Episode 357: Ven's Romance
A few days have passed since Kairi and Elaine's eggs have hatched, revealing to be a Squirtle for Kairi and a Bulbasaur for Elaine. They had finally arrived at Porta Vista, the site of Kairi's next Pokémon Contest. It was her chance to earn her third Contest Ribbon and be one step closer to the Kanto Grand Festival.
"Porta Vista. We made it," Elaine said.
"You are so lucky to have relatives living here, Sora," Chase said.
"Pika, Pika!" Volt said.
"I wouldn't call it luck," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"We should hit the beach as long as we're here," Elaine said.
"Eevee, vee!" Maple added.
"Yeah! We can have loads of fun on the beach!" Chase said.
"Pi!" Volt said.
"Guys, this isn't a vacation. We're here for the Pokémon Contest that's taking place here, remember?" Sora reminded his two friends.
"Sora's right, you two. We can do that later. So, I suggest we head for Danny and Cattleya's house," Rei said.
"Yes, Master," Sora, Kairi, Chase, and Elaine said in unison.
With that said, they walked into the town and right to Ventus's house. When they arrived, Ventus and Sparky had stepped out of the house and were about to go next door when Sora, Kairi, Chase, Elaine, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Volt, and Maple spotted them.
"Ven?" Sora asked.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"What is he up to?" Chase asked.
"Let's ask him and find out," Sora said. He approached his younger cousin and tapped him on his shoulder. Ventus flinched when he felt Sora's hand and yelped in fear. He shuts his eyes.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean anything by it!" Ventus exclaimed.
"Ven, what's up with you?" Sora asked. Recognizing Sora's voice, Ventus opened his eyes and saw it was Sora.
"Sora. It's only you. Sorry about that. I thought you were someone else," Ventus said.
"Apology accepted, but who did you expect it was?" Sora asked.
"Um, no one special," Ventus said, blushing. Kairi caught on to Ventus's red face. She knew something was up with her boyfriend's cousin. "Um, you wanna come in?"
"Sure," Sora said.
With that said, Ventus let in the group as Cattleya is carrying Yuki in her arms. Her face lit up when she saw her nephew.
"My little Sora," Cattleya said, walking over to Sora and hugged him with the baby girl hugging Sora as well.
"Hi, Aunt Cattleya," Sora greeted. He then looked over at Yuki. "Hi to you, too, Yuki." Yuki giggled as she happily reached out for Sora.
"She says hi," Cattleya said, handing the baby to Sora.
"Is Uncle Danny at the restaurant?" Sora asked.
"Yes. He left over an hour ago. But he'll be in for a great surprise when he comes home," Cattleya said.
"And what a nice surprise that'll be," Elaine said.
"Eevee," Maple said.
"You must be hungry after coming all this way," Cattleya said.
"Well, we could use a filling meal," Rei said.
As they ate the meal provided to them, Sora and Kairi shared with his aunt about the adventures they had and Kairi's Pokémon Contests.
"I must say, I am mighty impressed, Kairi. I had a feeling you would come here since the Porta Vista Pokémon Contest is happening in two weeks," Cattleya said.
"Speaking of which, have you decided on which ones you're gonna use, Kairi?" Elaine asked.
"I decided to use Togetic for the appeals round. Maybe, I can use Flareon for the second round," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I am looking forward to seeing you perform, Kairi. My little Ventus told me about how you won the Hoenn Grand Festival," Cattleya said.
"Well, I'll do my best," Kairi said. A knock on the door is heard.
"I'll get it," Ventus said as he stood up. He walked over to the door and he opened the door. Standing at the doorway was Elise. "Auntie Elise!"
"Ventus! How's my favorite nephew?" Elise asked, hugging Ventus before she came inside. She saw Rei and her apprentices. "Hello, Rei. Great seeing you again."
"Likewise," Rei said.
"Hello again, Sora and Kairi. I had a feeling I'd see you here. And I believe I've seen you before. It was during that party in Pallet Town," Elise said.
"You're Elise, right? You're one of Ben's apprentices," Chase said.
"They were chosen as Keyblade wielders and they're my new apprentices," Rei said.
