Episode 50: Maxxed Out!
One day, Mew and her friends arrive at a Pokemon Center situated on the banks of a beautiful lake, taking a break from their travel to Fallarbor Town.
Both humans and Pokemon call out, "Hello?"
"Nurse Joy?" Brock calls out.
Soon, Nurse Joy walks over, "Hi, everyone. Welcome.
"Tis I, Brock. And now allow me to present to you a token of my feelings for you, Nurse Joy," Brock says, and gives her roses.
"Wow! Why, thank you!" Nurse Joy says.
"Oh, great. Here we go again," May says.
"You'd think he'd give up at some point," Max replies.
"Trust me, he'll never stop," Jen says.
And then Brock says, "Be it rain, snow, sleet or ice, no matter what adversity Mother Nature throws, has thrown, or will throw my way, I continue my quest to be with you, traveling vast distances to witness your beauty!"
"Wow, all that walking and so full of bologna," Max says.
May chuckles sheepishly before Skitty comes out by itself before it starts to chase its tail
"Skitty, you let yourself out again," Mays says.
"Your Skitty looks great!" Nurse Joy says.
"Thank you, but it should know better," May says.
"Yeah, Skitty. Return," Max says.
Soon, a young man enters the Pokémon Center, not particularly happily.
"Don't worry, leave this to me," Brock says.
But Skitty leaps up and starts seemingly attacking while chasing its tail.
"I got this," May says, and gets out a cattail toy) Look, Skitty. Look over here.
However, May sneezes and drops the cattail before Max grabs it while Skitty gets back on the floor.
"Hey, Skitty," Max says, and moves the cattail around playfully, getting its attention, "That's it. Good Skitty."
"Way to go, Max," Tomo says.
"It sure isn't easy calming you down, is it, Skitty?" May says.
Molly giggles, "But Skitty is so sweet.
Suddenly, someone shouts at them, "Hey! Keep it down, will ya? All that yelling can get annoying fast."
Everyone looks to see a young man who has dark brown hair, wears a dark green shirt with an orange jacket, and glasses. Shocking enough, this boy has a strong resemblance to Max, but also looks a little older than him.
Max tries to apologize, "Oh, sorry about that."
But the boy angrily says, "Just because you're here with Pokémon doesn't mean you can just do whatever you please."
"But that's no reason for you to be so rude," Max says.
"Zip it and get out of here, now!" The boy says.
"What?!" Max exclaims angrily.
Soon, Nurse Joy walks over, "Max, that's enough!"
"Huh? Nurse Joy, how do you know my name?" Max says, confused.
Nurse Joy turns to Max, "Huh? You're saying that your name is Max?"
"Yeah," Max replies.
Nurse Joy turns to the other boy, "Well, this boy is named Max, too.
"Wha?! You're kidding!" Max says, shocked.
"So, there are two Maxes?" May asks.
Soon, Max 2 says, "That won't be the case for long if the shorter one changes his name."
"What are you talking about? Any kid can be named Max!" Max 1 says, angrily.
"That so?" Max 2 demands.
"Yeah, because I know that for a fact," Max 1 says.
Max 2 angrily says, "You looking for a fight or something?"
"Bring it on!" Max 1 angrily says.
Nurse Joy soon separates them, "Knock it off!"
After a brief stare down, Max 2 leaves.
"What's his problem?" Max asks.
"I have no idea," Jen says.
Nurse Joy turns to Max, "Just take it easy on him. You like Pokémon, don't you, Max?"
Max nods in agreement
"Well, so does Max. And he comes here all the time just to play with the ones that have made a full recovery," Nurse Joy says.
Soon, Brock comes over, "Nurse Joy, I'd be honored if you'd allow me to see to it that these two boys settle their differences."
Thanks, Brock," Nurse Joy says.
However, Max says, "I don't remember asking for his help," Then crosses his arms, "Please, I don't care about him."
Meanwhile, Max 2 was sitting near the lake. Elsewhere, James was just waking up.
"Morning," James says and looks at his clock and sees that he overslept, "Noon?! But how did that happen?!"
"Could you try keepin' it down? I need my beauty sleep," Meowth says.
Jessie yawns, "That's for sure."
"Well, no wonder. It seems I didn't set the alarm to the right time again," James says.
Jessie taps on James's shoulders, "Excuse me. We're camping out in a forest, right? Why on earth do we have to set an alarm?"
