Chapter 4

Episode- Broken

Harry, Ron, Hermione, Emma and Henry exited the hospital blindly trying to make their way through the thick purple smoke until it started to clear. Once the purple smoke did clear it seemed that everything was fine there was no problem.

Hermione took out her wand and gave it a wave. A wavy Rippling appeared in the air around where the wand had been waved.

"Oh my!" said Hermione. "Something's changed."

"What is it?" asked Harry.

"The Magic in the air in the general vicinity has been exponentially Amplified."

"Did the breaking of the curse cause this?" asked Ron.

"No, this magic I'm sensing is completely different."

"It is magic, yes." said Mother Superior as she came up behind them. "The purple smoke. But it's magic from our world. It's been brought here to Storybrooke."

"Magic in Storybrooke?" said Henry.

"That's correct Henry." said Mother Superior.

"But you're the Blue Fairy. Do you have your powers back?"

"Unfortunately without a wand or fairy dust I can't use any magic."

"Wait, hold on a second." said Ron. "You're a fairy?"

"Yes." replied Mother Superior.

"Fairies are a primitive unintelligent magical creature in The Wizarding World."

"In the Enchanted Forest fairies are very different than the fairies that you have here." explained Mother Superior.

"So, put it simply, you're a sorceress?" asked Hermione Granger.

"Yes." said Mother Superior.

"Clearly we have much to learn about each other." said Hermione Granger.

"Actually, I am well aware of the existence of your magical government." said Mother Superior.

"You are?" asked Harry.

"In the Enchanted Forest we fairies have limited knowledge of the existence of your Wizarding World in this realm."

"Interesting." said Hermione.

"Wait a second?" said Harry. "Blue fairy? Are you the Blue Fairy from the Fairy Tail story of Pinocchio?"

"Yes. But only in the fairy tales of this world. In the Enchanted Forest I actually have a much larger part in many other characters stories."

That is when Emma remembered something.

"Oh, Mother Superior, that reminds me. Pinocchio is here. He's in a hotel room at Granny's. And he's been turned back into wood."

"He has not been a very good boy since he came to this realm." said Mother Superior. "Nonetheless, whether he's been a good boy or not it is my wish that he be a real boy. I will take a look at him as soon as I can."

They all then looked around and people were running and rushing around all over the place, apparently panicked.

It was then that a young blonde woman holding a baby in her arms came rushing over.

"Ashley." said Emma acknowledging her presence.

But Ashley's attention was on Mother Superior.

"Fairy Godmother!" said Ashley to Mother Superior with a face that showed relief.

"Cinderella!" said Mother Superior with a smile, and then hugged her, careful with the baby. "It is good to see you."

Harry and Hermione looked at each other with skeptical faces at the name.

"I heard about Henry. I'm glad he's okay."

"Thanks Ashley." said Emma as she and Henry gave Ashley and the baby a light squeeze with their arms. "How is little Alexandria?"

Emma then tickled the little baby under the chin.

"She is in good health, considering I was pregnant for 28 years under the curse." said Ashley exasperated.

But Ashley was looking a little haggard and stressed.

"Fairy Godmother, Sheriff, it's the town, it's in chaos. The breaking of the curse, and then the appearance of the purple smoke has put everyone into a state of disorder."

"They need a leader to direct them step by step back into order?" said Mother Superior, considering the situation and trying to come up with a plan.

"Someone that they will trust and follow." answered Harry. "And right now I don't think it's her Royal Majesty the Mayor."

Ashley paused and looked into empty space to try and think of something as she shifted the position of the baby in her arms.

"Those who were sitting on the throne when the curse was enacted." said Ashley.

"What?" asked Emma, not quite understanding.

"Those who were sitting on the throne when the curse was enacted." Ashley repeated. "The people of the Enchanted Forest are loyal to Snow White and Prince Charming."

"Then we need to find Mary Margaret and David." said Henry.

"I agree with Henry." said Mother Superior.

"Ashley," said Emma, "if it's chaos out here then take Alexandria home and stay there until we sort things out."

Ashley nodded then headed off with her baby.

The group approached Granny's where they then saw Mary Margaret, David, Ruby, Granny, all hugging each other one at a time in being reunited after the restoration of their memories.

Then the Seven Dwarfs walked up behind them.

"Your highness!" said Leroy acknowledging his Princess's Royal presence.

He and his six brothers then bowed in respect.

When they stood back up from their bow, they all gave Mary Margaret a big hug.