"I had a feeling that was the case. I did feel something coming to this house, but that's not the reason I'm here," Elise said. She eyed Yuki as she babbled. "But that is. Come to Auntie." She picked Yuki from her highchair and she gave her a bunch of kisses before she gave her a raspberry on her belly, making her laugh. "You are so cute on so many levels." Sora and Kairi smiled at the sight.
"Anyway, since we got done with lunch, how about we step out for some training for the Contest?" Kairi suggested.
"Great idea, Kairi," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee, vee," Angel said.
Everyone stepped outside to the backyard as Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Togetic! Come out!" Kairi called out. Her Pokéball opened and Togetic emerged from inside.
"Togeti!" Togetic said.
"Alright Togetic! Start things up with your Swift!" Kairi ordered. Togetic fired Swift right into the air. "Now, use Fairy Wind!" Togetic flapped his wings and blew Fairy Wind, turning the stars pink. It was such an amazing sight to behold.
"Oh, how beautiful," Cattleya said.
"Remarkable," Chase said, doing an impression of Suziko.
"Aerial Ace!" Kairi ordered. Togetic flew around, making the pink stars follow him into the sky. It was absolutely incredible. "Fly into a circle!" Togetic flew around into a circle, making a pink ring. "Use Last Resort!" Togetic's body became outlined in a golden aura, with orbs of energy being absorbed into its body. The golden aura then forms into a massive star in front of Togetic's body and is fired at the center of the ring, making a sparkly explosion. Kairi bows her head as Togetic bowed along with her.
"That was wonderful, Kairi," Cattleya said.
"The judges will definitely eat it up," Elise said.
"Thanks. Now, I think I have to practice with my Flareon," Kairi said.
"I think I can help you there, Kairi," Rei said, standing up.
"Thank you, Master," Kairi said.
Both master and apprentice got into position for the practice battle, so Rei took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"I choose you, Ampharos!" Rei called out. Her Pokéball opened and her Ampharos emerged from inside. "You may have the first move."
"Flareon! Use Fire Spin!" Kairi ordered. Flareon unleashes a Fire Spin and sends it to Ampharos.
"Use Light Screen!" Rei ordered. Ampharos creates a golden-yellow barrier, blocking Flareon's Fire Spin. "Great job, Ampharos! Use Thunder Punch!" Ampharos came at Flareon with a Thunder Punch.
"Dodge with Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Flareon dodged Ampharos's Thunder Punch. "Use Quick Attack, but as an actual attack!" Flareon dashed at Ampharos and landed a hit. "Fire Fang!" Flareon's teeth emit fire and lands a bite onto Ampharos. The Light Pokémon ends up being burned.
"Nicely done, Kairi," Rei said.
"Thank you, Master," Kairi said.
"Let's continue the practice," Rei said.
Agreeing with Rei, Kairi and Rei continued on with the training when Terra and Aqua, along with Thor and Eclair came to the backyard.
"No wonder it's been quite inside. This is where the excitement is taking place," Aqua said.
"Pikachu," Eclair said.
"Terra, Aqua. Hey!" Sora greeted.
"Hello, Sora. Hello, Kairi. Haven't seen you since the party," Terra said.
"Pika, Pika," Thor said.
"I guess Aqua was right about Kairi being here since the Contest is going to be taking place here soon," Terra said.
"Sure was," Aqua said.
"Well, I was doing some practicing when you two came by," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Flareon," Flareon said.
"Smells like someone needs a new diaper," Cattleya said, standing up. "Sorry, but I have to go change Yuki's diaper."
"That's fine, sis," Elise said.
Cattleya stepped inside with Yuki.
"So, what were two up to since we last saw you?" Sora asked.
"Oh, not much. Just hanging around," Terra said.
"Yeah, hanging around," Aqua added. "Since we got back home, Ven has gotten himself some new neighbors." Ventus then started to blush.
"New neighbors?" Sora asked.
"I take it that Ven never mentioned this to you," Terra said.
"I thought he would have brought it up," Aqua said.
"Not really," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Thanks a lot, big mouths," Ventus said to Terra and Aqua.
"Ventus, what is this about?" Elise asked.
"Nothing," Ventus fibbed. Elise wasn't buying it.
"Don't tell me it's nothing. I know it isn't nothing. Now, tell your auntie the truth. What's this about?" Elise asked. Ventus looked at her aunt and then looked at Sora who nodded since he knew his cousin was curious.