"Yeah, that's right," Meowth says.
"For our morning wake up routine," James says and goes to a lake and fills a bowl with water before washing his face, "No matter where we roam, without a routine to go through to get ourselves ready for the day, our time could be wasted. Doesn't that make sense?"
"You're always tinking of stuff like dat. Now I'm clean too," Meowth says.
"Perfect," James says, "Well, since it's a new day that means we have another chance to catch Pikachu and Eevee!
"Wow. So, what's with the excitement?" Jessie questions.
"I'll tell you," James says. Suddenly, James becomes depressed and sits down, "I've had just about enough."
"Wha?" Meowth says, confused.
James then says, "Day after day, week after week, we've gone through our lives without nearly enough scraps of food. Well, I'm not going to take it anymore!" and says, "So, I say we catch Pikachu and Eevee or bust! Shake off the dust of defeat and get a real life!"
However, James realizes that Jessie and Meowth were just walking away
"Huh? Guys?" James questions.
"Yeah, whatever, we're going to get some lunch," Jessie says.
"In da meantime, fold up our sleeping bags. Dere's a routine for ya!" Meowth says.
James sighs, "Where did I go wrong? Why me?"
Meanwhile, May was looking out over the lake
"What a beautiful day!" May says.
"It sure is," Jen says.
"I bet it must be nice not having a care in the world," Max says, annoyed.
Jen turns to Max, "You're mad, huh."
"Yeah. I'm mad," Max answers, "I'm thinking about that kid with the same name as me and how rude he was."
"Forget about that. Besides, Nurse Joy told the two of you to try and get along," May says.
"Not going to happen," Max says.
"You're starting to sound like a kid," May says.
"Maybe because I am a kid," Max points out.
"Oh. Silly me," May says.
Soon, they spot a creature skating across the surface of the lake.
"Awesome! A Surskit!" Max says.
"Look how cute it is," May says and gets out her Pokédex.
Dextette says, "Surskit, the Pond Skater Pokémon. A Bug and Water Type. Surskit inhabits ponds, rivers and similar wetlands. They move about as if skating the water's surface."
Jen also notices, "Look, there's more of them."
They look to see four more Surskits, and they soon skate to where the second Max was sitting, and the sight of it cheers him up instantly.
Max 2 calls out, "Yo! Hey, Surskit!" He then leaps down to the shore, "Hi. So, you want to have some more fun today?"
All the Surskit swim up to him and say, "Sur." (Sure!)
May, Max, Jen soon arrive and see what's up.
"Well, look, it's the other Max. Let's head over," May says.
"Nah," Max refuses.
"Don't you want to get a closer look at Surskit?" Jen asks.
"Well, I guess," Max replies.
"Let's go," May says, and grabs her brother's right hand and pulls him away.
"Hey!" Max cries out.
Jen follows soon after.
Max 2 continues talking to the Surskit, "What do you want to play today, huh?"
"Hey, Max," May says.
"Hi," Jen says.
Max and the four Surskit turn to see May and her brother, and Jen
Max 2 demands, "What are you doing hanging around here?"
"Because I feel like it and I have as much a right to be here as you," Max 1 says.
"Get outta here," Max 2 says.
Max 1 says, "Oh, yeah?"
And May says, "Hey, cut it out."
Then Jen asks, "So, does that Surskit belong to you, Max?"
"It's my favorite Pokémon," Max 2 answers.
"I guess that means you have some other Pokémon, too, huh?" May asks.
"Maybe. Maybe not," Max 2 replies.
"Surskit looks great," Max 1 kneels down to pet its head.
"Hands off!" Max 2 shouts and smacks his hand away, "I'm sure you and your sister are on your way somewhere else, so why don't you join your friends and get there, quick?"
"We'll go when we want!" Max 1 says.
"Yeah?" Max 2 says.
May tries to break them up, "Max, will you just stop it?"
Max 1 & 2 shout, "Stop what?!"
"Hold on, sorry, I was talking to Max," May says.
"Yeah, so?" Both Max respond.
This is making May go crazy, "Come on! This is crazy!"
"It sure is. I can't believe that you two are still bickering," May says.
The others turn to see Mew and the rest of the group arriving.
"To be honest, it's rather silly," Brock says.
"Silly?! Why don't you butt out?" Max 2 angrily says.
