Chapter 12: A Tears of a Father & Friend

12:20 AM

Kuroko, Kikyou, and Misaki got off the building by climbing down the ladder and running in the direction of the sirens.

"I wonder what's going on over there?" Kuroko asked.

"Not sure, but, something tells me it can't be good," Misaki guessed.

Kikyou then stopped and saw more police cars drive down the road. "Looks like we're about to find out soon."

Outside on the road in a nearby alleyway.

Aiho was in her vehicle with Last Order, Saten, and Uiharu.

Uiharu had her tablet on and had the channel where the news was broadcasting the incident at the hospital. "So far, the police are surrounding the area."

"This won't be easy," Saten added.

Last Order was looking out the window. "Gee, there are so many police cars outside exclaims Misaka Misaka counting the number of police."

Aiho had other thoughts. "Getting through the parking lot will be more difficult than I'd thought. We can't use the Misaka Network because the hospital needs power for patients. We'll just have to wait for the right moment."

Kanzaki was on top of the hospital roof. "Quite the scenery here." She was looking down at the parking lot. "There has to be 20 agents here or more." She felt her cell phone ring. "Hello, Kanzaki speaking."

"Kanzaki, it's me, Tsuchimikado." The magician Esper hybrid replied. "It seems our situation has gotten a little complicated. Minene the terrorist and better known as 9th is here. Not sure what she's up to, but, probably going to do what she did back at the middle school Yuki and Yuno went to."

Kanzaki had a bad feeling this would happen. "I see, is she also here for Touma too?"

"Frankly, she's still pissed off about the kiss he gave her. Besides that, she's teamed up with Kurusu for now at least." Motoharu replied. "Either way, we can assume she's got an idea to get Kurusu to back off. However, I don't what is it though Touma and Itsuwa are probably getting the details now."

"I see, well, I suppose we'll just have to keep an eye out. Although, I get the feeling Kurusu will make his move sooner than later." Kanzaki presumed.

Motoharu was thinking the same thing. "I agree, keep an eye out for Orsola, she'll be here soon."

Misaka was on top of the storage shed that Yuki and Yuno were on. "Damn it, is that idiot and that other girl doing okay?" She felt her cell phone vibrate. "Who is it this time?" She took out her cell phone and activated the reply button. "Hello."

"Zapper, it's me."

Misaka's head had anime veins on her head. "Hey, it's Misaka, you idiot!" She retorted but quickly shut her mouth so as not to get heard by the police. "Anyway, what is going in there now?" Touma began to explain what just happened inside. "Say what, that terrorist woman is there and holding Kurusu's family hostage!?"

"Yeah, but, something tells me that won't work even if Kurusu knows that his family is in danger, I doubt it won't get the chief to back off," Touma replied.

Misaka had to admit her crush had a good point. "Once I agree, we can assume that her plan will be for nothing and that Kurusu will just send his men inside." She gripped her phone a little tight. "Either way, we can't just let Kurusu's family get caught in the crossfire."

"Yes, no doubt that Orsola will be here soon, though, she'll need someone to meet up with her. So, do you think you can create a distraction if Kurusu has his men make their move?" Touma inquired.

6/13 12:32 AM Sakurami City Municipal Hospital

Just as the police started to make announcements through the speakers just as Kuroko and her team arrived at the scene squeezing through the crowd.

"Currently three terrorists are occupying Sakurami Hospital! Authorized police officers only, please!

"Terrorists...taking over the hospital..."

"Three terrorists...of them."

Kuroko wasted no time. "Officer, over here!" She waved to a patrol officer getting his attention. "What is going on here, who are the terrorists?"

"Sorry kid, that's only for police to know." The officer replied. "So, go home, this isn't a place for kids."

Kuroko gritted her teeth in annoyance. "Kid am I?"

Misaki let out a light chuckle. "Excuse me." She gave the officer a seductive smile carefully taking out a remote out of her bag which was the Category 011 television remorte. "Could you be a sweetheart and give us a little information on who the terrorists are?"

The officer had a blank expression. "Yes, the terrorists are three people. One is Minene Uyuru a bomb terrorist and the other two are teenagers. We also learned from the chief that someone named Touma is part of it."

Kuroko and Misaki gasped in shock. "Touma Kamijou...the boy that sissy is hanging out with!?"

Misaki was shocked but didn't show it. "Thank you, that's all for now."

Uiharu continued to look at her tablet. "So far things look like could get out of control."

