Chapter 63: New flatmates.
Izuku has returned home, where Hagakure family was already moving in.
"Hi, everyone."
"Hi."
"There are still a few more rooms available, I'll clean up two on the first floor."
"Only my wife needs a room." The floating suit sighed.
"Why, sir?"
"I've discussed things with Nezu, my lawyer and that detective guy. They've already caught everyone who was associated with Uncle Kuze thanks to the files in his base. We don't have to worry about them. I'll take the fall for my family over the stolen money. They will get away with no consequences."
"Honey, are you sure about this?" The female disembodied voice asked.
"Yes, my dear. I've been dragging us down all this time; you'll be better off without me."
"But Dad, we love you!" The visible girl protested.
"I love you too, Tooru, but this has to be done."
"I'll be writing letters." The large dress said.
"Please, don't let me keep dragging you down. Find yourself a new passion, Kuria! Live a full life because you deserve it."
"I... um…"
"Promise me that you will learn to live without me." The father was insistent.
"I… I promise."
"He is still a better father than Dario!" DIO commented.
After a hug that extended to everyone in the building, Himitsuo helped with moving the boxes and left.
"Your mom accepted your dad's terms really fast." Izuku told Tooru when they were alone.
"She's kind of a passive person as a whole."
"You take after her it seems."
"You seem to like it." She sat on his lap. "So, Izuku. You said you'd punish me after the crisis is over. When will that happen?" She bit her lip.
"Soon. I'm still thinking about the ideas."
The entrance door rang, revealing an unexpected visitor.
"Melissa!" Midoriya jumped to hug the American genius. "I've missed you."
"I've missed you too!" She returned the hug.
He noticed a lorry behind her.
"I see you've finally moved to Japan. Where is your home?"
"Actually, I was hoping you'd me let live with you. Your… ehh… girls told me you let them stay with you. I hope that's not too much to ask for."
"Is that car full? We might now have enough space in this building."
"Don't worry, I can rent a place somewhere close by to stash my inventions."
"Why are you so insistent on being here? You could just live in the place you rent."
"I think the answer is obvious, Izuku."
"*Sigh* Well, I don't really have anyone else hang out with. Dad is imprisoned and too ashamed of himself to talk to me, Uncle Might is…" She started crying.
"All Might died as he lived: Protecting the innocent. Please, to keep that in mind, Melissa."
"Right. Have you tried the rewinding trick?"
"I was too stressed to sleep and had no quirkless people nearby, sadly."
"I guess even you can't save everyone all the time." She sighed. "Anyway… you believe that I can be a hero, unlike other people I know. I want to be with you, so we can help each other achieve our dreams."
"Okay. I'll introduce you to others."
"No, I want to do it myself. This would be good language practice."
Melissa spoke with a noticeable accent, but everyone was able to understand her. Inko jokingly said that house turned into a hotel and she should charge the people here. Ochako did not find that joke funny.
Mina came to visit her boyfriend. Upon discovering the new tenants, she asked Midori for a private talk. They hid in his room.
"When I asked you to move here, you said it'd be crowded. Now I see two more people coming in the same day. Why are they getting preferential treatment?" She crossed her arms.
"Um, Mrs Hagakure has the same problem as Uraraka and Melissa considers me her only friend right now."
"Ochako's parents recently got some kind of lucrative deal after the Kamino raid. Why don't you tell her to move out?"
Izuku's eyes widened.
"What if she throws me into space?"
"She wouldn't have the balls, kiddo."
"I kind of got used to her being here." He scratched his head.
Pinky face palmed at the answer.
"Let's hear what she has to say."
Space girl was eating leftover pasta from yesterday.
"Hi, Ochako."
"Hi."
"You are not Midori's girlfriend, right?"
"I don't like where this is going." The girl almost choked on a piece of meat.
"You came here because your family was in a bad financial situation, correct? I saw a familiar name in the news report regarding a renovation project. Your situation must have improved. So, why don't you move out and make space for me, mm?" Alien girl put a hand on her shoulder.
"Crap! I can't afford my own chef right now."
"Well, he he. This place is so cozy, it's really hard for me to imagine myself anywhere else."
"Don't you want to beat the allegations?"
"You mean me being in a harem? It doesn't really bother me."
"Okay, it does, but not enough to warrant moving out."
Pinky frowned at Uravity's weird insistence.
"I challenge you to a duel, Ochako Uraraka! For the right to be…"
"Mina, please, stop." Izuku pulled her away from the brunette. "You were right, I wasn't fair with you. I'll start preparing a room for you."
"Sweet! *Kiss*"
"Are your Mom and Dad…"
"Of course they agreed."
Alien Queen: Midori has finally let me move to his house! You want to join?
Fist of Justice: No, thanks. I like to heave some time away from him and Yaomomo. What's the occasion BTW?
