"Today, a small Vernali Republic task force, consisting of a diplomatic ship escorted by two light cruisers, arrived in the system where contact was made with a lost asari colony three days ago. The Vernali Republic has, as of a press conference two hours ago, taken over communications with the lost asari colony, stating that its proximity to the area of contact makes the situation of specific interest to them, and they should take all responsibility for the situation. This move has been opposed by several Republics and non-asari groups, but has been backed by the Armali Republic and several others. No information about the lost colony has been given to the public, but the vernali Republic has pledged to release some information within the next three days."
