Obi-Wan appeared with Peppermint in the Temple. Luckily, they didn't land anywhere Rattle Snake could spot them.

Gabby appeared to them, hanging upside down from a vine.

"Uncle Obi-Wan! Peppermint!" Gabby whisper yelled. "Thank the Force."

"We got here as soon as we could." Peppermint said. "How bad is it?"

"Well, the Bad Batch, Uncle Carmine, Aunt Caroline, Grandpa Qui-Gon, Aunt Kara, and pretty much every Council member, including Daddy, has been turned into babies, and so have just about all the other grownups here. The other younglings are okay, though, so we know Rattle Snake doesn't target kids, and we've gotten some of them to help round up the babies. But... we kinda need adult help with them."

Obi-Wan saw what Gabby meant when they entered the nursery. Taking care of babies was not something traditionally taught in the Jedi Temple. Even when the Code was changed, most of the childcare was left to the nannies and nurses. But now they were all babies too! Even the guards were changed into babies.

"What can we do to help?" Peppermint asked.

"Well, Peppermint, since you have a little sister, you know how to take care of babies, right?" Gabby said.

"I do."

"Well, you can give Uncle Obi-Wan lessons right now. He'll play a different role later."

"What kind of role?" Obi-Wan asked.

"I'll tell you that later." Gabby promised before running off.

Rattle Snake slithered across the Temple, looking for a way out. Unfortunately for her, with the lockdown in place, there was no way for her to get out.

"Ugh! There's no way out of here!" Rattle Snake complained to Mariverde. "What do I do now?"

"Go find any Jedi younglings you can find." Mariverde said. "One of them should possess the knowledge needed to open the doors."

"As you wish, Mariverde." Rattle Snake hissed before slithering away again.

But she didn't notice Lamenta sneaking up on her, as she'd turned invisible.

Lamenta carefully touched Rattle Snake's tail, and discovered that the item that was clavatized was the rattle at the end.

"Bingo!" she whispered. Unfortunately, Rattle Snake heard her, and quickly slithered back to constrict the girl.

Lamenta screamed loudly enough to distract the giant snake for a moment, just long enough for Lamenta to flee before Rattle Snake could try anything else.

"Okay, clearly destroying this villain's not gonna be easy unless I can get her to stay in place." Lamenta said.

Lamenta activated her communicator and contacted Gabby.

"Cousin, I found Rattle Snake's source. It's the rattle on the end of her tail."

"That should've been an easy guess." Gabby said.

"Yes, but she won't hold still long enough for us to break it or anything." Lamenta explained. "We need a new plan."

"Well, what do we know about snakes?"

"I don't know much except that some are venomous, some are not."

"Well, there's only one place to get more info. The library."

But with Jocasta turned into a baby too, the kids would have to navigate the library themselves.

"No worries," said Gabby. "I've seen Ms. Jocasta search for things lots of times."

Meanwhile, Omega, Obi-Wan, Peppermint, and some of the other younglings were getting exhausted as they were caring for Rattle Snake's latest victims.

"Shh! It's okay, Master Windu." Peppermint cooed to a baby Mace, showing him a plush ewok.

Omega started feeding Kara a bottle, but the baby girl kept spitting up.

"Why did messy eating have to run in this family?" Omega whined as she wiped Kara's little face for the fifth time.

Little Wrecker was crawling around, wanting to play with the baby ponies in their pen and Ganodi and Caleb were trying to keep them from escaping. Hunter and Crosshair were currently in a tug of war with a set of baby keys, and Byph was struggling to hold onto Indira as she got her wings going and started to carry him all over the place.

Qui-Gon seemed to like cuddling Gungi's soft, furry body.

"Agh!" Caleb exclaimed, seeing little Sapphire biting at his robes. "Sapphire, no!"

Caleb started to yank on his tunic, trying to get the little jewel pegasus to let go, but she thought it was a game and was persistent in pulling until she ripped a piece off.

"Aww! These were brand new." groaned Caleb.

Obi-Wan found changing a diaper to be easy, given that he'd looked after Anakin's babies before.

"Even as a baby, you made a lot of messes, didn't you?" Obi-Wan chuckled, holding a freshly changed and dressed Anakin.

Anakin cooed and started to play with his master's nose.

"Ugh. Gabby definitely takes after you." Obi-Wan said, remembering his goddaughter doing this all the time when she was a baby.

"In eight months, you're gonna be doing this kind of thing all the time." said Peppermint, getting a bottle of milk for Master Koth. "There we are, little ones. Drink up."

Feeding, burping, changing, and comforting all these babies, even for a big group of people, was proving to be so tiring.

"It's official. I'm never having kids." Petro said, burping Ahsoka, who then took handfuls of his hair. "Ouch!"

