Episode 323: The Temple of the Sea Part 2
Well, here is the second but last chapter to the Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea arc, so before we begin, I thought I'd share that I have made a few changes than that of the main movie, suggested to me by Neo-Warkid4. Anyway, enjoy!
Last time, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Wes, Rui, Michael, Max, Lisia, Zinnia, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, Marill, and Aster have come along a family owned circus that has the usage of Water-type Pokémon called the Marina Underwater Pokémon Show. They were being given a lift to Ever Grande City to be just in time for the Hoenn Pokémon League. May then had a dream of a mysterious Pokémon called Manaphy and about the Sea Temple, also known as Samiya, and it was there that they learned about the People of the Water and about Manaphy. May was told that she is descended from the People of the Water. But there were a couple of attempts on the egg when three criminals had their bodies switched and a pirate crew in pursuit of Manaphy led by a ruthless pirate captain calling himself Phantom, and then they've met a Pokémon Ranger named Jack "Jackie" Walker. Three weeks prior, Jackie infiltrated Phantom's crew and took off with Manaphy's egg in an effort to keep out of Phantom's hands. During the struggle to keep Manaphy's egg safe, the egg hatched in May's hands and the Seafaring Pokémon has imprinted May is its mother since she was the first thing she has seen. And it wasn't long until they figured Manaphy prefers May over anyone else, just as it wasn't long until Phantom and his crew were catching up with the trailer. Forced to abandon the trailer, they made their escape through some ancient ruins by a canal, leaving Phantom with no means of pursuing them any further, but that wouldn't stop him. After escaping, the group sees the murals, telling about the legend of Samiya and the Sea Crown. Just when Lizabeth, her family, and Jackie have departed from the group, Manaphy refused to be separated from May, so it switched Sora and Jackie's bodies. And now, we carry on.
The Blue Lagoon turned around and picked up the group and allowed them to board it. And then, Sora and Jackie switched back their bodies.
"Hey, I'm back to normal! Was that Manaphy's special power?" Sora asked.
"Yes. It's a move called Heart Swap. In order for Manaphy to avoid danger, it switches bodies from one being to another. In fact, that's what happened to those three men who attempted the theft," Jackie explained.
"I think I heard of Heart Swap. It's a Psychic-type move. When in a battle, it switches stats with its opponents. Manaphy is the only Pokémon that's capable of learning it," Terra said.
"Exactly right, Terra. I don't even wanna think about how bad it would have been if you were too far away from Manaphy," Shep said.
"Wow, amazing," Max said.
"Sure is," Rui agreed.
"Manaphy has been known as the Prince of the Sea," Lizabeth said.
"The Prince of the Sea?" Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Wes, Rui, Michael, Max, Lisia, Zinnia, and Rei asked in unison.
"That's what Manaphy," Shep said.
"Say, Manaphy, you didn't want me to leave? Is that why you switched Sora and Jackie?" May asked.
"Mana," Manaphy said.
"You make me so happy," May said.
"Happy! Happy!" Manaphy chirped. May was surprised by what she heard.
"Manaphy, you can talk!" May exclaimed.
"Really?" Brendan asked.
"I heard it, too!" Ventus said.
"So did I!" Lisia said.
"Me too!" Zinnia said.
"Whismur," Aster said.
"It can't be!" Karen said.
"But it is. Say happy," May said.
"Happy! Happy!" Manaphy repeated.
"See? Manaphy is saying what I'm saying!" May said.
"Well, I remember the first thing that Lizabeth said was 'foo-foo'," Meredith said.
"That means 'food', right?" Lizabeth asked.
"Uh-huh," Meredith answered.
"You sure love to eat," Shep said.
"What?!" Lizabeth exclaimed as Meredith laughed.
"Say 'Brendan', Manaphy," Brendan said.
"Say 'Max'," Max said.
"Mana," Manaphy said.
"That definitely didn't sound like Max," Michael said.
"So much for that idea," Brendan said.
"What idea was that?" Ethan asked.
"I thought maybe Manaphy knew more words like maybe people's names," Brendan said.
"Well, it was a good idea, I'll give you that," Ash said.
Jackie looked at Manaphy, knowing how close they were getting, and it didn't please him in the slightest. Kyle stopped the boat and stepped on the deck.
"Okay, May, you can release Manaphy now," Kyle said.
"Now?" May asked.
"From now on, Manaphy needs to choose its own path," Shep said.
"By itself?" May asked.
"Right," Jackie said. Everyone looked at the Pokémon Ranger. "It's the way it has to be. All we can do is just watch."
May looked at Manaphy in her arms.
"It's time to go, Manaphy, by yourself," May said.
"Mana, Mana," Manaphy chirped.
"Are you ready to go?" May asked.
"Mana, Mana!" Manaphy chirped. She walked to the other side of the deck and Manaphy jumped off the Blue Lagoon and into the sea water. Manaphy dove in and out of the water.
"Good. Let's go," Kyle said as the group followed the family. As Manaphy swims by, Shep brings the group down to a lower part of the Blue Lagoon.
"Alright, down this way," Shep said, leading the group. He releases a hatch, a dome in front of them opens up to reveal an underwater forward observation room.
"Wow!" Kris said.
"It's like an aquarium," Ventus said.
"Pikachu," Sparky said.
They see Manaphy swimming along with the sea Pokémon.
"Manaphy!" May happily said. Manaphy swims towards the dome and bumps into it. Manaphy started to cry. She started to rub the glass "There, there. It doesn't hurt."
Manaphy quickly got over its pain and swam about. Everyone gets back on the top deck as Shep explains Manaphy's role once again.
"All alone. That's the way Manaphy will travel the entire ocean. Finally returning to its home, the Sea Temple," Shep said.
"How does Manaphy know where to go?" Wes asked.
"The ocean is so massive, it'll take us days to search for it, and we could end up to the shores of Olivine City for that matter," Aqua said.
"We'll have to wing it," Sora said.
Later that night, Kyle and Shep looked at the moon, seeing an eclipse taking place.
"The total lunar eclipse is coming soon," Kyle said.
"No signs of danger. Doesn't mean that there won't be any later," Rei said in her thoughts.
"And receive the blessings of the sea as the People of the Water did," Kyle added. Shep nodding, agreeing with his son.
As the days passed, Manaphy swims next to the Blue Lagoon. Sora and Kairi had their Pokémon just so they could eat their meal. Jackie is parasailing in one distance, keeping an eye opened for Samiya and Phantom just in case he was following them. Jackie makes contact with HQ.
"This is Jack Walker here. In route, no problem," Jackie said.
"Jackie, please. Save the vacation for when you're done," Judy said.
"Okay, but there's not a single bad guy so just relax," Jackie said.
Rei was doing her own looking out. She was keeping her eyes opened for Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed, and so far not a single one could be seen.
