In Halliwell Manor Piper and Leo were sitting at the dining room table, along with Cordelia and Xander. Cordelia's orbing prowess now enabled them to be frequent visitors at the Manor. Piper slid a sheet of paper over to Leo.

"Do I really need to think about this now?" Leo asked, clearly uncomfortable with the topic of conversation.

"Yes." Piper insisted.

"Why?" Leo knew he was being stubborn, but he didn't like this at all. And for good reason.

"Because the Source has already killed one of us. And if god forbid it happens again we want to be prepared. You should be honoured that if we don't make it we're leaving you everything."

"The responsibility of guarding the Nexus, keeping Halliwell Manor in the family." Cordelia interjected. "It's called peace of mind, Leo. Piper and Phoebe need to make sure someone they trust is watching over everything."

"It's also a big reminder that he's going to outlive you guys." Xander pointed out. "And he's clearly struggling with that. Maybe ease back a little, Piper and give him a little time to get used to the idea."

"What makes you think I'm gonna outlive you anyway?" Leo grumbled.

"Leo, you're an angel, literally. Which means short of a Darklighter, you win most likely to survive." Piper retorted.

"Oh! Speaking of surviving, Source bulletin, this just in." Phoebe said excitedly as she raced in and Cole followed more leisurely, smiling at her enthusiasm. Phoebe held up a piece of paper.

"Cole and I figured out how to overcome all the powers Cole says the Source has stolen from other demons." She waved the paper in the air.

"Honey, just sign the freakin' thing." Piper said impatiently as Cole whistled. "What?" She glared, slightly annoyed at him, he was only about a foot away from her and that was loud and shrill.

"Phoebe has something she'd like to say that actually might affect what you're doing here." Cole answered, smirking slightly, he liked winding Piper up, it was kinda like having a sister. If he'd ever had a sister, that is.

"Thank you, honey. We nailed the Source vanquishing spell." She handed Piper the piece of paper. "Our ancestors. That's what we were missing. Three hundred plus years of power to offset the power he's spent centuries accumulating. If we could draw the Magic from the entire Halliwell line, it should compensate for the wide variety of powers he has."

"This is good! This might work." Piper read through the spell, inwardly winching a little when she saw Prue, Mom and Grams' names listed.

"I'll go tell the Elders." Leo orbed out.

"Hey! You did not sign this!" Piper dropped the spell on the table and grabbed the paperwork and waved it upwards towards Leo.

"Oh, honey, are you still on that last will and testament kick? I gotta tell you, it's very, very morbid." Phoebe shuddered slightly.

"No, it's very, very responsible. Prue did it and thank god she did, 'cause if she didn't we'd still be dealing with lawyers. No offense." She added to Cole.

"Oh, none taken. I've come to terms with my evil past." Xander snorted remembering how adamant Cole had been that he hadn't been evil enough to work for Wolfram and Hart.

"No, I know what you're saying but I have a really good feeling about this, okay? No one is gonna die any time soon." Phoebe insisted, picking up the spell.

"Can I see that?" Cordelia asked and Phoebe handed it to her. Cordelia abruptly jerked as a premonition hit her.

"So freaking weird that you get premonitions too." Phoebe eyed her youngest sister. "The prophecy said each Charmed One would have one of Melinda Warren's powers, telekinesis like Prue had being one of them. Which no Charmed One currently has."

"But I'm half whitelighter, so things are going to work differently for me." Cordelia reached for Piper's pen and flipped over one of her legal documents.

"Hey, what you are doing?" Piper protested.

"I saw an image, like a really gaudy necklace. I have no idea who's wearing it, I couldn't see a face, but the clothes were weird. Really not fashion conscious." She drew a picture on the back of the paper. "It had swirling lines etched into it. Whatever it is, it must be important." She showed the drawing to the others.

"Well, let's check the Book of Shadows and see if there's something in there." Piper suggested, getting up from the table and heading for the stairs.

"If there's not," Xander stood up to follow the others. "there's always the resources we have copies of from the Watchers Council. The Legacy Foundation petitioned to have copies given to every demon hunting organization unofficially recognized by various governments regarding the demons the Council had catalogued over the centuries. There may be something in there about it. Any sense of it's age?" He asked Cordelia.

"It looked worn in places, so maybe old. Best I can do."

"Does it look familiar to you, Cole?" Xander asked, studying the image himself before passing it over to Cole, who took the time to study it himself before shaking his head.

"No, Belthazor didn't have much to do with magical artifacts and such. I'm kinda assuming it's magical, given the premonition and all."

"Probably a safe bet." Xander agreed. "You guys have a portable fax, right?"

"Prue did." Piper answered. "It's in her old room."

"Is it okay if I use it to fax a copy to Cordy's dad? He can get his research minions started on researching."

Piper hesitated for a moment, no one had been in Prue's room since she died. She nodded jerkily and concentrated on searching the Book. Identifying that necklace had to come first, she'd deal with the wave of grief that washed through her later. The necklace could be related to the Source after all.