"You might feel differently about it when you're older, Petro." said Peppermint. "Remember, Obi-Wan didn't think he'd have his own family, and now he's gonna be a father soon."

"What is it with babies and yanking at hair?" said Katooni as baby Kit Fisto yanked at the things on her head. "Or whatever else hangs from the head?"

"That's just babies being curious." Peppermint said. "My little sister Firework used to bite my tail all the time when she was a foal."

Obi-Wan looked at Anakin as he rocked him in his arms and as Anakin was chewing on his little foot, Obi-Wan started to think a lot about his future with Satine. Very soon, he was going to be holding a little bundle of joy just like the one in his arms. Only, one that was an actual baby, not an adult transformed into one. He still couldn't believe how adorable his former Padawan was as a baby.

Anakin fell asleep in Obi-Wan's arms, but then Carmine started crying. Obi-Wan placed Anakin into a crib and picked Carmine up, his sense of smell immediately knowing what he needed.

"If Rattle Snake isn't stopped soon, we're going to run out of diapers before sunrise." Obi-Wan groaned as he placed Carmine on a changing table.

Gabby and Lamenta consulted the holo-net and found as many books on snakes as they could. So far, all they could find were facts about what snakes ate, the different types, how to repel them, and where they lived.

"None of these say how to get a snake to sit still." Lamenta said.

"Wait a minute." Gabby said, typing something on the computer. "Look at this. It says that snakes' movement slows down in colder temperatures, sometimes to the point where they appear motionless."

"But how do we do that?" Lamenta said. "We can't turn the temperature down in here. Then the babies would get too cold."

Gabby waved her hand, a few snowflakes appearing.

"Leave that to me." Gabby said. "But... we're gonna need a plan to lure Rattle Snake to us."

"Banjo, come here!" Peppermint said, grabbing Banjo with her magic.

"Hold still now, Maybelle." Obi-Wan said, struggling to hold onto Maybelle as she didn't want to be put down for a nap.

Just then, Gabby and Lamenta appeared in the room.

"Uncle Obi-Wan." Gabby said. "We need your help."

Rattle Snake continued to slither the halls.

Obi-Wan and the girls were around the corner, going over the plan.

"So, once Rattle Snake is at the correct spot, I'll freeze her in place, and then Lamenta can destroy the rattle." Gabby explained. "Got it?"

"And what exactly is my role in this?" asked Obi-Wan.

"Oh... You're the bait." Gabby said.

"Oh, I see." said Obi-Wan. Then he turned frantic. "Wait a minute! What?!"

Obi-Wan was pushed out to the corner, and Gabby impersonated Obi-Wan's voice, saying, "Rattle Snake, you missed one adult."

"I don't sound like that!" Obi-Wan muttered as Rattle Snake caught him in her sight.

Obi-Wan ran as fast as he could while Rattle Snake slithered after him.

Gabby and Lamenta immediately got to their positions, ready to spring into action.

Obi-Wan kept running until he found himself cornered at a dead end.

"End of the line, silly adult." hissed Rattle Snake.

"End of the line for you too, Rattle Snake!" Gabby said.

Gabby rubbed her hands together to make ice and snow appear, and blasted Rattle Snake with a burst of a tiny snowstorm.

Rattle Snake hissed and screeched as she felt the ice and snow freezing her. Being a snake, she was literally cold-blooded now, and it quickly became harder for her to move, and she couldn't lift her tail to turn Obi-Wan into a baby.

"Now, Lamenta!" Gabby exclaimed.

Lamenta got close to the end of Rattle Snake's tail and touched the rattle. And she then sang a special song.

Wither and decay
End this destiny
Break these earthly chains
And set the spirit free

A sort of black dust began to surround the rattle, engulfing it in the dust as the rattle slowly started to crack.

Take what has been hurt (ah, ah, ah, ah)
Grant them no mercy (ah, ah, ah, ah)
Bend and break the reigns

And the rattle was broken, and out flew the mariclava, which Gabby blasted with the Luminesk spell.

Suddenly, Rattle Snake, changed back into Hallie.

"Huh? What happened?" Hallie said, seeming to have no memory of what happened. "Where am I?"

That was when Carousella, Estrella, and Crescent arrived.

"Gabby," said Carousella. "Good, you're okay! We found out what happened."

Carousella showed the kids and Obi-Wan a tablet with security footage from a local shop. Hallie couldn't believe her eyes when she saw this.

"You mean... I did all that?" Hallie sounded shocked and felt so guilty. "But I didn't! I never meant-!"

"What happened, Miss...?" Obi-Wan said, helping the girl up.

