Pokémon - Shiny Aura
Chapter 03: Tag Team P2 and Z Power
"Rookie, use Reversal on that Amaura!" Endre said to his Pokémon.
"Corvisquire!" Its body glows as it rammed into the opposing Pokémon.
Bam*
"Amau… Ra…" The Pokémon then falls to the ground unconscious.
"No, Amaura!" It's trainer shouted.
"Treecko, use Double Kick to finish off that Pawniard." Solips calmly ordered his Pokémon.
"Treecko!" It then started running towards the opposing Pokémon.
"Pawniard, counter with Metal Claw!" It's trainer ordered it.
"Pawniard!" Its arms started to glow brightly as it dashed towards Treecko.
"Don't flatter, you're more agile than it." Solips said to Treecko. "Finish it."
"Treec…"
Thud*
It then leaps forward and kicks the Pawniard on its belly using its left foot.
"Ko!"
Bam*
And then finished it with a kick from its right foot.
"Pawniard…!" The Pokémon then get sent flying back to its trainer.
"Pawniard!" Its trainer exclaimed.

"Oh my! Team 06 still reigns the battle from the start! Can Team 08 make a comeback against them?!" The announcer commented.
"Return, Rookie!"
Bzz*
Endre stored Rookie's Poké Ball and brought out a Cherish Ball.
"It's your turn, Lulu!"
Pop* Bzz*
"Ralts!"
Spark*
"Return." Both of the opposing trainers returned their fainted Pokémon.
"Go, Shellder!"
"Strike to victory, Kabuto!"
Pop* Bzz*
"Shellder!"
"Kabuto!"
"Hmm, in that case." Solips prepared to give orders to Treecko. "Treecko, use Bullet Seed on Kabuto!"
"Treecko!" It shoots out seeds from its mouth and launches it at Kabuto.
Thud* Thud* Thud*
Three seeds managed to hit it.
"Ka… Buto!" It survived the attack.
"Kabuto, use Aerial Ace on Treecko!" Kenshin ordered.
"Kabuto!" The Pokémon leaps forward and strikes Treecko.
Bam*
"Treecko!" It gets pushed back, but still stands still after taking the super effective attack.
"Lulu, use Charge Beam on that Kabuto!"
"Ralts!"
Bzz*
Lulu blasted off the electric charge at it.
"Kabuto!"
Thud*
It then falls to the ground and faints from the attack.
"With that, entrant Kenshin is out of the battle!" The announcer commented.
"Shellder, use Surf!" Caltis ordered her Pokémon.
"Shellder!" It leaps upward and creates a wave of water towards Lulu and Treecko.
"Treecko, Quick Attack, now!" Solips quickly said.
"Treecko!" It then dashed forward and leaped towards the Shellder, who's still riding the waves. "Treec… Ko!"
Thud*
It pushes off the Pokémon from its waves of water.
"Alright, then! Lulu, use Psychic!"
"Ralts!"
It raised both of its hands to activate its psychic powers to smash Shellder to the ground.
Bam*
"Shell… Der…" It instantly fainted.
"Shellder is unable to battle! Which means, the winner of the semifinal is Endre and Solips from Team 06!" The announcer commented.
"Yes! We're going to the last round!" Endre exclaimed. "Just one more match and we will win this tournament!"
"Don't be so sure yet." Solips said to him. "Our opponent next is quite tough. But it's not that we can't defeat them."
"Oh… How tough?" Endre asked.
"The Metal Brothers, Rusty and Russell, are a pair of brothers who specialise in Steel type Pokémons. They were known to have strong Steel type Pokémons in their arsenal." Solips explained. "Both of them have already showcased two out of three of their Pokémons, which are Scizor and Steelix. However, there's no clue about their last Pokémon, but I think it would be a strong Pokémon like Metagross."
"Aight, so what are you planning?"
An Hour Later…
"And now, ladies and gentlemen! The last match of this tournament!" The announcer exclaimed. "On our left, we have the magnificent, the fabulous sons of Triune's Mayor, the Metal Brothers of Team 01, Rusty and Russell!"
Both of them walked towards the field while waving back at the audience.
"And on our right, two rising stars that haven't lost their footing since the first match. From Team 08, we have Endre and Solips!"
They walked towards the field without doing any waving back to the audience, as they have one thing in mine. Well, two things for Endre. First, the strategy. And second, for Endre, sweet victory.
"Now then…"
As the announcer said that, all of them readied their Poké Balls.
"Let the final match begin!"
"Go, Rookie!"
"Charcadet!"