"No signs of danger. Doesn't mean that there won't be any later," Rei said in her thoughts.
Underwater, Manaphy swims along with a pod of Wailmer and Wailord. Meredith picks them up on radar and looked outside. They saw the whale Pokémon emerge from underwater and spouted water from their blowholes. Everyone were at awe when they saw the whale Pokémon. One Wailord submerged from the water with Manaphy on top.
"Look at that! Manaphy is riding on that Wailord!" Ventus said.
"So cool!" Max said.
"I'll say," Brendan said.
"Hi, Manaphy!" May said, waving to Manaphy. Wailord swerved towards the Blue Lagoon.
"Happy! Happy!" Manaphy chirped, jumping off. May catches the Seafaring Pokémon in her arms.
"Happy!" May said.
Jackie looked at May and Manaphy through his binoculars and he gave off a disapproving expression.
Later, the Blue Lagoon made a stop to a coral reef where everyone could have themselves a swim. Buizel takes Max all around. Rui was wearing a yellow bikini, giving Ventus a splash.
"Gotcha, Ven!" Rui said.
"I'll get you back!" Ventus said, splashing Rui back. Wes was looking at Rui and he blushes deeply.
"Geez, Rui, how could you wear something so revealing? We've been in the realm of darkness for five years and I never once seen you in a swimsuit. But I'll admit, you look better in a swimsuit than I thought," Wes said in his thoughts, blushing. He quickly shook his head.
Brendan came back on the Blue Lagoon with May holding Manaphy in her arms, sleeping like a baby. May shushes her boyfriend. Brendan nodded and he went by her.
Jackie hands Brendan a towel.
"So, Jackie, why did you decide to become a Pokémon Ranger in the first place?" Brendan asked. Jackie just smiled.
"I was a kid, and these Pokémon saved my life," Jackie said.
"How?" Brendan asked.
"I was hiking when a sudden blizzard came up, trapping me. It just kept blowing harder and harder. I thought I was going to freeze to death. I've never experienced bitter cold like that before. But all of a sudden, a group of migrating forest Pokémon were there. And one by one, they started to gather around me like a bunch of hot water bottles. If they weren't so kind to me that day, I wouldn't be here today. I guess I wanted to be a Pokémon Ranger ever since," Jackie explained.
"Wow, that's a great story," Brendan said.
"I was about the same age as you," Jackie said.
"Wow," Brendan said. He dove in the water. Buizel came by and Brendan held the Sea Pokémon as May held Manaphy until they came back up for air.
Later that night, May is laying in a hammock with Manaphy right beside her.
"I love you, Manaphy. Can you say 'I love you'?" May asked.
"Na?" Manaphy asked.
"Love you," May said.
"Mana you," Manaphy chirped.
"Love you," May repeated.
"Love you," Manaphy said.
"Right! Love you!" May said.
"Happy! Mana, love you!" Manaphy said.
On the next morning, Manaphy is still swimming and a migrating group of Lapras are swimming by.
"You don't think Manaphy will got lost out there, do you?" May worriedly asked.
"Manaphy will be just fine," Lizabeth assured.
"She's right. If you keep on worrying too much, you're gonna end up getting gray hair before you hit 25," Zinnia said.
"Yeah, children need freedom to grow, or else you know," Max said.
"Oh, who asked you, Max," May said, making everyone laugh.
"Love you! Love you!" Manaphy chirped, jumping out of the water. May smiled, finding it to be adorable. Jackie looked at the group with some more disapproval.
Later, Kairi is in the kitchen with Lizabeth and her mother, helping with the cooking.
"Wow, Kairi, you're quite a cook," Lizabeth complimented.
"Thanks. It helps if you have a boyfriend to cook for," Kairi said.
"It's true, Lizabeth," Karen said, bringing in some more vegetables from the refrigerator. "She got the recipes from my mom just so she could cook for my brother."
"Maybe you can teach my daughter how to cook," Meredith said.
"Same with Xion," Karen said.
Over to May, she sees Manaphy jumping out of the water, making May smile some more.
Over to Rei, she has a talk with Sora, Riku, Ash, Wes, and Rui about May and Manaphy.
"Now that we have some privacy, we have much to discuss," Rei said.
"Yeah, like how May was able to make Manaphy hatch out of its egg when she did," Sora said.
"We've all been picking up on it for days. Ever since this whole thing started, we've been getting all sorts of vibes from May and Manaphy," Wes said.
"Makes me wonder if there's something about May that none of us knew about apart of her being one of the Keyblade candidates that Bahamut mentioned," Ash said.
"Having a Keyblade is one thing, Ash, but there's gotta be more to it than that," Riku said.
"Like Rui can has the ability to see the aura of living things like back in Orre?" Wes asked.
"Or when Riku can use both darkness and light?" Rui asked.
"In all honesty, I don't have a clue. But there's no denying there is something with May," Rei said.
"What do we do?" Sora asked.
"For now, we wait and see what else develops," Rei said.
Back with May, she decided to observe Manaphy through the observation deck.
"Brendan, I need to ask you for a favor," Jackie said.
"What is it?" Brendan asked.
"Please help separate Manaphy and May," Jackie said. Brendan was shocked when Jackie requested him to do that.
"What?! Separate May from Manaphy?! Why?!" Brendan asked.
"If those two continue to get closer and closer, Manaphy won't wanna leave. And then..." Jackie paused.
"I'm sorry, Jackie, I want to help make your mission a success very badly, but I can't do that to May. I've already started my relationship with her ever since the Grand Festival ended, and I don't wanna get on a bad start by making her cry like this. What you're asking me to do goes against everything I stand for. You're asking the wrong guy," Brendan said.
"I've already asked Sora and Kairi to help me with it, and they've given me the same answer," Jackie said.
"Because they won't do it," Brendan said.
"It's okay, Brendan. You don't have to worry about me," May spoke up. Brendan and Jackie turned to the doorway and saw her standing there.
"May! How long were you standing there?" Brendan asked.
"Long enough. And you don't need to worry about me because I'll be fine. I promise," May said.
"What about Manaphy?" Jackie asked. May was silent. "Put yourself in Manaphy's place for just a moment. Remember Manaphy is the Prince of the Sea and destined to become leader of all the Sea Temple Pokémon." May was taken aback by his words.
"I haven't thought of that," May said.
"You can't expect Manaphy to stay with you forever," Jackie said. May didn't answer the Pokémon Ranger. "That's the way of nature."
May was silent and she sees Manaphy out the observation window.
"Happy! Happy, Happy!" Manaphy chirped. May's eyes filled up with tears.
"I'm sorry," May said, running off.
