed Iono and her Magnezone, along with Sebastian and a singed Spidops, laying on the ground with swirly eyes.
"Nice try, Sebastian, I still won." said Iono. "But don't worry, you can come back for a rematch anytime." Sebastian nods before returning his Spidops to its pokeball.
"Looks like Iono won a gym battle." said Lincoln.
"Well, that's the end of that gym battle." said Iono. "If you'll excuse me, I have a cutie to meet at the airport." Lincoln blushes when he figured who Iono was obviously talking about.
"Looks like Iono's gonna be coming here." said Clyde.
"Let's head for Levincia, maybe we can meet her halfway." suggested Lincoln. They look back at Lincoln's Rotom Phone screen; as they watch Iono still doing her livestream video, they notice Coral, whose on her Glalie, floating down behind her.
"Who's that girl?" asked Clyde.
"Hey, Iono!" said Coral, getting Iono's attention.
"Who are you?" Iono asked Coral.
"I'm Coral." Coral answered.
"Are you here for a gym battle?" asked Iono.
"Actually, I'm interested in your Tera Orb that I've seen in some of the gym battles I was able to watch." said Coral.
"You wanna see it?" asked Iono.
"No, I just want it!" Coral replied, surprising Iono.
"This is mine!" said Iono. "You'll have to get your own!"
"If you won't give it to me, then I'll have to just take it!" yelled Coral. "Glalie, use Ice Beam!" A beam of ice energy comes out of her Glalie's mouth that narrowly misses Iono and hits her Rotom Phone, making the livestream video abruptly end, and shutting down Iono's livestream channel, leaving him and Clyde in shock.
"Iono's in trouble!" shouts Lincoln before he starts running in the direction of Levincia.
"Wait for me, buddy!" said Clyde as he takes off after his best friend.
Lincoln was racing across East Province, Area Two, as fast as he could, and with him being worried about Iono's well-being, he doesn't think to swap for his Cyclizar to help him get to Levincia faster.
"I have to save Iono!" said Lincoln as he pushes himself to his limits as he continues running.
"Man!" said Clyde as he has trouble keeping up with Lincoln. "I have never seen Lincoln like this before!"
As Lincoln continues running, his Lycanroc's pokeball bursts open and he comes out.
"What are you doing, Lycanroc?" Lincoln asked his Pokemon; Lycanroc gestures towards his back. "You want me to hop on?" Lycanroc nods in response, making Lincoln nod back and hops onto him.
"Let's hurry!" said Lincoln as his Lycanroc continues running towards Levincia. "Iono, I'm coming!" Lincoln and Lycanroc's determination, and focus on getting to their destination, flows through them, making a familiar sensation wash over Lincoln.
'It's this feeling I got during me, Clyde, Kieran, and Carmine's battle against Fezandipiti!' Lincoln thinks to himself before a white aura covers him and Lycanroc, making the fur on his Pokemon's head turn white, and his eyes blue; once that happened, Lycanroc's speed greatly increases.
'I'm riding on Lycanroc, but it feels like my hands AND feet are on the ground, and everything looks like I'm lower to the ground than I should be, considering I'm on Lycarnoc's back.' said Lincoln. He didn't care about the strange occurance right now; all that mattered to him was saving Iono.
Meanwhile, in Levincia; Coral was on her Glalie, chasing after Iono who was riding on her Magnezone.
"Come back, Iono!" said Coral as her Glalie fires another Ice Beam at Iono's Magnezone who narrowly avoids it.
"Not if you're trying to turn me into a popsicle!" said Iono. "Magnezone, use Flash Cannon!" Her Magnezone glows white before a similar-colored beam of energy fires out towards Coral and her Glalie.
"Glalie, dodge and use Sheer Cold!" said Coral. Her Glalie dodges Iono's Magnezone's attack before her Glalie's body becomes covered in a white aura that erupts and washes over Magnezone's body, freezing it, and knocking it out; making it fall to the street of Levincia, and Iono fall off.
"Magnezone!" shouts Iono as she runs over to her fallen Pokemon; she returns Magnezone to its pokeball and looks for an escape route.
"I don't think so." said Coral with a smile. "Glalie, use Ice Beam to make walls all around Iono so she can't get away!" Glalie fires an Ice Beam all around Iono, making walls of ice that surround her, cutting off any possible escape routes.
