A/N: Thank you all so much for supporting my fanfic! The amount of favorites, follows, and reviews were really overwhelming (in a good way) and I really hope I can continue writing material that you would enjoy hehe.

I currently have online classes right now, though I'm happy learning isn't synchronous so it's easy to adapt it to my night owl habits hehe. Also, I've been trying to learn Mandarin because I'm part Chinese and I always felt bad that I never got to learn the language but I'm also so confused with the pronunciations LMAO HELP

Ok, so here's the next chapter. Please note that the chapters in this fanfic probably won't always follow a linear timeline. Sometimes, we'll have chapters like these that go back in time. (AND ALSO PLEASE NOTE: Xanxus rescuing Adrianna from the Dursleys occurred not long after the Arcobaleno curse was broken, so Tsuna and his Guardians are 15/16 when Adi was 1, while the Varia members were in their 20s, 17 for Belphegor, and idk how old Fran is actually, so I'll assume he was still like a kid maybe around 7 or 8? So since he's the closest to Adi's age — in this chapter she's 5 so Fran's like 12 or 13 by now — but responsible enough to be entrusted with Adi-sitting duty)

Hope you enjoy the chapter!

The Varia's first incident with magic occurred when Adrianna was five years old. Normally, she was a well-behaved child, but on that particular day, she decided to be stubborn with Fran.

"Mr. Whiskers won't get wet. I promise!"

"Mr. Whiskers will get wet and you will regret it after."

Adrianna sent a petulant glare at Fran as she looked at the aforementioned Mr. Whiskers, who was held in Fran's left hand, making sure that Mr. Whiskers was out of her reach. Mr. Whiskers was a hamster stuffed toy Levi had gotten for her as a present from when he had a mission in Switzerland, and she simply adored the toy, to the point that she wanted to have a bubble bath with it.

And there was the problem.

"I won't reg-gre-t it, Fran!" Adrianna pouted. "I can keep him dry!"

"Adi, you're going to have a bubble bath. This isn't your first time having a bubble bath. Surely, you'd know bubble baths are never dry?" Fran drawled. "Now, let go of my leg and you can have your bath."

"NO!"

And Fran blinked as suddenly, the toy whooshed towards Adrianna's outstretched hand. The girl didn't seem to be surprised by the display, though, as she huffed before stomping over to the bathroom and locking the door behind her.

"...huh."

"That must have been her accidental magic," Mammon explained when Fran went to them regarding the situation. It was only 4:15 in the afternoon, so Adrianna was still playing in the bath tub. That gave Fran plenty of time to update the other Varia members — well, the ones in the headquarters, at least. Xanxus and Bel were out for diplomatic matters, while Levi and Lussuria were on a mission. The only ones present were Mammon and Squalo. — on what had happened earlier.

"You explained that before, voi," Squalo thought out loud. "That part about kids throwing shitty tantrums and fucking with people without meaning to."

"In a nutshell," Mammon conceded, "but you say she wasn't surprised?"

Fran nodded. "She looked pretty satisfied with what happened, to be honest."

"Could she have performed accidental magic before? How did we not notice, if that was the case?" Mammon hummed. "We'll need to ask her after her bath."

"Is it possible for a witch or wizard to control their magic without the usual conduit?" Fran wondered.

Mammon nodded. "Yes. That's what we'd call wandless magic, although very, very few are able to do such a thing actively. I'd estimate it to be about one to two-point-four percent of the magical population. Around sixteen or seventeen percent could use it sparingly, though."

"Voi, so the brat could possibly be using her magic without a wand?"

"It's a possibility. We'll have to talk to her later."

After a few seconds of contemplative silence from Mammon and Squalo, who were considering all the scenarios they could think of regarding Adrianna's magic, Fran decided to off-handedly comment, "She really should change her hamster's name though. Who names their hamster 'Mr. Whiskers'? Lame."

.

.

The three Varia adults stared in surprise as a rather grumpy looking Adrianna sat on the couch, hair still damp from her bath. In her arms was a dry Mr. Whiskers.

"I told you I could keep him dry," she said with a frown as she hugged Mr. Whiskers.

Fran shrugged, shoving a potato chip in his mouth as he lounged on the seat across her. Beside him, Mammon asked, "How long have you been able to keep Mr. Whiskers dry, Adi?"