"May, wait!" Brendan said. Lizabeth came in and May ran passed her. Lizabeth looked at the two of them. Brendan sighed before he looked at Jackie. "Look at that. You've gone and hurt her feelings. I hope you're happy with yourself, Jackie."
Outside, Manaphy tries to get May's attention.
"Happy! Happy! Love you! Happy!" Manaphy chirped.
May is curled up against a hallway wall, crying. Brendan wanted to make his girlfriend feel better, but since he was talking to Jackie about it, he was afraid he'd make it worse. Lizabeth stepped in instead. May looked up and sees Lizabeth.
"Lizabeth, hi," May greeted. Lizabeth bends her knee to May's level.
"I know it's hard, May," Lizabeth said. May then started crying again, so Lizabeth comforted her.
Rei stepped into Jackie's quarters and she had a serious look on her face.
"Rei," Jackie said. He then looked at Rei in the eyes, seeing a stern expression. "Did Brendan tell you?"
"Yes, and so did Sora and Kairi. They told me about what you were planning to do," Rei said.
"Look, it's the way it has to be! There's no point in getting mad at me over that!" Jackie argued.
"That's not what I'm mad at you about! What I'm mad at you about is the fact you asked them to do something that it's against their nature! I do agree that Manaphy should be in Samiya as the Prince of the Sea, but dragging Sora, Kairi, Brendan, and the others into it is crossing the line!" Rei argued.
"I'm sorry you feel that way, but you have to understand it's for Manaphy's own good!" Jackie argued.
"I do understand! But May and Manaphy getting close to one another isn't affecting Manaphy's role at all! And you will see it! But if you ever drag any of them into your little plan again, then you and I are going to have problems!" Rei said, stepping out and slamming the door.
Way behind the Blue Lagoon on the ocean's floor, Phantom's submarine continues to follow them.
"I've seen no evidence that they have any idea we're following them," Galen reported.
"And let's keep it that way until they've reached the temple," Phantom said.
"Reached the temple," Chatot repeated.
"Roger that, sir," Galen said.
Back with the Blue Lagoon, Manaphy is sitting on a rock and singing while looking at the moon.
"Could that be Manaphy's song?" Leaf asked.
"It is," Lisia said.
Brendan was silent, worried about May. Speaking of which, May was down below and she saw sea Pokémon all around the Seafaring Pokémon as Manaphy sang.
"Prince of the Sea," May said. She realizes that she and Manaphy being close to one another hasn't affected Manaphy's role in any way. Lizabeth walked up to May from behind.
"Isn't Manaphy amazing?" Lizabeth asked. May didn't answer. Lizabeth took off her bracelet and she hands it to May. "Here, May. I want you to have this. It's the People of the Water's mark."
"Is it okay, Lizabeth?" May asked.
"Yeah, it's fine. I'd like for you to wear it," Lizabeth said.
"Thank you, Lizabeth," May said, taking the bracelet. As soon as she touches the bracelet, she sees images in a flash of light. What she saw was a faceless woman with a Manaphy beside her. She was a tall slender woman wearing a golden tiara with ocean blue jewels, an ocean blue halterneck top that exposes her midriff, and a matching pareo around her waist. The top and pareo are fastened together with a golden ring. And she was also barefooted. She stood before a foundation that is a large stone, shaped similarly to a layered cake, with many light-blue crystals sticking out of it. It then fades, making her shake her head. "That was weird."
"Is something wrong, May?" Lizabeth asked, concerned.
"I don't think so," May said. She placed the bracelet on her wrist. She then thinks, "This is very weird. Did I just have a vision? Could it be like that one Ash had back in Rustboro City when Xemnas attacked? What could it mean?"
On the next morning, the Blue Lagoon made a stop at a cresent-shaped island. Shep and Kyle monitors their scanner.
"Tonight's the night! Tonight is the total lunar eclipse is tonight," Shep said.
"I hope we're on time," Kyle said.
"It's up to Manaphy and the whimsy of the ocean," Shep said.
"I guess so," Kyle said.
Jackie is standing on a boulder, looking out for Phantom's submarine.
Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Brendan, Max, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, Blossom, and Sparky came out with some Pokémon food for Manaphy to eat.
"Manaphy, it's time to eat!" Sora called out. Manaphy jumped on the boat and looks around for May.
"Happy? Happy?" Manaphy asked.
"Manaphy must be looking for May," Max said.
"After what Jackie asked us to do, I'm not surprised," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Ever since yesterday she's been in a real slump," Brendan said. He sighed.
"You could've comforted her," Lisia said.
"I tried to do that, but she's been giving me the cold shoulder, and I know why despite that I said no to Jackie," Brendan said.
"It's not your fault, Brendan. You were only being a supportive boyfriend, and May knows that," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel agreed.
"She's right. Riku, Ash, and the rest of the us all respects you for it. And besides, your master had already given Jackie a good talking to about it," Karen said.
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
"So she'll come around. You just gotta talk to her," Ventus said.
"Chu," Sparky said.
"Ven's right. She'll better about it," Sora said. Brendan smiled.
"Thanks, you guys," Brendan said.
"Sora, I think we should let our Pokémon play with Manaphy for a bit," Kairi suggested. Sora smiled.
"Great idea," Sora said, taking out his Pokéballs and threw them. Swellow, Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert, Metagross, Gallade, Manectric, Salamence, Flygon, Aggron, and Glalie out. Kairi does the same thing and she lets out Plusle, Minun, Roserade, Altaria, Spinda, Delcatty, Milotic, Volbeat, Illumise, Masquerain, and Gardevoir.
Manaphy plays with the couple's Pokémon. Blossom and Sparky joined in the playtime as Swellow flew around with Manaphy on his back. He switched up to Salamance. The Dragon Pokémon flew downward towards the water as Manaphy jumped into the water, swimming with Swampert and Milotic.
May was watching from the boat and she was about to put her bandana on when a wind picks up and blew it out of her hand. Manaphy sees it and swims after it. The bandanna gets caught on a Sharpedo. Manaphy gets cut off by a school of Remoraid. It ends up on a Relicanth, so Manaphy keeps swimming after it.
Back on the boat, Sora and Kairi called their Pokémon back and they end up getting worried about Manaphy since it had been gone too long. They've filled Rei and the others in about the situation.
"And Manaphy still hasn't come back?" Rei asked.
"No, and we can't stop worrying," Brendan said.
"This we don't need," Ethan said.
May came to the deck, seeing her friends.
"What's up?" May asked.
"It's Manaphy. It hasn't come back in such a long time," Kairi said.
"Manaphy?!" May gasped.
"May, we're sorry this happened. We should have kept a better eye on it," Sora said.
"It's not your fault. We gotta get Manaphy back," May said.
"I think I can help you with that," Lizabeth said.
"Yeah? How?" Roxas asked.
"Grandpa has a mini sub that we can use," Lizabeth said.
