Chapter 58: Wizard's Gamble Pt 3
Mina is standing there with her power amplified by the Color Power Frenzy for she swiftly slams into Naugus but he is holding her off with a magical barrier. He breaks the barrier to knock Mina away with him peppering her with explosive wind orbs as sharp winds rip into her outfit and fur.
"Damn it," Mina unleashes tons of Plasma orbs to slam into Ultra Naugus making his magic shield strain for Naugus to note. She uses a Laser Drill combo to be able to grind against the shield at the speed of light and manages to break it but Naugus easily turns to smoke to let Mina faze through him.
"Interesting," Naugus said as he was not concerned by Mina's last-ditch effort to fight him. He unleashes waves of crystals to skirt across the ground with Mina flying through the spells but they explode catching her off guard. "Flare Dragon," Naugus summons a serpent dragon made of flames to loom over Mina to crash into her causing a giant explosion to knock Mina into a crystal.
Naugus tosses several crystals to stab into her body and explode shortly after. Mina keeps going to resist the pain from her wounds but Naugus is teleporting away from her strikes and energy attacks. "Void," Mina tosses two black holes at the evil wizard.
"Cute," he fires two dark energy beams to cancel out her most powerful attacks currently and blast her in the chest to weaken her further. He entraps her in a sphere of darkness to make it implode causing even more damage than before.
"Gee, he is so strong and I can barely let a hand on him," Mina thought as the ground underneath her explodes with blocks of stone erupting upwards trying to crush her. She tries to use her use Quake power to counter but Naugus's power over Earth is far greater and slams into her several times.
"Grave," Naugus summons spears of stone to cut across Mina's body with blood pouring from her wounds. "Blazing Hell," the wizard conjures a huge firestorm to swirl around Mina for she tries to escape but it heat is overwhelming her even with flame protection. Mina is screaming in pain as the flames burn off her outfit.
The pocket of flames explodes to knock Mina into a crystal tower to see her sporting a white sports bra and white boyshorts while being damaged as well.
"Damn it, this isn't flattering at all and I am getting my ass kicked," she looks down at her engagement ring. "I have to keep trying for his sake and everyone else," Mina is powering up but Naugus noticed she was losing power fast from taking all that damage.
"Seems like you are burning yourself out my dear, seems like you are trying to do what your clone did. Tap into a higher power but sadly that is not happening," Naugus said as Mina was beyond upset she couldn't unlock her version of Hyper Form.
"Damn it," Mina is dodging incoming spells with her using Laser trying to hit him. Naugus turns to flames to burn her on contact. She gets blasted by winds to pin her onto a crystal tower with Naugus shooting her with fireballs to destroy the crystal tower. Mina flops onto the ground to feel her body beginning to tear itself apart. "That is why I don't use Frenzy, keeping it up like this is tiring, to say the least," she thought.
"You are almost at your limit, give up and I will make this swift and painless," Naugus said.
"I am not going to stop until my body stops moving," Mina powers up again to pull out her last move. "I hope this works," Mina collets all the Color Powers into the body at a single point. "Here I come you monster. Final Color Blaster," Mina goes at the speed of light to engulf herself in all the colors of Hyper-Go-On energy.
Naugus feels a bit worried about this as he prepares a shield to block it. Mina clashes with the shield trying to break but Naugus notices his magical shield is breaking apart. Mina breaks the shield and slams it into his chest to knock the wind out of him but still standing.
"That hurt," Ultra Naugus said as Mina depowered down to be tapped out. She is on her knees as she gets punched by an energy beam to push her against the crater. "Your efforts were in vain of course but I will give you a final farewell to your future husband before you get married in the afterlife," he fires another energy beam to send her flying into the crater to crash beside Sonic.
"I am sorry, baby. I didn't finish the job. I am horrible, I want to be your wife but seems like it's not going to happen," Mina said as she reached over and got on top of him. "At least I can protect you before he tries killing us," Mina said as she grabbed his hands to kiss his lips holding onto him tight preparing to use her own body as a shield to protect him.
The Chaos Emeralds around the crater are floating around them as Sonic is glowing energy. "Made your peace, say goodbye to this world, Genocide Orb," Naugus tosses the deadly spell.
"Sonic," Mina holds onto him as Sonic's eyes widen for his magical runes to appear on his body with the emeralds merging with him again. A beam of light engulfs Mina and Sonic for it blocks the spell and destroys it on contact. Naugus is shocked by the raw power coming from the hedgehog.
"Impossible, where is this power coming from?" Naugus is shocked as the tower of energy disappears to see Sonic floating above the crater to hold onto Mina in a bridal style.