Max 1 then angrily says, "They can say what they want to! You think you own this lake or something?!"
"What did you say?!" Max 2 demands.
"You heard me!" Max 1 angrily says.
"Will you two stop fighting?!" Jen says, annoyed.
However, none of them are aware that Team Rocket was spying on them.
"Well, there are our favorite twerps," Jessie says.
"And they've grown an extra one into their ranks," James says.
"Yeah, but it looks to me like they're feuding," Meowth says.
Soon, Jessie spots the Surskits, "Hey, who's that darling Pokémon?"
"It's called a Surskit," James says.
And Meowth says, "And I tink I know what we'll happen after we catch dat ting an' present it to da boss!"
"Not again," Jessie and James respond,
A fantasy scenario begins.
Meowth explains, "Imagine if da boss wakes up one morning, stressed out as usual."
"Imagined," Jessie and James reply.
Meowth continues, "'I've been working so hard lately, and I'm so stressed out dat I can't sleep at night.'"
"Aw," Jessie and James reply.
Jessie then asks, "And then?"
"Proceed," James replies.
Meowth continues on, "He goes over to his balcony waiting for da early morning sun to rise to lift his spirt, but he may end up seein' just a cloudy landscape, an' dat's when he looks at dat Surskit down by his garden lake! An' once dat Pokémon cutie lifts his spirits to da moon an' back, you know what he'll say? 'Since dat Meowth an' his teammates gave me dis Surskit, dey're a team dat should be well commended for deir efforts.'
The fantasy scenario ends, and both Jessie and James are intrigued.
Team Rocket cheers, "So, we give a Surskit, and then what do we get? Money!"
"So, whose criminal home base will be the grandest of them all?" Jessie replies.
James and Meowth cheer, "Team Rocket's!"
"Woooobbuffet!" (That's the truth!) Wobbuffet says.
Back at the lake, the feud continues.
"What are you going to do?" Max 2 questions.
"Why don't you make the first move?" Max 1 responds.
Just then, Brock says, "Hey, time out."
Everyone becomes confused.
And Brock says, "I think we all should let out our Pokemon so they can play together."
Both Maxes are confused.
"That's a great idea!" May says.
Mew then calls out, "Treecko, Taillow, Delcatty, Faye, Mudkip, Combusken, come on out!
Brock calls out, "Forretress, Rockruff, Seedot, Cherubi, Lotad!
May calls out, "Torchic, Beautifly, Mudkip, Aaron, Skitty!"
Tomo calls out, "Bidoof, Cranidos, Ponyta, Cubone, Tangela, go!"
Jen calls out, "Alright, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Rello, Lechonk, Snover, lets have some fun!"
Molly calls out, "Teddiursa, Yamper, Espeon, Vanillite, Spinda, go!"
Max then does the same, "Zigzagoon, Shroomish, Poochyena, Nincada, come on out."
Soon, all the trainers let out some of their Pokemon.
Max 2 is amazed, "Whoa. I've never seen so many Pokémon in one place before."
Then turns to Max 1, "And it's amazing that you have some.
"Thanks. Someday, I'll become the leader of the gym run by my dad," Max says.
"That's pretty cool. And so is this. There's nothing in the whole wide world that I'd rather do than hang out with tons of Pokémon," Max 2 says.
Soon, May says, "Okay guys, this here is your new friend, Skitty. Now, play nice."
The Pokemon agree, but then Skitty starts chasing its tail again.
"Oh, boy. Here we go again," May says.
Tomo turns to May, "Quick, May, the toy."
"Right!" May says and gets out the cattail, "Hey, Skitty. Look what I have."
However, Skitty just hops onto a rock and goes to sleep
Max 2 looks at Skitty, "So, it goes crazy and then just falls asleep?"
"Pretty much. There's never a dull moment when we have May's Skitty around," Brock says.
As Brock talks, they're unaware that Team Rocket is spying from the bushes.
"Isn't that the same Skitty from the aromatherapy lab?" Jessie says.
"Looks like it. And dat twoipy May caught it," Meowth says
"Who gives a Hoot-Hoot? It's time for Operation: Surskit Snatch!" James says.
The three of them soon jump out and surprise the group.
"Team Rocket!" May and Molly say, surprised.
"Pikachu, Eevee, be ready," Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee prepare themselves for the attack.