"That'll work," Kris said.
"Marill," Marill said.
They explained to Shep about the situation and he understood. He leads them to the mini sub. It had been decided that the Keyblade wielders should be the ones to do it just in case Heartless show up. Rei, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Max, Lisia, Zinnia, and their Pokémon partners would stay behind.
"Now, don't do anything rash," Shep said.
"Of course not," Lizabeth said.
"Just be careful," Rei said. Sora and the rest of Rei's apprentices nodded. The sub departed from the Blue Lagoon and Lizabeth pilots the sub.
"It's because of the way I treated Manaphy," May said.
"No, it's not, May. You can't blame yourself over that," Naminé said.
"She's right, May," Lizabeth said.
Over to Phantom's submarine, the pirates were monitoring their activities.
"Sir, they've just launched a submarine. It's heading straight to the bottom," Galen said. Phantom grinned very evilly.
"Fine," Phantom said, lowering his chair. "From this point on, I'm going in alone."
"Alone," Chatot repeated.
"And wait for my signal," Phantom instructed.
"My signal," Chatot repeated.
"Right," Galen said.
"And that'll be soon as I have the Sea Crown in my hands," Phantom said, chuckling.
Meanwhile, Manaphy explorers a crevice on the ocean bottom, passing by a Cloyster that has May's bandanna. But Manaphy goes a little too far out and runs into a rough current stream before retreating to the crevice. Manaphy notices the Bandana on its way back and the Cloyster opens up to let Manaphy take it. It hugs the bandanna for a moment before swimming back towards where the boat would be.
Back with the mini sub, the Keyblade wielders looked around for Manaphy, especially May.
"Manaphy, where are you? Please be okay," May said. Brendan looked at his girlfriend with worry and sighed. He then sees something in the distance.
"Hey, what's that?" Brendan asked. The figure swims closer and he knew exactly what it was when it swam closer. "Guys, it's Manaphy!"
Everyone exclaimed when they saw the Seafaring Pokémon swim with bandana. Manaphy swims to May's side, holding the bandana.
"Happy, happy!" Manaphy chirped.
"Manaphy, is that what you've been looking for?" May asked.
"Happy! Love you!" Manaphy chirped.
"And I love you, too!" May said.
"This is Rei. Did you find Manaphy yet?" Rei asked.
"Yeah, we did. Manaphy was just looking for May's bandana," Lizabeth said.
"So that's what all that fuss was about," Karen said.
"Makes sense," Lisia said.
"That's a great bit of news," Shep said.
"I hope you'll be back in time for supper, because I'm going to need some help in the kitchen," Meredith said, leering at her father-in-law.
"Me?!" Shep exclaimed.
"Don't worry. Kairi and I will cook up something as soon as we get back to the boat," Lizabeth said. The submarine then started to rock, being caught in a high-speed current.
"Lizabeth, what's going on?" Shep asked.
"I think we're caught in a riptide!" Lizabeth said.
"What?!" Shep exclaimed.
"I've lost control!" Lizabeth said.
The tether to the Blue Lagoon snaps and they disappear out of the Blue Lagoon's sonar. Manaphy goes after them. Back on the Blue Lagoon, Jackie walks in.
"Lizabeth! Lizabeth!" Shep said.
"Sora, Kairi, can you hear us?" Aqua asked.
"It's no use! The radio's dead!" Shep said.
"May!" Max gasped.
"What do we do?!" Zinnia asked.
"Maybe we could try calling them through the Rotom Phone!" Ventus suggested.
"That's not a bad idea, Ven. It's worth a try," Rei said, taking out her Rotom Phone and calling Sora's. So far her call wasn't getting through. She tried Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, and Michael, but she was getting the same results. "No good. They must be too far away to have a proper signal."
"Aw man," Ventus groaned.
"Don't worry, Ven. They're going to be okay," Terra said.
"It's true. They'll be back," Aqua said.
Back underwater, Manaphy swims up to the mini sub.
"Mana! Mana!" Manaphy chirped.
"Manaphy?" May asked.
"Mana! Mana!" Manaphy said, gesturing them to follow them by swimming off in one direction.
"Manaphy wants us to follow!" May said.
"Lizabeth, can you do it?" Xion asked.
"I'm on it!" Lizabeth said, struggling to regain control. The mini sub follows Manaphy through the riptide as Lizabeth does her best to maintain control. They made it out of the current.
"We're out of the current," Ash said.
"And it was thanks to Manaphy," Ethan said.
"Yeah, we would have been goners if it weren't for Manaphy," Naminé said.
"Such a smart little Pokémon," Riku said.
"What did you expect?" May asked.
Back on the Blue Lagoon, Meredith looked out the window and sees the lunar eclipse. Shep was monitoring the mini sub through the sonar radar.
"The lunar eclipse has begun," Meredith said.
"And they've escaped unharmed," Shep said.
"Wonderful," Meredith said with relief. The radar picks up another signal.
"Oh no!" Shep gasped.
"What's wrong?" Lisia asked.
"They're being followed," Shep said.
"By what?" Jackie asked.
Down below, they're being followed by Phantom in his own mini submarine with Chatot perching on his shoulder. He grits his teeth, knowing his prize was within reach of his fingertips. The mini sub vanishes in a rainbow light, much to the pirate captain's surprise.
"What?!" Phantom exclaimed.
"What?!" Chatot repeated.
Back on the Blue Lagoon, the mini sub's signal disappeared.
"Wha?!" Ventus exclaimed.
"What just happened?" Terra asked.
"Where did they go?" Karen asked.
"I think I know," Shep said.
"You're not saying that Samiya is literally beneath our feet, are you?" Aqua said.
"That's exactly what I'm saying," Shep said.
"Then Manaphy has found it at last," Lisia said.
"It won't be long. We're almost there," Kyle said.
The the moon begins to transition into a red color.
"Look at that!" Max said.
"The moon is now red," Terra said.
"Chu," Thor said.
Back underwater, the water temple of Samiya appears right in front of the Blue Lagoon's submarine.
"Is that what I think it is?" Wes asked.
"It is. It's-" Lizabeth was about to finish.
Back on the Blue Lagoon...
"The Sea Temple!" Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Max, Lisia, Zinnia, Rei, Meredith, and Shep said in unison.
"Pika!" Blossom, Sparky, Thor, and Eclair said in unison.
"Whismur!" Aster said.
"Wait, what's that?" Max asked.
The sonar shows the other mini sub following the Blue Lagoon's mini sub through the barrier. Jackie recognized the logo on the other mini sub.
"It's Phantom!" Jackie exclaimed.
"No! He found it!" Rei exclaimed.
The Blue Lagoon's mini sub submerged to a port, so Sora opens the hatch and he gasped when he saw the temple with his very own eyes.
"Wow, we can breathe under here," Leaf said.
