When Harry wakes again it's to an empty room. He thinks that the visit from the Malfoy's must have been in his head if it wasn't for the clearly handmade blanket draped over the hospital issued cover. It's soft and warm and reminds Harry of something that he can't quite place as he tries to fully wake from what is probably the best sleep he's gotten since leaving school. It takes a few moments but then reality hits him hard.

Harry scrambles up to get off the bed. He's very careful as he does not want a repeat of what happened the first time he woke. The echoes of the pain still haunts his bones and makes his chest ache in remembered pain. Once he's down on two feet, there is a knock on the door. Harry doesn't muster up an answer quick enough before the door creaks open and Emerson is peaking her head in.

"You're awake again. Good." She enters fully with another person pushing a covered tray on a cart. The second man leaves and Emerson pulls up a chair next to where Harry is holding himself up with the bed. "I brought you some more potions to take. They can make your tummy feel a bit icky if you don't eat so I brought a small snack. The snack turns out to be a cup of fruit and yogurt. Harry can only manage a few bites before he starts to feel full and pushes the dishes away.

"Can you manage a few more bites? No?" Emerson hands Harry a vial with navy liquid swirling in it. "Okay here take this. It won't taste the best but it will help you feel better." Harry takes small sips of the disgusting potion but each swallow makes him feel more and more sick. He places it back on the cart.

"I-I can't. My stomach hurts."

"I wasn't sure if you had eaten enough. Okay, I want you to rest and we can try the others later." She loads everything onto the tray and makes sure Harry is settled comfortably in bed after helping him use the toilet. Harry is still blushing when she asks one final question.

"Is there anything else you need from me?"

"Can you find my trunk, please?" Harry asks in hope that someone took it as he was taken away. His relatives would surely burn the entire thing if Harry wasn't there to protect it.

"I think someone was sent to retrieve your things shortly after you got admitted. Let me go check on that." Emerson leaves out the part where the Malfoys went straight to the authorities after their visit with Harry. Both his aunt and uncle are currently sitting in a wizarding holding cell with their child in muggle custody until someone else could come from him. Of course none of this is her business and exactly what those people deserve after almost beating an innocent child to death. Harry's things were quickly gathered and given to the family. She only had to pen a quick letter relaying Harry's request and it should arrive within the hour. The Malfoy's were advised not to come back until the next day to give Harry some time to adjust but the healer had promised to keep a close eye on him and update them with every detail of his treatment.

Just as she thought, Lucius sent the shrunken trunk with one of his signature owls. Harry is dozing when she enters and sets it at the foot of the bed. Harry thanks her profusely when he sees his meager belongings being delivered. The moment she leaves Harry is once again off of the bed and digging through the clothes and books haphazardly throwing things until he reaches the bottom where his four most prized possessions rested; his photo album, wand, invisibility cloak and last but not least his baby blanket. Harry hasn't spent a night without in since he could remember. At his relatives house he would wrap up as best he could before Dudley discovered it and he had to start hiding it so that the bigger boy wouldn't steal it. At school it remained hidden among his other blankets where it thankfully wasn't discovered. Now that it along with his other things are safe with him, Harry can fully rest knowing that he has time before he has to worry about what his relatives will do as punishment for getting himself taken to a magical hospital of all places.

The next time Harry wakes its to Draco's excited whispers to his mom. He groans and tries to turns away from the pair before discovering something is very wrong.

"Give that back!" he shouts at the boy holding his blanket. "That's mine!" He lunges at him trying to grab the blanket but misjudges the distance between the two as Draco takes a step back. Harry crashes right to the floor landing on his broken arm with a sickening crunch.

Everyone freezes.

"Oh honey," Narcissa tries to assess her child while giving her husband a pointed look to go find the healer.

"Get out," Harry whispers.

"Excuse me,"

"Get out! Don't touch me! Leave! Get out!" Harry screams until the remaining Malfoys leave. It's only then that he burst into heart-wrenching pain-filled sobs. He doesn't know how long he cries. Harry cries as the healer eventually lifts him off the floor. He cries as she spells the cast off his arm to assess the damage. He cries harder as she calls in a few more healers to help reset the bone. They file in with Lady Malfoy trailing them, the reason for this all starting held in her hands.

"This is going to be very painful because we can't administer any more pain potion as he just had a dose. Hold him steady as the team works and we'll have him settled in no time."

Harry doesn't hear what Narcissa mumbles before she carefully lifts him into her lap and drapes the blanket over his back.

"Did you know most magical baby blankets have a built in charm to them?" Narcissa tries to capture his attention. "They're meant to stay with a child for as long as possible so as the baby grows so can the blanket." Suddenly the blanket goes from draped over his shoulders to wrapped completely around the child. Harry immediately lights up thinking of all of the times he wished for the garment to be a lot bigger to better keep him warm. Bringing the blanket close to his face with his good hand he realizes that it still has its familiar scent. With a sigh, Harry finally starts calming down only to scream as his bad arm is realigned and placed in a new cast but allows Narcissa to comfort him once it's all over.

"I am so sorry, Harry. Are you okay? I'm so sorry," Draco comes rushing in with a million apologies and tears streaming down his face. He hops onto the bed and all but places Harry in his own lap. This surprises Harry as he thought the child might enter with a forced apology paired with a thinly veiled insult. At the very least he thought Malfoy would comment on him screaming about a baby blanket or cuddling with his mother.

"I-it's fine." Harry answers while trying to wiggle away. Thankfully Narcissa saves him by declaring nap time, but instead of letting Harry lay down or even laying with him she arranges first Draco in bed then Harry right next to him before laying down herself. Even Mr. Malfoy sets a chair next to Draco's side of the bed and the parents hold hands on top of their snoozing children.

Harry has never felt more whole.
