"Hah, finally. My first destination." Gspoke with a smile as his ship landed on a dark purple planet that had numerous rocky formations in eyesight, looking through the window on the front of it as groups of fish-like humanoids gathered in front of it.
"Land & Open." Guru spoke in Namekian as he stood up & walked to the ship's hatch, waiting until the ship landed before humming as the hatch door under him opened & lowered itself away from the flooring.
"Greetings, Kanassans! I am Guru, student of Grand Elder Muru and member of the Dragon Clan! If it is possible, I wish to speak to your leader, please!"
"I am Commander Dulio, guard to the Royal Family & Commander of the Kanassan Infantry Army! Please, follow me!" A fish-man with scarlet scales & black accents spoke as he walked forward, dressed in a dark grey & blue armour that was also worn by the group of soldiers following after him.
"Of course. Please, lead the way." Guru gestured with a smile and Dulio nodded as he turned & began walking towards the large castle near the back of the city, Guru swiftly on his heels while the group of soldiers made a ring around them to keep the curious civilians away.
"So, where are you from, young Guru?" Dulio asked as they continued walking, Guru looking away from where he was looking at the scenery before answering his question.
"From Namek, Mr. Dulio."
"No need for the mister. So, what's a Namekian doing so far south from Namek & flying alone without a transport crew with him?"
"I am on a journey of self-discovery, trying to taste & test all the different cultures & races around the universe."
"Well, you're going to be on that journey for a while. The universe is one big place."
"Oh, that I understand. However, I am in no rush and most of my locations are actually quite close to each other so it won't take me long to get back to Namek."
"I see. Well, I hope all goes well on your journey. Now, it's just through here & down the road and we should reach the castle in a short time."
"You must be the young Namekian that landed on our little planet, yes?" A rather muscular fish-like human spoke with an amused smile as he sat on a raised throne, his scales a dark blue while being dressed in royal garb & a silver crown sat atop his head.
"That is correct, your Majesty. I am Guru, member of the Namekian Dragon Clan and student to Grand Elder Muru."
"So I've heard. It's quite the surprise to see a Namekian this far from Namek and without a crew to escort you."
"Your loyal vassal said the same thing, your Majesty. I am on a journey of self-discovery to obtain a deeper insight of where I fit in the puzzle we call life."
"Hahaha! Don't we all? Ah, if only I was a few years younger, I could have mayhaps joined you on this journey."
"We would be left without a benevolent leader, your Majesty." Dulio chimed in and Guru looked up as the King chuckled and nodded.
"That is true. So, young Guru, I assume you are not here just because you're on a journey to find yourself, are you?" The King asked with an amused smile, to which Guru gave a sheepish smile.
"Was it that obvious?"
"You forget that our race are the best telepaths throughout the cosmos. Your excitement & anxiety is visible for all of us to feel."
"R-Right. Ahem! If I may, would it be possible to learn your techniques, your Majesty?"
"Our telepathy? That's not exactly a technique to us. It's more something that we all can use since birth."
"Well, perhaps I can maybe figure out a way to make my own variation of it. O-Of course, only with your permission, your Majesty?" Guru proposed and the King hummed as he looked at Guru with a slight frown before a smile spread across his face as he nodded.
"Very well. I, King Ajuka, hereby grant the Namekian Guru permission to stay on Planet Kanassa for the foreseeable future to learn the techniques of our planet & create his own as long as we can be allowed to document his new technique with his permission?" Ajuka asked with a smirk and Guru smiled as he bowed.
"It would be my pleasure, your Majesty."
"Ahaha! Then, it is with great pleasure that I be the first to welcome you to Kanassa. Enjoy your stay."
"So, how would one describe telepathy?" Dulio asked as he walked in front of a platoon of new soldiers seated in front of him, a bit amused at Guru's large physique being seated at the back of the group before turning as a soldier at the front raised their hand.
"Yes, Kanari?"
"The capabilities to read the minds of those around you and at a later stage, control them."
"That is part of it, yes, but give me something more than that. Picla?"
"The ability to transfer information from one mind to the other without using physical communication?"
"That's just another aspect of it. What about you, Guru? Do you have a way to describe telepathy?" Dulio asked as he looked towards Guru, the rest of the soldiers also turning to face him as the large Namekian cleared his throat before speaking.
"A-Ahem! To be a telepath means to walk the road of the knowing. No thought remains a secret, every mind is open for one to examine & manipulate. The dreams & aspirations of every living being in your vicinity are yours to see & touch, yet they do not affect you." As Guru finished his explanation, he blushed a bit at the looks of awe & shock the soldiers in front of him and those around them had while Dulio had a wide yet proud smile on his face.