"Okay. I do have new neighbors next door to me and there's a new friend who lives there," Ventus said, blushing.
"A new friend?" Chase asked.
"Who is it?" Kairi asked.
"I'll show you," Ventus said. They went to the front yard. "It's her." Ventus points forward. They see a fair skinned girl with long white hair, and amber eyes. She wore an emerald dress and gold shoes with white socks.
"Oh, so it's a girl," Sora said in a teasing manner.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"She's really cute," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I agree. She's very adorable. What's her name?" Elise asked.
"Her name is Ryuko," Ventus blushed.
"We saw them moving in when we came back. And Ven ended up having a crush on her," Terra said. Ventus blushed redder than Sparky's cheeks.
"I do not!" Ventus snapped at Terra.
"What do you think, guys?" Kairi asked.
"He does. He really does," Sora, Chase, and Elaine said in unison.
"Pikachu," Sparky said.
"You too, Sparky?" Ventus asked.
"So, haven't you ever talked to her?" Elise asked.
"I did. Once. When we came over to introduce ourselves, her uncle came out and he told us to stay away from her and he called her something mean," Ventus said.
"Something mean?" Rei asked.
"He called her a freak. And it really hurt Ryuko's feelings," Terra said.
"A freak? That's no way to talk to one's niece," Rei said.
"Yeah, that's what he calls her. And he belittles her, and calls her other names. He's a disgusting human being," Aqua said.
"Pika," Eclair agreed.
"I mean, she's a sweet girl. That man is such a beast. He wouldn't let her out to play or anything," Aqua said.
"That doesn't sound fair," Sora said,"
"You're right, it's not. All she did was say hello and smile at us," Terra said.
"I just wanted to be her friend," Ventus said.
"I honestly don't see anything wrong with her or anything. And I don't see why you and her can't be friends, Ventus," Elise said.
"I gotta say, calling a child names is inexcusable, but I'm sure there's a good reason for it. Besides, I'm sure he isn't that bad," Rei said.
"Ryuko! Where are you?!" An angry man's voice roared from inside the house. The man stepped out. He has fair skin with freckles and short red hair. He wore a white shirt, blue jeans, and blue sneakers. Ryuko was frightened when he stepped out. Elise just took one look at him, and she already wanted to beat him half to death. "What are you doing out here? I thought I told you to stay inside, you little freak!"
"Sorry, Uncle Chet," Ryuko apologized.
"Get in now!" Chet said, grabbing her by the arm and threw her inside the house, much to their disgust and disapproval.
"I take it back. He's worse than bad," Rei said.
"This guy is just plain mean. How could she have ended up with him?" Kairi asked.
"That's what we were asking ourselves," Aqua said.
"Didn't you talk to my aunt and uncle about it?" Sora asked.
"We did, but they said there's nothing we can do about it," Terra said.
"They also hoped he'll come around and accept her as she is, like that's gonna happen," Aqua said.
"It's been like that ever since," Terra said.
Sora and Elise looked at Ventus, knowing Ventus wants her to be more than a friend. Ventus has his first love, and they both wanted to help him out.
"Aw, Ven," Sora said, feeling sorry for her.
Meanwhile, just miles outside of Porta Vista, a humanoid creature flew the skies, heading right for Porta Vista. It turns out to be a slender green humanoid dragon, so she has the same features as a human woman. Her face and she has long white hair like Ryuko. Her scales are green and her underbelly is light green. She had a long tail, and large dragonic wings.
"I'm coming for you, my daughter! I swear, I'll save you!" The humanoid dragon said. She flew past a passing Fearow. When she darts past the Beak Pokémon, it was almost knocked out of the sky, looking all confused.
"What was that about?" - Fearow subtitle.
Back in Porta Vista, Ryuko opened her window up above and she whistled over to Ventus. Hearing the whistle, they all turned to see her. Ventus's face lit up seeing her.
"Ryuko!" Ventus asked.
"Shh! My uncle will hear us," Ryuko said in a sweet voice. Ventus nodded, understanding.
"I'm sorry about how my uncle is," Ryuko apologized.
"You got nothing to be sorry about," Aqua said.
"We're just glad to have met you," Terra said.
"I really want to be friends with you. I really do want to get to know you," Ryuko said.