But Meowth says, "Oh, relax!"
"We're not here for Pikachu or Eevee," Jessie says.
"We're here for the Surskit troop," James says.
"No way!" Max 1 says, shocked.
"So, who are you jokers?" Max 2 demands.
And with that, Team rocket performs their motto.
Jessie:
Prepare for trouble because we don't care for jokes.
James:
Make it double cause we're serious folks!
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation!
She then kicks a football to James.
James: (catches it and runs)
To unite all peoples within our nation!
Jessie: (runs alongside him)
To denounce the evils of truth and love!
James: (passes the ball to Jessie)
To extend our reach to the stars above!
Jessie: (passes the ball to James)
Jessie!
James:
James!
Jessie:
Team Rocket breaks the line at the speed of light!
And gets around Brock as he tries to tackle her down.
James:
We'll mow you down, so surrender or fight!
As he runs past May fast enough to make her spin around.
Meowth:
Meowth, dat's right!
And hops on Tomo's head after stopping mid-run, preventing him from stopping him)
Wobbuffet:
Wobbuuuuuffet! (And a touchdown!)
Mew calls out, "Treecko, Quick Attack!"
Treecko closes in.
"Here you go," Jessie says and hands him the ball while she goes for the group of Surskit.
Mew calls out, "Pikachu, Thunderbolt, now!"
Pikachu performs the attack.
"Ta-da!" Meowth calls out and laughs as he uses an umbrella to block the attack, "Dis ting is da Zap Back Mark 8 Electricity Repella Umbrella!"
Skitty wakes up to see Team Rocket close in on a worried group of Surskit.
"Our Poke-prize awaits!" James says.
"Ready or not…" Meowth says.
"Here we come!" Jessie says.
Suddenly, Skitty grabs on to the back of Jessie's hair, thinking it's a toy.
"Skitty?!" Meowth panics.
"Oh no!" May cries out.
As Skitty plays with Jessie's hair, it causes her pain.
Jessie screams, "Let go of my locks, you lame excuse for a cat!"
James tries to calm Jessie, "Wait! Stay calm and keep still Jess!"
"Just keep your cool!" Meowth says.
Jessie swings her hair at her teammates and Skitty finally lets her hair go after hitting both James and Meowth in the face.
She promptly runs away crying, "A woman's hair is her life!"
James and Meowth soon follow her
"Wait for us!" James calls out.
"Yeah, slow down!" Meowth panics.
"Guess we don't have to worry about them," Tomo says.
May turns to her Skitty, ""Are you okay, Skitty?"
Skitty confirms.
But then they hear a scream," No!"
Max 2 says, shocked, "The Surskits are gone!"
"You sure?" Brock asks.
Max 1 soon notices, "Hey, guys! Look!
What Max sees and points to trails of tracks leading into the woods.
"Those are Surskit's tracks!" Max 2 says.
"Team Rocket must have scared them and they ran away," Mew says.
"Then I've got to go look for it!" Max 2 says and runs off, "Surskit!"
"He's upset," May says.
"Yeah. Surprised he cares so much," Max says.
"What?" Jen questions.
"Guess he has a heart after all," Max 1 says.
"He sure does," Molly says.
"Come On guys, we better go help Max find the Surskits," Mew says.
"Yeah," Max 1 agrees.
Meanwhile, out in the forest, Max 2 was looking for his friend.
Max 2 calls out, "Surskit?! Where are you?! Surskit?!"
Soon, Mew and the others arrive.
"Wait, Max!" Mew calls out.
"Wait up!" May calls out.
Max 2 turns to the group, "What are you guys doing following me?"
"Well, we want to help you find Surskit," Max 1 says
Max 2 is taken aback.
"Let us help. Surskit is a good friend of yours, isn't that, right?" Max 1 says.
"Of course," Max 2 replies.
Suddenly, a giant robot plows towards them before coming to a stop with James and Meowth inside while Jessie is ducking down.
"Team Rocket?" Mew questions.
"What do you want, now?" Max 1 demands.
"One group of Surskit, if you please," James says.
"They're not here," Max 2
"Yeah, thanks to you guys scaring them off," Max 2 says.
"Us guys? Scaring them?" Meowth questions and turns toward where Jessie was sitting.
James turns to where Jessie's sitting, "Thanks, Jess. You just had to have that Skitty start mucking up your hair and…"
However, both Jessie and Meowth were trying to hold in their laughter.