"Excellent! Yes! That's right! Many thinks of telepathy as this great gift, but every Kanassan knows what a curse it is when you hear the thoughts of those around you without meaning to. Now, Guru, how would you describe the mind?"
"A multi-layered & complex book that acquires a new chapter every waking moment of the day and yet, also fragile enough that it shatters with the slightest touch from an outside source."
"Good! You are correct on that as well. Despite how easily we are able to read the minds of those around us, it is only possible because of our innate gifts to do so. For the average telepath, reading the mind of different living organisms is far, far more difficult than one can expect it to be."
"So, if I were to learn how to do so, it would be the equivalent of traversing a maze while blindfolded?" Guru asked, frowning as Dulio smiled & nodded.
"Exactly. That is why the King didn't give you a time limit on our planet because it could take you a month or it could take you a year. It all depends on how much you try. Now then, let's start with training the basics in learning how to sense emotions. Guru, since you're still new, you're paired up with me." Dulio spoke and Guru nodded as he stood up and walked over to Dulio, the rest of the group gathering into pairs while the Namekian sighed as he readied himself.
'Here's to hoping this doesn't take long.'
"We are here to say goodbye to a friend that has proved to be quite influential in the development of our species!" King Ajuka's voice echoed across the city block as he stood in front of his subjects, Guru standing directly besides him with a smile as he saw Dulio and the others standing in the front row.
"Not only did he prove to be useful in understanding the ancient texts that our researchers have been struggling with, but he has also proven to be a genius as he helped us understand aspects of our telepathy that we could not dream of!" The crowd cheered at that as Ajuka turned to Guru, to which the Namekian turned to face him as well while going down on one knee.
Reaching to the side, one of his servants handed Ajuka a rather big ceremonial sword that had numerous gems embedded onto its blade, the king grabbing the blade and placing it on his right shoulder.
"In the name of the great Killa & the great divines, I hereby make you an honorary member of the great Kanassa. Rise, Guru, brother of Kanassa."
"I thank you for this honor, your Majesty." Guru spoke with a deep bow as he stood up and King Ajuka just laughed as he took Guru's hand and raised it high, the crowd roaring at this gesture while Guru chuckled as he raised his other fist as well.
"The honour is all ours. Now, let us feast!"
"I see you got bored of our planet after finishing your little project." Dulio said with a smirk as he & Guru stood in front of the Namekian's spaceship, to which the Namekian chuckled & nodded.
"Well, it has been a year and while the feast was fun, I must unfortunately be on my way."
"Then, good fortunes to you, dear friend. Travel safe and return to us well in the future."
"I make no promises." Guru spoke with a smile and Dulio chuckled as he nodded, the Namekian walking to stand on the open hatch floor of his ship.
"Ascend. Then, set a course for the nearest planet with sentient life." Guru spoke and the hatch lifted as his ship engines turned on, walking over to the main seat and taking a deep breath as the craft began to lift up from the ground.
Taking a final look at the city, he gave a smile before the ship turned to face the void that is space, watching as all light warped around him as the ship groaned before rocketing through the air.
'Hopefully this doesn't take too long.'
"No! You're supposed to focus and then teleport!" A large yellow alien exclaimed while pointing at the shorter green alien standing across from them, to which Guru simply rolled his eyes in frustration.
"Master Piki, I've been trying that, but Pybara keeps teleporting away!"
"I do not! You're just sensing my clones."
"See?!" Guru exclaimed while pointing at the snickering Pybara, to which Piki sighed before shaking his head.
"Pybara, stop playing pranks. Guru, focus. Close your eyes & locate his spirit." Piki spoke and Guru took a deep breath to calm himself as he nodded, closing his eyes as the world around him faded to black.
A moment later, a spark of yellow appeared to his left & in front of him, Guru frowning as he took another deep breath before imagining his own spirit right next to Pybara's.
The next moment, his spirit swiftly disassembled and reassembled right next to Pybara's, the Namekian opening his eyes before groaning as he saw Pybara standing where he previously stood while Master Piki had an amused smirk on his face.
"This is for stealing your Loggi crickets this morning, isn't it?"
"What do you think?" Piki asked, to which Guru let out a soft chuckle while Pybara burst out with laughter.
"Argh, fine! I'm sorry for taking them, but at least I didn't eat them. I can't even eat anything but water."
"I know. That is why Pybara is stuck doing the dishes for the next thirty lunar cycle."