"Give us victory, Scizor!"
"You too, Scizor!"

As their Pokémon landed on the field, Solips glanced at Endre, which in return he nodded back.
"Sorry, man. But this tourney is ours. No hard feelings." Rusty said to them.
"Yeah, no feelings, dudes." Said Russell.
Both of them then started chuckling.
"Ugh… Too overconfident. Do all Trainers that specialise in a single Pokémon type are like this? Well… I didn't see that Riley dude acted like that. Either way, the formula to victory is already in our palms!" Endre then turned to his Pokémon. "Rookie, use Tailwind!"
"Corvisquire!" It flaps its wings, creating a powerful wind current.
"Huh, Tailwind? What kind of move is this, bro?" Russell asked.
"Hmm… I don't know. But what we know is that it doesn't do any damage." Rusty replied.
"...Say what?" Endre is surprised to know that they didn't know what Tailwind does. He turned to Solips, which also made a surprised reaction. "Well, this move is not that popular among regular trainers. But it does have some advantages."
"Charcadet, use Sunny Day." Solips said to his Pokémon.
"Charcadet!" Its body started burning up, as the field became hotter.
"Oh wow, they didn't attack, bro."
"Well, lucky for us. It's time to boost it up!"
"Alright, bro!"
"Scizor, use Swords Dance!" Both of them said to their Pokémons.
"Scizor!" Both of it boosted their attacks up.
"Oh, would you look at that! Double Swords Dance from the Metal Brothers Scizors!" The announcer commented.
"Alright then!"
"Here we go!"
"Use Iron Head on that Charcadet!" Both of them ordered.
"Scizor!" Both of the Pokémons then went towards the Charcadet.
"Return!" Endre returned Rookie into its Poké Ball. He then grabbed Lulu's Poké Ball. "Come on out, Lulu!"
Pop* Bzz*
Spark*
"Ralts!"
"Charcadet, use Heat Wave!"
"Char… Cadet!" It uses the wind current to initiate this attack.
"Scizor?!" Both of the Pokémon are being pushed back by the hot winds.
Thud*
"Sci… Zor…" Both of them instantly fainted.
"What?! I thought our Scizor is faster than their Pokémon!" Rusty exclaimed.
"I thought so, big bro!" Replied his younger brother.
"Huh… I guess Mr. Edgelord is right after all."
Before this…
"From what I saw, the Metal Brothers only focused on brawn rather than brain, as they preferred stronger moves rather than the weak ones. This will give us the advantage to outsmart them and claim victory." Solips said to Endre.
"So, what do you want me to do?" He asked.
"I want to see all of your Pokémons."
"Alright then." Endre dropped all of his Pokémons' Poké Balls onto the floor.
Pop* Bzz*
Spark*
"Ralts!"
"Frogadier!"
"Corvisquire!"
"Charcadet!"
His Pokémon cried as they went out from their Poké Balls.
"Hmm?" Solips then glanced at Cadet. "Isn't that…"
Cadet is nervous, as the trainer of the Pokémon it can't defeat is staring at it. But he shrugs it off and turns to its trainer.
"Corvisquire, Ralts and Charcadet. I want you to use these Pokémons in the match." He said.
"Hmm… Care to tell me what your plan is?" Endre asked.
Solips then went into his bag and pulled out something.
"This is my plan." Solips said as he's holding two CD cases.
"Technical Machines… For Sunny Day and Heat Wave?" Seeing that, Endre's head finally clicked. "I see… Okay, I know the gist of your plans now."
"Didn't expect a numbskull like you could even understand what I'm trying to deliver."
"Well, I didn't cope inside my room for five years for nothing."
"Is that so-What, cope inside your room? For five whole years?!"
Present time…
"Kuh… Return, Scizor!"
"You too!"
Both of them returned their fainted Pokémons.
"Alright, go Steelix!"
Pop* Bzz*
Thud*
"Steelix!"
"Here comes their second Pokémon!" The announcer commented. "Can the Metal Brothers make a comeback?"
"Steelix is slow, but bulky. However…"
"Charcadet, use Heat Wave again!" Solips said.
"Charcadet!" It summons the hot winds again towards the pair of Steelix.
Swoosh*
"Stee… Lix!" Despite that, both of them are still standing.
"Heh! How's that?!" Rusty exclaimed.
"Our Steelixs are able to take your puny Pokémon's attack with ease." Russell added. "There's no way both of you could-"
"Lulu, use Dazzling Gleam!" But Endre cut him short.
"Ralts!" The wave from the little Pokémon went towards both of the humongous Pokémon.