"Sonic," Mina is surprised to see Sonic is fully healed and looks different. Sonic has become Super Sonic again but added the red magic runes all over his body and his eyes are blue instead of red.
"Yep, better than ever. Thanks for sticking by me babe," Sonic said to kiss her on the lips.
"Always," Mina feels a soothing aura around her body to see it fully healed and restored to normal. "Thank you, what is this new form?" she asked.
"I combined Mystic with the Super Form. Mystic Super Sonic is what I am calling it," he said as he let Mina float beside him to be full to fighting form to become Rainbow Mina.
"Cool, we are going to show him the power of love and teamwork," Mina said as Sonic gave her a thumbs up.
"What is going on here…" Before he can say anything Sonic swiftly slams into him with a kick knocking him to the ground and making a big crater from the impact. "Arrow of Light," Sonic flies at the wizard at the speed of light with energy covering his body.
"Stop now," Ultra Naugus is summoning tons of stone walls but Sonic easily breaks them down and slams Naugus in the chest to knock him away. Mina follows up by using a Laser to tackle the evil wizard down onto the ground to stomp on him several times.
"Quake," Mina delivers a heavy blow to the chest to make the wizard spit blood onto the ground. "Hover," she lobs energy to make him float into the air with Sonic firing beams of fire and water to punch him into a tree. Sonic and Mina come charging in and slam into him to knock him through the tree.
"This is impossible, where did this strength come from," Naugus said as Mina and Sonic were holding hands.
"Because it's a miracle we made together and the Chaos Emerald grants us this miracle. We are going to kick your ass and take back that Planet Egg," Sonic said as he is peppering him with stone spikes.
"Cube," Mina slams her foot to turn Naugus into a blue cube for he is getting hit several times. The rock shards burst like grenades to injure the wizard further.
"I will not be defeated by such nonsense," Naugus conjures a powerful magic shield but Sonic saw this coming.
"Dispel," Sonic disables Naugus's shield to make him vulnerable with Mina striking him several times with her strong kick strikes. Mina fires a close-range Burst Laser to send him flying doing some serious damage.
"This nonsense is beating you, Naugus," Mina said as the couple kicked and struck him pushing him back. Sonic curls into a ball with Mina kicking him into Naugus's face. "Take this," Mina uses Quake to score several times with rock spikes to tear into Naugus's body.
"Time this, Aqua Dragon Blast," Sonic casts a spell to summon a huge water dragon behind as he lets it loose to slam into Naugus to get sent flying across the landscape. Mina follows up with tons of Plasma orbs to strike Naugus.
The wizard is getting overwhelmed by Sonic's new form and Mina's resolve with his spells falling apart against them. "Damn it, I didn't expect this. The Quickster's new form is overpowering my spells and the Mongoose is getting more precise and graceful with her moves. This isn't good," he thought as he fired an orb of energy into the distance for insurance.
Mystic Super Sonic and Rainbow Mina are peppering the area around Ultra Naugus with Plasma balls and fireballs. Naugus's shields keep breaking and he is getting injured. Both Sonic and Mina combine beams of flames to become a huge ray of fire as Naugus counters this with his own but gets quickly overpowered.
"Enough of this, I will finish you all off. Genocide Orb," Ultra Naugus goes up into the sky to prepare the biggest spell he has ever done. The spell is growing to a massive size casting a shadow over them.
"Mina, let's do this," Sonic said as they prepared for their final moves.
"Yes, let's end this," Mina said as they power up to use their best moves.
"Spiritual Ray/Final Color Blaster," the couple unleashed two beams of using every energy they got to merge into a giant beam. Ultra Naugus tosses the giant ball of death into the attack. The two moves clash with it creating shockwaves that shake the whole world. They are trying to overpower each other but Naugus notices his spell is getting pushed back.
"No, even with this Planet Egg. I still lose," Naugus said as his orb broke and he got hit by the energy attack getting engulfed by it. He feels his body fading away as he has a devilish grin. "You win this time Quickster and Mongoose but I still have insurance which St. John will carry out," Naugus said as he was vaporized killing him.
Sonic and Mina look on to see Naugus is gone and the Planet Egg floats down onto the ground being safe and sound. "Oh, we did it, we managed to win baby," Mina said giving him a big hug to give him a deep kiss.
They power down for Sonic feels refreshed to see all the Chaos Emerald go into the sky and scattered across the world once again. He just noticed that Mina is half-naked. "Gee Mina, what happened to your outfit?" Sonic asked to take in the beautiful view with Mina feeling quite embarrassed by this.
"Oh well, it was burned off in the fight. I was fighting in my underwear and I barely noticed," Mina said as Sonic pats her on the ass. "Sonic," she protested.