Jessie whines and cries out, "Don't you dare laugh!" When she comes out, it's revealed that the end of her hair has been frazzled by Skitty.
"Oh my!" Mew says.
"Look at her hair," Jen says.
"Yeah. It looks like…" Max 1 says.
"A dust mop," May says.
And soon, everyone begins laughing at Jessie's hair.
Jessie is not pleased by it at all, "So, you're all getting a nice, big, fat laugh out of this, huh?! Well, here's MY idea of funny!"
Right at that moment, Jessie makes the robot's giant hammer come down right in front of them, blowing them back a bit. The entire group runs as Team Rocket gives chase.
Jessie screams in rage, "Take that! Still think it's, funny?!"
James tries to calm her down, "Jessie, calm yourself down!"
"Remember, we got to get dat Surskit!" Meowth says.
But Jessie screams, "Leave me alone!" and shoves James and Meowth aside with her hair, "My hair! My beautiful hair! Ruined! Ruined!
Jessie growls as she makes the hammer come down hard enough to send the group splitting up and flying in separate directions.
Sometime later, it's revealed that May, Max, Jen, and Amaura end up in a tree.
May sits up and asks, "Where are we, Max?"
"I don't know," Max answers.
Jen looks around, "And we landed in a tree."
Suddenly, they hear Max 2's voice, "I know where we are!"
They all look down and see Max 2 on the forest floor
"Man, did we fly far or what? But I know this forest like the back of my hand," Max 2 says.
May, her brother, and Jen jump/climb down from the trees.
"Max, they'll be back," May says.
"So, we got to find your Surskit friends, fast!" Max 1 says.
Max 2 says, "Now that I think about it, none of this would've happened if Surskit and I had been traveling together, like you do with your Pokémon."
"Huh?" The three reply confused.
Soon, Max 2, "Well, see, watching you guys together started to get me thinking that traveling with someone is actually kind of fun."
"Yeah?" Max 1 replies confused.
Elsewhere, Mew and the rest of the group end up pulling themselves up on the ledge.
"I'll never be able to figure out those three as long as I live," Mew says.
"Pika. (Same here.) Pikachu agrees.
"Eevee," (You said it.) Eevee replies.
"I agree," Tomo says.
"We got to find and catch up to the others, quick!" Brock says.
"Okay. Taillow, I choose you!" Mew says and calls out Taillow.
Taillow comes out.
"Taillow, go find the others!" Mew calls out.
"Taillow! (Roger!) Taillow says and flies off.
"Come on guys, let's follow Taillow," Mew says.
"Yeah, the sooner we find Surskit or the others, the better.," Brock says.
The rest of the gang agrees.
As for Team Rocket, Jessie is still in rage.
She angrily calls out, "Okay... Jessie's here! Come out! Come out! Wherever you are!"
James quietly says, "I think Jessie's lost it for good!"
"Dat stuff you said before when we foist woke up? You're right! So, we should try to get a life while we each got a life left!" Meowth quietly says.
As for group one, Max, May and Jen learned the truth about Max 2.
"Wait. But, Max, I thought you were a Pokémon trainer," Max 1 says.
"Me? Well, I wish. But here I was thinking that you were Skitty's trainer this whole time," Max 2 says, "Well, I guess I lashed out at you guys because I thought you were making fun of me. And, you know, I was probably a little bit jealous, too. I mean, Max, you've gotten to travel all over the region with all of those cool Pokémon, and even have some on your own."
"You, jealous?" Mac replies.
"Really?" Jen replies.
Then Max 1 says, "Honestly, I was a bit jealous of you."
"Why?" Max 2 says.
Because you got that really cool Surskit as a friend," Max 1 says.
"Yeah, you're right. You know, it's so weird," Max 2 says, "A couple of jealous Maxes. Go figure, right?"
"Yeah, right," Max 1 says,
Then everyone begins laughing.
"Well, it's about time, guys," May says.
"I agree," Jen says.
Suddenly, they hear and see Team Rocket coming their way.
"It's Team Rocket," Jen says.
"Alright?" Max 2 says, shocked.
"Now we gotta find the Surskits," May says.
Everyone agrees and heads off.
Meanwhile, Mew and the others are searching around for the rest.
"Max?! May?! Jen?!" Mew calls out.