"The curse, it's broken?" asked Leroy.

"It appears so." said David Nolan.

"So what do we do now?" asked Red Riding Hood.

With a smile on Mary Margaret's face that the curse was broken, she took a deep breath in and then let it out.

"Now, I go find my daughter."

"So it's true?" said Emma from behind their back. "You really are my parents."

Harry, Hermione and Ron were still trying to wrap their heads around the idea. While they understood that the curse had frozen everyone in time so that they did not age, it was still weird that Emma more or less was the same age as her parents.

But Snow White didn't see it that way. As the modern-day Mary Margaret looked at her daughter with awe! Though Mary Margaret had been living with Emma for the past 6 months and they had talked and spent hundreds of moments together, by the point of view of Mary Margaret it was like waking up from a dream, a dream where Emma was just a random arbitrary character in that dream. But with the curse lifted and her memories restored and the 'figurative dream' ended, she looked at Emma with new eyes. As though she was seeing her for the first time, now knowing who she is.

Mary Margaret slowly approached Emma with her hands outstretched, afraid on some level like Emma might just be a hallucination, and she carefully cradled both of Emma's cheeks in her hands. The tactile touch making the physical reality of Emma's presence and identity as her daughter more real.

Mary Margaret then hugged Emma with a tear rolling down from her eye.

"You found us!" said Mary Margaret with relief, joy and disbelief.

David also joined in with the hug.

"Grandpa?" asked Henry as he looked at David.

"Yeah," said David with a smile, "it seems so kid." and he put an arm around him.

"Henry!" said Mary Margaret as she then embraced him. "The last time I saw you you died on a hospital bed!"

"She did it." said Henry. "She saved you."

"She saved all of us!" said Mary Margaret turning her head toward her friends.

"Well…I…?" Emma seemed a little lost for words as she was still trying to wrap her head around everything that has happened as she had only just become a Believer a few hours ago.

Before she was a believer, she accepted with 100% belief without a doubt in her mind that the world that she lived in was a normal world that was,...well…NORMAL! That she lived in a world of science, where both nature and the universe was governed by the laws of physics, a world where one plus one equals two. Not a world where witches and wizards lived in secret from Muggles and fairy tale creatures and characters from alternate realities lived in cursed towns. And most certainly not that she for all intent and purposes was royalty from birth by a prince and a princess from a story book world.

She felt like a formerly religious person who had just lost her faith with an extraordinary revelation that disproved everything she believed in and now she was stumbling around trying to find who she was again.

Hermione and Harry felt that way. Though they had accepted their magical Destiny more willingly than Emma was right now.

When Hermione had gotten her Hogwarts letter, though she had loved her school and the school work that she did, she looked at going to Hogwarts as an educational opportunity that she couldn't pass up, after a Ministry official explained to her parents about the nature of wizards and magic in the country.

Harry, he merely leapt at the chance to move out of the Dursleys house. Though he also bonded very well and quickly with Hagrid and had always felt on some level with the Dursleys that he was not normal.

"So what was that smoke?" asked the dwarf Happy.

"It was magic." said Hermione Granger.

That was when Grumpy became suspicious.

"Who are they?" he asked with suspicion, not recognizing them from either the town or the Enchanted forest.

"We're from out of town." said Harry Potter. "We represent a magical government in this world. We just got in last night."

"I don't trust them." said Grumpy.

"I do." said Emma. "So trust me Leroy."

"Hey," said Grumpy, "I know from my memories of Leroy that if the government of this world figured out what the people of this town are, we'll all end up in science labs or something."

"Well, that's why we represent a magical government." said Ron Weasley. "And just for the record we have not reported what has happened yet."

"The magical government of this world, at least in this country," said Hermione, "is that they suspected something was going on within this area. That's why they sent us. We will compile all of our information before we send a report."

"But why was that smoke sent?" asked the dwarf Bashful.

"In order to restore magic to this world." said Mother Superior.

"But who did it?" asked the dwarf Sneezy.

"I think I know who it is." said Grumpy. "Regina, her royal Majesty the Evil Queen."

"No," said Emma, "I don't think it was Regina. It was Mr Gold."

"Rumpelstiltskin!" said the dwarf Sleepy.

"Then we'll find him." said Emma and she started walking off. Expecting everyone to follow her.

It was another 5 minutes of walking down the street in the direction of Mr. Gold's shop.

Mary Margaret then interrupted Emma.

"Emma," said Mary Margaret. "Can we talk?"

"What do you mean?" asked Emma.

