Lockdown headed out once he had warned the young Prime that Lockdown would be back after taking care of whatever was going down. Optimus just glared at the bot, as there was little else he could do. Once the foul mercenary left, Optimus struggled yet again to break free, but it was nigh impossible. This Lockdown bot seemed to know exactly how to restrain his prisoners for however long he needed them restrained.
However, once Lockdown was gone, another bot appeared on scene – Lancex. Optimus was thrilled to see the bot, for more than one reason. He blushed as Lancex set the Prime free but Lancex didn't notice. Lancex took out his unusual sword, whispered something to it before cutting through the restrainints that bound Optimus. Weaker than usual and off balance, Optimus started to fall upon being released, though Lancex soon caught him. Optimus blushed further at that while his normally steady spark pulse raced, though his red coloration seemed to hide most of his flushed coloration.
Ignoring the strange feeling he was experiencing while near the powerful Prime, Lancex made his way out of the mercenary's base with Prime leaning on the bot for stability. Thankfully, they were able to make it out safely and once outside, Optimsu had regained his strength and was able to move on his own.
Both came out and found that Ratchet, Bee, Bulkhead, and Prowl had managed to capture the merciless mercenary. Optimus, stunned, asked how this had been accomplished. Ratchet, being the bot he was, gave an answer of exactly what Lancex's plan had been. Optimus was surprised though he didn't let it show. Ratchet approached the mercenary and not only ripped off the EMP generator that Lockdown had pilfered, but also the energon axe that Lockdown had taken off Prime.
At that the group walked off, leaving Lockdown tied up, figuring the cons would come for him and take care of the bot. Optimus asked if Lancex would care to come to the Autobot base. Lancex wasn't completely sure about that, but remembering about Grimlock on the island, Lancex figured he could at least visit the Autobot base. "You should at least get a check up" Optimus said, grabbing Lancex's hand as if it was the most natural thing in the world. Lancex nodded and the troop headed back. There was still much work to be done.