"We do too," Ventus said.
"Pika," Sparky said.
"We all wanna get to know you, no matter what your uncle says," Ventus said.
"Ven," Ryuko said. She wanted to jump out and get to know Ventus and his friends, but she was too afraid to do it because of her uncle. She wanted to have at least one friend. She couldn't hold herself back any longer, so she finally built up the courage to ask. "May I come and play with you?"
"Sure, you can, Ryuko," Ventus said.
"You'll need some help with that," Rei said, letting out her Gardevoir. "Alright, Gardevoir. Use Psychic to lift her out of her window." Gardevoir complies with her Trainer and uses Psychic to lift Ryuko from her window and down to the group. Ventus ran up to her.
"Coe on, let's go before he notices you're not there," Ventus said. Ryuko nodded as the group left the house and headed down for the streets of Porta Vista, unaware of Cattleya and Yuki were listening in on them.
"I knew they'd make their move as soon they got here," Cattleya said.
The group made a stop once they were far enough.
"I think this is far enough," Chase said.
"Yeah, so it should be okay," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Thank you for letting me out. But now, my uncle will be mad when he sees I'm not in my room anymore," Ryuko said.
"Well, it doesn't feel right to have your house to be used as a prison," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Anyway, Ryuko, I want you to meet Sora. He's my cousin. And this is Pikachu," Ventus introduced his cousin and partner.
"Nice to meet you, Ryuko," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"This is my Auntie Else," Ventus introduced his aunt.
"It's very nice to meet you, sweetheart," Elise said.
"This is Sora's girlfriend Kairi and her Eevee Angel," Ventus introduced.
"Hi, Ryuko," Kairi greeted.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I'm Chase and this is Volt," Chase introduced.
"Pika, Pika," Volt said.
"My name's Elaine, and this is Maple," Elaine introduced.
"Eevee," Maple said.
"And I'm Rei Sakura," Rei introduced herself.
"Hello," Ryuko timidly said. She looked at the group and saw how nice they all looked. She begins to smile at them a little. "It's nice to meet you."
"Do you know why your uncle is like that with you, Ryuko?" Chase asked.
"He's like that with me because of my mommy. He and my mommy don't like each other. My grandma and grandpa accepted her, along with everyone else, but my Uncle Chet never liked her. He always called her the same names he called me," Ryuko explained.
"Well, that sums it up," Chase said.
"And when I was born, my Uncle Chet always told me he didn't like me and I should never have been born. He only took me in because my daddy asked him to," Ryuko said.
"What happened to your mom and dad?" Kairi asked.
"They were both killed in a car crash just two years ago, leaving me without my mommy and daddy. I was in the car with them when it happened. My mommy got me out in time before the car went crashing. The last thing she told me that she and my daddy loved me. I never saw the again after that," Ryuko explained. The group felt sorry for Ryuko, seeing how the only reason the unloving uncle took her in was because of her father.
"How terrible," Elaine said.
"Vee," Maple said.
"It's bad enough you had to end up with an uncle like that, but I can respect he was respecting his brother's wishes," Elise said.
"So can I. It's just fortunate that you weren't in the crash," Rei said.
"So now that we got you out of the house, how would you like to have some fun with us on the beach?" Ventus offered. Ryuko liked the idea of having fun at the beach. The idea of fun in the sun sounded very good to her.
"Yes, I would," Ryuko said, accepting the invitation.
With that said, the group went down to the beach to have some fun. Sora, Kairi, Chase, and Elaine had let out their other Pokémon for the fun. Kairi's Squirtle looked at the ocean at awe. Kairi went up behind the Tiny Turtle Pokémon.
"That's the ocean, Squirtle. It's a very beautiful thing, don't you think?" Kairi asked.
"Squirtle, Squirtle," Squirtle said. Squirtle spotted a green headband. Kairi giggled and she saw it has eye holes.
"I can see you want one of those, don't you?" Kairi asked.
"Squirtle," Squirtle said. Kairi buys a headband for her Squirtle and placed it over his eyes. Kairi giggled when she how it looked on Squirtle.
"It looks good on you, Squirtle," Kairi said.
"Squirtle," Squirtle said.