"Emma, I really want to have a conversation." said Mary Margaret with emotion. "The last memories I have of the Enchanted Forest is sending you through the enchanted cabinet in order to save you from the curse. So if it's all the same to you Emma, now that I've found you I really want to talk!"

"I agree." said Emma. "Just maybe with a glass of wine, or maybe a couple of bottles." she said in a state of emotional confusion. "Just right now I want to try and find Mr. Gold and find out why he betrayed us."

"Damn it Emma, talk to me!" said Mary Margaret and she stepped in front of her. "I may have been under a curse until just now but I have waited 28 years to meet you again after I gave birth to you and carried you! Now talk to me!"

It was then that Emma finally gave Mary Margaret her undivided attention.

"Yes Mary Margaret!" said Emma with strong emotion in her voice! "I have waited for this moment my entire life! I wondered who my parents really were! I've wondered how this moment in my life would actually happen! I have concocted with my imagination a thousand possible scenarios. But never, in a million years did I concoct this particular scenario; that my biological parents are Snow White and Prince Charming from a fairytale universe!"

"I believe it's called the Enchanted Forest." said Ron.

"Semantics!" reprimanded Emma impatiently. "SO WITH ALL DO RESPECT YOUR ROYAL HIGHNESS MY PARENTS, I NEED A FEW MOMENTS TO PROCESS THIS!" she shouted at the top of her lungs.

"Okay, fine." said Mary Margaret trying to be understanding. "Then let me talk to you right here right now in this moment not as your long lost mother, but rather as your roommate."

It was then that Mary Margaret put her arms around her one more time.

"Right here right now, we are not mother and daughter, we are sisters as roommates."

Emma paused for a moment and then put her arms around Mary Margaret also.

"As much as I understand your position Emma, and I do," said Mary Margaret with understanding, "I need you to understand my position. I put you through a magical wardrobe in order to save you from the curse so that you could save all of us right here right now, and you have."

"I know." said Emma, a little calmer after her tantrum. "I'm just still processing all of this, that's all." Emma said with understanding.

It was then at that moment that Jiminy Cricket began running towards them while another crowd of people were running off in another direction.

"Prince Charming, Snow White, Sheriff, we have a crisis!" said Archie who was holding his umbrella.

"Dr. Hopper." said Emma.

"It's Dr. Whale! He's rallied everyone into a frenzy. They're all heading for Regina's house. They're going to kill her!"

"Great!" said Grumpy. "Let's watch."

"No," said Dr. Hopper. "No matter what she has done, this is wrong!"

"I agree." said Henry. "She's still my mom!"

"And I agree." said David. "And Blue Fairy is right. If magic really has returned to Storybrooke, then the entire angry mob could be running into a slaughter."

"Not if they were on equal footing." said Harry as he had pulled out his wand.

And then Hermione and Ron also pulled out their wands.

"All right." said Emma, "I will exercise my authority against this angry mob as Sheriff, but that's it."

Emma then pulled out her 9 mm firearm.

"This is going to be fun." said Ron with a maniacal smile. "It's been a few years since the war and I haven't put a spell on a dark witch in a while. I kind of miss the thrill of it."

And they all started running towards Regina's house.

They were a few Paces behind the mob so the mob had been there for about a minute before they arrived. And apparently they were pinning Regina up against the house and apparently she was powerless.

"Hey!" shouted Emma, while she threatened with her gun as well as flashed her police badge. "Hey let her go!"

Dr. Whale was holding her by the neck in a tight grip.

"Relashio!" shouted Hermione pointing her wand.

Instantly Dr. Whale was magically moved away from Regina and found it physically impossible to hold her.

Dr Whale then looked at hermione.

"Witch!" he accused in a derogatory insulting tone of voice.

"Why should we listen to you?" said the crowd to Emma Swan.

"Because she saved you." Said David who stepped in front and the people showed a little bit more respect for. "Correction," he said, "because she saved all of you. She broke the curse."

"And no matter what Regina did it does not justify this!" said Mary Margaret.

"We are not murderers here."

"Well, we are not from this world."

"Yeah well, you're in it now."

"Okay whale we're done."

"Back off!" Said whale as he looked David in the eye. "You're not my prince!"

"Oh," said david, "I'm not your prince you say."

It was then that David scrutinized Dr. Whale with a critical eye and a look of confusion.

"Just who are you Dr. Whale?" asked David seriously. "What Storybook character?"

"That's my business." said Dr. Whale.