"And we're so far under water," Michael said.
"Well, it's not called the 'Sea Temple' just for laughs," Riku said.
"And with Manaphy's help, we found it," Xion said.
"Wow, this place would make a great setting for a concert, don't you think?" Kris asked.
"I don't think this is a time to be thinking about singing, Kris," Roxas said.
May heads for the dock and looks for the Seafaring Pokémon.
"Manaphy, where are you? Manaphy!" May called out.
Hearing her voice, Manaphy swims up to the surface. Manaphy then jumped out of the water.
"Happy!" Manaphy chirped, holding the bandana. It lands right in May's arms. "Happy! Love you!" May takes her bandana back.
"Love you, too," May said, hugging Manaphy.
Now that Manaphy was with Manaphy again and she has her bandana back, the group decided to do some exploring around the Sea Temple.
"It's beautiful in here," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"It sure is. An archeologist would have a field day, like a little kid at Christmas," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
"Yeah, they would," Michael agreed when he saw a skeletal hand sticking out. He yelped when he saw it. "GUYS!" Everyone stopped in their place.
"Michael, what's wrong?" Roxas asked.
"Pika?" Xipak asked.
"Look!" Michael said with his hand shaking and pointing to the skeletal hand. They went over to the hand and they saw some other skeletons laying on the floor, but they all wore a different armor. Sora saw the symbol on the armor. It is a demonic dragon symbol. Sora felt uneasy seeing it.
"These guys must have been soldiers from the old days," Rui said.
"Not just any soldiers. These were imperial soldiers from Palamecia," Sora said.
"He's right. I recognize the armor and that symbol," Leaf said.
"What would the skeletons of Palamecian soldiers be doing here?" Riku asked.
"Emperor Mateus must have known about this place and decided to claim the temple and the Sea Crown as property for the Palamecian Empire," Ash said.
"And it's a good thing he didn't get the Sea Crown at all," Naminé said.
"If he did, then these guys wouldn't be here," Brendan said.
"Well, they've set off the traps that probably killed them, so we'll have to be careful, too," Lizabeth said.
Agreeing on the same thing, the group moved on, leaving the skeletons behind. As they walked, May looked around and she felt somewhat nostalgic about being in the temple, but she found it strange because she knew she's never been to Samiya her whole life.
"What's the matter, May?" Naminé asked.
"Azurill?" Azurill asked.
"I don't know what's wrong," May said.
"What do you mean you don't know, May?" Roxas asked.
"Well, this is going to sound weird, but I somehow have the feeling that I've been here before," May said.
"Seriously?" Lyra asked.
"Rill?" Marill asked.
"Seriously. I'm not entirely sure about it, but I know I haven't been here at all," May said.
"That does sound weird," Ethan said.
"How exactly do you feel that you've been here before, but you haven't been here at all?" Kairi asked.
"To be honest, I don't know," May said. She looked around. "It's like I'm remembering something from a long time ago, and I have no idea how to explain any of it."
"I'm sure we'll figure it out. For now, we'll have to focus on the task at hand," Rui said.
"She's right. It's not like the answers will just come to you," Sora said.
The group eventually came to a corridor, which is blocked by a waterfall.
"It doesn't look like we can go on any further," Wes said. Manaphy started to sing and the temple started to sing back.
"Is that the temple responding to Manaphy's song?" Xion asked.
May and Lizabeth's bracelets started to react to the song as they gave an aqua glow.
"That's gotta be the People of the Water for sure!" Lizabeth said.
The waterfall splits, and several more behind it split as well, opening the pathway deeper into the temple. Manaphy jumps in the water and gestures everyone to follow it.
"Manaphy wants us to follow it," Ash said.
"Then let's go!" Michael said.
With that said, the group follows the Seafaring Pokémon down the pathway, going in further.
Over to the dock, Phantom's mini sub submerged. Chatot flew out as soon as he opened the hatch.
"Eureka! All my years of search has finally come to an end! The Sea Temple!" Phantom said.
"The Sea Temple!" Chatot repeated. He jumped off the mini sub and grinned evilly.
"Of course, that includes my beloved Sea Crown!" Phantom said.
"Beloved Sea Crown!" Chatot repeated. He laughed evilly as he ran to claim what he seeks.
Back to the Blue Lagoon, Jackie jumped off the boat and dove into the sea. He gets his Capture Styler ready and ready and he uses it on a passing Mantyke. Once it was done, Jackie grabbed on to Mantyke and swam towards Samiya. Rei does the same thing as she is now in a white one-piece swimsuit and she lets her Kingdra out. She jumped in the Dragon Pokémon's back. She took out her own oxygen mask.
"Kingdra, follow Jackie," Rei said. Kingdra nodded and started to swim towards the Sea Temple.
Back with the group, they continued to follow Manaphy through the temple, leading them up to an apparent dead end, but there's a small obelisk with some ancient writing on it. It was written in a language none of them could understand, except for one. May looked at the writing on it and she gasped because somehow, she understood it.
"Is this it?" Ash asked.
"Yes. It's the mark if the People of the Sea," Lizabeth said.
"You have any idea what it says, Lizabeth?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah, what does it say?" Sora asked.
"I don't know. Maybe grandpa can read it for us," Lizabeth said.
"Guys, I can understand it," May said. Everyone all looked at her, amazed and dumbfounded by what she said.
"You can?!" The group all said at once.
"Somehow, I can. I don't know how, but I can read it as clearly as I can read my own hand writing," May said.
"May, you're starting to scare me," Kris said.
"I think I'm scaring myself," May said.
"If you know what it says, May, then can you translate it?" Michael asked.
"I can," May said. She begins to read it. "It says: 'Beyond this door which can only be opened by the People of the Water's mark lays the crown. And whom shall wear this crown shall be known as the Monarch of the Sea'."
"The Monarch of the Sea?" Roxas asked.
"You certain that's what it says?" Wes asked.
"That's exactly what it says," Phantom said, approaching from behind. They all turned to see the pirate captain approaching them.
"Phantom!" Brendan exclaimed.
"Who invited you to the party?" Ethan asked.
"You know so much about the People of the Water, don't you?" Rui asked.
"I know everything about the People of the Water. You see, my ancestor, the first Captain Phantom and a crew of the most cutthroat pirates came to the Sea Temple thousands of years ago in an attempt to steal the Sea Crown and claim its power along with the Alpha Sapphire or you would know as the Blue Orb," Phantom explained.
"The Blue Orb?" Sora asked.