"Wait, what?!" Pybara exclaimed with a shocked expression, to which Master Piki simply turned while raising an eyebrow.
"Did I stutter? I've already informed the others and lunch is about to end, so you better get going."
"I swear you do one prank and all of a sudden, you're stu-!" Pybara teleported away before he could finish his sentence, Guru chuckling before turning as Piki turned to him.
"It's been four years since you arrived on our planet and I can say with full confidence that you have learned every technique that we have to offer."
"Wait, really? I thought I still had a few techniques?" Guru asked with a frown and Piki chuckled as he shook his head.
"That was simply said to encourage you. Truthfully, I'm quite surprised that you managed to learn it in just the four years."
"A record?" Guru asked with a hopeful smile, to which Pybara chuckled as he shook his head.
"Not even close. That belongs to Pybara with two years, but quite close. So, how long have you been travelling?" Piki asked as they began slowly flying back to the main temple, to which Guru frowned with a hum.
"My first destination was Kanassa, which was almost a decade ago. Then, there was Arcose, Arlia, Beenz, Cereal, Zalt and after sixty planets, I lost track. I'd give a rough estimate of two or three hundred, to be honest."
"That's not even a thousandth of a percent of all the planets out there." Piki spoke with an amused smirk as they landed and Guru gave a sheepish grin as he nodded.
"Y-Yeah, turns out that our galaxy has almost a million planets that I know of and that's not including those that I don't know of & the rest of the universe. I might have underestimated how long my trip could take."
"So, you're heading home, then?"
"Truthfully, I want to continue my journey, but my family is probably wondering where I am." Guru spoke with a smile and Piki nodded with a chuckle before Guru rolled his eyes as Pybara appeared next to them with a grin.
"I thought you were stuck on clean-up duty?" Piki asked with a smirk and Pybara nodded.
"I am. I just wanted to say goodbye."
"Hah, fine." Piki spoke with a shake of his head and Guru chuckled before turning as Pybara turned to him with a smirk.
'See ya, Guru.' Even when his mouth wasn't moving, his words were loud & clear and Piki burst out with laughter while Guru was simply shocked to see his friend using telepathy.
'Did you…?'
'Copy your telepathy? Hell yeah, I did. See you when I see you, buddy.' Pybara greeted with a final nod before teleporting away, Guru simply staring at the spot where his friend previously was before shaking his head as he looked towards the laughing Piki.
"Ahahaha! I knew there was a reason I loved teaching the little idiot."
"Hah, glad to see you having fun, Master. Well, I'll be leaving."
"Hahaha! Ah, that was a good one. So, are you teleporting?" Piki asked after finally calming down, to which Guru looked at his spaceship while shaking his head.
"This time, I think I just want to take my time heading back & get myself ready before I start my journey as Grand Elder."
"Well, I wish you good luck, my student." Piki spoke with a bow and Guru smiled as he bowed back.
"The same to you, Master."
"W-What…what happened?" The words felt empty to Guru as his staff fell to the ground, nothing but horror & shock in his body as he stared at the devastation in front of him.
In front of him, the main village/ city of Namek laid in ruins as countless bodies littered its street, rivers of purple blood flowing through the streets while a familiar figure sat on the floor while eating away at the skull of a young child.
"S-Slug?" Guru whispered, his eyes widening as Slug looked up and revealed nothing but malice & rage burning in his eyes.
"Brother! Finally, you're back! You kept me waiting, you know? It's been a lonely year on this planet, especially with the storm around us." Slug spoke while using a limb in his free hand to gesture at the storming clouds above them, Guru staring at his brother before rage flooded his body as his magic & ki roared into existence.
"Why?!" Guru exclaimed as he stared at his brother, to which Slug simply looked around with a malicious grin while covered in purple blood before turning back to his enraged brother with a simple shrug.
"Because I can, brother! They were all the ones who told me that I was destined to be evil from birth and that I did not need to know love, so I decided to not care anymore! Besides, their fear was far more tantalizing than any love they've shown me."
"What of my love, brother? Is it not needed as well?" Guru gritted out as his staff flew from the ground & into his hand, tightening his grip as Slug scoffed.
"Not at all, brother! I did enjoy our times as siblings together, but the day you went to train under Grand Elder Muru, I realized that not all beings were born equal. Therefore, I decided to make sure that I became equal to you by any means necessary."
"What about Katas & his son? Were they needed for you to become 'equal' to me?"
"I killed Katas and I wish I killed his son, but unfortunately, the little shit escaped! However, I am glad that you're still here! With your blood, my power will increase at least fifty fold."