"That's for sure." Saten thought then she saw a familiar face, two more familiar faces. "Uiharu, look there in the crowd!" She pointed at the crowd and saw three people squeezing through.

"Misaki, Kuroko!"

Aiho heard this and saw her friend. "Kikyou, what are..." Before she could get another word in, Saten quickly got out of the car with Uiharu leaving. "You two get back here!"

Saten and Uiharu quickly ran over to the crowd. "Kuroko! Misaki!"

Kuroko turned to the voices calling out from across the street. "Wait...those voices..." She smiled happily as she saw two of her schoolmates and ran over to them and hugged them.

Kikyou was stunned. "Thank goodness a few familiar faces but then...wait...if those two are here." Aiho was approaching her. "Kikyou, nice to see you."

Kikyou was relieved to see her friend. "Aiho, I'm glad that you're safe, where are the others?"

Aiho put her hand out. "I know this is a touching reunion, but, we have a big problem, I can't explain much. Although, I can tell you this so listen carefully."

Outside the parking lot, the Chief set up some equipment and a laptop. Kurusu was thinking about what Touma. "I won't let you frame my friends just so you can get to be God! If you want to fight, then bring it!" He was irritated but more annoyed. "Damn...why am I letting Kamijou's flowery speech BS get to me?"

"Excuse me..." Nishjima just approached him. "The squad team is off the truck."

"Good, have them get their asses inside the hospital!" Kurusu ordered bluntly.

Nishjima was a little surprised to hear that order. "Uhh...but there are patients inside there still and your son included." Kurusu gave the inspector a serious yet cold stare. "Do as you are told, do you understand?"

The inspector gave in and nodded but before he turned away he looked back at the chief. "Chief..." His boss looked more impatient than ever. "Are you certain that you were just showing Amano a gun? From where I stood, you look like you were about to shoot him."

The chief looked peeved at being asked a question like that even though it was true. "It doesn't matter, it's clear I was attacked without warning. So for now, do what you are ordered unless you want to work on trash detail?" The inspector reluctantly did what he was told and went to inform the squad.

B

Misaka was continuing her watch until she saw a familiar pig-tailed girl and a blonde teenager on the sidewalk. "Shirai, how is she..." She quickly took out her cell phone and made a call to her roommate.

Shirai halted her pace and took out her cell phone. "Kuroko, it's Misaka!"

"Sissy!" Kuroko cooed happily with a red blush on her cheeks. "How are you doing lately?"

"Never mind that how did you and Misaki get here, and is anyone else with you?" Misaka asked changing the subject.

"Well..."

Inside the room 413

Minene was tying Mrs. Kurusu in a rope. "You are going to negotiate with Kurusu?" Yukiteru inquired.

"Yes, I'll take his family hostage over the phone with 4th it should give us some time," Minene answered.

Itsuwa wasn't sure about this plan. "Even so, I'm not sure if Kurusu will go along with it." She then took a glance at the window. "Touma, everyone, I hope you guys have another plan to get past those squad teams."

Minene stood up. "Yukiteru and Itsuwa will be on patrol during the negotiation. Gasai, you will watch the hostages and keep in touch with Yukiteru."

"What about Touma and Tsuchimikado?" Yukiteru asked curiously.

"If they can manage to get a few squad members distracted then that should give us more time," Minene answered. "Anyway, these guys can't be killed since they're our trump cards."

The three teenagers were silent which Minene noticed with a rough smile. "Do you three have a complaint?"

Itsuwa didn't reply despite how much she disapproved of the other woman's plan.

Yuno looked away at Yuki. "No, as long as Yuki survives it's fine with me." Itsuwa was surprised to hear that from the stalker girl.

"What about you 1st?" Minene asked looking in Yukiteru's direction noticing his unsure look. "C'mon, grow some balls, if you don't go along with this, you'll be walking in a body bag."

"Well...I need a weapon or something..." The boy stuttered slightly and the terrorist took out her right hand and handed over a grenade surprising the boy. "A...a...bomb!?"

"It's a grenade. If you pull the pin and remove the level it will explode basically you have a few seconds to get away before that happens." Minene explained.

"I suppose let's get this started." Itsuwa took out her Friuli Spear and exited the room as Yukiteru followed.

Yukiteru stopped at the doorway and turned to look at Yuno. "Hey, Yuno...if we survive this...um..." He looked away as his stalker looked in the direction curiously. "I would like to take you...somewhere special, if that's okay with you?"