"Yes. The counterpart of the Omega Ruby, otherwise known as the Red Orb. Captain Phantom almost had the Sea Crown and the Alpha Sapphire in his grasp, but unfortunately the Sea Queen, the last human ruler of the Sea Temple and the People of the Water, Queen Sapphire. She stopped him from achieving his accomplishment when she gave her life for the People of the Water and the sea Pokémon living in the temple. She used the powers of the Sea Crown and the Alpha Sapphire to command Kyogre and wipe out the pirates without putting the world at stake. That included the first Captain Phantom," Phantom explained.
"You didn't mentioned a Sea Queen to us, Lizabeth," Brendan said.
"I didn't know about that," Lizabeth said.
"Of course you didn't. You see, after the Sea Queen perished, her younger brother chose to live on the mainland in the land of Hoenn. After our last encounter, I did some further research on the matter, and it would seem Manaphy's egg could have only been hatched by those who has royal blood flowing into their veins. And it dawned on me that it could have been done by a descendant and reincarnation of the Sea Queen herself," Phantom said. Everyone suddenly all looked at May with shocked expressions. May especially was shocked.
"Me?!" May gasped. May then realized that the mysterious woman from her vision was indeed the Sea Queen. She remembered as best as she could, but the Sea Queen resembled an adult version of May but she has tanned skin. She had the exact same hairstyle as May. And with her is an adult version of Max, wearing something fitting that of a nobleman.
"Yes. I then realized that neither myself or that Pokémon Ranger could get the egg to hatch and kept on waiting until the ocean dried up. And since Manaphy has already hatched, I decided why should I fight for the Sea Crown when you can lead me to it instead," Phantom said.
"It doesn't matter how much you know, because you have no power here," Lizabeth said.
"You could be right, but I have just the right key to open the door," Phantom said, taking out the bracelet he had.
"That's the People of the Water's mark!" Leaf said.
"How did you get a hold of that?" Riku asked.
"Just a little trinket I've been holding on to since I was a boy. As your reward for leading me all this way, I will allow you to see the Sea Crown," Phantom said, holding up the bracelet. It glows as the obelisk sinks downwards. It reveals a combination, so Phantom undoes the combination, opening the door. "It's fantastic!" He ran inside as Chatot flew after him.
"Fantastic!" Chatot repeated.
"Come back here!" Sora shouted.
"Stop!" Kairi shouted.
They all chased after him.
Back on the Blue Lagoon, they see that the moon fades back to a normal color.
"It's over now," Meredith said.
"The moon isn't red anymore," Ventus said.
Back underwater, Rei and Jackie are getting closer to the Sea Temple, but it turned invisible again.
Back inside the Sea Temple, Phantom ran up a series of stairs as the group kept chasing after him. He stopped and saw the Sea Crown with his very eyes and with awe.
"The Sea Crown. It's more beautiful than I have ever thought. And now, it's all mine," Phantom said.
"All mine," Chatot repeated.
"The Sea Crown," May said.
"Remember, there are two types of men in this world of ours. One who look good in jewels, and those who don't. And for my money, the Sea Crown and I are a match made in the heavens above!" Phantom said. Manaphy jumps into the water and swims inside it.
"That looks fun," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
Phantom touches a crystal and begins pulling it. Manaphy tries to stop him, but Phantom pulled the crystal out, making Manaphy fall on the ground, making it cry. She picked it up and rocked it to calm it down.
"What did you do?!" Lizabeth exclaimed.
"You can't take that!" Brendan said.
"I risked everything to capture the Sea Crown! The Sea Crown is my birthright, and I have finally claimed it! So from now on, the Sea Crown is mine!" Phantom said
Suddenly the water stops. The temple begins rumbling in an ominous manner.
"What was that?" Naminé asked.
"I don't know, but I think we're about to find out," Wes said.
"That is never good when someone says that," Sora said.
And he didn't know how right he was when water begins spurting out of the openings, and it's soon realized that Samiya has become unstable. They end up being pushed by the tsumani, making them scream. Manaphy started to cry.
Outside, Rei and Kingdra reached the Sea Temple.
Back with the Sea Crown, Rui almost fell and Wes quickly grabs her by the hand.
"We can't stay here!" Wes said.
"We gotta get out of here!" Riku said.
"I agree! We have to get back to the sub!" Lizabeth said.
"What about-" May was cut off.
"No, she's right! There isn't any time!" Kairi said.
"Hurry!" Sora said.
The group started to make a break for it as Rei and Jackie came running by the stairs.
"Is everyone okay?" Jackie asked.
"Jackie, Rei!" Lizabeth said.
"What happened?" Rei asked.
"Phantom got to the Sea Crown. And he started to pick out the crystals," Kairi said.
"Then all this water started to come out!" Sora said.
"The Sea Temple is sinking," Jackie said.
"Sinking?!" Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Roxas, Xion, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Wes, Rui, and Michael exclaimed in unison.
"Lizabeth, you take everyone out of the Sea Temple. I'll deal with Phantom!" Jackie said.
"What about you?" Roxas asked.
"Don't worry, Roxas. I'll be fine. I'm a Pokémon Ranger after all," Jackie said.
"Just be careful!" Roxas said.
"Let's move!" Rei said.
Back with Phantom he was placing the crystals in a sack. He didn't care about the water because he wanted to have all of the crystals.
"Not bad for an old man. But this belongs to the People of the Water and the Water-type Pokémon. You seem to have forgotten that fact," Jackie said.
"No, this is all mine now! And no one is going to take this away from me! Not you, not the reincarnated Sea Queen, not anyone!" Phantom said.
"Not anyone!" Chatot repeated.
"Is that so? Your mind's on the fritz. I'll fix that!" Jackie said, running and grabbing a couple of crystals and puts them back in place.
"Those are mine!" Phantom roared. He growled in absolute anger. "Why you, impotent twit! I'll kill you!"
"You'll have to be fast to lay a hand on me!" Jackie taunted, grabbing a couple more crystals and placed them back. He grabs one more and he taunts Phantom with his acrobatics, much to Phantom's annoyance. The pirate captain grabbed the crystal.
"Gotcha! Now, Pokémon Ranger, it's time to die!" Phantom said.
"Unless I do something, we'll both die," Jackie said.
"Impossible, because I won't let you!" Phantom said as the water, washes them off. Phantom carries the crystal he has. They end up being pushed in separate canals. Jackie tries to fight against it, but the current was too strong.
Phantom pops up out onto a canal, dropping the crystal.
"No! Don't go!" Phantom exclaimed as he rushes towards it but the crystal slips away into a smaller opening. He hits his face in the opening. "My crystal!"
Back with the group, they all board the mini sub, all except for Brendan, May, and Manaphy. May looked all around and saw the water rushing out.
"I can't let history repeat itself," May said.
"May?" Brendan asked.
"May, Brendan, what are you doing? Get on the sub!" Sora said.
"No, Sora. I have to save Samiya from sinking into the ocean," May said.
"May, that's crazy!" Sora argued.
