This chapter is mostly talking. But I hope you like it anyway.

The day had come when I was going with Nathan and Qwyn to their first kind of job. Help cleaning out in Philippa Murphy's apartment, an old lady who lived half a block away from myself, living with no human but herself. But there was obviously someone else and already by the time we went into the stairwell we could all three hear a dog barking from inside a flat. And when I pressed the doorbell too that barking turned louder while I also heard paws with claws against the floor.

"Take it easy Diamond." We heard a voice from inside as it come closer. "Come here then." There was a click on the door when it unlocked and then opened to an old lady holding onto a small, white dog that kept barking. "It's okay Diamond. We can hear they're coming. They look quite harmless. Come in, come in. I'm Philippa and this loud one is Diamond."

"I'm Emma. And this is Nathan and Qwyn."

"Oh wow!" Philippa shook her head and looked from one to the other several times. I could almost smell what was coming but the thing was I was so used to telling them apart now I hadn't thought about. "How am I supposed to ever learn how to keep you two apart?"

"I was wondering that at first too." I told her with a reassuring smile. "But it's easy. You just have to look at the shirts they're wearing. Like today- Nathan is wearing one with a print from Guardians of the galaxy or Big Bang theory. And Qwyn is the one wearing the one with Star Wars, Harry Potter or sports' teams."

Philippa leaned her head to the side as if she was thinking deeply and then smiled brighter.

"I know those, TV-series, books and movies are what my grandkids' lives are about. If I tell Max that I met someone who liked Star Wars and would be able to ask some question about it he'd be so happy… So is there anything you'd like to tell me about that."

The answer would be yes of course. Both of the boys could talk about their obsessions for hours if anyone let them.

"Star Wars is simple. Anakin turns into Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker is his son. That's all you really need to know."

"Max will be over the moon, nana can finally say something about his favorite thing on earth. I could need some series and movies to watch… Is there some reason why I should start with a certain movie or series? What do you say? I can see you have your favorite… series on the print of your hoodie." Today, Nathan was wearing a hoodie with a big Guardians of the Galaxy-print.

"You could probably start with this." Nathan gestured towards the print. "This isn't one of those cliché TV shows. So many of the other TV-shows are practically the same… Now, didn't we come here to do some cleaning or packing? Or should we spend this time talking about movies and series?"

"What about you?" Philippa asked turned to me. "Is there any series or movie you like?"

"Mostly Holby City… And if you want to watch that one. You'll have something to do for a while because the episodes are long and there are more than a thousand in total… But Nathan's right. We came here to help you clean and pack. And we might not want to sit here and talk and then we'll have to stress everything at the end. So…" I looked around: "What do you want done? Because this place looks spotless to me."

It really did look spotless! There couldn't be a dust rat in the wrong place. So if Philippa would expect me to see what had to be done she would really have to point it out.

"I like keeping it like this… But all of you are right… I… I… I think I'll have to wish for some bags for Christmas. Smaller bags so that I can move all my little things from this flat to my new one without breaking anything. Because as you can see I have a lot of small things- I'm a grandmother after all."

"I really like this part." Nathan said and walked closer to some shelves that seemed to have some children's made things. "But they're a bit of everywhere… these photos? Is this your family?" Qwyn had gotten up too and looked around on all framed photos that hung around the whole room. "Your sons? And husband?"

"Yes. That's my husband Kenny. He passed away about six months ago and ever since then this place seems so big. Way too big for only me."

"Oh… I'm so sorry."

"Don't be dear. I am lucky to have ever gotten to know him beyond what any words can tell. We had a long life together, two sons- Lavernius and Roderick. And they now have children of their own, Lavernius has got twins, I can't tell them apart either. But their names are Maximus and Braxton. And Brody… We call him that despite there's not a B in his name. It was just shorter and easier to remember. But as for children he's got our granddaughter Ashley. The boys are only eight. But as for Ashley. Maybe you would like her, Qwyn." She blinked meaningly at him in that way that could only mean one thing- she was out searching special partners for her grandchildren.

"Sorry Philippa. I'm gay… And Nathan's in love with one of the girls in our home. He'll be together with her the same second we've moved out."

The answer that came from the fact Nathan had gone bright red in the face was perfectly enough.