Yuno smiled. "Okay..." Itsuwa looked back and smiled seemingly happy for them. A part of her was a bit jealous hoping that she would have the same moment with Touma someday.

Kuroko was getting a horsey back ride on Misaka's back while her roommate was walking on the hospital's wall using her railgun ability. "Wow, sissy is giving me a ride!" She cried happily.

"Hush idiot, the police will hear you!" Misaka barked with shark teeth. "Man, I wasn't expecting Shirai and the others to be here. Although, we'll need the help we can get."

Kuroko was having a quick chat about her and her group's arrival.

"A Survival Game...Diaries...c'mon sissy, this is some kind of joke, right?" Kuroko questioned a little unconvinced.

Misaka had a serious expression. "You know I don't joke about something like this. Yukiteru and Yuno are Future Diary Users. So far, four have been eliminated."

"Well, this sounds like this trip will be quite the adventure." Misaki giggled.

Misaka groaned in annoyance. "Misaki, this isn't a game. Technically it is, but, not one like we were in our world. On top of that, we believe those creatures that were in those stasis pods are hiding somewhere in this world. We met one named Vivian who was so strong not even I couldn't defeat her." She looked at the three girls. "I know this is a lot to take, but, I must ask for your help. Right now, my friends and I trying to help prove our friends innocent and help the chief Kurusu's son who is terminally ill."

"I hope Touma's other friends have an idea to help Kurusu's son." Misaka thought looking worried.

M

At the police's camp set. "Chief, I'm sorry that I offended you. I just..." Nishjima stuttered hesitating.

"I won't repeat what I said...get the-" Kurusu abruptly paused as he heard his phone ring and held it in his right hand. "It's me..."

"Uryuu..."

"Yeah, I'm sure you know why I'm calling. I have a bargaining point. It's quite simple, you will commit suicide and prepare plans for our escape."

The police and Yuno waited for Kurusu's answer. "No happening..." Everyone wasn't expecting that answer, Yuno was afraid of this. "Damn it, he didn't take the bait."

Minene wasn't giving up on her offer. "Listen you stupid bastard, I will kill your son and wife if I have to!"

"Then he's dead anyway, he's suffering from his condition! No matter what I have to do, I will use this chance to win at any cost!" Kurusu declared with an insane look on his face. "So, I was going to let you go if you surrendered my family but now I will blast you through the skull! Also, if Touma and his friends interfere, I won't hesitate to kill them too!"

Nishjima overheard his boss's last words and his eyes widened with horror. "Chief..."

Minene held her phone with disgust and fury. "Crazy son of bitch..." She turned to Yuno. "Gasai, get the others informed of the situation right now!"

"I don't take orders from you, but, I will inform Yuki!" Yuno replied running out of the room.

"Squad team start the unstoppable rush!" Keigo commanded putting his cell phone in his pocket.

The squad team prepared themselves to get in the front door until one squad member attacked the others by whacking his team members with his rifle.

Keigo abruptly ran over to the squad. "Squad member, what the hell are you doing?" He then looked at the inspector. "Nishjima, get them to stop their meaningless squabble now!"

"Yes sir!" The inspector ran toward the fighting troops.

"Chief, care explain what this is about?" Aiho was in her police outfit and approaching Keigo.

The chief wasn't thrilled to see the female Antil Skill boss. "Yomikawa Aiho, what the hell are you doing here?"

"I heard of the situation and decided to offer my assistance," Aiho replied not flinching. "Listen, your family's safety should be our top priority, let me get them out and bring them outside."

Keigo glared at the woman. "I don't need your help Aiho, plus I'm aware of your friend's interference. So, I advise you to leave this area at once."

Nishjima wasn't going to take this anymore. "Chief, with all due respect, we need help getting your family out of there. So please, listen to her!"

Keigo was getting ticked off. "I will not hear any more of from inspector. So, I will have you stripped from your position!"

Nishjima couldn't believe what he just heard. "Chief, you don't..."

Aiho noticed some other troops were able to sneak in. Her eyes narrowed in concern. She turned around texting her cell phone. "Kikyou, contact Accelerator right away and have him get inside the hospital"

Kikyou was on the road and read the text she got from her friend. "Understood." She made a call to Accelerator. "Accelerator, this is Kikyou."

"What, how are you here?" Accelerator asked a hint of surprise in his voice.

"Never mind that a few squad troops were able to sneak into the hospital. Your job is to fight them but don't kill them."