"We don't have time to argue! Get on the sub before it's too late!" Lizabeth said.
"They're right, May. There's nothing we can do!" Brendan said.
"Something I can do," May said. She looked at Manaphy. They nodded to each other. "Sorry." May ran off.
"May, wait!" Brendan exclaimed, running after his girlfriend.
"Brendan, May! Are you crazy?!" Sora exclaimed. Sora was about to go after them when Rei stopped him.
"No! There's no time to go after them!" Rei said.
"But!" Sora said.
"She's right. We gotta go!" Lizabeth said. Sora, Rei, and Lizabeth gets inside and Lizabeth closes the hatch.
Brendan, May, and Manaphy heads for the Sea Crown's chamber and spots the crystals.
"There it is! The Sea Crown!" Brendan said.
"The only way we're gonna stop this is by putting the crystals back!" May said.
"You're right," Brendan agreed. "And that's what we'll do." The Hoenn couple jumped toward the Sea Crown and they placed the crystals back and saw that they're missing one. "There's one missing."
"Phantom must have it," May said. The water level raises up to their feet. "It won't stop unless we find the last crystal."
"Then we gotta find it before it's too late," Brendan said.
With that said, Brendan, May, and Manaphy went to find the last crystal.
Over to Phantom, he saw the water gushing from the gaps.
"So the Sea Temple is sinking. He was right," Phantom said.
"He was right! He was right!" Chatot repeated.
Phantom rushes to his mini sub to escape, but he ends up being washed in the water, making him scream. Jackie made it to a diffraction area of the Sea Temple. Spotting Phantom's mini sub, he nodded and he jumped off and lands on the mini sub. He opens the hatch as Chatot flew around. He held out his hand.
"Wanna come?" Jackie asked.
"Wanna come? Wanna come?" Chatot repeated. Jackie closes the hatch as soon as he and Chatot were inside. He was unaware of Phantom on the back. Phantom grabs onto a torpedo and uses it to escape.
In the Blue Lagoon's mini sub, the group spotted Jackie getting in Phantom's mini sub.
"Jackie made it out," Ethan said.
"Yeah, but what about May and Brendan?" Lizabeth asked.
"They'll be fine," Rei said. She could only hope. The mini sub attempts to make their escape, but a riptide prevents them from getting out.
"We're being pushed away!" Lizabeth exclaimed.
"Oh, this we really didn't need!" Roxas said.
Meanwhile, Brendan, May, and Manaphy ran as the water keeps gushing in. They ended up going in circles.
"This isn't good! We just came this way!" Brendan said.
"We're going in circles!" May said.
They kept on running until Brendan found the last crystal.
"Found it!" Brendan said, taking the crystal. "Phantom must have dropped it when he was trying to make a break for it.
"With all the flooding, I'm not surprised," May said.
"Now we just gotta put it back," Brendan said as the flooding gets worse. "And I mean now!"
"I'm going to," May said, placing Manaphy down.
"May?" Brendan asked. May takes the crystal. "I'm going to place the crystal back."
"May, you can't be serious," Brendan said.
"No time to argue. I did say that the only way to end this is by putting all of the crystals back, and that's what I'm going to do since I'm the reincarnated Sea Queen," May said.
"May," Brendan said as May jumped up.
"Brendan, I love you," May said, running.
"I love you, too, May," Brendan said.
May carries the crystal and swims towards the Sea Crown. She swam up to catch her breath and then dove back down.
Back to the Blue Lagoon, Jackie has submerged from and opened the hatch.
"Jackie!" Shep said.
"Where are the kids?" Jackie asked.
"May and Brendan hasn't come back yet," Shep said.
"What?!" Jackie exclaimed.
"And there's more. Phantom told them that May is the reincarnated Sea Queen. Any idea why that is, Jackie?" Karen asked.
"Reincarnated Sea Queen? Just like Phantom said," Jackie said.
Back in the Sea Temple, May swims down to the Sea Crown as fast as she could swim. She aims the crystal and she placed it in place. The crystals all started to give off the same light blue glow. May then underwent a transformation. May's outfit changed to the same as Sea Queen Sapphire. Her feet were now bare.
Meanwhile, yellow energy beams begin to snake out from the treasure room and wrap around Samiya as it floats upwards. At the surface, everyone is back on the Blue Lagoon and soon sees Samiya rise as the sun is rising as well as several sea Pokémon swam towards Samiya.
"Guys, look!" Ethan said. They all saw Kyogre swim along with them.
"Kyogre?" Ash asked.
"I thought Kyogre was sleeping soundly after that whole Team Aqua mess," Kris said.
"Kyogre must have woken up," Wes said.
Brendan stepped out and looked around for his girlfriend.
"May! May, where are you?!" Brendan asked.
"Mana, Manphy!" Manaphy said, coming towards Brendan.
"Manaphy. Where's May?" Brendan asked. Just then, Phantom came out of the water and grabbed the Seafaring Pokémon. "Phantom!"
"You will be coming with me!" Phantom said, holding Manaphy. He ran after Phantom, but his torpedo was too fast. "As long as I have you, I can always find the temple again. And take what's truly mine!" He laughed.
"Wrong!" A majestic feminine voice spoke.
"Huh?! Who said that?!" Phantom asked. He looked down in the water and saw the same yellow energy. It came out of the water. "What's that?!"
"Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Zinnia asked.
"Yes, but what's going on?" Aqua asked.
Upon closer inspection, it turns out to be May in her new Sea Queen outfit. Her eyes gave off a light blue glow.
"Queen Sapphire?!" Phantom exclaimed.
"Phantom the pirate! You and your ancestors have violated the sanctity of Samiya, the home of the People of the Water, and the Water-type Pokémon! Your crimes against the People of the Water ends today as you will receive the consequences for your evil actions!" Sea Queen Sapphire said through May with her voice sounding like booming and majestic. Everyone were amazed to hear May's voice.
"Is that May?" Terra asked.
"If it is, then she's gotten herself some new powers," Lisia said.
"Shep, what's happening?" Max asked.
"It seems what Phantom said to Lizabeth and the rest is true after all. Even the People of the Water have forgotten this piece of history has faded from history," Shep said.
May held out her hands and she summoned the Alpha Sapphire Kyogre in her right hand and a new Keyblade in her left hand. The Keyblade is designed after Manaphy with the blade being blue with Manaphy's yellow dots, and has a red jewel at the hilt. Manaphy's antennae acts as the teeth and the guard. The token is a miniature Manaphy. This Keyblade shall be known as the Prince of the Sea.
May goes after Phantom on his torpedo, holding her two Keyblades closely.
"I'm taking Manaphy back!" May said.
"You are?! I'd like to see you try!" Phantom taunted.