Sora wore a pair of blue and black trunks while Kairi wore a red and blue bikini. Chase wore green and orange trunks as Elaine wore a purple one-piece swimsuit. Ryuko wore a green one piece swimsuit. Elise wore a red, orange, and yellow bikini. Rei just has her white one-piece swimsuit as Ventus, Terra, and Aqua had their own swimsuits.
They all had fun as Ventus and Ryuko splashed water on each other. At one point, Ryuko was collecting seashells.
"You know, Ryuko, they say if you hold one by your ear, you can hear the sound of the ocean," Ventus said.
"Really? You can?" Ryuko asked.
"Give it a try and see for yourself," Ventus said. Ryuko held one by her ear and she heard the sound of the ocean.
"Wow. It really does sound like the ocean," Ryuko said.
"See? What did I tell you?" Ventus asked.
They went around the beach as they had more fun. At one point, they watched a Pokémon battle taking place. It was a short Pinsir against a Scizor. The short Pinsir gave the Mantis Pokémon a toss, resulting in a knockout.
Back at Ryuko's house, Chet came in with a bowl.
"Here's a bowl of gruel for you," Chet said in a not-so-caring manner. He saw Ryuko was gone and the window opened. "What the?! She's gone! She must have taken off! I'm gonna find that little monstrosity and lock her in a cage." He stormed out of the house, looking for Ryuko.
Back at the peach, Ryuko laughed as she and Ventus were playing some more. By then, the group had already changed into their regular clothes.
"Is this the most fun I have ever had since my mommy and daddy died," Ryuko said.
"I'm glad you had a good time, Ryuko. I really am. Aren't you glad you did this?" Ventus asked.
"I am. And the best part of it is, I got to have this day with you, Ventus," Ryuko said.
"You can just call me Ven," Ventus said.
"Okay, Ven," Ryuko said.
Sora, Kairi, Chase, Elaine, Terra, Aqua, Rei, Elise, and the Pokémon all smiled as they were talking.
"I'm glad I met you, Ven. Because you're really nice. And you're really cute, too," Ryuko said, making Ventus blush.
"Well, you're really cute, too, Ryuko," Ventus said. Ryuko smiled.
"Aha! I caught you!" A familiar angry voice roared. Ryuko gasped when she saw her uncle.
"Uncle Chet!" Ryuko exclaimed with fright.
"How dare you defy me and run away like that, you freak! Get over here right now!" Chet demanded.
"But, Uncle Che-" Ryuko was cut off.
"Don't talk back to me! You do what I say! And when I tell you to come over here, you do it! I'm going to say it again! Get over here, right now!" Chet said. Ryuko was scared, but Sora had seen enough and stepped in.
"And why should she?" Sora asked. Chet looked at Sora, getting angered. "You shouldn't be calling her names like that!"
"I can call her whatever I want! And this doesn't involve you! So butt the hell out!" Chet said.
"Hey, don't talk to my friend like that!" Chase snapped at him.
"And what are you going to do if he doesn't?" Elise asked in an angry voice, stepping forward. "All your niece wanted is to make one friend and she has!"
"She has no friends, because I won't allow it!" Chet argued.
"Won't allow her to make a friend?! Are you for real, you brain-dead, knuckle-dragging Neanderthal?! What kind of uncle are you?! Is this how you wanna honor your promise to your brother by verbally abusing your niece?! She's only a little girl! A child! You have the audacity and the nerve to call her hurtful names! Why?! Because of her mother?! If she was my niece, I would give her all the love and the affection that she deserves!" Elise exclaimed.
"Listen to me! You don't seem to understand! She's not who you think she is! She's not even human!" Chet snapped. This sets them all off.
"Not human?! Are you blind?! Of course she's human! She's just as human as you and me!" Elise argued.
"No, she's not! She's a monster! She looks human on the outside, but she's really a monster, both inside and out!" Chet said.
"How can you say that terrible thing?" Kairi asked.
"She's not a monster!" Ventus said.
"Actually..." Ryuko said, making everyone look at her. "There's something I think you should all see." She begins to give off a green glow and she reveals her true self. She has the appearance of a humanoid dragon. Her face and hair has her human features, shocking them all.
"Wha?" Sora asked.
"See? That's what she really looks like! She's a weredragon!" Chet said.
"Wait, weredragon? She's a weredragon?" Rei asked.