Accelerator smirked. "A little action." He thought. "Alright, but, if they do anything to hurt Last Order, I might have to reconsider not going easy on them."

Yuno was explaining the situation to Yukiteru and Itsuwa.

"I figured this would happen," Itsuwa said a little freaked out.

Yukiteru looked at his cell phone entry. Squad troops will pin down Yuki. Kurusu will be on his way inside in a few minutes" He looked at both hallways. "Nobody is here for now, we still have to escape."

"Assholes don't move!" Three squad members came rushing at them from both sides.

Itsuwa held up Fruili Spear and slashed through the soldiers on the left in a split second. "Sorry...I won't let you guys hurt my friends."

Of the remaining soldiers that were charging from the right hallway, one was knocked down by Tsuchimikado. "Take that." He quickly delivered a low blow into the squad member's crotch area causing him to lay down on the ground in pain.

"Argh!" Touma threw his punch at the remaining soldier's cheek sending him rolling across the floor.

"Wow, they're awesome." Yukiteru praised in astonishment.

Yuno felt somewhat jealous, but, before she could do anything one of the squad soldiers began to regain consciousness and try to grab Yukiteru from behind. Yuno took out her gun and shot the soldier in the leg causing him to fall over in pain.

"Yukki, are you okay?" Yuno asked.

"I-I'm fine...thanks..." Yukiteru stuttered a little. "What is going on?"

"The negotiations didn't go as planned," Itsuwa informed. "Kurusu intends to win the game by himself even if he has to sacrifice his family to do it."

Touma was speechless with disbelief on his face.

Tsuchimikado didn't look surprised. "I should've expected this would happen." The others looked at him except for Touma. "It's just like what Minene said, you know what drives a man to betray his friends."

"So, what do we do now?" Yukiteru asked a little scared.

Tsuchimikado had that answer already. "We go with the plan. Orsola should be here soon." He then looked at the room 413. "As for Kurusu's family. I suggest we get them out of here and fast."

"Wait, Kurusu is on his way here and he'll notice us." Touma interrupted.

"That's why we need three people to distract him. Yuno, Yuki, and Touma you three will be the ones facing him. I'm sure you have a lot to say to him and that said, we need you three to distract him from the room his family is in." Tsuchimikado explained. "So, Itsuwa, you will be with me, we'll convince Minene to let us handle Kurusu's family."

Yukiteru was thinking this over for a second. "At this point, we might have not a choice. As long as we can get Kurusu's family away from the crossfire then we have to accept this." He then looked at Yuno. "Yuno, let's go face Kurusu, with our diversion, we'll keep his family out of danger."

Yuno looked at her crush for a minute and smiled. "Very well."

"Same here..." Touma said raising his right fist.

With the agreement done, Tsuchimikado and Itsuwa returned to room 413 while their friends went off to confront Keigo.

Tsuchimikado and Itsuwa explained the next plan to Minene.

The terrorist just scoffed. "Do you think you can honestly get these two out of here? Even if that 1st, 2nd, and that Kamijou brat distract 4th, they won't last long against that old bastard!"

Itsuwa approached the older woman with a serious look on her face. "Listen here, they'll make it out alive, especially Touma. You don't realize how strong he is and determined he can be especially when he faces an enemy head-on!" Minene didn't say a word as she saw the look in the girl's eyes. "Fine, do what you brats want, but, don't think this makes us friends. Someday, I'll make your little boyfriend pay for humiliating me."

Tsuchimikado chuckled lightly which the terrorist woman heard and gave him a sneer. "I wouldn't do that. He's got ties with Kaori Kanzaki." The terrorist lady's eyebrow rose in confusion. "She's a woman who's greatly respected by her friends, especially Touma. However, if you do something to piss her then there will be hell to pay." Minene narrowed her eyes at the blond teenage boy. "I suggest you take my word for it. If not, then you won't be around to blow anything else up."

Minene clicked her tongue in annoyance despite her being taken off guard by the warning. "Fine..." She grumbled.

In the first floor.

Accelerator was taking out a several more squad members. "Geez, can these bastards be more formidable?" He growled clearly bored. "I wonder where the old chief geezer is?" He looked around the hallway. "The old man must've found another way inside."

Misaka and Kuroko landed in the center of the hospital's open center. "Looks like the area is clear," Misaka said.

"Yeah, but, I have a feeling it won't be for long," Kuroko added. "We should go find that monkey and his friends."

