9/7/2656- Batarians Unveils Its New Warship Class

"Today, Batarian State Arms unveiled its new Bar'tracric class modular cruiser to the galaxy, claiming it as an unprecedented advancement in warship design. The main hull of the class is only a 450 meter long skeletal frame, with its rear section, containing the engines, reactor and engineering, and its core section, containing crew facilities, sensors, communication equipment, and the bridge, divided by a 250 meter long section consisting of only the ships spine brackets on two sides with empty areas designed to hold what Batarian State Arms calls operation module, 10 in total. These modules are meant to allow for far greater versatility within a single ship class, loaded with combat modules the class becomes a fearsome cruiser, with cargo modules it becomes a resupply ship, with a partial load of combat module making it a cheap yet powerful patrol ship/raider, and several other examples given by the Batarian State Arms representative. Several military analysts have expressed concern over its lack of axial weaponry, which limits the class's long range capabilities, alongside its weak construction. The BSA representative has stated that the class will not be sold openly, at least not immediately, but the option for purchase will become available to a number of Hegemony approved groups in the months to come.