Meanwhile, Lincoln and Lycanroc just entered Levincia and run past several of Iono's fans who were in a panic over what was going on with their idol. Lincoln looks around and sees the large ice wall that Coral's Glalie made.
"That's gotta be where Iono and that Coral girl are!" said Lincoln. "Let's hurry, Lycanroc!" His Pokemon nods and takes off towards where he saw the icy barrier.
With Iono, she was scooting backward, with Coral slowly approaching her with a big grin on her face; soon, Iono bumps into the ice wall, and realizes she was trapped.
"Got nowhere left to go now." said Coral with a small laugh before a frown appears on her face. "Now hand over your Tera Orb!"
"No!" said Iono.
"I love it when they do things the hard way." said Coral. "Glalie, use Ice..." Before she could complete her sentence, someone else shouted from the other side of the ice wall behind Iono.
"LYCANROC, USE ACCELEROCK!" Lincoln's voice shouts out. Suddenly; something explodes through the ice behind and above Iono and rams into Glalie, dealing super effective damage, and sending it, along with Coral, flying back while spinning and crashing into a street light; they both fall to the ground. Iono looks to see Lincoln on Lycanroc's back landing in front of her; Lincoln jumps off Lycanroc's back and runs to Iono.
"Iono; are you okay?" asked Lincoln.
"LINKY!" shouts Iono, running to Lincoln and hugging him.; she begins nuzzling Lincoln's cheek, making him blush.
"I saw you were in trouble and came here as fast as Lycanroc could get here." replied Lincoln. Iono looks at him with adoration before she gives Lincoln a kiss on the cheek, making his blush intensify.
"My hero." said Iono. Back with Coral, she gets up and stumbles around, dizzily.
"Who did that?!" asked Coral. When she regained her senses, she sees Lincoln and Iono, with her eyes widening and a blush appearing on her face when she sees Lincoln staring at her with a look of defiance on his; she slowly approaches the two, making Lincoln stand in front of Iono, who had a scared expression on her face, in a defensive manner.
"You leave Iono alone." said Lincoln; a smirk appeared on Coral's face.
"You're cute." said Coral. Lincoln blushes in response, while a scowl appears on Iono's face. "I was just going to take Iono's Tera Orb, but I think I'll take you also as a bonus."
"Linky's mine, you hussy!" shouts Iono as she steps out from behind Lincoln and glare harshly at Coral who frowns in response.
"I want him; and whatever Coral wants, Coral gets." replied Coral. She turned towards Glalie.
"You're gonna get a black eye if you so much as touch my Linky!" said Iono as she holds a fist out towards Coral.
"YOU'RE RUINING MY ROMANCE!" shouted Coral.
"The only one who gets to have a romance with Linky is me!" said Iono as lightning travel between the two girls' gazes.
"Oh, really?" asked Coral through clenched teeth. "Ready, Glalie?" Glalie floats in front of Coral. "Let's teach Iono a lesson!"
"If you want to get to her, then you gotta get through us!" said Lincoln as he gestures towards himself and Lycanroc.
"Whatever you say, cutie." said Coral before she winks at Lincoln, making Iono growl.
"Let's do this, Lycanroc." said Lincoln. Lycanroc runs in front of Lincoln, still in his transformed state. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at Glalie.
"Glalie, the Face Pokemon, and the evolved form of Snorunt. Its prey is instantaneously frozen stiff by the cold air it exhales from its huge mouth. While they're in that frozen state, it gobbles them up." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Why does your Lycanroc look different than ones I've seen pictures of?" asked Coral.
"I don't know." said Lincoln.
"Oh, well, it doesn't matter." said Coral. "After I get done with Iono, you and I can fly off into the sunset on Glalie and go out on a date."
"HE'S MINE!" shouts Iono.
"Glalie, use Crunch!" shouts Coral. Glalie floats at Lycanroc while its teeth glowed white.
"Lycanroc, Double Team!" said Lincoln. Lycanroc glows white and creates several copies of itself. Glalie bites one of the Lycanrocs, but it was only a copy. "Now use Rock Slide!" Multiple gray rocks appeared in front of Lycanroc and they fly at Glalie; they hit Glalie, dealing super effective damage.