They came across the door that was locked. "Damn it, talk about a pain in the ass." Misaka put her hand out gathering black sand from the nearby ground that had grass and plants taking the shape of a black sword. "Take this!" The door was slashed in half.

"Let's hope we don't have to pay for that." Kuroko thought though the chances of that happening were quite high. "Though, for now, we can wait here until those come out with Kurusu's family."

"Yeah, but, will they get here in time?" Misaka thought as she shook her head. "No...I know Kamijou and his friends will get Kurusu's family out."

Yuki, Yuno, and Touma were running down the hallway. "I wonder if Kurusu is on his way still."

Yuno heard her Diary make static sounds. "Kurusu will confront Yuki and friends in 25 seconds" She looked ahead and saw Kurusu running at them.

"Stop there!" Kurusu demanded.

Touma rushed at the chief recklessly. "This stops now!" He declared throwing his right fist.

"You got guts..." Kurusu prepared to take out his pistol using his left hand.

Yuno saw this and shot the chief in the leg but the man quickly saw it coming and evaded it. However, it was because of the distraction that Touma was able to slam his fist right into the chief's chest.

The fourth diary holder took a few steps away holding his chest with his right hand in pain. "Damn it..." He glared at Touma. "Yuno distracted me which gave Kamijou an opening, not bad."

Yukiteru pointed his gun at the chief. "Kurusu, please stop this. I know you don't want to do this!"

"Sorry kid, but, if you think talking to me is going to get me to back down from this then you'll be severely mistaken," Kurusu said recovering from the impact of Touma's fist. "I have to admit, your friends are quite formidable taking out the squad team. I never met kids like you."

"Is that supposed to be a compliment or something?" Touma questioned.

A rough chuckle was heard from Kurusu. "Maybe, but, at the moment I'm calling the shots here!" He pointed his gun at Touma making the teenage boy freeze on the spot. However, Touma remained calm a little so as not to give the chief a reason to fire his gun.

Orsola arrived only a few feet from the hospital. She got out of the taxi cab and found Index waiting for her. "Orsola!" The small nun waved her hand getting the other nun's attention.

"Index, I'm glad that you're safe, how are things going on now?" She asked.

"Things have gotten a little difficult now. Kurusu's men were stopped for a while, but, Kurusu was able to get inside." Index replied. "On top of that, Touma is still inside there."

"I see..." Orsola put her finger to her chin until she got a call from Tsuchimikado. "Orsola, are you here now?"

"Yes, I was already informed that Kurusu made it inside," Orsola replied. "What about you?"

"Hey, you!" Saten was walking over to the black outfit nun. "Orsola, you arrived on time!"

Uiharu and Kikyou were approaching the nun too. "Orsola, we have some news, three of our friends arrived."

Orsola noticed Kikyou. "I see, who else is here?"

Tsuchimikado was watching Itsuwa prepare a hospital cart with Minene. "Things are getting complicated now. To be it put simply, the negotiations didn't go well, but, for now, Itsuwa and I are helping Kurusu's family out of the hospital however I think moving Kurusu's son might become dangerous if he was disturbed."

Minene placed a bomb underneath the table as Itsuwa and Tsuchimikado left the room with Kurusu's family. "It's good to be prepared for the worst." She glanced at the doorway as the two teenager's words echoed in her mind.

"Kamijou will survive! You don't how strong and determined he can be whenever he faces an enemy!"

"Kaori Kanzaki is a greatly respected woman. If one of her friends like Touma was hurt in battle there would be hell to pay. So I suggest you take my word for it."

Minene felt irritated that she let a idol threat get to her. Though deep down she felt like the blonde teenager and the church girl weren't toying with her. "1st and 2nd have made some unusual friends." She then turned to see an image of her child self. "Crap, not this again." She then snuck out the window and landed down safely or so she thought.

Nishijima was right at the bottom and he turned the moment he heard the terrorist lady land behind him. "Hey...you!" The inspector exclaimed with bitterness on his face. He pounced on the terrorist woman and pin her to the ground. "I got you, you crazy woman!"

B

"Listen here, Yukiteru, I got your friend at close range!" Kurusu stated. "Make one wrong move and his brains will be blown out!"

Yukiteru was on edge. "Crap, I can't do anything without giving Kurusu a reason to fire his bullet." He knew of the plan to help Kurusu's family, however, he thought he shouldn't reveal it now so he would have to stall a little longer. "Listen to me Kurusu, I'm sorry about your son Yo. I can't imagine how you must be feeling, but, this isn't right."