"Did you just hear me? That's exactly what I said!" Chet said.
"I didn't think they were real," Rei said.
"Ryuko," Ventus said.
"Is this the real me, Ven. My Uncle Chet is right. I'm a monster. Inside and out. This is why he never let's me have any fun or any friends. And I can see you won't wanna be friends with me anymore," Ryuko said as she started to cry.
"No, that's true, Ryuko," Ventus said. Ryuko was shocked to hear it. Sora, Kairi, Chase, Elaine, Terra, Aqua, Rei, Elise, Chet and the Pokémon were just as shocked. "I don't believe any of what your uncle said. You're not a monster; not to me, at least. My mom always told me that it doesn't matter who or what that person is, because it's the person's heart that makes the difference. I'm afraid of you because I saw you for who you are. It doesn't matter to me if you're a human or a weredragon, because you're you. And I meant what I said about wanting to be your friend. And if they can't accept you for who you are, then it'll be their loss. Also, you're cute no matter what you look like." Ryuko blushed when Ventus said all that to her.
"Ven. Does that mean...?" Ryuko asked.
"Yeah. I accept you for who you are," Ventus said.
"Your mom taught you right, Ventus. She was right to teach you tolerance and acceptance. I'd expect no less from my big sister," Elise said, feeling proud of her nephew.
"Ven's right. It doesn't matter what they really look like. We saw what was your heart, and that's all that matters. That's all that should matter," Sora said.
"Well said," Rei said.
"I will not stand idly by and let you fill her mind with that touchy-feely tolerance and acceptance bullcrap! The world has to know that these freaks and monsters are all around us! Demihumans are all freaks! Every one of them!" Chet said.
"Is that so?" A familiar voice spoke. They all saw Danny and Big Earl walking up behind him.
"Uncle Danny, Big Earl?" Sora asked.
"If there's one thing I cannot stand is a racist! I thought you were just a jerk, but you, sir, have exceeded my wildest expectations! I was thinking of calling child protective services on you. You treat your house like it was a prison, and that is unacceptable! It shouldn't even matter if she's a weredragon! She's your family! You should treat her like your own child! You should have been protecting her and doing your part to making sure she grows up on the right path, but you have not been doing that! You don't deserve to call yourself her uncle! You don't even deserve to be a part of her family!" Danny said.
"Who are you to tell me what I deserve or not? I was protecting the world from her, and your nosey son came and ruined it all! And if he ever crosses me again, I'm going to beat him to death!" Chet threatened. Everyone were morally appalled by the threat; especially Sora, Terra, Aqua, Elise, Danny, and Big Earl. Big Earl stepped forward. Chet was started to get scared of Big Earl because of his size.
"I did not just hear you make that threat, little man. If you ever make that kind of threat again, even when you think no one is around, I'm going to pound your head so far between your shoulders, you'll be taking off your shirt just to eat," Big Earl said. Chet was shaking in fear.
"Uh, I'd like to see you try it," Chet said, shaking. Big Earl just grinned.
"Boo!" Big Earl said, making Chet jump. "Thougnt so."
"Ryuko!" A voice called out. Ryuko recognized the voice. Chet also recognized the voice, much to his dismay.
"Oh, no," Chet said.
Just then, the female weredragon flew down and she spotted Ryuko and she smiled.
"Ryuko, it's me! It's mommy!" Ryuko's mother said, holding out her arms for a hug.
"Mommy!" Ryuko happily exclaimed. She jumped into her mother's arms.
"Oh, my baby," Ryuko's mother said, crying.
"I'm guessing that's her mom," Chase said.
"You guessed?" Elaine asked with a small hint of sarcasm.
"I found you at last," Ryuko's mom said.
"Mommy, where have you been?" Ryuko asked.
"I was in a coma for two years. And I've been there ever since, he tried to have me killed!" Ryuko's mother said, pointing her clawed finger at Chet.
"Me?!" Chet exclaimed.
"That's right! You tried to have me and Ryuko killed! You had the break lines cut and you made me and your brother crash to our deaths! I was alive, but only knocked out! You also murdered your own brother!" Ryuko's mother snapped at Chet, placing Ryuko down and she approached him. She grabbed him by the shirt. "YOU KILLED YOUR OWN BROTHER!"