"Oh well." She was still smirking. "One can never have too many friends. I hope you'll get the chance to meet them all… soon! For Christmas maybe. They all live quite the far bit away from here. That's one of the reasons I'll be moving. To live closer to them. I've lived here for almost fifty years. I and Kenny moved here when we had just gotten married and these houses were newly built. I think we had some idea that when we had children we'd move somewhere bigger but… no." She looked around the room, tears glittering in her eyes. "The boys grew up here. Their friends lived around the neighborhood. There was nothing we could have wanted that we didn't have here. But now. Yeah, it's just too big for one person and the boys don't have any interest of moving back in with their mum at their age… And it's just… It's just so empty… I'm happy you three are here to help me. I always knew that I'd need some strong guys to help me carry things… But I guess planning would be the first…. And then, I also promised that I won't make anyone leave this place hungry. I already made a pie with chicken and mushroom, some people- like all of my grandchildren can't stand mushroom. But they still beg me to make it every time they come here. So I figured that could be the best when I had guests, at least before I knew you well and more about what you like and not… So is there any food in certain you do like or not?"

Nathan and Qwyn exchanged a weird glance, maybe they were just wondering about why Philippa- or anyone would ask about food like that. But she was a grandmother after all…

"I like pizza." Qwyn answered. "And chocolate… My brother here doesn't like chocolate… but I think that's about it. We eat just about anything and everything if you put it in front of us and call it food."

"I'll let you taste all of my favorites to make then."

"Shouldn't we actually get started?" I suddenly heard myself ask. "We were here to clean and pack right? But so far we have only been sitting here." Philippa leaned back where she sat, only thing that seemed to matter to her right now was Diamond's soft fur where she laid curled up and sighing in well-being in that way only a dog could. "Well, you can give these two- and myself some orders."

"I was actually thinking we spend today mostly getting to know each other like we are before I let you guys get into touching my things… I'm sorry. But when I heard you guys were in care…" She turned bright red and I saw Nathan and Qwyn exchange looks again. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Qwyn said, a bit too dryly. "We get it… but the thing is. There was something… wrong with our dad… not with us."

Maybe, someone who didn't know as much as these twins' past as I did would have scolded him for sounding so rude. But the thing was he was right, and I couldn't blame him in the slightest after what Mark Lord had done to his daughters.

"Of course." Philippa shook her head slightly. "It always breaks my heart when terrible things happens to children… I keep wondering something with you two in front of me. I've been wondering, do you guys have any other sisters or brothers?"

"We have two little sisters." Nathan said, but I could almost see the way it tied a knot in his throat. "Emily's twelve, Minnie's eight."

"Do they live back at Elm Tree House with you?"

"Yes- yes…"

Nathan was answering, but I could hear the way his voice shook.

There was so much… And Qwyn had started twisting where he sat as if he was getting tired of keeping still or…

"I really need to use the bathroom…. I guess it's… where is it?"

Maybe he just needed that to get away from all of the talking before it became so deeply. And when he got up, so did Philippa and said something about putting the oven on before she disappeared in the other direction…

Nathan was tired already I could tell. Despite that he was trying to cover it, both towards me and when Qwyn and Philippa came back and Qwyn started looking around on the more he could see from sitting in a living room chair.

"Maybe we can take a look around? I promise I won't steal anything. But we could need to look around. A lot of things will have to be moved and we don't want anything to break. It could also be a good thing if we move a whole lot of things before we start cleaning."

Nathan got up from where he had been sitting, and the same did Diamond who had been lying by her mummy getting scratched. Qwyn joined us again and we moved around the flat, two bedrooms- one that Philippa had always shared with her husband of course. And one which the brothers had always shared.

Both the twins looked around, and seemed to get every sight they could. But as we moved further, through the kitchen and the bathroom and all of those shelves with books and grandmother's things Nathan had a weird look on his face that I couldn't help but notice. But I couldn't figure until he finally spoke until the nice smell of a pie started filling the air and we were all joining her in dinner.

Even though he usually was the most deep- thinking one of these two I couldn't help but notice the look on his face while he sat down by the dinner table.

I just couldn't help but wonder about it, and had a feeling it was something important.