Kurusu narrowed his eyes. "As sweet talking as that is, I won't back down from my chance to become God. My chances of winning is the only way of truly saving him."

Touma gritted his teeth. "So what, you decide to sell your friends just so you can't see your son suffer anymore?!" Kurusu looked in the high school boy's direction and looked offended, but before he could get a word in, Touma continued. "Don't you see selling out your friends is just as cruel as your son's suffering?"

Kurusu's body trembled with anger. "Even with your Diary, you won't be able to win this entire game on your own!"

"What the hell are you talking about, Kamijou?" Kurusu growled looking more pissed off.

"I've done stuff on my own including the battles I was in, but, I survived because I got help from my friends!" Touma declared looking down at the floor. "Sure, I wasn't the kind of guy that would ask for help most of the time. Still, I worked together with other people to survive the battles I fought!" He clenched his right hand and looked at it for a second until he looked back at Kurusu with a determined look on his face "So, if you think you'll be able to win on your own, then...that's just an illusion that you want to believe...but...I WILL SHATTER IT TO PIECES!"

Kurusu felt somewhat tense hearing that the boy's outburst.

Yukiteru and Yuno were astonished by the high school boy's speech.

Itsuwa and Tsuchimikado arrived in the hospital's open middle section area with Kurusm's family. "Looks like it's clear for now."

Misaka got a call from Saten. "Hey Misaka, Orsola has arrived on time. Have Kuroko use her teleportation to get Orsola to where you are now!"

"Right..." Misaka explained the situation to her roommate.

Kuroko was able to teleport Orsola to the location.

Orsola approached the sickly young boy. "So, this is Kurusu's son Yo." She looked at Mrs. Kurusu. "I'm truly sorry for your son's condition and the situation that you're caught in." She then took out a lotus wand. "It's time for the spell..." She held the wand with two of her hands as the spell circle began to emit from the ground. "I call upon the heavens of blessing...bring forth the ray of Hope of cure illnesses. So the illness burns melt like wax, cut like with an axe. All disabilities vanished as my word you see. Radiant health blessed thy on this poor soul!" A green light ray shot from the top of the lotus wand.

Nishijima and Minene were arguing about the situation until they saw the green light. "What is that?"

"Hold on, is that light coming from the center of the hospital?" Nishijima thought to himself.

Aiho approached the two adults but was looking at the green light. "Well, looks like hope will save the child." She mumbled her words that Minene and Nishjima didn't quite hear her. The Anti-Skill leader looked at them and smiled. "Now, let's get down to business."

Kurusu was taken in the words that left Touma's mouth for a few seconds until he looked very pissed off. "Screw your flowery speech Kamijou! You act like you know the world but it's not worth saving especially when this world is already dead! As for Yukiteru and Yuno, you act like you both are a happy couple but it's just a load of BS and you both know nothing of love!"

Touma wasn't done. "When you say screw the world, you mean screw everything including your only son...and you call yourself a father giving up so easily like a coward would do!" Kurusu was getting more pissed off than ever. "I will not listen to any more of your flowery speeches Kamijou!"

Yukiteru took out the gun he secretly snatched from one of the agents and shot the chief in the shoulder causing him to flinch in pain as he dropped his gun. He slowly began to walk toward the chief. "Yukki...are you okay?" Yuno asked.

"Yeah...I-" Yukiteru paused when he saw a photo sticking out of Yuno's pocket. "That photo is that..." His stalker took out the photo and looked at it. "Yes, I still kept it even if it was just pretend. It was the happiest thing that I had ever experienced."

"Yuno..." Yukiteru muttered feeling tears form in his eyes.

"Yukki...I know that I stalked you for a full year, but, even if I die, then you can live on and that's what I hope for at least." Yuno choked as tears fell down her cheeks. "I know I freaked you so many times, but, I still love you. But, if I die then that's fine, as long as you live..."

Yukiteru shook his head. "Idiot, I won't let you give up like that!" He took hold of Yuno's hands into his. "I will make you happy no matter what happens! I also promised to take you stargazing and someday we'll get married when we get older!"

Touma chuckled softly. "Same here, Yuno!" He smiled brightly at the stalker. "I might not be the romantic person, but, my friends and I will continue to fight by you and Yuki's side. We're friends after all and no matter what someone like Kurusu says! I won't give up and neither will my friends!"