"I dunno," she shrugged. "Since April?"

"And you've always been able to summon him to you?"

"What's sum-mon?"

"To bring him to your hands. Like when Fran was keeping him away from you."

"Oh. Yeah. Like when I'm lazy and he's sitting on the chair, I sum-mon him to me."

"Do you feel tired after?"

"Mm, just the first time."

"Wandless fucking magic," Squalo announced the three Varia members' thoughts out loud as he stared at the child in front of him in amazement. "Of course the shitty Boss' kid would be even more special."

"It might be a result of the blood adoption," Mammon said. "The Potters never had a record of any member being able to do so. At least, not from the papers in Adi's vault. The Evans side of the family would be even more impossible, unless this was the effect of introducing newer blood to the Potter Line?"

"However," Mammon continued, looking at Adrianna, "the next time you want to use your magic, make sure to tell one of us first or have one of us with you when you use it. Using it too much could deplete your energy and you might just fall over. Got that, Adi?"

"Yes, Mammy~ May I go back to my room now?" Adrianna interjected as she rested her chin on Mr. Whiskers, who was eight inches tall.

"I'll take you," Fran sighed, as he was on Adrianna-sitting duty today. Adrianna sent him a suspicious look as she held Mr. Whiskers away from him, but she nodded and let him walk her back to her room.

"So the brat has wandless magic," Xanxus smirked, clearly pleased, before taking a swig from a tequila bottle. "Will she need any magical shit for that? Tutors? Books?"

"I'll go to Gringotts and ask if Adi can access her parents' vaults. I know she'll be able to do so once she's thirteen, but trying now won't hurt," Mammon said as they floated over to the table, which contained a plate of cookies Lussuria had baked once they got home, stating that they were just craving for these. "As for tutors, she'll definitely need one, though I'd have to look in to that kind of information first. While the magical world might boast of a Light person doing wandless magic, I haven't heard anything about that. The Dark families would have some information on that."

"Shishishi, it's good the little principessa has tutors for regular subjects. It's only fitting for royalty to receive the best education they can possibly receive," Bel added as he too took a cookie from a plate and happily munched on it. "Will French be added there now?"

"We'll get a Rain fucker to do that," Xanxus agreed.

Adrianna's formal education began when she was three. It started when she bumped into two members from the Lightning division — Of course, everyone in Varia was made aware of Adrianna's presence, and that they would dead meat if they even thought of harming her. The Varia members found her adorable, though, and even the more mentally disturbed ones didn't have it in them to hurt her. — and that apparently started an impromptu arithmetic lesson when she saw them carrying a sack of potatoes.

Apparently, one of the members she bumped into had three younger siblings at home, and she found the green-eyed child so adorable that she wanted to spend her free time teaching the kid how to count the potatoes. And then Squalo found out so Xanxus found out and Xanxus decided to just hire the woman as a Math tutor for Adrianna — this, of course, increased the commissions she would usually get from hits, and this was after making sure she would be qualified for the position. And, who knew? The woman had a degree in mechanical engineering at one of Italy's top universities.

This prompted Xanxus and Squalo to review the data of the Varia underlings once more, and they managed to get a Language tutor from the Storm Division and a Science tutor from Sun.

Lussuria had squealed when they found out and hurriedly scoured the Internet for QUA-LI-TAY~ homeschool lesson plans for Adrianna, which they handed to the tutors for more reference on how they'd plan for the sessions to go.

Of course, as the daughter of the Varia boss, everyone agreed she'd have to know at least three languages, and since English and Italian already came so easily to her — the Varia Guardians were prone another to switching between English and Italian with her and she somehow picked these up quite well — another European language would be on the list.

And Bel seemed to have made the choice already.

"Ooh~ she should have a pen pal!" Lussuria suggested as they looked at Xanxus with excited eyes. "Think about it, Boss! I mean, what better way to learn French than to communicate with a French speaker? Besides, it's not as if we'll all remember to speak French with Adi. Italian and English just come more naturally to us."

"Huh. Have any French contacts you trust, Arcobaleno trash?"

"The family of a distant cousin," Mammon hummed, wiping the cookie crumbs from the end of their lips gently. "I haven't spoken to Alexandre in a while. He might be of help, though. He's a wizard, after all."

"Think he might be willing to teach the kid how to control her magic?" Squalo narrowed has eyes in thought.