"So, you believe yourself my equal now? Hah! Don't make me laugh!" And before Slug could respond, his eyes widened as Guru's ki coated his body while his magic power increased even more, the clouds above them booming with thunder while the wind began to pick up & sparks of scarlet flames began to appear around his body.
"On my name & title as Grand Elder Guru, creator of Porunga & father of Namek, I will make sure that your evil will hurt no one from this moment on!" Guru exclaimed as he spun his staff before pointing the top of it at Slug, the air trembling as he unleashed the full might of his magic.
"Then, by all means! Show me this wrath, brother!" Slug roared as he charged to his full power, a dark purple miasma radiating from his body before rocketing forward.
However, before he could even make it a few meters, he gasped as he slammed face first into an air wall, Guru swiftly catching his brother in a box made out of air before snapping his fingers.
As the air around Slug began to spark, the Namekian only had a moment to raise his guard before the box imploded upon itself, blazing orange flames raging in the sky as Guru waited before frowning as they were all snuffed out by a surge of ki.
"Did you believe that was enough, Guru?!" Slug exclaimed as he flew towards his brother, spinning through the air before lashing out with a roundhouse.
The kick however didn't even connect with Guru as he lifted a finger, a wall of air appearing in front of him before Slug wheezed as a literal tornado spawned from thin air & sent him blasting into the horizon.
Not finished with his attack, Guru pointed his staff at Slug & summoned a multitude of tornadoes around the evil Namekian, fusing them together to form a monstrous hurricane before flames exploded inside it & turned it into a blazing inferno of catastrophic proportions.
However, Guru knew that was not enough to beat his brother & raised his right index & middle fingers towards the sky, sparks of electricity gathering above him as titanic amounts of water began to rise from the ground.
"Darkness Blaster!" A roar came from inside the flaming hurricane before Guru's eyes widened at the sight of a gigantic energy beam rushing towards him, dropping his staff before gritting his teeth as he reached out & unleashed a super-charged burst of magic.
Within the blink of an eye, a large multi-layered energy shield appeared in front of him and deflected the blasts to all sides, Guru sad at how the attack was tearing the planet apart before growling as he pushed the blast back.
With a thought, both his energy shield & Slug's attack nullified each other as he also cancelled his flaming hurricane, Slug only given a moment for his eyes to widen before the kilotons of floating water surrounded him from all sides right as he pointed his electric-charged fingers at his wide-eyed brother.
"Namek's Wrath!" In the blink of an eye, heaven & earth quaked as a gargantuan lightning bolt tore through the sky, the sky turned a blinding white as it exploded against the water's surface with an ear-shattering boom.
"Hah…hah…hah…" Guru was taking deep, gasping breaths as he floated in the air, watching as the water rained down by the liter onto the land while a pungent smell of burned flesh hung in the air.
"Hah…hahahaha! Ahahaha! G-Good, brother! You didn't hesitate!" Slug growled with a grin as he was still floating in the air, looking ready to fight despite the missing lower body, arms & left side of his chest & face.
"What have you become, brother?"
"Death itself. However, it appears that your training under Muru gave you some well-wanted results. No matter. Remember me, brother for one day, I shall come back and when I do, I'll finally take your power & the power of every child you have." And before Guru could stop him, his eyes widened as Slug disappeared with a flash of pitch black & violet flames, watching as the flames disappeared before gritting his teeth as he slowly fell towards the ground.
Watching as the world around him was raging & storming, Guru gritted his teeth while raising his hands to the side, his staff floating behind him as it pulsed with power.
"My Dragon Balls, come to me." Guru chanted in Namekian and immediately, seven streaks of golden light flew through the air towards him, stopping in the air above him before crashing into the ground next to him.
"Porunga, are you here?"
"I am here, my creator. What is your wish?" Porunga's voice came from inside the spheres & Guru took a deep breath before he spoke.
"Gather all of your energy in one ball & use that energy to fully resurrect everyone that died here today."
"As you command." Porunga agreed and Guru watched as six of the seven Dragon Balls turned to stone, the one star ball now glowing brightly as it overflowed with power before Guru frowned as the energy pulsed in the air before dying down.
"Porunga?"
"I…I can't resurrect them, my creator."
"What do you mean you can't resurrect them? That is the one thing I made you for."
"Y-You made me to resurrect them one at a time, my creator. And even if I was able to resurrect them all at once, I…I can't do it without their souls."
"W-What do you mean 'without their souls'?" Guru asked as a cold chill ran down his spine and he felt his world falling apart around him as Porunga answered in a solemn tone.