"Steelix!"
Thud*
With that, both of the Steelix have fainted.
"Hah! Who's Pokémons are puny now, huh?" Endre taunted.
"Don't get cocky, kid!" Rusty said as he and his little brother returned their Pokémons. "The show's getting started."
"Nay, the show is already done for. Return!" Endre returned Lulu back into its ball. He then grabbed another Poké Ball. "Go, Cadet!"
"Go, Metagross!" Both of the brothers sent out their last Pokémon out to the field.
Pop* Bzz*
Spark*
Thud*
"Charcadet!"
"Metagross!"
The Pokémons let out a ferocious cry.
"The Metal Brothers are on their last Pokémons. And to our surprise, Entrant Endre also has a Charcadet of his own. Will the Metal Brothers make a comeback? Or does Team 08 end this battle and become the winner of this tournament?" The announcer commented.
"There's no way that will happen!" Rusty exclaimed. "It's time to end this with Dynamax!"
As he raised his arm to point his Ultra Ball at his Metagross, he was suddenly stopped by Russell.
"Hold on a minute, bro! You said that I can Dynamax this turn! You already Dynamaxed twice! It's my turn now!"
"That wouldn't make any difference! We will still win in the end!"
"Nah! I want to Dynamax!"
"You're gonna get your turn on the next tourney!"
"Not fair!"
"Yes fair!"
"Grr…"
Both of the brothers started headbutting each other.
"Oh yeah," Solips said. "Those two actually had never won any tournament yet, despite always passing through the semis."
"Well, I can see why. But anyway, I've been meaning to ask… How did those two get paired when the numbers are clearly randomised?"
"The mayor and their eldest brother are good guys, you know. Them, otherwise…"
"I see. Rich and powerful people have problems."
"Indeed… In any case, can we finish this now?" Solips said, as both of their opponents were still arguing with each other.
"We should." Endre said, turning to Cadet. "Alright, Cadet! Use Flame Charge on Solips' Charcadet!"
"Char…" It then runs to the left with its whole body covered in flames.
"Oh, what's this?! Endre's Pokémon is going to hit its allied Pokémon!" The announcer commented.
Thud*
"Cadet!" It rams into Solips' Charcadet and returns back to its position.
"Char…" Solips' Charcadet's body is charging with flames.
"Ohho! It seems like Solips' Charcadet has gained some power up due to Endre's Charcadet hitting it!" The announcer stated the obvious.
"Charcadet, finish this battle with Heat Wave!" Solips ordered.
"Cadet…!" It sends the powerful flaming wind currents towards the two Metagross, which are waiting for its trainer's orders.
"Meta! Metagross!" One of them turned around to alert the brothers.
"What?!" Both of them turned around, and saw the attack. "Oh-"
Swoosh*
"Metagross!"
Bam*
Both of them then fainted to the ground.
"NO…!!!" The Metal Brothers exclaimed.
"And with that, the winner of this Tag Battle Tournament is… Endre Adler, and Solips Teivel!"
The crowd then started cheering for them.
"I don't feel like winning at all…" Endre muttered.
"In the end, a win is a win. No matter how… Incompetent the opponent is, it is still a win." Solips said.
"Well, I guess you're right." Endre agreed. He then turned to Cadet. "Sorry for making you stay on the sidelines. I guess that we weren't strong enough to challenge them without Mr. Edgelord helps."
"Char! Charcadet!" It then reassures him that it's okay.
"Right… Let's get strong together. All of you." He said while holding his Pokémons' Poké Balls.
"..." Solips stared at him.
Before this…
"So your plan is to make Rookie uses Tailwind to ensure that our Pokémons will move first. Then, you will order your Charcadet to use Sunny Day to boost the Heat Wave power. Since your Charcadet is holding a Charcoal, the Heat Wave power will be boosted even more, guaranteeing their Scizors in a single hit.
"As for their Steelixs, fearing that they will have the Sturdy ability, you wanted Lulu to finish it off with Dazzling Gleam, in case Heat Wave doesn't KO. For Cadet, you wanted it to hit your Charcadet with Flame Charge to activate its Flash Fire ability, boosting its Heat Wave attack even more to make sure that their final Pokémon would never survive the attack. Is that right?"
"Oh… Yeah… That's basically it." Solips is surprised with Endre's speculation about his plan.
Present time…
"There's no doubt that he's a Pokémon Battle genius… or maybe it doesn't hurt to call him a prodigy of sorts." Solips wondered. "Although, it's weird for someone as tactical as him to not start his journey earlier."