"Where are you?!" Brock calls out.
"Guys!" Tomo calls out.
Even the Pokemon calls out.
Back to group one, they come across a river.
"I think the Surskits like to hang around the water," Jen says.
"That's right, Jen. They love wetlands," Max 2 says.
May calls out, "Surskit?!"
"Surskit!" Jen calls out.
Max 1 & 2 call out, "Hey! Surskit!"
Suddenly, Team Rocket comes barreling in.
"We meet again," Jessie says.
"Oh, no," May cries out.
"We're in trouble," Jen says.
The group tries to run off.
"Right behind you!" Jessie says, using the machine to chase them.
"Know of any other wet areas, Max?" Max 1 asks,
"I do! There's a spring deep in the forest," Max 2 answers.
The group runs on before they arrive at said spring and find the Surskit group.
"Surskit! Alright!" Max 2 cheers.
Max 2 happily jumps into the water and holds the larger Surskit
"Surskit, are you alright? Are you hurt?" Max 2 asks, relieved and worried.
Surskit happily rubs one of its legs on Max 2's head.
"Isn't that great?" Jen says.
"It sure is," May says.
What they see is another level to the spring.
"This spring has two different levels," Max says.
"Pretty cool," May says.
Then one of the Surskits walks towards Max 1 and reaches its legs out towards him.
"You want me to pick you up?" Max 1 asks.
The Surskit nods, and Max 1 picks it up.
Suddenly, Team Rocket shows up behind them.
The three turn their heads and cry out, "Team Rocket.
"You got that right! Now get ready for this!" Jessie says angrily.
"Perhaps, we've gone too far?" James asks.
"It isn't too late to toin back," Meowth says.
Jessie turns to the boys, "You're kidding, right? I'm here for a Surskit and that's that," And calls out, "Seviper, go!"
Seviper comes out.
"Cacnea, I choose you!" James also calls out.
Cacnea comes out, but turns to hug James instead.
"Not me, Cacnea! Them!" James cries out.
"I've had enough!" May says.
"Me too!" Jen says.
But Max 1 says, "May, Jen, hold on!"
Then Max 2 says, "Don't worry, we'll hand these goons.
"Well, what do you have in mind?" Max asks.
Both Max say, "We'll battle em!"
Both Surskit agree.
Jessie laughs, "Four tiny twerps trying to battle Team Rocket?"
"Knee-slapper," James says.
As James talks, Taillow spots them.
"Hand over Surskit while you're still able!" James says.
Taillow then flies back to let the others know.
Jessie then calls out, "Poison Tail, Seviper!"
Seviper darts in towards them.
Max 1 says, "Incoming!"
"Right!" Max 2 says.
Everyone darts out of the way before the Poison Tail strikes the ground.
James calls out, "Use Pin Missile, Cacnea!"
The attack fires at Surskit
Max 2 calls out, "Agility, Surskit!"
Surskit manages to evade seconds before the attack hits the water.
"Seviper, don't let it escape!" Jessie calls out.
Seviper manages to land a Poison Tail strike, sending the Surskit out of the water, gaining everyone's attention.
Everyone cries out, "Surskit, no!"
"That's it? All this time and energy spent and that's all Surskit can do?" Jessie says.
"But we were just stealing it cause it was cute," Meowth says.
"I KNOW THAT!" Jessie cries out.
Then James calls out, "Alright, Cacnea, Needle Arm!"
However, Cacnea is seen flailing around in the water.
"Looks like your Cacnea can't swim," Meowth says.
Cacnea sinks
James sulks as he calls back his Pokemon, "Return. How embarrassing."
Jessie then calls out, "Seviper, Poison Tail again!"
Seviper positions itself for a final strike
"Max, we got to think fast!" Max 2 saus.
Max 1 has an idea, "I know!" And points to the rock separating the two levels of the spring, "Think you could break that rock over there?"
"How do you propose we do that? That rock is huge," May asks.
But Max 2 has an idea, "Hang on! Surskit has just the attack!" And calls out, "Break the rock with Water Pulse, now!"
Surskit darts away in time.
"Hey, you missed!" Jessie shouts.
Surskit performs the attack, and it hits the rock hard, causing water to leak from the cracks before the full thing gives way. The oncoming rush of water washes Seviper out and washes Team Rocket away while the heroes celebrate
"Way to go, Surskit," Max 2 says and holds the Surskit.