Alien Queen: He let Tooru's mom and that girl from I-Island in, so I pressured him to let me join as well. The girl apparently wants to be a friend, if you catch my drift.
Fist of Justice: Bruh, next thing you know he'll bust that crazy blonde out of prison so she can suck him dry every morning.
Alien Queen: Are you jealous?
Fist of Justice: No, I'm rather disturbed. Is there a limit to how many girls he wants?
Alien Queen: Probably not. Well, since he is spreading himself thin, I'll probably find someone on the side like you did, Red.
Fist of Justice: Momo isn't a side piece, Pink. I love her as much as I do Izuku. I also hate them about equally.
Alien Queen: Hate?
Fist of Justice: Ok, hate is a wrong word. I simply find some of their personality traits irritating.
Alien Queen: Will you elaborate further?
Fist of Justice: Negative.
Alien Queen: Fine. Do you think Kiri and Tetsu from your class are dating anyone?
Fist of Justice: No, I bet they undoubtedly are in love with dumbbells.
Alien Queen: 3000 yen say I can wrap them both around my finger in two weeks.
Fist of Justice: Why would I accept a wager where I have zero ability to affect the outcome?
Alien Queen: Because it's fun!
Fist of Justice: Ok, ok. It's not like I have to care about money anymore.
"Pumpkin, at this rate we'll have to move to a bigger house." Mama Midoriya approached her child.
"I'd rather not. I am so used to living here."
"Once you decide to have kids with one of the girls, or if you accept a few more residents, we'll run out of rooms."
"True. Try to look up something close to All Might's agency, please. We can pay from his money."
Inko nodded in response.
"What's going with his agency? He can't exactly run it from Heaven."
"The crew is keeping it operational, but it doesn't do anything right now. Once I become a hero and take over it'll be running at full capacity again."
"Izuku, why do you think you are one of his inheritors? I've heard rumors than you are his secret love child. Preposterous! I've never even met that hero personally."
"You did. Remember Yagi Toshinori from the birthday party? That was HIM"
"Oh, that's unexpected."
"His health was declining, so he looked like a skeleton when not on a job. As for your question, he didn't have children and he liked me a lot. That's it, really."
"Got it. Do you think Miss Shield…"
"No! Her father is David Shield, the guy I had to save back at I-Island."
Two mothers were discussing their children in the kitchen.
"Tooru has always been submissive and somewhat shameless. The first part is on me but I don't really get the second one. Perhaps buying those Midnight action figures was a mistake. *Sigh*"
"My Izuku isn't an angel either, if I'm being honest. He is greedy when it comes to girls."
"Do you know who he takes after in this regard?"
"His imaginary friends, most likely. Or the hero who introduced him to Nezu. Or both."
"No, I don't."
"Have you tried talking to him about it?"
"Try talking down a serial killer and a delusional vampire."
"I did, but he always shrugged it off. I suppose it's not that big of a deal given his heroic aspirations."
"I guess it's not that bad if they both enjoy it. Although, that tattoo seems like overkill."
"What tattoo? Actually, don't tell me. I might die from embarrassment."
Izuku, Tooru and Mina were dressed in their pajamas. They entered the room the grab their midnight snacks.
"We are going to sleep in my room today." Green haired boy said as he audibly slapped Tooru's butt. The elder Hagakure gulped and looked away.
"Sure, pumpkin. Just don't make too much noise." Inko laughed nervously.
As the three teenagers left, the two women continued their conversation.
"I thought you were going to say something to him, Hagakure-san."
"Call me Kuria. I… I don't think I have the right to go against him, not after everything he's done for me and my family."
Melissa and Ochako were discussing something. The blonde saw the trio and got a bit embarrassed over how open there are about their relationship. Mina tried luring her in, but she insisted on doing things slowly. They locked themselves up in Izuku's room and soon there were the moans.
"Sleeping must be hard when they are so loud."
"You get used to it." Brunette shrugged.
"I'm surprised that you live here without being his girlfriend. I assumed…"
"Everyone assumes that, trust me."
The next day Izuku showed his painting collection to the others.
"Wow, Izuku. These are great! I didn't know you were so good at this." Melissa gasped.
"Could you make a portrait of me, please?" Invisible woman asked. "I can put on makeup to make my face features distinguishable."
"Actually, that's not necessary." Izuku put away his hair (ignoring giggles at his small face) and projected Epitaph's prediction on the wall. The vague outlines of Kuria'a face could be seen gasping.
"*Gasp* Incredible. I've heard of quirks that can detect invisible folks through sounds or heat, but this is something else."
"I'll make a painting with the help of my quirk."
"Me too!" Blonde raised her hand.
"Why didn't you tell me about this earlier, Izuku?" Tooru wondered.
"Honestly, I forgot this was a feature. I just never had to use King Crimson when you were close and invisible."
"You should have remembered earlier. I know how we can apply this ability together." The girl made a devious smile despite her mother being in the same room.