"Be careful what you asked for, because you'll end up regretting it!" May said, pointing the Prince of the Sea at Phantom and unleashed a burst of magical water. Phantom dodged it and dove underwater, but the Pokémon of the sea got into Phantom's way. Kyogre flipped him, making the pirate captain go flying. Manaphy was falling, so May let go of the Keyblades and they levitate next to her. She swooped in and caught it in her arms. "I got you, Manaphy."
"Happy! Love you!" Manaphy chirped.
Suddenly, Phantom rises up, holding on to the haul of his submarine.
"Guess who's back?" Brendan asked as he chuckled.
The submarine ends up being attacked by the Wailord. Inside the submarine, the pirates try to maintain their stance.
"Captain, the Wailord are attacking us all around!" Galen reported.
"Crush them all!" Phantom ordered.
"Yes, sir," Galen said, pushing a button. It unleashed a burst of energy in the same wavelengths as Confuse Ray. It ends up confusing all of the Pokémon in the surrounding area, and that includes Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, Marill, Aster, Chatot, and Buizel.
"What's going on with our Pokémon?" Xion asked, trying to calm down Celeste.
"They've been hit by a confusion ray!" Jackie said.
"Works just like a Confuse Ray," Michael said.
Back with Phantom, he rides on his submarine.
"Very soon, I will be the Monarch of the Sea!" Phantom said.
May lets Manaphy go and it sang its song, undoing the confusion of the sea Pokémon. Manaphy uses its power to calm them all down.
"The Pokémon are calming down!" Kris said.
"Manaphy's doing what it does best," Brendan said.
May and Manaphy raised their hands and commanded all of the sea Pokémon to attack the submarine. Some of the Mantine jumped out and fired Bubble Beam at the pirate captain, knocking him off, but holds in to a hatch. The Chinchou swims to the circuitry and shorts out the submarine's electrical systems.
In the submarine, the whole submarine goes black.
"We've lost power!" A female pirate exclaimed.
"We're practically blind!" Another pirate said.
"First mate Galen! What are your orders?!" Another pirate exclaimed. Galen didn't answer them, knowing it was all over.
Phantom is holding to dear life and he scowled.
"Why you, cursed Pokémon!" Phantom said. He gasped when he saw May and Manaphy riding on the back of Kyogre. May's body gave off a blue glow, transforming Kyogre into its Primal form. May jumped off of Kyogre with her two Keyblades as Kyogre fired Origin Pulse. Wild Blastoise come out of the water and they all fired Hydro Cannon from their cannons, surrounding May in it. May goes through the submarine, destroying many of the helicopters and sending many of the pirates flying into the air and right into the sea. Phantom survived the impact, and it is revealed that he has a mecha suit under his outfit. He is holding up a piece of his submarine, despite the damage he took. "There are two types of men in this world. There are those who are crushed, and those who do the crushing."
The group can see that the mecha was damaged.
"Is that a mecha suit?" Lizabeth asked.
"Ha, I didn't think he was taking vitamins," Jackie said.
"Vitamins, vitamins," Chatot repeated.
Phantom is still holding the structure, but it begins to crush him due to his damaged mecha suit.
"I am not crushed. No, not me!" Phantom said as the structure pins him down, groaning in pain.
May hovers back to Manaphy, Kyogre, and the other sea Pokémon, knowing that Samiya is safe from Phantom's menace. She comes by Brendan and he smiled.
"May, I didn't know you could do that!" Brendan said.
"I didn't either!" May said.
A little while later, the group is encased in the same yellow beam, cruising through the sea with the sea Pokémon, much to their delight. Samiya shines brightly all around.
"They did it. They actually did it," Jackie said.
"Actually did it," Chatot repeated as Phantom continues to struggle to get loose, but fails.
The sun has begun to set and May reverts back to her regular clothes. Sora, Kairi, and the rest of the group still couldn't believe May did all that. Jackie then approached May.
"May. I was wrong about you. I thought you would hold Manaphy back from fulfilling its role as the Prince of the Sea, but I never would have imagined that you were the key to the whole thing. I guess my mission would have failed if you didn't come along," Jackie said.
"Really?" May asked.
"Yeah, and it looks like I'm still not adding that word into my dictionary," Jackie said.
"Would you like to borrow my dictionary?" Rei jokingly offered, making everyone laugh.
"So now that Manaphy found Samiya, what's going to happen now?" Sora asked.
"Manaphy will have to return to the Sea Temple," Shep said.
"You think we'll ever see Manaphy again?" Ventus asked.
"I'm sure we will, Ven," Lizabeth said.
"I'm sure we all will," Meredith said.
"Manaphy, goodbye," May cried.
"Manaphy! Mana!" Manaphy chirped, swimming towards the group.
"Manaphy!" May cried.
"Mana! Mana!" Manaphy jumped up. "Happy!" May catches Manaphy in her arms and gave it one last hug.
"Thank you, Manaphy. I became so much stronger because of you, Manaphy. I'm so proud of you," May said.
"Mana," Manaphy said.
"You won't forget me, will you?" May tearfully asked.
"Love you, May. Heart connected forever," Manaphy chirped.
"Goodbye. Love you," May said.
"Love you, mama. Love you, May," Manaphy chirped. May just smiled. Manaphy jumped off and swam back to Samiya.
"I know it hasn't been so long, but I miss Manaphy already," Karen said.
"So do I, Karen," Sora said.
"We all do," Kairi said.
"Are you okay, May?" Max asked.
"No, I'm not okay. But I will be," May said.
"I know you will be, May," Brendan said placing his arms around May, hugging her from behind. "You know I'll be right here beside you if you need me." May smiled lovingly at her boyfriend.
"Thank you, Brendan," May said with tears sliding down her face.
A little while later, Jackie made contact with the Pokémon Rangers HQ.
"Jack Walker here. Mission complete," Jackie reported.
"Good work, Jackie," Judy said before Jackie broke contact.
On the very next day, Lizabeth and her family are going to take the group to Ever Grand City so Sora and Brendan can enter the Hoenn Pokémon League.
"You sure you can't come along with us, Jackie?" Sora asked.
"Like to, Sora, but I still got some work to do. One of those things is to make certain that Phantom and his crew makes it safely a prison cell with Officer Jenny. Phantom is an international criminal after all," Jackie said.
"That's a good idea, because those pirates deserve to be locked up for the rest of their lives," Aqua said.
"Sora, Brendan, good luck to the both of you," Jackie said.
"Thanks, Jackie," Sora and Brendan said.
"And thanks for the assist," Jackie said.
"Anytime, Jackie," Shep said.
"You know how to find us if you ever need a hand," Meredith said.
With that said, the Blue Lagoon has set a course for the mainland to pick up his crew before they'd set sail for Ever Grande City. So how will Sora and Brendan fare in the tournament to come? Well, you'll have to stay tuned with the story if you wanna find out!