Soon, the others arrive happily.
"They're all okay," Max says.
Jessie suddenly rises out of the water, scaring everyone.
"Now I'm scared!" May and Jen panic.
"Me, too!" James cries out.
"Look away! Maybe she won't notice us!" Meowth cries out.
James and Meowth turn around anyway.
Jessie then approaches Surskit, "I must catch the Surskit. I must catch the Surskit. Give me the Surskit right now!" She then reaches for and grabs it, "Gimme that Surskit!""
Max 2 refuses, "No! Never!"
Jen, May, and Max try to pull her off.
"Let go!" Max 1 shouts.
"Get your hands off of it!" May screams
"Leave it alone!" Jen adds.
Then May calls out, "Skitty, help me out!
Skitty comes out and immediately attacks with Double Slap before knocking Jessie into the water on her face, shocking her teammates.
"Jessie?" James calls out.
Soon, Taillow arrives, Mew and the others follow from behind.
"We're coming, everyone!" Mew calls out.
"Everyone okay?!" Molly calls out.
Soon, Jessie gets out of the water, "How convenient! A perfect way to catch the group of Surskit, Eevee, and Pikachu, too!" She then calls out, "Seviper, get them!"
"Pikachu! Eevee! Thunderbolt!" Mew calls out.
Both Pokemon fire the attack, but Meowth blocks it with the umbrella.
Meowth laughs, "Da Zap Back Mark 8 Electricity Repella Umbrella again!"
"And the best part is, it works!" Jessie says.
"How do you like us now?" Jams says.
Max 1 turns to Max 2, "Are you ready, Max?"
"Yes!" Max 2 says.
Then they both call out to the Surskits, "Surskit, Bubble Beam!"
And they both toss the Surskit up. Both Surskit launch the attack and knocks the umbrella out of Meowth's paws.
"Whoops," Meowth yelps.
Without the umbrella, the electric attack shocks them, cause the machine to explode and sending Team Rocket flying.
"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out.
"That was great guys," Mew says.
"Your Surskit was amazing, Max," Brock says.
"Thanks, you guys," Max 2 says.
Then Max 1 says, "I think we made a pretty good team, don't you?"
"So who's we?" Tomo asks.
"Yeah. Me and Max here," Max 1 says.
"Yep. And Surskit, too," Max 2 says
Both Surskit happily agree.
"Well, it's good to see you two getting along," Brock says.
May turns to Skitty, "And you were a big help too, Skitty."
Skitty meows in agreement as the two Maxes laugh.
Later that evening, our heroes are back at the Pokémon Center.
"Well, Max, I think it's time for us to get going," Max 1 says.
"Okay, but someday, my Surskit and I will be traveling together, too," Max 2, "And when we meet back up again, you and I will have a battle."
Max 1 says, "And meanwhile, I'll keep searching for a favorite Pokémon of my own. Just like you found your Surskit," and shakes Max's hand with Surskit adding its leg in.
Soon, Max feels a tap and looks down to see the little Surskit.
"What's up Surskit?" Max 1 asks.
Then the Surskit climbs on Max's head and snuggles it, making him laugh.
Max 2 laughs and says, "I think this Surskit wants to go with you Max."
"Really?" Max 1 asks.
The Surskit nods in reply.
"I think so. It seems to like you," Max 2 says.
"Wow," Max says, and picks up the Surskit to ask, "So Surskit, you want to come with me?"
The Surskit nods in response.
"Great," Max says, and taps a Pokeball on it.
Surskit comes inside the Pokeball, after a shake and wobble, the Pokeball pings.
Max says, "Yeah. I caught a Surskit."
Everyone is happy to hear that Max has made a new friend.
Soon, everyone begins on the road again.
"See you later, Nurse Joy!" Mew calls out.
"Thanks for everything, you guys!" May calls out.
Nurse Joy calls out, "Have a safe trip!
"Bye, Max! Good luck!" Max 2 calls out, "And take care of little Surskit."
"Sur!" (Bye!) Surskit says.
"Thanks a lot, Max! You, too!" Max 1 calls out.
"Surskit," (Goodbye!) Little Surskit calls out.
Today, both Maxes found a special new friend in each other. And now, taking fond memories with them, our heroes continue their journey to Fallarbor Town.