He then stared at the sky, while the sky was already orange.
"Well, it's not my problem."
"Congratulations, both of you." Trix Trinity, the new Triune Gym Leader, is giving both Endre and Solips their medals and gifts.
"Oh wow, Evolutionary Stones. That would come handy in the long run." Endre thought to himself.
"Alright!" Suddenly, the Rotom Phone went out from his pocket. It's time to take a wefie! Say cheese…!"
All of them get into poses while Solips isn't ready for it.
Click*
In the end, out of three of them, Solips are the ones who look kind of weird in the photo.
"Well then, I better get going. I hope both of you will challenge the gym. It would be great to have strong challengers like you two." She then walked away from them.
"Aight, I guess that's all for today." Endre muttered. He then turned to Solips. "Where are you going next?"
"Training. And I won't tell you where." He replied.
"Yeah, yeah." Endre understands that he doesn't want to be interrupted. "Oh, that reminds me. Why didn't you use Kubfu in this tourney?"
"It doesn't have any interest fighting in something like this."
"I see. You have a very competitive Pokemon."
"It has always been like that. Now then…"
Solips then leaves the stadium without turning back to Endre.
"What an uptight person… Oh well, I guess I should be leaving now."
The boy heads out from the stadium to go to the Pokémon Center, where he parked his bike.
During the sunset…
"Well, I'm officially the richest trainer right now." The cap boy said while riding his bike.
A while ago, he challenged every trainer that he could find to a battle so that he could stea-train his Pokemon to become much stronger.
"Now then, I guess I should return back-"
Zap*
"Huh?"
Suddenly, he heard a crackling lightning sound from his back. Endre turned his bike around just to see something floating in front of him.
"A floating… Pokemon's head?" He had never encountered such Pokemon before. So, he turned to his trusty floating Pokédex. "Hey, Rotom Phone. Can you come out now and scan this Pokemon for me?"
The said phone then flew out from his pocket.
"Sure thing, Sir…" But suddenly, Rotom Phone stopped speaking when he saw the Pokemon in front of it.
"Huh? What's wrong, Rotom Phone?" Endre asked, as he wants to know what Pokemon that's in front of him.
"That's… THAT'S…!!!"
"What is it?"
"IT'S TAPU KOKO!"
"Tapu what now?"
[Tapu Koko, the Land Spirit Pokémon. The lightning-wielding guardian deity of Melemele, Alola. Tapu Koko is always brimming with curiosity and appears before people from time to time. It confuses its enemies by flying too quickly for the eye to follow. It has a hair-trigger temper but forgets what made it angry an instant later.]
"Wait…" Endre looks at the data that the Rotom Phone provided. "Alola… Why would a Pokémon from there be here in the first place? And also…"
He noticed that the Tapu Koko in front of him is black coloured compared to the picture provided in the Rotom Phone.
"What is going on here-"
"Tapu… KOKO!"
Zap*
The Pokémon suddenly attacked him.
"Ah, crap!" Endre dodge the attack by jumping out from his bike.
Bam*
Unfortunately, the bike didn't survive the attack.
"You want a battle? Then let's get right into it! Rotom Phone, stay in my pocket. This will get dicey." Endre said as he pulled out his Pokéballs.
"Affirmative!" It quickly does that.
"Alright, Cadet. I choose you!" He threw its Pokéball to the front.
Pop* Bzz*
Spark*
"Charcadet!" The child-like Pokémon cried.
"It's an Electric and Fairy type. Unfortunately, all my Pokémon don't have any Poison or Ground type moves. Other than that, two of my Pokémon are weak against Electric moves. My hope now is on Cadet and Lulu."
Zap*
Suddenly, the field around them started to spark.
"What is this… Nevermind that!" Endre focuses on what's in front of him. "Cadet, use Confuse Ray!"
"Charcadet!" It then started glaring at the Tapu Koko, as an ominous purple aura spread around it.
"Tapu…"
Swoosh*
The opposing Pokémon suddenly disappeared.
"It's gone?!"
Swoosh*
Tapu Koko then reappeared on top of Charcadet.
"Char?!" Cadet was shocked by the speed of that Pokémon.
"Koko!"
Bam*
It then punches it and falls back.
"Cadet…"
Instantly, Cadet fainted from Tapu Koko's attack.
"It has speed and strength…" Endre reached for Cadet's Pokéball. "Return, Cadet!"
Bzz*
"It's a legendary Pokémon. Honestly, my Pokémon has no chances of defeating it. However…" Endre then stared at the Cherish Ball that he's holding. "Ain't no way I'm gonna run away! Go, Lulu!"