"We'll see."

Fleur Delacour frowned as her father, Alexandre Delacour, looked at her with expectant eyes. Why would she write a letter to a girl years younger than her?

Alexandre sighed as he stared at his daughter. "Fleur, you've always resented other girls, but I have a feeling the Vongola girl will be different."

She understood where her father was coming from. She really did.

Years ago, her parents had introduced her to other magical kids from the families of acquaintances to the Delacours, and the hopeful little girl was excited to have friends. The girls seemed to be easy to talk to, and soon, they were all gushing about that recent princess movie that had been released. Everything seemed to be going well for her, and then the boys came.

She had been warned by her mother before that boys would act weird around her because of her heritage — although her mother never fully explained why and how, just that she had to be wary around boys. And on that day, she found her answer.

Some of her new female friends had been slightly flustered when the boys came, giggling softly to each other as the boys came closer, but the giggles turned into surprised looks when the boys stopped in their tracks and seemed to just stare at Fleur. The girls were jealous that Fleur seemed to hold all the attention, so they moved away from Fleur, who was becoming really uncomfortable by the boys' staring.

Upset, she ran towards her mother, who pulled her aside to finally explain her Veela heritage to her.

That day was the beginning of Fleur's realization that she would probably never have a normal friendship with females, and she couldn't be friends with males, either, because none of the boys her age could seem to hold a conversation with her before the Veela in her rendered them speechless.

The girls may have thought Fleur was someone to be envied because of the attention, but if only they knew, really…

"You have doubts, I understand," Alexandre said as he placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, "but you'll only be communicating through letters. You won't need to see each other face-to-face. This is simply for her to practice her French, and an opportunity for you to practice your English. Do think about it, yes?"

To: Adrianna Vongola

Hello. My name is Fleur Delacour, daughter of Alexandre Delacour and Apolline Delacour. I am eight years old.

Papa told me he was cousins with Mammon, your guardian? I will be blunt. I did not want to write to you at first, but I decided to write anyways.

I do not know what to say. This is my first time writing a letter to another girl. It is strange. First, I have blonde hair and blue eyes. I like eating croissants and bouillabaisse. I like horseback riding and my little sister, Gabrielle. She is one.

You are practicing your French, yes? I don't mind a mix of French and English from you either.

"A pen pal?" Adrianna tilted her head to the side curiously as she closed her workbook on French.

"Yes. You'll be exchanging letters with someone from France. She's the daughter of my distant cousin," Mammon replied.

"But what do I talk about?" Adrianna frowned as she hugged Mr. Whiskers, who she decided would accompany her to today's lessons. "I can't talk about the Mafia, right? 'Cos Papa would be mad. And because of omerta?"

"Well, yes," Mammon nodded, "but you can talk to her about things that don't concern the Mafia. She's magical, too, after all. So you can talk to her about your accidental magic, if you'd like. Or any subject that may interest you."

"Hmm, what do you think, Mr. Whiskers?" Adrianna asked her stuffed toy, looking as if she was having a telepathic conversation with it before she nodded. "Mr. Whiskers thinks it's a good idea!"

"Then here's the first letter from Fleur," Mammon said as he handed her a scented envelope. "The letter arrived this morning. I informed her father about the pen pal business beforehand and Fleur seems to have agreed to it, given that she took the first step in sending a letter."

"You can take a break from your workbook and try to read the letter first," Mammon continued before floating over to sit on a stack of books.

To: Fleur Delacour

Hi! My name is Adrianna di Vongola, daughter of Xanxus di Vongola! I am five years old.

Why didn't you wanna write to me? I'm just curious… but same! This is my first time talking to another girl, too! Almost everyone here is male, and there's no female close to my age, so I guess it's strange, too, but it's nice to have a friend, right?

I have black hair and green eyes. I love sorella's cookies and the desserts Bel-fratello or Zio Levi sometimes bring home. I like everyone here because they're all nice to me and it feels like one big family! So even if Papa's away, there's always someone to play with!

And yeah! I'm practicing my French. Are you practicing English, too? Let's practice together! c:

Mammy told me you were magical, too. I don't really remember when I first did accidental magic, but a few days ago, I got my stuffed toy, Mr. Whiskers, from Fran cos he was being mean and he didn't want me to play with Mr. Whiskers in the bath. But I got him back!