"I am sorry, Elder Guru, but whatever your brother used to absorb their energy also absorbed their souls. For all intents & Purposes, they are truly gone."
As I opened my eyes, I blinked as the last of Guru's memories appeared in my mind, reaching up to my face before being surprised as I felt wetness on my fingers.
Lowering my hands, I looked at the tears before letting out a soft chuckle as I wiped the other away, looking up to see Porunga looking down at me.
"Thank you, great Porunga."
"It is merely for your curiosity that I showed you those. What you do with them is up to you."
"I will make sure to not misuse them."
"Then, I bid you farewell." As he finished speaking, I smiled as Porunga turned into a bright golden light while the Namekian Dragon Balls rose to the sky, to which I waited until the seven balls exploded into different directions before flexing my magic.
'Damn, so that's how you should use telekinesis.' I thought with a proud smirk as I held my hand up, the seven Dragons now glowing a dull & burnt orange as they hung in the air before I pulled them back to the ground.
I thought Frieza had some good mastery over telekinesis, but Guru showed me that I was just using the bare basics.
"Now, for these." I muttered as I placed the seven Dragon Balls from Earth on the ground, making the Namekian Dragon Balls float behind me before I spoke.
"Eternal Dragon. Great Dragon God and Friend to the god Dende of Earth. By Your Name, I summon you from your slumber and plead for you to listen to my wishes. Come forth! Shenron!" I exclaimed and grinned with glee as the sky above me darkened once more, clouds gathering as the seven balls glowed a bright gold before energy in a serpentine form rose up from them.
As the light began to die down, I was greeted by the sight of a traditional Chinese dragon floating in the air above me, green scaly skin covering his body while his underbelly was a creamy beige. A pair of brown antlers grew from the top of his head and as he moved, a pair of long flowing whiskers protruding from his snout swayed in the wind.
"I am the Eternal Dragon Shenron. You have been granted the usage of three wishes. Tell me your first wish."
"Great Shenron, shift the Saiyan cells of my body to match that of the Saiyan known as Broly whilst also making sure that these cells are perfectly balanced with my Namekian & Colarctian cells like the former Saiyan cells were."
"That will require the usage of two wishes." He spoke and I blinked before grinning in excitement.
"Oh, I thought it would take three. By all means, please." I continued and he nodded as his eyes glowed a dark scarlet.
As his eyes dimmed down, my own widened as I felt my body twisting & bulging, making me grit my teeth as both my Colarctian & Namekian Cells worked overtime to make sure I didn't explode on the spot.
I don't know how long it took, but it felt as if I was standing there for hours before finally letting out a gasp as the feeling of pain disappeared, leaving me standing there wide-eyed as I felt nothing but pure power flooding my body.
'…Holy shit.' That was the only thought I had in my mind as I stood there in awe, every cell of my body feeling as if it had been supercharged and as I reached for my ki, I quickly suppressed it as it raged under my skin.
"Okay, that's going to take a few months of constant meditation to get it back to the level of control I had before."
"Time is being wasted. State your third wish." Shenron's voice knocked me out of my thoughts and I smirked as I heard the irritation in his voice.
"Apologies, Great Shenron. Now, as for my third wish, please revive the being known as Frieza at my current location."
"That would be unwise."
"Given that he was in multiple pieces before he died? That makes my next step actually easier."
"Very well. Your third wish is granted." Shenron spoke as his eyes turned a deep scarlet and I smirked as the ground in front of me flashed gold before the light died down, revealing the miserable form of Mecha-Frieza chopped into tiny pieces while his eyes flickered around before locking onto me.
"You may not know who I am, but know this. Your power will be put to good use." I spoke with a smile as my tail extended, Frieza looking confused before his eyes widened in horror as the end of my stinger opened wide while I reached out & caught the Dragon Balls before they could fly off in random directions.
Lifting my tail to be above the pieces, I suck them all up like a vacuum and as I felt the pieces flowing into me, a grin adorned my face as a final thought flashed through my mind before the world around me faded to black.
'Oh, this power boost is about to be glorious.'
A/N: And Guru's memories finally end. I wanted to make it a lot longer, but this was at the time where I was still a bit unsure of where the story was heading so I tried to end it as fast as I could.
A bit pissed now that I did, but you learn from your mistakes.
And now, like always, you can go to my Pat-reon-.-com-/-KingCrimsonNova to read ahead on this as well as many other stories(Not many. Just three at the moment). If you want to, you are free to, but if you don't want, all's good as I will still be uploading here. This is just me trying to get some extra cash.
As always, read, enjoy, review and until next week...