Pop* Bzz*
Spark*
"Ralts!" Endre's trusty partner has arrived.
"Tapu Koko!" The opposing Pokémon cried back.
"Okay, use Double Team!" Endre ordered.
"Ralts!" Multiple copies of Lulu spawn on the battlefield.
"Tapu!" Tapu Koko quickly clears the copies using its attacks.
Poof* Poof* Poof*
"Now! Lulu, use Dazzling Gleam!"
"Ralts!" A pink shockwave from the real Lulu stunned the opposing Pokémon.
"Tapu!" Once Tapu Koko finds the real Lulu, it then charges for its attack.
Bam*
The move successfully hits Lulu, causing it to fly backwards. However…
Fizzle*
"Tapu?!" It's body started burning up.
Endre then smirked when he saw that.
"Cadet's Flame Body works! Which means…"
"Ralts…!" Lulu still stood strong even when it got hit by that attack.
"Use Charge Beam!"
"Ralts!" Lulu quickly does that.
Zap*
It hits Tapu Koko, but it doesn't do that much damage. But Endre just wanted that power up from the move.
"Tapu…" The burn makes the opposing Pokémon become sluggish.
"Time to finish this off! Lulu, use Psychic!"
"Ralts!" Lulu used its psychic powers to entrap Tapu Koko, causing it to not be able to move.
"Tapu…!" It struggled to move around. Even so…
Crackle*
Sparks of electricity came out from its body as it tried to free itself from the psychic power that binds it.
"TAPU…!"
"Oh no! That's Wild Charge!"
"KOKO!" Tapu Koko freed himself and charged at Lulu.
Boom*
"Ralts!" The impact fled the small Pokémon backwards.
"Lulu!" Endre catches his Pokémon, but the weight of the impact also causes him to fly to the back.
Thud*
A tree then stopped him from flying even further.
"Ugh…" In the end, both him and Lulu then passed out.
"Tapu…" Tapu Koko then flew towards them.
It then stared at them for a couple of seconds, until it lifted its right arm.
"Tapu…"
Shine*
A black glowing orb then appeared on its right hand and flew towards Endre. The orb then wrapped itself onto his right wrist, turning into something like a black watch.
"Tapu… Koko…"
Swoosh*
It then disappeared from the area.
The Next Day…
Zzz*
"Huh?"
Endre slowly opened his eyes upon continuously hearing that loud snore.
"Where am I?" The boy looked up, seeing a wooden ceiling. He then tilted his head to the right, where he saw Lulu asleep while snoring. "As always, Lulu snoring sounds cute. But more importantly…"
Endre got up from the bed and scanned the room, where he saw all of his stuff on the table.
"Yesterday, I fought Tapu Koko and got instantly knocked out along with Lulu. But now… Where am I?"
Creak*
The door to the room suddenly opened. Endre quickly turned around and saw someone who opened it.
It was a little girl with tanned skin and ginger hair. But her face reminded him of someone.
"Markus?" He muttered.
"Markus? I'm Marceline. Why do you mistake me for my big brother?" The girl said to him.
"Wait, your Markus lil sis?"
"That's right. Are you one of his friends?"
"I guess so…?"
"Huh… This is the first time I heard that he has a male friend. Oh well, wait here for a minute. I'm going to call my gramps."
Marceline then closed the door to fetch her grandfather.
"A hyper big bro and a calm lil sis… That seems about right."
Creak*
The door opened again, but this time, a fairly older man aging around late 60's, approached him.
"Alola! It seems like you are just fine. My name is Martin Eagon. And from what I heard from my granddaughter, you are friends with Markus, right?" The gramps said.
"Yeah. My name is Endre Adler. I'm from Hoenn, but I'm currently staying here in Wifiot to complete the gym challenges and possibly challenge the Elite Trio." Endre said to the gramps.
"Hoenn? And I thought you're from Alola."
"Why would you say that?"
"It's because you possessed a Z-Ring."
"Z-Ring…?"
"Isn't that a Z-Ring on your right wrist?"
Endre quickly glanced downward, just to see that he does wear a black watch that was called "Z-Ring".
"Huh…?"
Despite winning the Tag Tournament, Endre faced the legendary Pokémon from Alola, Tapu Koko, and almost emerged victorious if not for it to fight back against Lulu's attack. But now, the same Tapu Koko itself also granted him a Z-Ring, which unlocked the powerful moves through Z-Crystals. Will Endre be able to master this newly acquired powers?