"Well, my business is making sure that this town doesn't go to hell under the confusion of the breaking of the curse. Which you should be thankful to my daughter for right now, doctor."

"And Regina's death," said Mary Margaret as she stepped in front and raised her hands up to hold everyone off, "will not solve anything. She needs to be locked up. For her safety. And, more importantly for yours."

Regina had been taken to the Sheriff's Station.

While Mary Margaret dropped Henry off at her apartment along with harry, ron, and Hermione.

"Keep Henry safe." said Emma.

And then she walked out the door.

So it was just the four of them. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Henry.

"So, what has happened with the three of you?" asked Henry. "How exactly did you end up here?"

"Well, We're British. We serve a government called the Ministry of magic. But at present we are working for the American magical government called the Magical Congress of America. And we have come here to investigate storybrook. It went relatively unnoticed by the Magical Congress for the past 28 years but only recently in the past year has it been more noticeable."

"It's the curse." Said Henry. "It kept Storybrook hidden from your, 'Magical Congress'. However, ever since my mom arrived here several months ago, the curse has been weakening. Probably allowing your Magical Congress to detect that it's here. After the breaking of the curse and the purple smoke we might for all intent and purposes be a shining Beacon."

"Well, that is what we are here to determine."

"So what has happened." asked Henry.

"Well Henry, we are here as part of an exchange program between the Ministry of magic of Great Britain and the Magical Congress of America. We were recently involved in a recent wizard War."

"A wizard war?"

"Yes. The war went more or less unnoticed to the muggles. They were oblivious to it."

"Muggles?"

"Non-magical people."

"Let me put it the way my friend Hagrid told me when he first plucked me from the non-magical world and brought me to the wizard world." said Harry. "Not all wizards are good."

Henry got a foreboding feeling when Harry had said that.

"Some of them go bad! A many years ago, there was one wizard who went just about as bad as you can go. And his name was…Voldemort!"

"Voldemort?" asked Henry.

"Lord voldemort. The dark lord. The most powerful dark wizard in 500 years. Matched only by the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald in the last hundred years."

"What was so bad about Lord Voldemort?" Asked henry.

"Putting it simply," said Harry, "he was an unfeeling psychopath. He had an insatiable desire for power. And he wanted to destroy, me."

"What was so special about you?" asked Henry.

"There was a prophecy that was made that I would be the one to destroy him. And eventually I did. He targeted me and my family so that he could try and prevent the prophecy from coming true, ultimately his actions only resulted in the prophecy coming true."

"Almost as though it was written to destiny." said Henry.

That's when Henry pulled out his story book.

"I've seen that before." said Harry.

"Me too." said Ron. "Your grandmother read it to you while you were cursed."

"I know." said Henry. "I heard her."

"Can I see that?" asked Hermione.

"Sure." said Henry as he handed the book to Hermione.

Hermione then immediately started on the front page and began reading one page after another in quick succession.

"Well, Mr. Gold informed us that this world is a storybook universe as well."

That is when Harry presented the seven book Harry Potter series to Henry.

Henry then took the first book and started reading quickly one page after another.

"I don't suppose we can get something to eat around here?" asked Ron.

"There's some Kraft dinner in the cupboard." said Henry while he was turning the page on the book.

Ron found the box of Kraft dinner but seemed confused.

"Okay," said Ron, "how do I make it?"

"You don't know how to make Kraft dinner?" asked Henry.

"I don't even know what it is?" said Ron.

"Oh Ronald Weasley." said Hermione Granger in exasperation as she put down the story book for a minute. "Let me do it."

Henry watched as Hermione started waving her wand in a continuous steady circular motion.

A metal pot came out of the cupboard and quickly filled with water that was magically conjured out of thin air. Within seconds the water began to boil and steam. While simultaneously the Box of Kraft dinner opened and out came all of the hard dry pasta noodles of macaroni. They all went into the water. Where the water continued to boil for about a minute where then Hermione made all of the water evaporate leaving nothing but the pot and the fully cooked noodles inside. Hermione added a little bit of milk and butter, where then the powdered cheese entered into the pot and quickly stirred while she continued to wave her wand in a continuous steady movement. Out of the pot then came all of the macaroni in four equal servings into four bowls that magically levitated out of the cupboard with four spoons. And each bowl with its serving set down in front of each person in the room.

"Learn to do that Ronald Weasley." reprimanded his fiance.

Henry looked at the serving of macaroni and cheese in front of him with astonishment.

"That is the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life." said Henry was excitement.