It was pretty cool.

Do you have any stories about your accidental magic?

Bonus

Fran sighed as Adrianna still had that suspicious look her in eyes every time he walked past her when she was with Mr. Whiskers. Apparently, she still wasn't over the fact that he tried to keep Mr. Whiskers away from her — how the fuck was he supposed to know she could keep Mr. Whiskers dry with her magic? She never even told them she could do so! — and Lussuria and Levi had hounded him about that.

So, taking their advice, he bought a white sea lion stuffed toy from Germany and handed it to her.

"Why?" she asked him with narrowed eyes.

"Mr. Whiskers won't need a bath as frequently as this little guy would," Fran said as he gestured to the sea lion, "so you can have someone else keep you company on other days. Besides, Mr. Whiskers is probably lonely since he's your only stuffed toy. He'll want a... friend."

After staring at him for a good fifteen seconds, Adrianna grinned and thanked him with a hug as she introduced Mr. Whiskers to the newly named Rice Ball.

A/N: So that's the end of the chapter! Hope y'all are staying safe :c

OK ALSO, the Harry Potter fandom wiki said that Fleur was born sometime in 1977, making her three years older than Harriet. For this chapter, Fleur is 8, Harriet is 5, Gabrielle is 1 (as she was born around 1985-86 so I'll make it '85 for this story).

So, as a general reply to all the lovely reviews I've gotten from you all:

So far, more people have preferred the Arcobaleno (like JUST the Arcobaleno) as her Guardians, though it's still a close call with the option to have Guardians from both Arcobaleno and Hogwarts people, so I'll just think about it some more. As for the pairings, Reborn is currently leading with 8 votes, then Fon with 4, and then Colonello and then Skull. I most likely won't consider any of Tsuna's Guardians. Y'all got a point in me considering Colonello as the pairing, though. I don't remember seeing such a pairing before tbh or if I have there might not have been a lot of it, so yeah, I'll consider him.

I've also gotten some comments asking me to not go the generic route in terms of Guardians, which I completely understand, so I thought, why not a Delacour? From the stories I've read in the KHR-HP crossover fandom, the Guardians have commonly been the Weasley twins, Blaise, some Slytherins, Neville, Luna, and the like. I might still get one or two of those people, but I will try my best to use characters that haven't been used a lot. Also, uhhh, please tell me if Fleur's letter was realistic? Like, with an eight year old struggling to write in English as a second language and all… (Tho if Fleur's generic please do tell me bec I really don't remember seeing her as a Guardian in fics)

(ALSO, saying it right now tho but I WON'T be considering Ron and Hermione as Guardians, like I loved Hermione fourth year onwards but before that she kinda rubbed me the wrong way, but I'd still prefer her over Ron, like seriously, Harry, he's turned his back on u so many times bro wyd)

(OH AND thanks for the heads up that Adi could have a more complex POV i honestly just based it off of how my cousin spoke when he was 7 AHAHA)

And I'd just like to thank the following people for reviewing the first chapter of Little Sky uwu: crystalputri, foxchick1, mich1990, ragnarshadow, Kourtney Uzu Yato, Fire Dolphin, Mep101, Hetalian Fairy 243, Beloved Daughter, Hikari Nova, Marina-Elise, Irish . lee, Rajani-the-Freak, shadewatcher, Miyu Kokomi, Okamishiru, CAD270895, JDS62, Guest (Apr 13), Guest (Apr 13), nat, Guest (Apr 14), Guest (Apr 14), shiria otoyami itsome, Guest (Apr 14), Not Rob, edwardilovebella, Guest (Apr 14), Viktria, Guest (Apr 14), n1ghtdr34m3r, MitliCrBre, Dragon Queen001, Krxso, ForeverTwistedLove8814, LB, BhaellaRose, Mari Wollsch, Lil Hatchet Da Lette, Elfin69, xXxOtAkU-444xXx, eliZRyuu, Alirrae, AysaWolf, Animeloverforever1127, karla30alicia, canis lupus familiaris, lara . niric, Guest (Apr 29), TashaLee2476, Shikaru Hibari, grule92, EatsBooks, zero fullbuster, Black Dragoniss, Lunary, Valen Goncalvez, silvery crimson moon, ShadowPhoenix34, Tahere-Ravenword, and Lyryenn!