"Glalie, use Ice Spinner!" shouts Coral. Glalie spins around and creates a twister made of ice; it goes towards Lycanroc and slams into him; Lincoln felt a blow to his side, making him twinge in pain.
"What's wrong, Linky?!" asked Iono.
'Why did it feel like I took that attack also?' Lincoln asked himself.
"Are you okay?" asked Iono with concern.
"I'm fine." said Lincoln, still confused as to what happened.
"What about Lycanroc?" asked Iono.
"Don't worry, Iono; he's tough." said Lincoln as he looks back at Iono with a reassuring smile, making Iono blush. "Lycanroc, hit Glalie with Crush Claw!" His Lycanroc's claws glowed white before he thrusts them into Glalie, doing enough damage to knock it out.
"Glalie, no!" shouts Coral.
"Great job, Lycanroc." said Lincoln as the aura he and Lycanroc were covered in fades away, and Lycanroc's eyes, and head fur, return to their original colors.
"That's my Linky!" said Iono. Just then, Clyde shows up, nearly out of breath.
"What did I miss, Lincoln?" asked Clyde before notices Iono. "Hi, Iono."
"Hey, Clyde." said Iono. Just then, Coral takes a small black ball out of her pocket and throws it onto the ground, making an explosion of black smoke come out of it, covering Coral; when the smoke cleared, Coral was gone.
"Where did she go?" asked Lincoln as he, Clyde, and Iono looked around for Coral.
"Who cares?" asked Iono as she wraps her arms around Lincoln. "As long as she's far away from me and my Linky."
"What was with her?" asked Clyde.
"We should be careful for now." said Lincoln. Iono puts her hand on Lincoln's cheek and turns his face towards her.
"I think I owe you something." said Iono. "Can I borrow your Rotom Phone for a second."
"Sure." said Lincoln as he hands Iono his device; she inputs something, making a timer with two minutes set to it appear on the screen.
"That should be enough time." said Iono with a big smile
"For wha..." Lincoln started to say before Iono presses her lips against his; as Lincoln's face turns red, he looks at the timer on his Rotom Phone counting down before he realizes what it was for, making his blush intensify, Clyde grin, and Iono's fans, who just showed up, gawk.
Meanwhile, at the Loud house, and on the plane that Leni, Lynn, Lucy, and Lana were on; all the Loud sisters suddenly felt extremely happy before squealing with delight.
"Why did we do that?" asked Lana.
"Must have something to do with Linky." said Leni.
"Maybe he's doing something with Iono." said Lucy with a sort-of-smile.
"It's gotta be." said Lynn with a grin.
Two minutes later, Iono breaks the kiss, leaving Lincoln in a dazed state as steam comes out of his ears.
"Thanks for saving me, cutie." Iono says to Lincoln who was still stunned.
"That was a long kiss." said Clyde.
"I also wanted him to forget about that hussy, Carmine." said Iono.
"After that kiss, he probably won't remember who HE is." said Clyde.
As Iono's fans swarm Lincoln and start asking him questions that he was in no condition to answer; back in East Province, Area Three; Coral was stomping around with frustration.
"Stupid Iono!" said Coral.
"What's your problem?" asked Sidian who was approaching the angry girl.
"Nothing!" said Coral.
"Did you find the girl with the pendant?" asked Sidian.
"What girl with what pendant?" asked Coral with confusion, making Sidian pinch the bridge of his nose.
"Never mind." said Sidian. "She isn't here anyway, so let's search somewhere else."
"Fine." said Coral.
"Where's your Glalie?" Sidian asked, making Coral nervous.
"Uhhh... I had it use Self-Destruct, so it can't carry me around." said Coral as she looks away.
"Should've known you'd do that." said Sidian. "And I'm not letting you ride on my back."
"You're no fun!" said Coral. As Sidian walks away, Coral's thoughts are focused on a certain white-haired trainer.
'I hope to run into you later on, Linky.' Coral thinks to herself with a blush.
"Hurry up, already." said Sidian.
"I'm coming!" said Coral as she runs after her associate.
Lincoln has saved Iono from Coral. What else is in store for him and Clyde as their Treasure Hunt continues?