"Hey. Q?"

"What?"

"You know how we were talking about moving away from the dumping ground this winter, right after our birthday?"

"Yes?"

Nathan didn't answer for a long while, several minutes in fact while all four of us were eating the delicious pie. And it seemed he had forgotten that Qwyn had asked him a question when he finally answered.

"Well… This flat looks quite alright if you ask me… We could put up some curtain or curtains in the bedroom so it would still be like having each one. And the thing is… well, no matter if we want to see it or not. We probably couldn't afford anything bigger with two bedrooms anyway. We do have to start somewhere and then we could start with a flat that we already do know. We're even… sort of walking distance from Elm Tree House and our sister…"

"Can you shut up and let me answer?"

Nathan hit his jaws so hard together when he silent I could almost hear his teeth shattering towards each other, meanwhile Qwyn had sort of frowned and I felt myself doing the same. I'd probably have to talk to Mike about this!

"What do you think about that?" The twins had been talking to each other too qietly for me to hear what they said. "If you moved out of here, maybe I and Qwyn could move in right away… I promise we'd make the best of tenants."

"I'm sure you would boys. And I have to check with the landlord. But as long as you keep it clean and pay your bills properly I couldn't see a problem. After all, he would know who came to live here… I don't know though. Maybe he's got some other plans. When is your birthday?"

"New Year's Eve… There's no rush. We can live at the dumping ground as long as we need to and you can live here for as long as you need. And then… While we help you move your things out we can also move our things in. That way we won't have too much to move when the actual moving day comes."

"Have you been wondering about this?" I asked. "Maybe you had the idea already before."

"About five minutes since I came up with it… But you have to agree Emma. This would be a nice place."

"Of course then." Qwyn said with a snort and sort of dry tone in his voice. "We might not want to tell him or her that we're coming from living in care. That doesn't matter for us of course…" He sighed. "There's just so much. I want to concentrate on here, now and the future rather than the past."

"Well said brother."

These two had such strange things to say to each other. From all the years it had been only them two I'd guess.

"If you want." Philippa started. "You could bring your sisters the next time you come here. Diamond loves kids and if anyone, I think they should have a say in the matter… Maybe, a few months from now you will be the ones having photos hanging on the walls all around here… Can I see a photo? I want to see what they look like."

"Here" Nathan had riffled in his phone for a bit and showed Philippa a picture. "Emily- the one in the middle as a bit older than that now. And we haven't met him for a long time but I guess dad a bit greyer… I'm sorry. We don't usually talk about our whole family at the first time we meet someone like this."

"Don't say you're sorry dear. I've been asking questions left and right ever since you came here. So you haven't exactly have much choice. I don't know what I should think about your parents. But I'd like to meet your sisters too if you'd like to bring them with you- soon."

Then I thought about it for a second while I felt my heart breaking into pieces. There had been mentions of Emily and her name of course. But what about Minnie? Their youngest sister? It hadn't even been more than a few months since they found out…

Nathan suddenly yawned. There had been a lot of new impressions today.

"I won't be here and talk your ears off. You've been around seeing so many new impressions. You've been so nice to me. How about you come here Mondays and Saturdays as we go? For a couple of weeks, until Christmas. And then we'll see what happens… Now… Are those two days good? Monday like today, and a day during the weekend?"

There was some agreeing from the boys who had seemed to make plans when, or if they could move into this place…

"Are you hungry more before you go?"

I knew that I was stuffed, it seemed the boys were too despite only about half of the pie being left.

"That was really nice Philippa." Qwyn answered. "I might or might not ever be hungry would be very nice if we had at least one each of those lunch boxes. So we could bring food with us whenever we leave, we'll have more and we can share with our sister. I remember when we were younger I had a very nice one with Donald Duck, and Nate had one with Winnie the Poh. Or maybe that would be too rude of us to just grab more food like that."

"I keep on making too much food, ending up throwing so much away. So something like that would Especially if it could be shared with more."

Well, there was the idea of what I should give the boys for Christmas!

But it couldn't be as simple as it seemed like right now and I knew it.

Random fact

Both the lines from Nathan and Qwyn's forms are in this chapter. I know nothing about neither Guardians of the galaxy nor Star Wars.