"Sorry, you always look good in anything. Puts a smile on my face," Sonic said as Mina sighed.
"Such a pervert," Mina said as she kissed him on the cheek. "Lucky you, I am into that," Mina said as they got a call from Tails.
"Guys, are you okay?" Tails asked on the radio.
"Oh yeah Tails, did you have any doubts?" Sonic acting cocky for Tails feels relieved.
"Goodness Sonic, you always do this. Pulling it off in the last minute," Tails said as Sonic laughed with Mina sharing in this as well.
"Well little buddy, we beat Greybeard and we saved the Planet Egg," Sonic said.
"Gee, thank goodness. It would be pretty bad if he left the planet with it. Cosmo would be grateful for what you did," Tails said.
"Also, the ancient city of Albion has been destroyed along with the Onyx Horde," Mina said.
"It's a real shame, that place holds a lot of history for Knuckles' people. There could have been some pieces of knowledge or technology but what can we do now," Tails said.
"Indeed, it was very pretty but sadly it has been lost to time," Mina said feeling sad as she would have loved to explore the ruins for herself.
"Well, we should celebrate. I'll get Nicole to call people and we can have a party," Tails said.
"Oh boy, I can't wait to munch down some Chili Dogs. I am starving," Sonic said to pat his torso.
"Indeed, I will see you at the workshop," Tails said as he looked over to see Mina getting a blush on her face.
"Sonic, are you forgetting something?" Mina asked.
"Oh yeah, about the ring," Sonic said as Mina looked at the emerald ring with warmth and tenderness.
"Gee, pulling it out like that near your death is quite dramatic," Mina said as he took her ring hand to hold it firmly.
"Hey, I thought I was going to die. I didn't want to have regrets but I want to propose to you the right way," Sonic said as he got onto his knee to look at the woman of his dreams. "Mina, you have always stuck by me thick and thin even at the door of death. We make one epic team and I want to make it like this forever until we grow old and die tighter. Mina Mongoose will you marry me?" he asked as Mina showed tears of happiness to be awash with love and care from the man of her dreams.
"Of course; I will Sonic. Let's get married," she said as they gave out a warm embrace to deliver a long deep kiss on the lips. "Let's go home and I will get into a new outfit. Then we can head for Tails' place to the party and go home to begin setting up the wedding," Mina said as they powered up and flew off back to Station Square.
"You can stay in your underwear," Sonic joked staring at her huge bust jiggling in her sports bra with Mina pouting at this.
"Sonic, I don't want people to see me in my undies. Only you can see me like this since you are going to be my husband soon," Mina said.
"Yeah I know, come on. The Badniks are gone for good, let's enjoy this peace," Sonic said as Mina smiled at this.
"Okay honey, let's do it to it," Mina said as they flew off into the distance with the world being saved by the heroic couple.
Elsewhere the dark orb sent by Ultra Naugus before his demise goes towards a cave where a certain Skunk appears at the entrance. "So, seems like your former self has been destroyed," St. John said as a voice popped into St. John's mind.
"It's understandable, he was a fool to go after them like that. Let's see what he has found within the ruins," the voice said as St. John absorbed the memories of Ultra Naugus just before he died. The voice is deeply interested in his findings in the lost city.
"Find anything useful?" he asked.
"Yes, he has found information about the Precursors we needed," the voice said.
"Precursors, I thought they were myths," St. John said.
"They are lost to time but the Echidnas found the Precursor's technology, reverse-engineered it, and became the most powerful force this world has ever seen. Even today, the Echidnas like the Nocturnus Clan surpass current technology by a landslide," the voice said as St John went through the cave tunnels to meet up with the others for he continued.
"The Precursors were powerful godlike beings that existed at the beginning of time. Their control over the elements allowed them to shape and bend the universe into what it is today. Even they created the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald to create weapons of unbelievable power. But I want more than that, I want to unlock the secrets of the Precursors and become like them. Shapers of reality itself," the voice said.
"This will help with my goals?" St John asked.
"Yes, I will reward you with a world where there are no humans. Just Mobians living on this rock. You will be my apprentice and we will work towards a new universal order," the voice said.
"Deal," St John said as the voice was pleased.
"Good, now we speak with the others," the voice said as they spotted three members of their new group along with a fourth member who broke out of jail recently.
"Seems like your insurance work boss," the rabbit lady said as St John was getting taken over by a piece of Naugus's soul which possessed his body.
"Yes Carrotia, it did work and my former self failed. Oh well, his failure will be my win," the dark soul said through St. John.
"Sir, we found this girl and she has an interest in our cause," the grizzly bear called Bearenger said as the evil soul walked over to the girl, Honey the Cat.