"I didn't know he was gonna drive the car! I wouldn't have cut the breaks if I knew he was driving instead of you! I had to get you and your freak of a daughter out of our lives!" Chet said.
"I'm not a freak! You are, Chet! You couldn't accept your brother's happiness and you had him killed just to get rid of me! And now, I find out that you've been raising her for these past two years and you still hadn't accept her?! I can say, I'm glad he's gone, because he would be gravely disappointed in you," Ryuko's mother said. Chet said nothing and thought about it. "Everyone else in the family had accepted me, but you're the only one who didn't. You did an unforgivable thing."
Chet started to make a run for it. Both Ryuko and her mother changed back to their human forms. Ryuko's mother wore the same green dress as her.
"Mommy," Ryuko said.
"I'm sorry for not coming back to you sooner, sweetheart. I promise, I will never leave you again. I hope you can forgive me," Ryuko's mother said. Ryuko hugged her mother tightly.
"I'm not mad at you, mommy. I'm just glad you're here. I missed you very much," Ryuko said.
"I missed you, too, darling," Ryuko's mother said. "Now, we'll have to leave and find a new home."
"A new home?" Ryuko asked, feeling sad.
"Yes. We'll have to go somewhere far away. Somewhere your uncle won't ever find us," Ryuko's mother said.
"But that means I won't see Ven again, doesn't it?" Ryuko asked.
"Ven?" Ryuko's mother asked.
"That'll be me, ma'am," Ventus spoke up. She looked at Ventus. "Ryuko just wanted to make a new friend, so I became her friend. And I wanted to get to know her better."
"We all saw what was in her heart, and we all accept her for who she is," Aqua said.
"So, it wouldn't be fair if she couldn't see us anymore," Terra said. Sparky, Thor, and Eclair nodded with agreement.
"She had fun on the beach with us," Sora said.
"And we had loads of fun," Chase said.
"She was also smiling and laughing," Kairi said.
"We took her out to the beach because we thought she deserved to have some fun every once and a while," Elaine said.
"We were appalled by how she was being treated, so we helped her out," Elise said.
"And we were willing to protect her anyway we can," Rei said.
Ryuko's mother looked at the friends she made, and she didn't want to take that away from her daughter; especially after getting back together again.
"I suppose we can stay in the city, but there is the matter of where we'll stay," Ryuko's mother said.
"Leave that to me," Danny said.
A little later, at Ryuko's house, Chet opened the door and there was Officer Jenny at the door. A recording of Chet admitting he admitted to cutting the break line was brought to them, so Chet is looking at a murder charge. Ryuko's mother now has legal custody of Ryuko and the new owner of the house. Chet's belongings were tossed out in the garbage.
So, Ventus and Ryuko sat in the backyard, looking at the stars.
"Is what Terra said true? Each one of those stars is a different world?" Ryuko asked.
"Yeah, that's what he said. Shining down on us like a million lanterns," Ventus said.
"That's so amazing, Ven. And thank you for sticking up for me. Do you mean what you said to me, Ven?" Ryuko asked.
"Sure, I do. After all, that's what friends do. They stick up for each other," Ventus said. Ryuko smiled at that.
"You're very sweet, Ven. And here's something I wanted to give you," Ryuko said. Before Ventus could ask, Ryuko gave Ventus a kiss on the cheek, making him blush. He liked how warm if felt. "A thank you kiss."
"You're welcome, Ryuko," Ventus said, blushing.
Unknown to them, Sora, Cattleya, Elise, and Ryuko's mother were watching close, smiling.
"Man, Karen and mom is going to bust a button when she sees this," Sora said.
"It's so sweet," Elise said.
"I can see why she didn't wanna leave. She loves Ventus so much," Ryuko's mother said.
"Thank you for allowing my son to get to know her," Cattleya said.
"Of course, Cattleya. I only want my daughter to be happy. And I think your son is the reason she's happy. She would he sad if I just took that away from her," Ryuko's mother said.
"My Ventus would feel the same way. He loves her the same way she loves him. And I'm already counting the days before their friendship blossoms into romance," Cattleya said.
"So am I," Ryuko's mother said.
Sora felt happy for his cousin since he found himself a future girlfriend. Sora wondered if they'll have the same kind of relationship as he and Kairi. But only time knows the answer to that question.