Kurusu was getting more pissed off as he took out a knife. Touma rushed at him and slammed a punch right into the older man's cheek sending crashing on the floor with a loud thud.

After a few seconds of cringing in pain from the fall, Kurusu slowly stood up holding the knife in his hand. "Damn it...Kamijou...you will-"

"Chief!" Kurusu looked to see Nishijima, Aiho, and Minene.

"Looks like we made it in time," Minene said noticing that her bombs weren't activated.

Nishijima gave his chief a stern look. "I learned that Tsukishima Karyuudo's case and your plot to entrap these two was...plus you were planning to kill their friends since they intervened so they wouldn't say anything to the department."

"Do you take the words of a terrorist, Nishijima?" Kurusu asked not even worried.

"A badass one..." Minene held up her cell phone and played a recorded audio.

"I want to make a deal with you."

"A deal?"

"I won't come after you for a while. I will continue to feed you whatever the police have and make things easy for you."

"You got me..." Kurusu said realizing he was defeated. "So, how is my son?"

Aiho smiled with a soft chuckle. "He's doing fine..."

"What's with that smile?" Kurusu asked a little curious.

Tsuchimikado, Misaka, and Itsuwa came rushing in.

"You guys!" Touma called out.

"Kurusu...I got some news you might want to hear." Tsuchimikado spoke with a grin. "Your son has been cured."

Kurusu, Nishijima, and Minene gasped in shock.

"Yes, Orsola was able to use her ability to cure your son from his condition. He'll make a full recovery, though, we'll have him checked out again to make sure of it." Tsuchimikado continued.

Kurusu wasn't buying this. "C'mon, I don't believe that can be real. My son's condition is very severe." He then heard his phone ring. "Hello, who is this?"

"Keigo, my love..." The chief gasped upon hearing the voice. "Our son is cured, his heart condition is gone and for good. Orsola Aquinas a young nun was able to use something magical and cure our son."

Kurusu's body trembled but in a good way. "Dad...it's me...Yo..." The chief felt his heart melt with relief and joy. "How can this be...?" Tears formed in his eyes. "Yo, is that your voice?"

"Yes, Dad, the nice nun saved me...I'm all better." Yo beamed weakly but cured.

Kurusu's eyes began to pour tears of joy and relief that dripped down his cheeks. "Yo...it's a miracle...I didn't think I would see the day that my son would be cured." He leaned his head back taking a small deep breath. "Touma Kamijou...your friends are truly something than I'd imagined. It seems you and your friends inspire hope but I was too foolish to see that."

Touma smiled a little. "I glad to hear it."

Kurusu looked in Minene's direction. "9th...I know this is selfish but, could you be my ally once more?" He took his cell phone and snapped it apart.

"Kurusu!" Yukiteru shouted in shock.

"Crap, that idiot!" Touma cursed under his breath.

Kurusu tossed the two remaining parts of his cell phone. "I have three things to say. First, Aiho, I don't know how long you and your friends plan to stay in this city but perhaps you can take my place until you find a way home." Aiho nodded her head. "Nishijima, work alongside Aiho and her friends. Protect this city from the danger of the other Future Diary holders."

The chief looked at Minene. "Lastly, 9th look after my son."

"I accept..." Minene acknowledged.

"Yukiteru, I'm not expecting you to forgive me for what I had done, but keep living and win this entire game!" With those last words, Kurusu vanished into the black vortex until nothing was left.

9:00 AM Sakurami City Police Department.

Uiharu was checking out some things on the computer. "Looks like there are some disappearances going in abandoned town. According to some reports, there is a mountain camp are about two hours away. A few campers went missing that decided to explore the abandoned town and never came back."

"Sounds like a mystery to me," Saten chuckled intrigued.

Kuroko cleared her throat. "This again, it's probably just bandits or robbers picking them off. No matter, we'll be investigating it further in a day or so." The pig-tailed esper noticed some officers speaking among themselves as they walked out of the office. "Suspicious..."

Uiharu scrolled through some latest reports and found one that stood out. "Huh...investigating Gasai's household...what is this?" She read it for a minute and her eyes widened a little.

Akise was at his house in the kitchen sitting at the table talking on the cell phone with the police. "I see, thank you for the information."

Ding Dong

Akise went to open the door and saw Tsubaki. "Akise, how are you doing?" The sixth diary holder greeted.

"I see that you're showing up recently," Akise muttered. "Anyway, did you gather some information about Touma and his friends from DEUS?"