"Karus. Hallie Karus." said the girl. "The last thing I remember, I was shopping with my friend Keena, and I was upset with my parents because they've been going gaga over Kisha, my new baby sister, and they won't make up their minds as to whether I'm helpless or responsible for everything she does."

"And then Mariverde sensed that jealousy and anger and used it to create the villain Rattle Snake." Lamenta said.

"Hey, Hallie." Gabby said. "I know what's it's like to be jealous. I just became a big sister too. As cute as the babies are, it is hard sometimes because my parents don't have as much time for me anymore. But just because your parents don't have as much time for you doesn't mean they love you any less. Your baby sister's gonna be counting on you someday. You might not know it yet, but she looks up to you, and she's gonna see you as her role model. So, instead of being upset with her, you can be the sister she needs you to be. And calmly tell your parents how you feel. Talking is always a good solution."

"She learned that wisdom from her own parents." Obi-Wan said. "And I'm certain yours are worried about you by now."

"Here, Hallie. I'll give you a ride home." Crescent said, motioning for Hallie to climb on his back. "Just tell me where to go."

Gabby and Lamenta then got the potion and the spell ready. Carousella, Estrella, and Peppermint each dipped their horns into some of the potion and went to different parts of Coruscant, and they and the two princesses cast the spell.

"Youtharus revarsius!" they shouted, and the potions blasted up into the air and spread throughout the area.

All around the city, every baby that wasn't really a baby turned back into a grownup!

All the Jedi, the Bad Batch, and the ponies turned back to their normal ages too!

"Hmm?" Anakin spat out the pacifier that was in his mouth and found himself stuck in a crib that was obviously too small for him.

Actually, a lot of Jedi found themselves stuck in cribs.

"How did we end up like this?" said Master Plo, trying to pry a baby chair off his rear.

"Mariverde." Gabby said. "She clavatized a girl and turned you all into babies."

Qui-Gon struggled to get himself out of the cradle.

"Wow, it's a wonder how this thing is strong enough." Sapphire said, using her gem to help Qui-Gon out.

Wrecker, however, continued drinking from the bottle he'd previously been drinking from.

"Wrecker, grow up." Hunter said.

"What? I'm still hungry." Wrecker said, going back to drinking.

"Same Wrecker." Omega chuckled.

"Good news is Rattle Snake's been taken care of." said Lamenta. "And she hasn't gotten any magical artifacts either."

"Shh! It's alright, Luke." Boba said as calmly as possible.

Luke and Leia were both crying for so long, and nothing Boba did seemed to calm them down.

Remix checked their diapers. They were clean. They weren't hungry either, and they didn't calm down much when Boba tried showing them toys or making funny faces. Remix even tried doing fun pony tricks for the babies. But the babies still would stop crying.

Boba didn't want to wake his grandmother up, but at this point he was about to break from all the stress.

"If you and Roya ever have kids," said Remix. "Pray you don't have twins."

"Need some help?" Anakin asked, walking in.

"Dad!" Boba exclaimed, accidentally scaring Luke. "Oh no, not again."

"Come here, little buddy." Anakin cooed, taking Luke into his arms. "Shh. Daddy's here. Remix, bring me Leia."

Remix didn't hesitate to give Anakin his other baby.

Anakin held both babies in his arms and comforted them.

"Shh. It's okay. Daddy's here, little ones. Daddy's here."

Anakin softly sang them his mother's lullaby.

And that calmed the twins down, putting them to sleep. Anakin kissed their little heads and let Boba take Leia into his arms.

"How do you do that?" Boba whispered.

"Parental instinct." Anakin whispered, placing Luke into his crib.

Boba looked at Leia and planted a kiss on her little head before gently placing her in a crib.

"Who could guess that such small beings could cause so much trouble?" said Carmine, recalling how many babies he and Kara had to rescue earlier.

"Well, if you and Caroline ever have another baby, remember to be ready for a ride." Kara said.

Omega yawned.

"I think I've spent enough time babysitting to last a lifetime." she said tiredly.

"Good thing tomorrow's Saturday." Gabby said. "'Cause I think I'm gonna be sleeping for a day and a half."

"That's assuming the twins don't wake us all throughout the night." Lamenta said.

Meanwhile...

"I may have underestimated the children's abilities as well as overestimated Rattle Snake's abilities." Mariverde said.

Mariverde thought to herself, and decided if she wanted to get a hold of any Solaran artifacts, she was going to need to recruit folks with magic of their own and anyone who used to be high in power with an axe to grind.

Mariverde called forth her magic mirror to show her all currently known beings of dark magic, as well as many of the most dangerous criminals in the galaxy.

"Now, if I'm going to receive any artifacts, I must first take care of those pesky children." said Mariverde, looking through the many images in her magical mirror. "But which of you would be the best recruit for the job?"