"So, I heard you want to get back at Mina and the others. I am game, she ruined my life and I want to get my status back," Honey said.
"You will get more than that. When I reshape the universe, you will be a famous singer with the Mongoose being a deadbeat under your foot," the Naugus soul said as the cat spotted an evil smile.
"Count me in, what should I call you?" Honey asked.
"Naugus has failed in his mission but I live on to continue his work. You can call me Walter Naugus, I will not go down the path of failure of my former self. I will become like the Precursors and the universe will be my to shape as I wish," Walter laughs through St. John for him and his new team called the Ixis Order to operate under the shadows to make their next moves.
A week has passed since the world is saved by Minerva in a bar in the city of Soleanna. She looks up to see the holoscreen showing a parade with Sonic and Mina greeted by the guests for their efforts to defeat Naugus.
"Playing the big heroine has always but this peace you made will be broken with my plan coming into effect in the future," Minerva pulls out a data chip that holds all of Snively's robot designs and information about Precursor's machines called Forges. "Just you wait Mina, I am going to rock this world to its very core," she said as she drank a glass of whisky for a green hedgehog to sit beside her.
"Hey there baby, you need some company?" he asked as Minerva turned her face to him for she was quite smitten by his good looks.
"Damn, he is quite sexy," Minerva thought as she nods her head.
"Don't mind if I do," the green hedgehog said. "Give me what she is having and some Chili dogs as well," the hedgehog said.
"So, what are doing you here in Soleanna?" Minerva asked as she drank her whiskey.
"Kicking back and checking out the place. Seems too peaceful for my taste," the green hedgehog said.
"I know it's dreadful," Minerva said as the green hedgehog was quite interested in this mongoose.
"Yeah, so lame here. Looking all happy and stuff, so much corn right?" the hedgehog asked as this made Minerva laugh at his silly joke.
"Yes, indeed it is. I just want to crush it out of existence," Minerva said as the hedgehog not only liked her very curvy figure but her dark attitude was quite attractive as well.
"Gee quite the bad girl are you?" he asked.
"Better than being a goody-two-shoes and people taking advantage of you. Disgraceful," Minerva said as the green hedgehog nodded his head in agreement.
"Indeed, being good isn't all it's cracked up to be. Only weaklings believe that shit. If you have the power, you take what you want," the green hedgehog said as he got his whiskey and Chili Dogs. "Thanks, chief," the hedgehog bites into his chili dogs for he enjoys it. "These are not half bad," he commented.
"I agree, I have plans to take over this world and reshape it into something much better," Minerva said as the Hedgehog smiled at this.
"Now you are talking my language missy. Count me in," the hedgehog said.
"Good, I have big plans and I need a partner who shares in my vision," Minerva said as the hedgehog lightly touched her cheek for Minerva enjoyed the warmth of his hand.
"Well baby, I am your man. So, what is your name sweetheart?" he asked as Minerva liked this handsome hedgehog.
"Minerva Mongoose, what is your name my handsome stranger?" she flirted with him as the green hedgehog was sporting red sunglasses, a black leather jacket with red flames on them, green sneakers that matched his fur, and two scars across his chest.
"Well babe, my name is Scourge Hedgehog. This is the start of a wonderful relationship. You are a big upgrade from this girl I know Fiona Fox. She dumped me because I was holding back her 'true potential'. Nope, she got it backward but I send that bitch into Anti-Mobius for stabbing me in the back a few years ago," Scourge said as Minerva is confused by the term.
"Anti-Mobius?" she asked.
"Long story but what is your plan for taking over this dump?" Scourge asked as they finished their meal to head outside.
"With this data chip, I have data on these powerful alien weapons called Forges which can be used to make an endless army for us to use to conquer this world," Minerva said as Scourge liked this.
"Oh, that is handy, you did your research," he said.
"Yes, I am quite capable of that but we need to seek them out before we make our move," Minerva said.
"Indeed, I have been busy for a few years now with this bad boy," Scourge pulls out a small green gemstone that is attached to a ring around his right wrist. "This is the Soul Gem which allows me to absorb souls to get stronger as well as take the abilities of my victims as my own," Scourge said.
'Very interesting, we are going to make a deadly pairing," Minerva said.
"Yep, come on baby. We got a world to enslave," Scourge said as Minerva and Scourge went to plan out their rise to power for the world is set into uncertain peacetime with dark forces hiding in the shadows.
A/N: Now this is the end of the Naugus Arc. The next chapter will be the wedding and honeymoon of the heroic couple which is an in-between chapter before getting into the next big arc which is the Anti-Mobius Arc.