Tsubaki looked a little ashamed. "Well, I don't like going behind their backs since they were able to uncover my parent's deaths and help my eyesight. However, considering that I'm worried about Yuki's safety. Well, I can tell you what I learned."

"We'll talk about that later, right now, I need to make some preparations," Akise said.

10:12 AM

Yukiteru was getting dressed for the day.

Yuki's POV

"Mr. Nishijima and Aiho took care of the dirty work afterward. Of course, Yuno and I were grilled pretty hard about it, but...it was a misunderstanding for the most part. Plus, Kurusu's son was cured and expected to make a full recovery. I'm glad that Orsola was somehow able to cure him, though, I wonder what she did. I can say that the police had it even tougher when 9th escaped too. As for Kurusu, I'm glad that he was still the friend he was and I'm sure Touma and the others realized that too."

He then looked at a clock that was hanging on the wall. "Oops, I don't want to be late for my meeting with Yuno."

Tsuchimikado was having a chat with Touma, Misaka, Accelerator, Index, Orsola, Itsuwa, Misaki, and Kanzaki at their apartment.

"Hold on, are you saying that Akise was at Yuno's house?" Touma asked.

Tsuchimikado nodded his head. "Yes, I don't want it but I don't like it."

Accelerator scoffed with annoyance. "So, the dumbass is a pervert, huh?"

Orsola put her finger to her chin. "No, he claims to be a detective and hopes to become a famous one. He doesn't strike me as a pervert."

Misaka thought otherwise especially how the detective made moves on Yukiteru which made her shiver upon imagining Kuroko acted the same way toward her.

"I admit that hunk is a clever one, Misaki giggled.

Kanzaki wasn't like this. "Still, what is Akise doing especially when he should've been helping us with Kurusu?"

"Yeah, Tsubaki hasn't been around either in fact, she was spending time with Akise recently," Itsuwa added.

"Anyway, where are Yuki and Yuno now?" Misaka asked.

"I heard they're planning to go on a trip stargazing to be exact, at least that's what I heard," Touma answered.

Yukiteru and Yuno were arriving at the train station.

"Gee, my dad isn't home right now. I was hoping he'd answer because I want him to give me something." Yukiteru complained a little.

He suddenly got a message from Akise, but, before he could open the message, Yuno snatched the cell phone and giggled innocently. "The last one on board has to massage the winner's feet!" She ran off as Yukiteru chased after her.

A short time later.

Yukiteru and Yuno went to the station to wait for the train. While Yuki went to get a snack, Yuno secretly checked out the message that was sent to her crush's phone and read it. "This Akise Aru. Liste Yukiteru, I got word from an acquaintance of mine, that Gasai seems to be under investigation. There is wanted notice out for her currently but she has been missing since yesterday. I don't know what she's up to but don't get close to her" Yuno froze on the spot.

Akise was sitting on his bed while Tsubaki was making some snacks. "Was it okay for me to send the message now?" He thought hastily.

Yukiteru and Yuno left the city and came to a stop that was decided by Yuno, who planned to do something else carrying some clothes in her bag but with other items that were beyond what Yuki was imagining.

The two decided to stop at a bus station and were getting some sodas.

Yukiteru was sitting on the bench when Yuno approached him with a soda.

"Hello there..." The two teenagers were approached by a hooded figure.

"W-who are you?" Yukiteru asked startled.

Yuno was on edge at this sudden stranger. "Did Akise send this person to follow us?"

The hooded figure put their hands above their head and gas covered the two teenagers and there was a thud.

Yukiteru and Yuno were soon passed out. "Sleep tight..." The hooded figure pulled back their hoodie and revealed to be Selena in her goblin-like appearance. "Now my children take them to our hideout now." About ten goblins appeared and a few of them carried the two teenagers off into the woods with Selena following them.

Kurusu's son was cured and the chief surrendered. With Minene's help, she was able to give the evidence proving Yuki and Yuno's innocence. Saten and Uiharu learn of disappearances in an abandoned town. Tsuchimikado has a conversation with the others about Akise's investigating Yuno for his reasons. Meanwhile, Yukiteru and Yuno go on their stargazing trip until Akise sends a message warning about Yuno being investigated by the police. Panicked, Yuno decided to make a secret plan only for her and Yukiteru to be ambushed by Selena and taken away into the woods.

The main question is, Why is Akise investigating Yuno for and what is Selena's motive on kidnapping Yuki and Yuno, find out next time.
